Well Im finally getting the 'real' Irish weather - twas wet and windy and wet all today and is forecast for more of the same tomorrow and Saturday. I haven't been doing much drawing over the last few days - I've spent my spare time on reading and knitting (I'm insane enough to have started making my own jumper) more than anything else.
I looked into motorbike insurance - almost 900 just for a 50cc motorbike >_< - thats a smaller engine size than the postmen back home ride and I could get one second hand for 220.
GAH nasty insurance companies! So I'm now looking into an electric pushbike - they don't need to be insured and I might be able to cycle a bit faster. I'd really love to do pottery classes in Fethard but it's half an hour's drive away and ends well after dark.
Next Wednesday's St Patricks day - still not sure what sort of celebrations we'll be having - hopefully we'll get to a parade though ^_^
Soh it's wet wet wet and I'm glad we've finished setting up the septic tank for the cottage - the ground is all ankle deep mud now ^_^ Doesn't make feeding the cows and ponies first thing in the morning all that pleasant - though I saw a hare in one of the paddocks today = a big fellow.

Hey! I now hold dual citizenship for Australia and Ireland!! ^_^ I got my citizenship papers yesterday from the Irish department of foreign affairs ^_^
Next thing Im aiming for is to get my passport, source a 50cc motorbike and find out about insurance for it.
In terms of career goals I am going to put together a portfolio and send it to a couple of Irish childrens book publishers and also get some artwork together for a possible exhibition or displaying it in a gallery.

Whoot - updates of a kind. I hope to eventually get the gallery well updated - new stuff on Elfwood as soon as it updates.

Back in Ireland!
Hey all - I'm back in the green Isle and on the farm - connection has improved and I have access to pitas again (Birmingham Library had it locked out).
And I have decided to splash out and buy myself a FTP program so I can update this webpage (Now if ONLY I had dreamweaver too ^_^). Many thanks to those who have been commissioning me for art - it's given me a little money to play with.
I have done some VERY nice bits of art over the last few days(non GA related so far) which will hopefully be on display once Elfwood has updated or I get the ftp proggy setup.

I went past stonehenge today (you're not allowed near the stones and have to pay a huge amount to walk in a circle 100m out from the stones so we drove round it by road) then to Avebury where you can touch the stones and walk along the stone circle - they had a lovely protective sort of feel to them - like huge stone dogs sitting, waiting and watching over the area. Got a couple of postcards and one card with a nifty embossed stamp image of a dancer on handmade paper - makes me wonder if I shouldn't have a bash at making my own cards ^_^

I'm now in Ringwood - close to Stonehenge, Salsbury hill and New Forest with friends of my parents from their motorcycling days ^_^
Hope to get more art up soon
