Sun 11/26 AM - 70 minutes very easy in Area 51. Much of it off the beaten path, taking on an exploratory vibe. Planning on going a bit further, and then going again in the evening, but it wasn't happening. Cumulative effect of the past few days of course. Hip and adductors gummed up from last night as well.

Sat 11/25 - AM 75 minutes, Walden woods. Gradually eased into it, got going at a decent enough clip for this time of day, then pooped out and slowed up towards the end after slipping on the leaves a bit too much. Minor stiffness in back and hip. PM 45 minutes, incl. 2x3200 cutdowns (6:00, 5:50/5:40,5:30) with 40 seconds rest. The plan was to do the whole thing continuously but a wardrobe malfunction forced a stop to secure the drawstring of my pants. Doing the whole thing w/o break could have been problematic as the pace required more effort than I would have liked. Finished more wiped out than exprected. Combination of lack of fitness and overall fatigue from the recent high training load. Feeling more tightness in back and above ilium after the run but manageable.

Fri 11/24 - AM 75 minutes, Area 51. Still some soreness but felt better than yesterday. Back has developed some adhesions over the past few days but it's manageable for the time being. PM 50 minutes, Longfellow loop. Feeling as spry as any time in the past two weeks, all that kept the pace from dropping significantly was the recent high volume. Got in 8 pickups on the way in which felt good.

Thu 11/23 - AM 75 minutes, Area 51. Right leg tightened up some, to be expected I suppose. Felt okay otherwise. Hammie took the brunt of it. PM 5m in 38 minutes on the treadmill. Pounding rain forced me indoors. Started at 6.5 and ended up at 9 mph. Given the lingering soreness in the morning, legs felt decent throughout.

Wed 11/22 - PM 65 minutes, incl. 4 trips bounding up the hill on White Pond Road with 4 strides on the way back each trip. Looking to reintegrate the hil springing and break up the monotony of simply running every day. Some tightness in right hip at first, but loosened up over time. Warmer today than yesterday.

Tue 11/21 - PM 80 minutes, Track road to Area 51. Stumbling and fumbling a bit at first on Track road, which is more rutted than I had remembered. Unsure footing led to soreness in both hip flexors, esp. psoas. Left Area 51 at Old Marlboro road to get on smooth pavement for the last 20 minutes. Made a conscious effort to pick up the pace for this last bit, finished good and tired.

Mon 11/20 - PM 65 minutes, River St to Stow road, back via White Pond and Summerhill. Moving at a quicker pace most of the way, esp. towards the end. Right TFL twinging, but other than that the hip area felt decent. Chilly evening.
