Sun 1/7 - AM 80+ minutes very easy, Area 51. Took a meandering route with various lengthy stops. Cooler than yesterday but still well above average, a nice day to be outside. Right hammie feeling stuck but responded to some compressions after the run.
Sat 1/6 - AM 75+ minutes, WHS to RLTAC. Right TFL tight and sore from the get-go, hammie eventually dragged into it as well. Stride felt awkward as a result. Unnaturally warm weather of recent weeks has reached its zenith today. PM 45 minute laundry run. Very easy and relaxed. Wind is howling but it's just not the same when it's 60 degrees.
Fri 1/5 - PM RLTAC 4x(600, 400), 1.5R after each 600 and 3R after each 400. 600s were all arond 1:43, first three 400s @67, last one 64.7. Another long day, made it through the workout but not without some trepidation beforehand on account of feeling tired. Running at a faster pace took some getting used to, legs a bit rubbery on a few of the 400s. Still able to stay relaxed, last set went well. Last 2 sets run in spikes.
Thu 1/4 - PM 30 minutes very easy in the Fens. Unnaturally warm for this time of year. later PM 45 minutes, around Jamaica Pond and back via Perkins to Columbus Ave. Same loop as two Thursdays ago, another meet day double. Legs are feeling better than yesterday.
Wed 1/3 - PM 40 minutes, started very easy, moving a bit better the last 15 minutes but overall quite slow. Exhausted by the end of the day after last night's workout and inevitable late bedtime. No end in sight to the unusually mild weather.
Tue 1/2 - PM RLTAC 3x1600 4.5R @4:58-9, 4x300 1.5R 50-51, last one 49.6. Once again, feeling flat on a workout day which was a bummer. As per usual lack of rest is the culprit, felt fine all day and then crashed at precisely the wrong time. That being the case, able to get through it well enough, 1600s were even-paced. 300s were under control, waited until last 100 to open up the stride a bit. Very slow on the cooldown, feeling the overall effort.

Mon 1/1 - PM 60+ minutes incl. 4x springing up Thompson road hill. Right leg feeling as good as it has felt in the past few months, although things got a little dicey the last time up the hill. Moving fairly well but still feeling somewhat tired. Cold and rainy much of the day, subsided only slightly for the evening's trip outside. Back to the grind tomorrow.
