Sun 3/26 - PM just under 2 hours, Track Road to Area 51 with a trip into the south side trails. Stopped many times for various reasons the first 90 minutes, in no particular rush and taking it easy. Brought the pace down a bit more towards the end, and capped things off with six strides on the way home. Finished feeling quite tired as a result. Legs didn't feel that great, some right knee stiffness from yesterday's workout in flats. Blustery overcast continues, but warmer temps.

Sat 3/25 - AM Lincoln long tempo, 6.7 mile loop plus 6 bonus minutes on rt. 117. Total of just under 8 miles in just under 44 minutes. Splits of 5:47, 5:42, 5:29, 5:43, 58 seconds to the top of the hill, 5:29, 3:17, 5:24, then the last 6 minutes. Thankfully not feeling as flat as I was last night. Still not feeling super-great, the first mile was slooow but didn't feel that way, it took a while to get going. Given the way things have been going of late, a step in the right direction nonetheless. Conditions a slight improvement over previous recent workouts on this course, overcast with a raw breeze but not as strong a wind today.

Fri 3/24 - AM 30 minutes, Brook Path to Washington St. Legs a bit sore from yesterday's longer run. Breeze has returned, and brought overcast conditions along. PM 30 minute slog on Maynard roads. Surprisingly flat, cut the run short as a result. Unexpeccted Friday tiredness. The morning run felt better. Right adductor coming along, but still less than 100%.

Thurs 3/23 - PM 95 minutes in Lincoln woods. Taking a risk going back there with the right leg in the condition it's been but oveall it didn't give me much trouble, Started very slowly to be on the safe side, gradually got into it. By the last 20 minutes I was able to move much more fluidly and pick up the pace quite a bit. An evening of gorgeous and unexpected stillness, an odd feeling not to be raked by the wind with every step.

Wed 3/22 - AM 30 minutes very easy, Abbott Road to Wellesley Ave. Still tired, obviously, but at least I got more than six hours of sleep last night. Right adductor still tight but not lifting my leg enough to bother it. PM 65 minutes, Area 51. As slow as the morning run for the most part. Low on energy, so shuffled along with no undue effort. Right hip felt like garbage sitting all day at work, but not as bad during the run. More seasonable weather conditions, the hideous strafing wind has calmed down some.

Tue 3/21 - PM RLTAC 4x500 in 90 seconds with 90 seconds recovery. Supposed to to two sets of 6 but the familiar death march feeling set in early on. The malaise continues, after sleeping in over the weekend the last two nights I haven't gotten nearly enough rest. In addition, right adductor locked up during the first repeat and didn't get any better after that. Quite sore afterwards, a real bummer. Definitely strained it, going back a couple of weeks to fumbling around in the dark on Track Road I think. Frustrating to say the least, after not having bothered me since November.

Mon 3/20 - AM 25 minutes, Brook Path to Wash. Street. Back to clear skies, back to wind. Some sore spots in hip flexors from yesterday's long run. PM 50 minutes easy in Cambridge, Fresh Pond to Harvard Square and back skirting along the river. Gave up on the river quick because the wind was intolerable. Bitter and relentless. Legs continue to be sore from yesterday, but not as sore as I would have thought.
