Mood: Relaxed/Content
Music: Rie Fu - Life is Like a Boat =)

We are all rowing the boat of fate, the waves keep on comin' and we can't escape... Wow, it's been a long time since I've last posted, but really there's been nothing to post about until now. Let's see...

First off, THE THEATRE KIDS MADE IT TO STATE!! THEY'RE COMING TO AUSTIN!! WOOO-HOOOO!!! Congratulations to all of you for making AHS history! I'm so proud of you guys. =)

Okay, on to the next topic. So yesterday I was in Biology and Prof. Buskirk was talking about immunizations and how they worked, and she mentions how "A long LONG time ago, the way they used to do it was, well... little Johnny's mom would hear that the kid down the street has the chicken pox, so she'd grab Johhny and make him play go play with him." Everyone laughed at the "punch line." Ummm... and if I told you my mom actually did that to me? 'Cause she did. -_-; Well, more like she did that to my sister when I got them. I forget who I got them from, but after I did, she practically glued Cindy to me until she got them too. Heh heh heeeeh... oh dear.

So, um, like, I, like, TOTALLY, like, had something else to, like, blog about, but, like, I, like, TOTALLY, forgot what it was! Like, ohmygawsh! Like, tee hee!

I'll give a cookie to anyone who can tell me how many times I used "like" in that sentence... Really? No. HA! THAT'S RIGHT I JUST CRUSHED YOUR HOPES AND DREAMS! NO COOKIE FOR YOU BI-AAAAATCH!!!

(Ok, so I don't know why I just did that, and I sincerely apologise for it. Ngh. I'm tired... End transmission...)

But if we ever get lost on our way, the waves would guide you thru another day...

Mood: Chipper
Music: Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong - They Can't Take that Away from Me

The way your smile just beams... Sooooo, let's see what's happened in Katieland since the last post, shall we?

First off, I had my hell week. That partially contributed to the total lack of postage for this little while. The breakdown?
Chem exam: 2 stupid mistakes that angered me greatly. So this is Katie angered. *ANGER* Get the picture? Ok good.
Bio exam: I'm not sure... one of those crazy exams in which you think you're doing horribly while your taking it, but when you go back and check your problem points you don't think you did so bad... Did that even make any sense? Didn't think so.
RTF exam: Pretty easy, but not as easy as the first one. I may have done well enough to just walk in, bubble C straight down, and leave for the third exam. That would be nice, but we'll see.
Anyway, Hell Week came, it left, it's over. Thank gawd. Moving on!

Oh oh! The week before my Hell Week, those of you who go to UT probably (well, ok, most definitely) saw this. I don't mean the protest, I mean the anti-abortion exhibit thing. For those of you who DON'T go to UT, just know that Gregory Gym is one of the highest traffic areas on campus, so any sort of demonstration there will get a lot of attention. As graphic and biased as this exhibit was, I think the fact that UT allows such controversial stuff on the campus just shows what an open school it is, and that, in turn, makes it AWESOME. Oh and don't worry, for all you pro-choicers out there. They had their own demonstration down the street, it just wasn't as graphic and flashy, but it was there and it was just as big. I mean, as cool as the whole idea of encouraging "free talk" (they had "free talk boards set up for people to write their opinions on) on controversial topics like this is, it can be kinda problematic when people come for campus tours and see 18 foot posters of dead babies... well... "WELCOME TO UT KIDS!!!" Isn't always the message they get... -_-; Anyway, the week after, they had a Christianity festival/forum thingy out in the same space. They also had "free speak" boards but with prompts on them. It was interesting. They had plenty of boards with topics ranging from "How can we pray for you?" to "What I hate about Christians..." Yay for UT being all college-y and demonstration/free opinion-y.

On to something TOTALLY different! I went back to Houston this weekend (courtesy of the bus system) and I went to Fuddrucker's for the first time. I had a 1/2 pound OSTRICH burger. Yes friends, you heard me, OSTRICH. The big stupid looking bird thing that sticks it head in a hole in the ground all the time. It was actually really good. Tasted just like beef and it was 97% fat free. Mmmmm... gi-nourmous bird thing. I also ordered an Oreo Milkshake. So they made one for me and gave me the extra. I could have had a total of three milkshakes that night if I wanted. They made SO much. Anyway, it was fun, and I left fuller than I'd been in a LONG time. So yay. The next day, I went to see the UIL competition. Austin advanced! w00t! The other schools did really well too. In the end, Bush ended up advancing with us and it was cool, because you had Mrs. Kurzym and Mr. Manley up there together. Hehehehe. Anyway, The Mariner was really good and I was really impressed with some of the performances that some of the newer actors churned out. Willowridge did really well too, in their version of "A Raisin in the Sun." Anywaaaaaaay, afterwards some of us went to IHOP. Which was fun and crazy and there ended up being some pretty heated debates over certain topics that I don't think I should mention... anywho, it was fun. =) And that's all for now kiddies! I need sleep. Night night. No no, they can't take that away from me...

P.S. Not that I want to brag or anything but

KATIE HAS A BRAND SPANKIN' NEW BABY BLUE IPOD!!

