Okay - now I'm pissed. The Electric utility can't turn on service until the 3rd. To top things off for the first time EVER in my life I called a cable guy & was told they could be out there tomorrow - AND I CAN'T DO THAT BECASUE THE FUCKING ELECTRIC COMPANY IS BEING STUPID. So no 14 straight hours of WRC for me. *sulks*
It figures the only time in recorded history the cable guy can get out there in a reasonable amount of time something would prevent me from taking advantage.
Okay so now i know... adjusted for acuracy I type 46wpm(or 47 raw)... of course.. no idea if that's good or not ... o.O?

Okay so... playing Metroid Fusion again.. somewhere near Sector 2(got my bomb data already & am in the unmaped area) but I can't figure how to hurt the stupid jumping eyeball thing. It's easy enough to dodge... but very hard to damage... oh well, I'll figure it all out tomorrow....
Went down to TxArt today! Got new Copics! A series of cool greys(because they're easier to sketch with than carrying a giant case of colors everywhere) & a special black... for some reason I didn't have black o.O?
Does anyone know why it's "special" I wonder?
Nearly was killed by this jackass in a black NSX on the way there.. >( Why do the cool cars always belong to people who couldn't drive reasonably to save their lives? He pulls up doing 95 at least, swerves in front of us - missing by inches at best(seriously, the car shook from the air flow coming off of his) then imediately swerves back around this poor guy in an old domestic something. I was positively amazed he didn't hit the guy... or us for that matter.

Anyway, fixed images I know those have been up & down since the 24th - for some reason my domain name is no longer working - sort of... "www.demonicplatypus.com" works fine but typing "demonicplatypus.com" does not... so I had to edit all my imag calls to be from "www." which seemed pretty stupid to me all things considered. My regular subdomains are still working fine to add to the stupidity... so who knows what's screwed up where...

Ignoring the booze.. I also got a shweeet model Subaru WRC car(Petter's nat'ch) from puddle & this perfect snake bracelet from my Dad. It's wonderful - I'm calling it Striker after my little girl *sniffles* I miss her so much this time of year...
They have this for PS2 & GBA... and being that I'm hell-bent on getting a GBA(isn't X-mas $$s lovely?)... I so need this game.. must find. >.< Why are all the cool things always imports?

Spied the Kimi-boi at Chic-fil-a yesterday ^-~ He is, unfortunately for my mental health, still cute & still looking a bit like Kimi Raikkonen to mine eyes. Was so hoping it was just the lighting.... Oh the down side; he opened his mouth and spoiled my image of him having an pretty accent or something *sulks*
Spent most of the evening wrapping presents(and having a mental breakdown because of my grandparents - know they mean well.... but must they sit in the room with the television if all they want to do is talk over it?!?!?). I would like to say I was coerced... but really I volunteer for this every year... because sadly - I am the only person in my family capable of doing so... no seriously. I'm not all that good at it either... but its me... or stuffing everything into some bags with thrice used tissue paper.
On the upside - I get to know what everyone else is getting ahead of time ^-^

*sighs* bandages are expensive.
The Steri-strips on my thumb fell off today(the nurse said they would so that didn't initially much bother me) and imediately the wound gapped open >.< Its reaaaaaalllly ugly. Kinda zig-zagged. I'm taking bets on how badly it will scar. After spending the day with it hurting, itching & oozing I gave in and bought some butterfly closures so its not bothering me anymore... but I'm out 10$ in bandaids & stuff. *pouts*
Slicing your hands up is costly. Will have to remember that in the future. =P
Did get the frame replaced easy(pud scared the woman at the register when she mentioned I'd cut up my hand because of it i think ^o~) & de-gooed... well actually puddle did that... I'm not being allowed near any sharp objects anymore. =S
Other than that... I may be getting a new computer? Or at least some additional harddrive space... Some friends of my parents gave them their old computer & of course the parentals aren't really sure what to do with it(I suggested that hooking up the monitor to the laptop wouldn't be a bad idea.... but I guess I'll probably be the one doing that if it happens... 'cause you know, plugging things into stuff is hard & all... and it'll have to wait for my bro to get his comp fixed & back to school first anyway. He's done something to it... the network card is all fucked up & naturally no one knows where the hell any of the drivers/prog CDs for *anything* are so I can't try re-installing stuff - *grumbles* - I don't know how my family expects me to play Tech Support without having any of those... Mother claims to have cleared off 108 viruses too - I'm not sure if she means infected files or individual bugs... >.< I'm hopping the former - my bro's ability to contract comp viruses is positively scary).
Anyway - the computer is only 2 years old, so in theory at least it should be faster than TED(he's approaching the grand old age of 5 now) even if it wasn't top-of-the-line when bought. I won't know for sure until I get to check out the CPU though... so not until we get moved(I'm not so desperate as to drag a computer over here just to have to move it again in 2 weeks). I'm hoping the processor is better(I've got an old pentiumII 450 right now) & maybe I can gut both computers to amalgamate something more effecient(I have a lot of RAM & extra drives & cards invested in TED that I'm not real keen on giving up).
I suppose this means a trip back to the days when I still knew some stuff about these damn machines... I do know that while it sounds lovely in my head I'll probably end up with all kinds of fun compatability issues trying to fuse TED with *anything* more current.... so I may end up just hooking the two machines together and using the new one as a back up or something...

