Mood: anything but wanting to do my homework... -_-;
Music:Vienna Teng - Tower

Reach out but hold back... I need some Vienna Teng sheet music. It's some good shiznit. Anyway, this post is brought to you by RTF 305, also known as the "Are you SURE you want to do RTF?" class...
So I'm required to go to these screenings every Wed. evening for my RTF (Radio-Television-Film) class where we would watch a film that pertained to the lecture somehow. Most recently I've started to notice a trend in the films that we've been watching...

Week 1: "Modern Times," Main idea? Technology = evil.
Week 2: A Collection of news clips to practice "critical reading" of TV shows, Main idea? Read all media forms with a critical and objective eye so that you can learn to spot evil.
Week 3: "The Corporation," Main idea? Businesses = evil.
Week 4: "All the President's Men," Main idea? Government = conspiracy = evil.
Week 5: "Money for Nothing: Behind the Bu$ine$$ of Pop Mu$ic," Main idea? Mainstream music = evil
Week 6: "Mickey Mouse Monopoly," Main idea? Disney = evil

Does anyone else notice a trend? And yes, ladies and gents, this last film that I watched was about how "Disney is a terrible corporation that markets on the innocence of children" among other things... We're also going to watch Bowling for Columbine at one point in this semester. That's a Micheal Moore film. That's THE Micheal Moore film... and so the trend continues...

Week ?: "Bowling for Columbine" "THE Micheal Moore Film," Main idea? EVERYTHING = evil

*disclaimer* Now given, I've seen many of his films. I saw Farenheit 9/11 AND Bowling for Columbine and they're both good films, they're just not every good documentaries... They're well done, but too OVERLY and CRAZILY biased. Anyway, so that's all for the Katie Times Post... thanks for tuning in, and remember, EVERYTHING IS EVIL!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!

Mood: Groggy-ish...
Music: Happy Birthday as sung by Baby Dale's family =) He turns one today.

Yay for post nap grogginess... -_-; So I just had two (or was it three? I dunno, they run together) dreams that were very charged by negative emotions... Ngh. So the first one was just odd and disturbing. There was a guy who was my father (but given, it wasn't my real dad, he was one of those crazy dream dads) and he was out on some mission of some sort. The villagers found him out, or something and were like "We don't need you here anymore" and so they killed him by shooting him multiple times with this weird gun thing that shoots out these spinning arrow bundles of three that split apart after they're shot out. So one of them missed and split apart mid-air and the three arrows shot out in different directions. The dream just kinda flashed to three different families(?) who were all in a bad situation, and they would just suddenly see this streak of light in the night sky and think that it was a shooting star. So in each family, there were always two children who saw it and the youngest would always be like "make a wish..." to the older child. The older would then wish for something that would help their family's bad situation out. These kids really believed that this wish would help, but you knew that the streak of light in the sky was one of the arrows and that nothing good was going to come from their wishes. In fact, you were sure that something bad was going to happen to all of them.
The dream just kind of changed my dorm hallway. I was walking towards the hall entrance from my room, when someone very official looking came down the hall towards our room. He asked me if I lived in room 9** (room number ommitted cuz I'm paranoid like that), and I told him that I did. He proceeded to tell me that my roomate and I were under arrest, but he didn't arrest me. He just continued to walk towards our room. When he told me that, I was like "well that's bad..." and I just kinda walked out of the building... The dream then flashed to a hospital where I was looking at a vase of flowers. It had three different kinds, one kind was a light purple, another was a light but faded pink, and the third was also a pastel shade of purple. As I was looking at the vase in the hospital, someone told me that the three different flowers stood for three different emotions. Anger, depression, and something else, I can't remember, either way it wasn't good... Then something happened in the lobby that had to do with my mom. Either she was sick, or someone in our family was sick, and she was trying to tell me about it and she was trying to get to me, but the government didn't want her to talk to me for some reason. They were holding her back and away from me. At this point I woke up, but then I dosed back to sleep to the sounds of our neighbors SCREAMING at each other AGAIN (they do it so much, it just kind of seems like that's how they talk...) either way, my next dream involved them yelling at each other. Katrina and I decided to listen to something pretty loudly and when we turned it down, they pounded on the wall. This made me REALLY, unreasonably, FURIOUS for some reason (like, HULK SMASH!! angry), and so I yelled "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!" as loud as I could at their wall... and I remember thinking "um, I just picked a fight with the girls next door, didn't I?" Then I woke up to them still screaming and mine not having done that.

