Sun 3/18 - PM 90 minutes, River Street to Stow Road, back via Summerhill and eventually Thompson Road. A positive effort after the unplanned two-day layoff succumbing to malaise. Necessary to restore some morale. Able to maintain focus through some tightness in both legs, felt generally stiff and a bit awkward for most of the way. Made a conscious effort to leave something in the tank for the last 15 minutes. Blustery wind a constant companion today, as expected the roads that were clear were the more heavily trafficked ones. Side streets still a mess.

Sat 3/17 - off, again. Looking all over for my lost mojo. Spent three hours dealing with the aftermath of yesterday's storm vis a vis clearing the driveway. After a nap, took a drive of Levittown and Longfellow Loop and found the roads in atrocious condition. That killed any motivation I might have had, given that once again the fucking treadmill was the only option. Really dragging right now.

Fri 3/16 - off. Driving nor'easter all day combined with a distinct lack of motivation. Not feeling it at all.

Thu 3/15 - PM 60+ minutes, Longfellow loop. Still feeling flat and tired, legs dinged up more than expected from slipping on the ice yesterday. The blahs continue. I thought I'd feel better today than I did. Temps about 25 degrees cooler today than yesterday, forecast for the next couple of days is exceedingly grim for outdoor activities.

Wed 3/14 - PM 70 minutes in Area 51. Most of it at the only speed possible, that being very slow. 3 AM wakeup and a throbbing left psoas was at least partly to blame. Took two hours to fall back asleep (kind of), enormously frustrating. Dragging all day at work as a result. Psoas tightness went away by midmorning of course. As expected, there was some serious mud on unpaved portions of the patrol road, with a bit more ice than I had expected. Some slipping but just taking it easy anyway.

Tue 3/13 - PM 6x 1 minute up the Comm Ave hill. Supposed to do 12, probably should have done none. Drag-ass from the word go today, unexpectedly flat and tired. Had nothing, a bummer. Scratch the surface and the exhaustion is still right there. With warmup and cooldown about 50 minutes total.

Mon 3/12 - PM 75+ minutes, River Street to Mt. Hope to White Pond and back bia Summerhill and Main Street. 5 strides on the way in. For a run that was only a few minutes shorter than yesterday's, felt a lot better today. Could be the evening start vs. early afternoon, bouncing back from Saturday, whatever. Nice to be able to do strides at the end. Right leg not nearly as wound up as it got yesterday.
