Sun 9/3 - PM 70 minutes in Lincoln woods. Still feeling tired and flat, in fact more so than yesterday. In a bit of a funk and I think it's from the cumulative effect of the work week's training, and not sleeping enough during that time. Right TFL sticking as well. Crappy weather to match the mood of things, rainy remnants of the tropical storm passing through.
Sat 9/2 - AM 70 minutes easy laundry run, started in Area 51 followed by a short loop on Rockland Ave and Levittown. Tired from the week as a whole, kept it very low-key as a result. Also planning on doing an evening run that went by the boards as I got to late afternoon still feeling very tired and flat. Right low back continues to be stiff after the run, not so bad while running.
Fri 9/1 - PM 90+ minutes, Walden woods. Moving pretty well until the hour mark at which point I suddenly started wilting. Slowed the pace down and recovered somewhat for the last 10 minutes or so. Still, good and tired at the end. Right side tightness continues to linger but not bothering me to any substantial degree. Hurdle walkovers after the run seemed to help loosen things up. Stayed up far too late watching tennis last night, but it didn't affect me nearly as much as I thought it would today.
Thu 8/31 - PM 80+ minutes, to Trader Joe's and back. Took it very easy which was appropriate after yesterday's effort. Felt very relaxed, just wha tthe doctor ordered. Right lower back locked up pretty good as a result of favoring right hip, something that's been going on for a week or so but particularly noticeable after the run today. Spent some time working out the kinks, there were several. Warm and somewhat humid like yesterday.
Wed 8/30 - PM 70+ minutes mainly on the Longfellow loop, 30+ minute warmup, then the monofartlek followed by a very slow cooldown. Right hip, which was feeling well enough during the warmup, locked up bad on the very first pickup, such that I had to slow down and muddle through cursing all the while. Thankfully it loosened up after that, although I did have to alter my stride a bit to take some of the strain off that area. Other than that unwelcome issue, the workout went well, I was able to keep the recovery floats at a decent pace until hitting the 30 second pickups. Finished with a good spent feeling, this particular workout is good for that every time. Overcast moved out today, warmer and still humid. Waited until fairly late to get started as a result.
Tue 8/29 - PM 90 minutes easy, Pratt's Brook to Great Hill, back via railbed. Pace varied from very slow to slow and that was it except for five strides near the end. Definitely feeling every bit of yesterday's long effort with the unplanned substantial pickup in pace. Right TFL somewhat pinched and twinging, but it's been worse recently. Cool humid overcast conditions continued today, cooler even than the previous few days, very autumnal. Almost cool enough for long sleeves.

Mon 8/28 - PM 105 minutes in Walden woods. A bit more lively than usual thanks to a lighter Sunday than usual yesterday. Sustained, unplanned pickup in the pace from about 35 to 60 minutes to shake a knob running in the woods with headphones. The fool tried to follow me so I threw in a series of surges. Paid for it the last 30 minutes of the run, just puttering along by that point. Right hip still swollen after Saturday, somewhat sore and lower back still tighter than I'd like as a result of favoring right side. Hurdle walkovers after the run. Very cool and humid conditions, mist was descending as I finished up.
