Cosfest 2004

Went to Cosfest last sunday. Met up with Goose and her friend and chatted with them while waiting for Kou. Went with them to downtown east and ran into Jonathan and Eiji. Eiji was a sight for sore eyes, especially in that getup which made alot of us think that she was cosplaying someone XD Ran into Akane Jojo cosplaying Robo Ky.. more like she whacked me on the head with a paper fan §^^ll Met up with the cockster bunch there. Saw some other people there too.. zer0, Yukina, Kyoka, Keokepa, Wendy, Takahan, Rox, Vanessa and a few others whom I recognized but didn't approach. Lots of different cosplayers.. the ones that struck me were the Darth Vadar, Stromtrooper and the Dynasty Warriors 4 team. Prince of Penis team got a good amount of screams from the crowd (why am I not surprised?) Naruto team wasn't too bad but I think the Dynasty Warriors team not winning anything was quite a disappointment.

Winamp playin: Kinki Kids - Flower

Sheesh.. been a damn long time since I blogged, almost 2 months to be exact. And no, you're not seeing it wrong, I _am_ listening to a Kinki Kids song XD Lots of stuff has happened in between that time.. good things, bad things, sad things, mad things.. some things I regret not blogging earlier and some things that I'd rather not put down at all. Those that were/are with me will more or less know what stuff I'm talking about so let's just leave it at that. Firstly I'd like to say that the D'J Party on the 6th of June was quite a success and congrats to L'zifier (hope i got the spelling right), Mayfair and GeneXis.. you were great! (as well as being abit cock at the end but that's good too! XD) I've pretty much gotten used to army life.. or rather the 'good life' that I've been given at my brigade. Been busy the past month with BCTC, ICT stuff, duty and what not so I've been working late and staying in alot §T___T Fortunately there's MSN for me to use so I'm still able to retain a little bit of sanity =p Just wanted to say (before i forget, damn my abesent minded brain), to all my friends, I'm always there if you need a listening ear or someone to be there, so don't hesitate to gimme a call or drop me a message when you're feeling down or worried abt something. Altho I may not be able to remedy the situation, I'll do the best i can. That's what friends are for, right? =)

Working on something I haven't done in quite a while.. but its a secret =X Don't know why but nowdays I don't have the 'kick' or 'drive' to sing, unlike last time. Maybe it's "that time" of the year/my life or something.. duno lahz. Been goin nutz over Gungrave ever since I played the game.. which reminds me, i might be changing the look of my blog soon IF i got the time, patience, a little creativity and the un-laziness to do it. Oh well.. feels like I've been dead, buried and clawed my way out of a grave.. but somehow I'm still alive and in one piece. All that remains is to look to the stars. Jamming goes on as usual but I feel that I can't give my 100% until I get the 'drive' back again. Well I got to go back to camp liao.. blog more next time. And in the words of the Vampire, Kain:

I'm back from my 1 week induction programme~ (altho most would argue that it was similar to a holiday camp XD) Anywayz some of the stuff that happened there was quite unexpected.. for instance.. I didn't expect to see someone who looked like Kirk Hammet and Emerson (before the haircut, of course) as well as running into Yc later in the week. I sure as hell wasn't expecting to be in the same bunk with a primary school friend whom I have lost contact with for almost 10 years. During the 1 week I was amazed at how little physical activity we had to do (and how much nonsense we could get away with). I mean, come on.. the toughest exercise we had to do was foot drill and that was at most an hour on Tuesday, that was it. They couldn't drop us to do pumping, they couldn't make us run.. so basically they couldn't punish us physically at all. Lessons were mostly lecture based with a few talks here and there. The food there was not too bad altho it was hard to eat breakfast after guzzling an almost full bottle of water during the morning water parades. We had a lot of free time starting from Wednesday onwards.. most of the time would be spent either sleeping in the bunk, talking cock with friends or calling people back on mainland and chatting with them. Called up a number of people during the nights.. and irritated some people by bragging abt the good life in Tekong that i was enjoying XD

The people in my bunk were quite ok except the fact that almost half of them are fuckers.. and by that I mean the literal meaning of the word.. the kind that picks up women and well.. you know §-__- People are probably gonna ask me if I have any ghost stories to bring back from Tekong.. well not really but there is one incedent which is a little creepy. On the last night I was pretty tired so I went to sleep after lights out while some of the others stayed up to talk rubbish. I remember waking up the next morning and remembering that I had dreamt of a sadako-like figure in white with long hair just standing there not looking up.. and was a little shocked to hear that the people who stayed up heard a woman's scream and one of the guys had seen something the previous night that he didn't want to talk about.. kinda freaky. I'm back on mainland and sure as hell enjoyed the one week of crap that we(my platoon) all had to go through together. Well i'm a little nervous about my posting.. Clementi Camp. I hope the place there is quite relaxed.. *prays hard*

I'm goin to the army tomorrow~ The journey of a young singaporean man who has to part with his Identity Card and join with his 11B for 3 years begins. Heck, i'll be out by next sat and talking cock in no time XD Had to forgo the Deep Purple concert coz Ed had to go to a friend's birthday party and Ah Long is still recovering from his lung infection. It was a fun day nevertheless... and I thank everyone for coming out to see me one last time with my hair, lol. I will miss you all and be thinkin of ya'll inside, hehe. Winamp playin: Tenacious D - Wonderboy

Hehe.. like the theme suggests "I'm Back!" after some time of missing in action. Well, the days are going by slowly.. April 12th is nearing. Starting to feel a leeetle bit nervous already. Anywayz, met up with Ed and Ah Long yesterday to play some pool (or watch them play pool, rather). After lunch we went down to meet the rest at Dhoby Ghaut before heading down to Maplewood Park. Got there just in time to see Mayfair (kuek and tabe's band) perform. They had a few problems but managed to pull through.

