Sun 1/14 - AM just under 60 minutes, Area 51. Coming down off manic mountain somewhat, still not feeling entirely right. Loosened up somewhat towards the end, but kept the pace easy anyway. Dank chill with misty drizzle. Planned PM run went by the boards, just not feeling it.

Sat 1/13 - AM 75+ minutes, WHS to RLTAC. No better way to celebrate last night's crapfest than with a run down route 9 at 7:15 in the morning. Right hip and hammie somewhat locked up at first but loosened up with time. Overall felt okay, dragging a bit at times. Pulse elevated all day afterwards, like it was yesterday and most of the rest of the week.

Fri 1/12 - PM RLTAC 45 minute warmup, then a failed attempt at 1600/1200/800/400. 1600 4:54 (2:26, 2:28). Bailed out after first lap of the 1200 as it was already quite evident that the workout was going down the fucking toilet. Whatever energy I might have had was used up on the fool's errand of a warmup, to and from the Garden. Extremely frustrating, I was looking forward to running that last quarter for days now. No energy after four days of flying without the plane. I knew I was capable of doing this at 72/71/70/65 pace but in the current sleep-starved state it doesn't really matter. Cooldown was 15+ minute crawl, fading fast.

Thu 1/11 - PM 30 minutes in the Fens. Legs feeling better after the day off. later PM 45 minutes, Jamaica Pond to Perkins. Started slowly, able to get five strides in at the end. Moving relatively well overall today.

Wed 1/10 - off. Combination of errand hell and bone-tired exhaustion. In no mood for it today.

Tue 1/9 - PM 45 minutes very easy, Levittown to Summerhill. Right hammie and TFL very stiff and sore, which left me hobbling along at first. Felt a bit better following some compressions after the run, but the area is still tight.

Mon 1/8 - PM RLTAC 5x1600, 2.5R. All around 5:10. Stayed up too late last night, for no good reason, and it affected the workout noticeably. That, and running over 3 hours in the previous 2 days. Tired in the late afternoon, flat on the warmup, hamstring twinging while doing drills. Able to get through the session, although the last one was looking iffy for a time. Without the fatigue, could have hit faster numbers with relative ease. Taking it easy between now and Friday, we'll see how that goes.