I mean, not that I'm bragging or anything. (nyah) =P

Mood: Relaxed/Chipper =)
Music: Vienna Teng - Green Island Lullaby

So, my blog decided to go on hiatus without telling me... For those of you who have tried to check my blog over this past week, you may have noticed that it just kinda refused to show up... Why? Um. I'm not sure. How did I fix it? I copy and pasted my code over again... so I don't know what happened. I guess it was just being fussy. Harrumph. ANYWAY, on with the post...

So spring break has been absolutely wonderful/relaxing/productive (in the job applying sense, not in the homework sense ^ ^;;). I'm going to try to keep this entry as short as possible, while going over the whole week's main events... it's gonna be kinda sketchy (as in "simple," not as in "shady"...) at points. Now let's seeeee...
On Saturday I went to Starbucks with Ashley and then she dragged me into Ulta while I was on the phone. So she played with make up and ended up putting some on me while some store worker guy kept on hanging around us and giving us the evil eye. In the end, we snuck out while he was cleaning one of the counters, so HA! Anyway, afterwards we went to Friday's and the meal was delicioso. I also had an Oreo Madness thing. Meh. It was alright... Nothing compared to the great and almighty Brownie Obsession. I should've gotten one of those... *pout* Anyway, after that, we went back to her house and I helped her clean. I did the dishes. Man, talk about going Stepford. Anyway, after I went through her room putting things in little organized clutters I decided it was time for me to take my leave. So I did. Huzzah.
Skip over to Tuesday when I had lunch with Katrina and Roshni and then went job hunting with Roshni. Ngh. Lots of applications. Lots of paper work. Poop.
On Wednesday, I went around returning the applications with Christine at my side. Yay for running around First Colony... Yay for hanging out with Christine again... Yay for getting applications over and done with.
On Thursday, Dad, Cindy, and I had lunch together at this Cajun place. It was yummy in my tummy with the crawfish etouffee and gumbo and just yummyness. Afterwards, we went to look at the RAV4 at a Toyota Dealership. I don't like going to car dealerships... I dunno, even though our salesperson wasn't sleazy, I still get that kind of vibe from the place in general (his manager was a definite sleazebag though, with the whole "Ya know, today's a good day to buy. What do you think? Buy? We can cut you a deal... I'm sure.") Blargh.
On Friday, I had lunch with Trish at Cafe Express. That was actually only the third time I've been there, but it was good. Trish ordered a hot chocolate and a cup of soup. Her hot chocolate turned out to be twice the size of her soup. -_-; Craziness. Afterwards, we went to her house and I got to meet her new puppy. I came home smelling like doggy breath. At first she was shy, but then the next thing I know, she's plopped herself on my lap, licking my face. She was cute though. =) After I came home, I washed my face and then got in some much needed work out time (I had been putting it off all week... hehehehe... whoops). After I came home all grody from my work out, dad took me and Cindy to Souper Salad in our NEW RAV4 (yep, mom and dad went and got it that day at a different dealership). That was my first time at Souper Salad, and it wasn't bad (I personally think that Sweet Tomato's better, because it has more selection, but this was good too).
On to Saturday! I had lunch/Chinatown Adventure II with Jared. We ate at Lollicup then drove to Tapioca House to get some bubble tea (cuz I think it's better there) but after I spent forever and an age getting a parking spot, we decided to go to Hong Kong Mall and wander around there before we got milk tea (I had to bring some home for Cindy, and we didn't want it to get all diluted and gross, which it did anyway though... -_-; Sorry Cindy!) Anyway, Jared ended up buying more stuff there than I ever have by myself (which isn't saying much, cuz we usually do our shopping at Welcome Food Mart anyway). After that, we once again made our way to Tap House and this time parking was easier (thank GAWD), and we had milk tea (Mmmm... lavender milk tea) and I tried to teach Jared the basics of Chinese (Four accents! The first one makes it book, the fourth one makes it tree, got it?) Fun stuff.

And now for the random closing thought... If you've been reading the translated Ranma 1/2 mangas done by the New Ranma Project people and you haven't been reading all the fine print, then do so on book 34, pg. 22, the first cell. You won't regret it. Heh heh... Anyway, that's all for now. Goodnight all!

Mood: Not too shabby...
Music: Blue Man Group feat. Dave Matthews - Sing Along

If I sing a song will you sing along? So um, ok, I know I can be picky about my music choice and stuff, but even THIS is weirding me out. So I always thought that the Blue Man Group was pretty cool/funny as a show group and all, but I never really thought that I'd SERIOUSLY like their music. I kinda want to get their CD... -_-; They have some pretty cool shiznit on their second CD. Some of the ones that I really like are "Sing Along," which features Dave Matthews and "The Current" which features Gavin Rossdale from Bush (and I thought he had disappeared off the face of the earth or something...) You can find the video for "Sing Along" here and the video for "The Current" here. It's good stuff man. Anyway time for a nap and then class. Bye bye.

P.S. You may have noticed that I've "cleaned the blog slate" to put it one way. If you think you've missed some entries, never fear, the ARCHIVE is here! Or rather, in the side bar. Feel free to browse any previous entries you may have missed.

Just laugh it off! It's so easy! Just open your mouth and go:

And then you realize you're the only one laughing...

Aha, ha, ha, um... ahem... -_-;

Try laughing THAT off...