So um, those were my dreams... all that happened in a span of 2 hours or so. After I woke up, I realized that the dominant moods to those dreams corresponded to the flowers in the vase... but dreams fade fast, so I forgot the last flower... darn it. Meh well. Disturbed now? Yea verily. -_-; Katie feels the need for endorphins, so you know what that means, right? GYM TIME!! Ta~

Mood: Unmotivated... (gr for homework)
Music: FIR - Lydia

Por los momentos difíciles, ya entendí que la flor más bella sería siempre para mi... So I've started listening to Fobby music again, and guess what? I LIKE IT!! I pulled out my FIR CD that I got this summer in Taiwan, and I'm really rockin' out to some of the stuff on it. The little thingy of Spanish at the beginning of this blog is part of the intro to their song "Lydia." Wait, that's in Spanish, you're saying they had it in a Chinese song?! Yeah, weird isn't it? But it's cool and it works so nyah.

So I was in Chemistry the other day, and it was the same old boring stuff... until the prof says something like this...
Prof: And here we have N2O, Nitrous Oxide, also known as Laughing Gas... yeah, good stuff...
*giggles from the class*
Prof: Not many of my students know this but I worked in the Dentistry field before I became a professor. I assistant to a dentist in New York for a while. Everyday before we closed shop we would use the Nitrous Oxide and just sit on the floor and giggle, but that was before we realized that it was really expensive... so we changed it to Fridays only...
Some profs really surprise you at times. I mean, this was the prof who told us that she liked the smell of naphthalene (the main component in moth balls)... Meh well.

Anyway, I get IHOP tonight and we're leaving soon, so I'm gonna leave this post like this... I SHALL RETUUUuuuuurn... Muahahahaha.

Lydia, happiness isn't far away
Open your windows, and make a wish

You will feel love, feel hate, feel forgiveness
Life will not always be filled with heartache

He left, but can't take away your heaven
After the wind dries, tears of rainbow light will fall
He left, so you can leave your dreams behind
There must be a place to wait for love to take flight

Mood: Yay-ish!
Music: Phantom Planet - Nobody's Fault

"How ya doin' Alex?"
"Everything is okay, everything is fine..."
(it's a reference to a Phantom Planet song for those of you who are just staring at the quote all 'huh?' like...) Katie might get a decent amount of sleep tonight! w00t! Yay for sleep. And now for something completely different...

So today, I was feeling really hungry after RTF discussion. Like, REALLY hungry. Like, hungry like a pregnant woman, hungry. And as I walked to JCL, I realized that we have a severe shortage of tasty/healthy foods there, cuz apparently I was also having cravings like a pregnant woman as well (but I'm not pregnant... really...) Anyway, I wanted something with a bit more flavor than veggies or chicken/tuna salad (disclaimer: by this comment, I mean no offense to vegetarians, vegetables, chickens, tuna, or people who like tuna or chicken salad) So I was wandering around JCL all "gr" and "argh" like until I saw it. SUSHI... mmm... sushi. So I bought some, took it back to my room, and ended up setting my brain on fire. Oh, the joys of wasabi. And the sushi wasn't even all the good. I mean, it was good-ish cuz I was hungry, but it wasn't GOOD good. Moral of the story? Don't eat your sushi too fast, when it's got globs of wasabi on it. And once again for something completely different...

So I've told my sister and Roshni that "I <3 them" and the response I got back from them?
Roshni: "Awwww, I less than three you too!"
Cindy: "THAT'S RIGHT!! YOU'RE LESS THAN 3!!! BIATCH!!"
Tee hee... You guys are great. =) (well, Cindy in a more passionately violent way... you djooork) And, one more time everybody, "and now for something completely different..."

So I have been getting some comments about my new work out routine, some of which include...

