Sun 3/4 - AM 50 minutes easy, Area 51. Still feeling like crap, and the poor footing and traction on the trails wasn't helping one bit. A mistake to even try them in hindsight. Unable to lift legs after 20 minutes of slogging on the snowpack. AM pulse hasn't been especially elevated of late, a few beats above normal. Makes the last two days difficult to pin down.
Sat 3/3 - AM 25 minutes warmup in Lincoln for a tempo that never happened. Feeling stupendously tired and flat, surprisingly so. No land speed records today. At something of a loss to understand the acute fatigue, not feeling spectacular at any point the past week but not like this to be sure.
Fri 3/2 - PM 70 minutes, Longfellow loop and Mossman. Started in a Fried-ay fog after a traffic nightmare commute home thanks to street flooding. The day's rains left puddles but thankfully no slush or ice to slip on. Eventually came around to feeling a bit better but still too tired for strides, a recurring theme this week. Right hammie somewhat gummed up.
Thu 3/1 - PM 70 minutes, to Trader Joe's and back. Something of a land speed record for this particular round trip, used to doing it at a much more sedate pace. More stiff and sore than I would like, esp. in right IT band and left tib anterior. More crap weather on the horizon, but relatively comfortable conditions for now.
Wed 2/28 - PM just under 30 minutes, RLTAC to the Garden. A bit stiff still, but not in the same fog as yesterday. later PM 25 minutes, Garden to RLTAC. Moving pretty well, feeling much better than yesterday. The more humane wakeup time will have a salutary effect over time.
Tue 2/27 - PM 40 minutes very easy in Levittown. Another run cut back, this time by a third. Feeling very tired and flat, weight of exhaustion pressing down on my shoulders. Had a rough night sleep-wise with a 3:30 wakeup followed the by the requisite 2 hours of lying in bed awake before finally falling asleep again.

Mon 2/26 - PM RLTAC 6x1000, 1R. First five all within a second of 3:20, last one 3:22 which was a sure signal that it was time to stop. Effort was controlled, checked the time every 300m/60 seconds and hit all the time checks except the very last one. Shooting for 8, but 6 will have to do. The recent bout of exhaustion put a different spin on everything, I don't think I could have run faster paced stuff even with long recoveries. Definitely in a vulnerable state at the moment. Warmup/cooldown added up to around 45 minutes.
