I just recieved the most crushing lecture about... well... me.
"You don't have time for all this theatre stuff, look at your grades, look at your responsibilities. You need to learn to grow up. Getting into a good college is one thing, surviving in a good college is another. I don't think you'll be able to do it. You have a lot of bad habits now. I've been trying not to watch, but you just keep slipping. You should clean your room more. You should plan more and get your priorities straight. You don't remember important stuff, but you always remember stuff like going somewhere with your friends. You're always procrastinating, Cindy plans ahead. You don't know how to organize your time or yourself..."
Of course, all that was said in more detail and elaboration... afterwards, I just stood there waiting for the next set of criticisms. When none came, I went upstairs and laid on my bed for fifteen minutes. After a while I grew sleepy and all the problems started to go away...
Everything goes away when you sleep.
Sleeping forever, that would be nice...

AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
11 Nominations!!
ELEVEN!!!
Fiddler on the Roof got ELEVEN nominations out of FIFTEEN for the Tommy Tune Awards!!! We were hoping for AT LEAST one and we get ELEVEN! We're nominated for Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Musical Direction, Best Orchestra, Best Leading Actor (Cesar Osario II - Tevye), Best Leading Actress (Amanda Walker - Golde), Best Supporting Actor (Austin Alexander - Lazar Wolf), Best Supporting Actress (Stephanie Morris - Yente), Best Scenic Design, Best Lighting Design, and Best Crew & Technical Execution!! I'm particularly proud of that last category!! =D Man, it's like Lord of the Rings... insanity, absolute insanity!
Anyway, tickets are $20 (I know, they're pricey, but EVERYONE has to pay, even performers) and it's going to be at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts on May 3rd. You can call the box office at 713-558-8887 (ext. 3824) and it IS a black tie occasion, so plan to dress formally if you want to come. =D =D =D
Now onto something completey different... Yesterday, I walk out of the theatre hall to see what everyone else is doing, and I see THE ICE CREAM MAN driving through the parking lot with his music on. Well, we did what any NORMAL *ahem* person would do. We ran after him and bought some ice cream. It was great. I got that Mario Pop where he has a gumball nose.
=D It made me happy. I think he only showed up because of the Student vs Faculty Softball Game, because I didn't see him after school today. Oh well. It was GREAT. I was IMMENSELY amused.

What you really are, my dear fellow, is a Bumbarist... Austin Theatre totally rocked UIL with The Importance of Being Earnest! We're advancing to District! Congratulations to Chris and Amanda on making honorable mention all-star cast, Amy and Stephanie for making all-star cast, and Jared for getting BEST ACTOR!
Let's see... Importance of Being Earnest count: 4
Soon to be 5! Come support Austin Theatre at District Competition this Saturday!
Where? Marshall Highschool
When? The competition starts at 4:00, but Austin doesn't perform until 6:00 (you still have to get there early because they DO close doors!)
At zone competition, they charged us $1 for admission, I dunno if they're gonna raise prices for district or not. It's up to Marshall, so bring some cash (it won't be a lot, promise).
Tomorrow we get to know the results for the Tommy Tune Award nominations! I'm excited! I'm expecting Fiddler to get nominated for SOMETHING, because quite frankly, our show ROCKED! Still shouldn't get my hopes up though, just in case we DON'T get nominated... Does the fact that they're announcing this stuff on April Fool's Day bother anyone else? "HEY! YOU GUYS WON ALL THE AWARDS! Heh heh, juuuuuuust kidding!" -_-;

Hokay... sooo... Finally back to REAL blogs instead of just copying and pasting something. Lessee... Let's start on the Friday of Spring Break shall we? Friday was partially good and partially bad. I took a bio test which I'm pretty sure I did pretty badly on. So yay for that. -_-; but AFTER that I had A lunch because we did BLINDFOLD DAY in Psych! YAY! Stacy went first... She went to Mrs. Bentley's class, tried to visit Mr. Wilson (he was at lunch), got harrassed by John, and then got harrassed and dragged into Mrs. Duke's room by Katrina, Steph, Ray, and Will. Oh yeah, and at random intervals within this time I would try to make her run (which IS really hard to do blindfolded, mind you). After that, it was my turn. Yay. I got smacked in the the head by some "theatre person with a buzzcut" (whose identity I have yet to figure out), some other random person stuck their hand in my face, and another random person purposely shoved the "Warning, wet floor" sign in my path. I love people at our school don't you? (grrr...) Anyway, on our way to the theatre hall I climbed up on a bench and got down with the help of one Mr. Jared Norby (At least SOMEONE in our school doesn't find it funny to mess with blindfolded people). Once actually IN the theatre hall, I popped my head in the scene shop, said hi, then got harrassed by Mike McMonagle and almost ran into Meaghan. After that, Stacy and I decided it was best to head back to class, and we showed up late, despite my attempts to go faster (dude, it's hard to go fast when you're blindfolded. It creeps you out). Anyway, we finished up Psych class and stuff. Yay. Then I went to English, freaking out about Crime and Punishment, only to be told that we get to go see "Poetry Alive!" That was interesting. They performed a lot of poems and it was a LOT better than discussing Crime and Punishment, so I didn't complain. Afterwards, we went to Calculus... whee... -_-; Fastforward to after school. I went to the theatre hall to find all the UIL people in constume (or getting there) ready to go to clinic. They had food. They left the food for Ella, Ashley and I to clean up. Whhhheeeeeee... Later that night, the three of us went to Starbucks and then to Micheals to shop for Ashley's *TOP SECRET SOMETHING*. LOTS of money spent. -_-; Yay.
Fast forward to next night, Trish, Me, and Colin went iceskating and then to Barnes and Nobles and then to IHOP. Met Sarah and Andy Jones there. Wheee.
Fastforward a bit more. Corpus Christi/SOUTH PADRE ISLAND! Nice beach, lots of jelly fish, cold water, the Lexington. WINDSURFING. Or trying to. We got lessons at this Laguna. It was kinda fun, but I think I spent more time wading around than actually windsurfing.
Came home. GOT REALLY SICK THE NEXT DAY. Fever and throwing up. Not cool. -_-; Next day spent kinda recovering/reading Crime and Punishment. Day AFTER that, I got a haircut from Mingli. Nice haircut. Layers and bangs. Yay. Went to dinner with family friends at some Mediterranean restaurant. Now to today. I'm ALIVE, and fully recovered (as much as I can tell)... but I still have lotsa homework. Doh. Better do that...