Krupa: "You're trying to lose weight? Why?!
Me: "Cuz I wanna look pretty?"
Krupa: "But you're already pretty!"
Krupa makes me smile. =)

Jared: "Katie you're beautiful! You don't need to lose any weight!"
Me: "Awww..."
Jared: "In fact, you should get even bigger so that there would be more of you to love!"
Me: "Ummmm... I'll have to pass on that last one..."
Jared: "Are you drinking 1% because you think you're fat? Cuz you're not. You could be drinking whole milk, you know..."
Jared makes me smile. =) (and extra points for the Napoleon Dynamite quote!)

Anyway, if I'm gonna actually get that sleep that I wanted, I should do that now. So bye bye for now. =)

Mood: Lazy
Music: De-lovely Soundtrack - Night and Day

This is Katie procrastinating... Does she have an exam tomorrow? Yes. Is she studying for it? If by studying, you mean blogging about it? Then sure! -_-;
"How was school?"
"The worst day of my life, what do you think? GOSH!"
I don't like my Wednesdays, so I'm taking my break now before I start studying again. Oky doky, so recap... Valentine's Day came and went... I got a rose (courtesy of Will), a mini-valentine (courtesy of Katrina), a valentine lollipop (also from Katrina) and some chocolates (indirectly from Jorge cuz of an activity our RA set up). My chocolates came in a box that had a demented looking train on it that said "Choo Choo Choose Me!" So the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw that was the Simpson's episode where Lisa gives Ralph that "I Choo Choo Choose You!" card. I was amused. Yea verily. Huzzah...

Another note, my body hates me for some reason. I don't know why. I don't know if it's the lack of sleep, or what, but I've been feeling like crap and being clumsier than ever. My legs look like I've been beaten like a (as some of my friends would put it) "red headed step child" by my non-existent evil step mother. Ngh. Oh yeah, and if you mix this new found clumsiness with my missing theatre work, you apparently have a recipe for disaster. Today, I was walking out of my statistics class when I saw a pick up truck with a rack of hanging lights (fernels, to be exact). So, due to my being a nerd and being distracted by the mass of lights, I ended up tripping on the cobblestone sidewalk. Ouch. Now my knees are scraped/banged up more than they were before and my left elbow was hit pretty hard too. On a lighter note, I realized that there ARE indeed some nice people on campus, when some guy was like "Whoa, are you alright?" and picked up my textbook for me. So yay for nice people, boo for pain. Anyway, I REALLY should study, so I guess I will... Gosh! Tina you fat lard, come get some DINNER!!

Mood: Not too shabby...
Music: Cabaret - I Don't Care Much

MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It's BAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaack... Yes Ladies and Gentleman, the blog is, indeed, back. For how long you may ask? Not sure. For however long I want, so HA! Some of you older readers may notice that I've returned to the Butterflies in My Stomach Template. I just realized that I REALLY liked this template, and only opted for the Unexpected Liberation template cuz it was goofier. ANYWAY enough with the intro, on with the bloggage...

So it's the night before Valentine's Day...

Bah, humbug.

Just like it says in my profile. Who's up for watching some of the most unromantic movies I've got (which also happen to be my favorites... yay for Guy Richie!!) and eating lots of chocolate? Or well, scratch that, I might just go work out again... and hurt myself... again. -_-; Either way it will be healthier than chowing down on chocolate... unless it's dark chocolate... mmmm dark chocolate.

Anyway, while we're on the subject of nice things like chocolate, let's remind the audience of the other things Katie wants that are nice. Some of you may have seen this before, but I still hold that it's nice and necessary to mention.

Look how preeeeetty... Anyway, that's all the bloggage for tonight. Now it is time for me to go back to working on that cursed thing known as... the physics lab *insert dramatic DUN DUN DUUUUUUN music here* So I leave you with this quote from The Music Man (which was really great guys):

You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays. I don't know about you, but I'd like to make today worth remembering.

Ta ta, all.

Just laugh it off! It's so easy! Just open your mouth and go:
HA HA HA!

And then you realize you're the only one laughing...

Aha, ha, ha, um... ahem... -_-;

Try laughing THAT off...
