My Musings
Sunday, March 31, 2002
I've 'inherited' my dad's motor cross boots, spent the morning cleaning and leather dressing them and the family BMW. Now I'm tanked on raspberry flavoured chocolate (yay) and getting organised to go over a friend's place to have a video overload. Gotta love public holidays!

Listening to: Anasthasia by Deep Forest
General musings: Well I didn't get the job :( Main reason being because I am unavailable one weekday and so am not flexible enough :P
>Sigh< I'll keep checking the classifieds and stuff I suppose. Probably should try to do some art to sell but the problem it I keep creating stuff I like too much and want to keep.
In other news I've transplanted two small plum trees into the garden and with fortune and love hopefully they will BOTH survive (One isn't looking too good) Check out Yerf and Elfwood for some recent examples, hopefully I'll be updating the M@W gallery pages again soon with more
My room is still a mess of stalagmites made of paper and books, gradually reducing in size then increasing again as I visit the library (Like both yesterday and today). This week's focus has been on medieval architecture trying to figure out how to set out the backgrounds for Gone Astray when the adventurers reach Precipita. Problem is I start reading the text while doing my sketches, and a lot of it is interesting, so progress is stilted @_@
A miniature rant: I am getting really annoyed with people who, in their cars, stop in the middle of a carpark or throughfare to wait for someone else to pull out of a parking place. It means little physically to me as I ride a pushbike and so can get around them, but I had to hiss in anger today at the sheer brainlessness of some bloke in a big car stopping right in the entrance to a car park on a busy street to wait for a person directly in front of him to pull out. It also happened last week, that time the driver saw my mother and I loading groceries into our car and stopped in the middle of the way till we'd finished, returned the trolley and pulled out. That thoughtless individual had at least four cars stuck behind because they'd stopped right at an intersection in a busy area. Do these people not think at all?!?!
Side rant: Please use your blinkers people! It's a hell of a lot easier for us cyclists NOT to get run over if we know you *are* turning onto the road we are abour to cross.

Ah Sugoi! >dances holding a picture she's just done< I've been drawing some lovely stuff lately (check out YERF and HERE for the most recent three) And am trying for a casual job at a camera film developing shop >fingers crossed as I NEED the money<
Hopefully I'll have some art for sale on Furbid soon.

A fair bit of link fixing and page adding around the Tir all morning, including inserting the beginnings of the Gather area and a few more Pah'llock pages.
I've uploaded part of the colour art section for M@W and will prolly do more on it.
Does anyone ever read this thing? Just out of curiosity. I'd love any feedback on my webpages so feel free to email!

Well I didn't get the job as the Lanscape gardeners assistant, and in a way I'm kinda glad: Now I've got to get back to checking the classifieds and make myself some business cards to hand out.
At some soon stage, once I've finished Glider's commission, I'll be doing some pictures of eagles and owls to try to sell at a gallery here. Hopefully I can get a bit of money through that to add to my travel savings for next year.
On another tack I shot a three arrow round of 3d* targets at archery this morningand tho the score was mediocre I had a lovely line for most of them and corrected a couple of bad habits. I need to practice more than once a week tho. Maybe when I get my motorbiking licence I can get out to the range a bit more.
* They're life size dense-foam statues: deer, pig, rabbit goat, and cats. All feral animals here. 3D's are a rare treat we usually shoot 2D cardboard targets.

A new month already. I suppose I've achieved things during February, a fair few things, but there always seems so much more to do.
Currently I have three stalagmites of fantasy books in my room waiting reading, a commission to complete, a veggie garden to organise and a desire to muck around with my paints once more.
I'm working on some mouse pad designs for Gone Astray if anyone is interested. Mug Designs will come after that.
Blah! Horrible Govt site! I'm trying to register for a business number for my art sales (few as they are) but the site is intent on being a pox upon the net.
Oh well. Better get on with it. Ja mata!-