Lots of bands later, GeneXis went up on stage and played their setlist of Au Revoir, I For You, Fate and their original, Scars. Was running around and trying to get some shots of them but I couldn't cover some of the angles coz of people obstructing my view.. but heck managed to get some decent shots. After their performance we decided to go eat dinner. Ed, Sakuya and me kept singing the Lee song all the way and irked Mayu and Brian XD

Came back to see L'zifier finishing their act. Was looking around and noticed that the next band's keyboarist was setting up his equipment.. A KURZWEIL! A fuckin Kurzweil. Ed noticed the tone of the guitarist and told me to stick around.. and I didn't regret staying. The first song they played was "Highway Star" by Deep Purple.. fuckin old school! The vocal's voice pierced through the air with his loud singing and the instruments did their thing. It was unbelievable.. for me at least coz I had never seen any other band cover songs like this. Their original "Red Sky" was not bad.. and the next song blew me away. When the keyboardist was adjusting his settings we heard something that sounded like The Final Countdown's synth tone.. but we were proven wrong when we heard him do the intro for Van Halen's "Jump". Whoa! That was something that I least expected anyone to play in this gig. The guitar and keyboard solos were great and again the vocal's singing drove the power home. I believe they were going to play another song but had to stop coz the cops came (It was near 11 pm at that time). Damn, just too bad I guess. Went over and got to shake hands with the vocal §^^V Got the keyboardist's number too.. the best part is he teaches! Hope to start learning soon.. been delaying for too long.

We left for home.. Ivan Ed and me rushed to the last train tat was going to Dhoby Ghaut. Ed and me got in but the doors closed before Ivan could get in. Ended up that I was the only one who had the last train back home. Left a few more weeks before I go in.. next big event.. Deep Purple Concert~

Will be rotting away at home for the next month or so till my enlistment date.. but not to worry, my brother just got a PS2 so it will keep me company for quite a while XD Went to see Billy Sheehan's bass clinic last week.. the ex-bassist of Mr. Big and the man who has played with the likes of Steve Vai. What can I say? I loved it. Even though I don't play bass I enjoyed the clinic and picked up some philosophies from the man himself (some of which affirmed my own thoughts). Winamp playin: Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills

Pretty uneventful day save for the evening trip to 'Haw Par Villa'. Met Issami and Yun at Ang Mo Kio mrt station and brought them to Ah Long's house. Ah Wei and Qiaoling were already there.. Ah Wei was fooling around with Ah Long's drumset and Qiaoling was playin the computer. Took over Qiaoling and played around with the com for a while.. Jonathan came and played with the drumset too §-___-lll Ed, Rae and Alfe came when we were watching School of Rock. Ivan and Akane came a while later with Wenjie and Luna. Had dinner there.. steamboat kind of meal. Too bad Ed and Rae couldn't join us.. it was quite a memorable dinner (to me anyway). Its been a long time since the cocksters had sat down and had dinner together.. miss the good ol days.. but life goes on.. can't stay in the past forever. After dinner I asked Ah Long to play the Jordan Rudess tape but about 10 mins into the tape, it got screwed up coz of the fungus.. so I asked Ah Long to play the L'Arc~en~Ciel Grand Cross Conclusion concert vcd that I had brought. Watching the concert brings back old memories.. Sakuya came with Liyun just when they were playing the 2nd last song for the concert... talk about crashing the party. After the concert, we hung around for another 10 minutes or so before leaving for home. Had quite a good time.. hope there will be more of such events every now and then.

Winamp playin: Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Chile

Jeez.. been a friggin long time since I updated. No mood, no time, no patience and sometimes nothing much to write about. So much shit has happened that its about time that I flushed the toilet. Lets see... major crap that happened was that I got attached to some comapany in Tuas and I have to wake up 4 fucking a.m. in the fucking morning everyday of work. Got wasted on licorice at Mayu's house on Christmas Eve. Watched School of Rock and stayed up whole night on New Year's Eve. Got a decent keyboard from William. Took part in a gig with Scream and left after helping them through it. Ed got a gf. Jon got a gf. I got laid (No, I didn't but I wish I did). Bought a cd writer.. and yeah.. that's about it. 9 weeks into attachment.. 3 more to go. I'll be damn happy when this is over.. no more standing for 11 hours, getting backaches, neck aches and sleeping late. Good thing is that I got my pay and settled all my debts.. and will use the spare cash to get a few albums. Another good piece of news is that my old band is FINALLY forming back again. Time to get serious.. been waiting for this a bloody long time. Well.. got nothin else to say now so I'll be signin off now. Oh, by the way, Happy Fuckin Lunar New Year