I hate my life.
As if nearly slicing my thumb off earlier this week wasn't bad enough... I got home after buying one of those glass float frames to find that it was covered in sticky goo - obviously that's no good so set to washing the gunk off in the sink.
Aparenty the water temperature was just too much for the crappy glass & it shattered in my hands, nicking a lovely cut on the inside of my middle finger. I am now down to three functioning fingers on my left hand. I am bleeding. I am pissed off. And I am out 10$ on the frame that I don't have in the first place.
Right at this moment I hate Christmas, my life, my hand and all sharp objects within a 30 mile radius.

Went to see a midnight showing of Lord of the Rings ^o^. It was so good! I liked the tree-thingies! and Golem was really well done. All of the effects were fab of course. Want to go see again but will prob have to wait a few weeks to get into the theater again.

Filled up 6 boxes with books, manga and Cds tonight w/help from puddle. Feeling moderately accomplished ^-^
Unfortunately I went to wash my hands(dusty books >.<) & now my thumb is bleeding again... the nurse said not to change the bandage for a day or two... but this is really gross... >.< I guess I'll try to live until tomorrow at least... wondering if I should tape it to something so I can't move it & retear the gash again.. o.O?
Note to self - take a first aid course sometime soon...

I was at the parentals this afternoon sawing through a cheeseball when I managed to slip the knife through a large chunk of my thumb(and here I thought fruitcakes were supposed to be the dangerous food-like Xmas present >.<). A good bit of blood and hustling (me, trying not the panic, "Hey Dad - can you drive me to the emergency room?")later I was sitting in the waiting room of the local minor emergency clinic watching these two horrible women yell at these two little girls.
Something about being in pain and having to watch that really got to me. Those women should really be shot or something... the poor little girls were just playing.... why is it that some adults don't get that kids are... well kids? *sighs*
So anyway, I'm okay - My thumb's all bandaged up(thankfully it didn't go deep enough to warrant stitches) with a nice 50$ bandaid & those sterile strip thingies... well.. okay... its a 10$ bandaid... the other 40$ went to the doctor for pulling the wound apart again and inducing another pint of blood loss ;;>.>
I still want to go smack those two women around a bit though...

I just saw some little MTV clip on the Fast & the Furious 2... they've mutilated a Lancer Evo!!!!!!!!!! *sobs* And an NSX *cries some more* It's hideous! This crappy looking orange paint... it looks like it drove through Austin during a Longhorn game or something >.< And the Evo... didn't get a good look at it but it had one of those obscene ugly metal spoilers on it... how could anyone need a bigger spoiler than the thing that comes stock on one of those?!?! And there was an Eclipse Spider that had all this performance shit but no roll bar...
*sulks*
Maybe it's just that I don't get the tuner market.. but those cars were UGLY!!!
WHY?!?! Who decided making another one of those movies was a good idea...?!?! And without Vin too... there goes my sole motivation to see it...

Back from Austin.... so shleeeeepppppyyyyyy... got no rest there... though wandering around was probably worth it... Bookpeople is always worth the trip by itself ^-~
The trip to the new Cheesecake Factory there didn't hurt either(although finding the new Cheesecake Factory was a bit of a trick.. should really know better than to ask the grandparentals for directions, they always leave out some critical detail... like where you're supposed to exit from 183 >.<) - yummy-yummy... ^o^

Going to Austin tomorrow... which is cool because it means Bookpeople, Toy Joy, Paper Place, and Cheesecake Factory(and getting away from the Stereo freak living above me)... but kinda sucks because it means very limited internet until I get back.

Lastly... I think I had a run in with puddle's crazy red WRX tonight >.< A red impreza tailgated me most of the way home.... pissed me off, doesn't that idiot know how many cops stake out that area? *sulks* Why do the bad drivers always get the cool cars anyway?
