Sun 2/26 - PM 70 minutes in Area 51. The drought ends, finally. Still not 100%, spent more time than I'd like coughing after finishing the run but I think it helped clear out the nasal passages as well. Slept in late this morning, then had breakfast and slept some more. Felt much better after that. Run was predictably slow, some tightness in adductors which happens after any kind of layoff. Not moving esp. fast, running in 3 inches of snow most of the way. Left hammie feeling a bit off, probably strained on the snow somewhere.
Thu-Sat 2/23-25 off off off. Unable to shake the persistent congestion and throat soreness. At least the cough became productive, but that's about it. Thought I was feeling better on both Thursday and Friday morning, but found out different Saturday morning when I woke up feeling like utter crap. Slept much of the morning Saturday, trying to put this thing away.
Wed 2/22 - off again. Woke up feeling unexpectedly terrible, throat sore, chest tight. I think I'm paying in spades for the decision to race over the weekend. Symptoms not indicative of strep, not that it matters. Giving it one more day to turn around before calling the doctor, for an appt. that likely won't take palce for weeks anyway.
Tue 2/21 - off again. Feeling better, but not quite all the way back and with all the sleeping during the day yesterday it of course made it harder to fall asleep last night. Still paying for choosing to go through with the race on Sunday. Tomorrow I should be ready to get back into some easy running again.

Mon 2/20 - off. Spent much of the day in bed trying to sleep the sickness away. Slept better overnight than the night before but that's not really saying much. This week will be light and low-key until I feel better.
