Tuesday, March 12, 2002 *looks at Reins' blog* wow, Reins-dear, you still make the coolest layout. Pink Youji have nothing over green 'One Piece' ^^ Tuesday, March 12, 2002 Kit-san, the Sei-chan carbon copy is called Naoe Nobutsuna, unfortunately I think he's actually sane and, dare I say it, on the side of light and goodness. However, considering the people you want to get rid of are -really- annoying he might take an exception ^^ As for the diseases that we are... I promise I'll have proper explanation done by Thursday night. That brings up the point, QD and kitty, why am I doing the explanations? I think I have anger management issues, or to be exact, I lack anger management skills the same way I'm completely and utterly helpless in dealing with stress. Negativity gets to me in a big way, my nerves just can't handle heavy bad emotions and major stress. I wonder where I enroll into one of those stress management classes? Talked to Ginny after class today, was much fun. Finally, someone who can talk Houshin Engi with me, and Berserk, and RPG gaming (we prefer the same team in FF7), and discuss my original manga ideas with. She even did David's concept sketch today ^__^ David looks much better than what I first envisioned him to look like. As for the actual story for the manga, I pretty much have the first six parts figured out and the end of the first arc planned out. Now I just need to finish the concept sketches for Kira, and actually draw the first part. Hmm, I just realised I don't have a bloody idea what I'm suppose to name it, and as much as I like 'Caffinated Turnips' it just doesn't seem right. Help? Monday, March 11, 2002 Just finished watching ep1 of 'Mirage of Blaze', it is interesting and obviously aimed at the female market, but I'm actually quite curious about the storyline. Once again reincarnation is used as a plot device (I like reincarnation fics, if done right). Nothing original here, but it does get pluses for good pacing of the first ep, pretty good animation and actually being able to catch a bit of my interest. Oh yeah, and none of the characters seem to be that annoying yet. I hope the main character does not become a wimpy angsting hero. He's actually pretty cool at the moment, not particularly an endearing character but someone I might grudgingly admire. As for the guy who's pretty much a carbon copy of Seishirou (physically anyway), he's, well, the dark powerful sort, who's meant to be -really- kick arse and stuff, he has potential, although I'll with hold my final opinion until I've seen more of it. Yes I do see the X/TB/YnM influence there, but I also know that CLAMP or Matsushida sensei didn't invent those stereotypes by themselves, it's just that they are the best known ones, so I'm really not all bothered by it. For some strange reason the opening sequence -really- irritate me. Monday, March 11, 2002 Finally using our own server space for my blog, yay, now I can actually be sure that this server won't screw me over ^^ Like the new layout ^^;;? Yes, I know Youji's wrongly coloured, but I don't care. Yes, it probably seem like sacrilege to certain fans, but once again I don't care. It's my blog and you don't know my address so, nyah, nyah. Despite their apparent higher education, University students like everyone else are sheeps. In a group their respective I.Qs drop to single digits. Stupid students, press the bell on the bus if you wanna get off, don't just sit on your arses and not press the damn bell. There's nothing to be afraid of, it's a fucking bell, you aren't in primary school anymore. Urgh. Don't mind me, I just needed to rant about University students mentality. Had a good day otherwise, spent about an hour in the Reid cafe trying to come up with a name for a band. I still like 'Dazed Requiem', but both cat and dog think it sound like a bunch of goths or a death metal band instead of a bunch of hyper active individuals. Personally, I like 'Dazed Requime', but I do see their points, so 'Fugue' it is. I'm a bit surprised at my analysis of certain characters, I didn't think I know Hisoka (and others) that well until I let my mouth run loose today during lunch. I'm usually much better controlled. Of course, cat and I will still never agree on Koji's character, I -do- agree with her on certain points, but then our opinons start to veer off in different directions *sigh* Hmm, I think I'm past the due date to change the source code of the otaku blogs ring... oh well *shrugs shoulder* Life goes on and all that, I'll just have to get rid of the actual source for it, no point leaving it when it doesn't work anymore, and I'm too lazy to sign up again to the new place. ........ All done, quite easy really. Anyway, I shall move on now; *After watching Furuba ep 14* Uh... *blink* uh... *blink* Wahahahahahahaha, oh my god, Ayame is so, so, so, just so. Oh gods, the guy is fucking scary, wait, he's cool, no, he's scary, argh, lets' just say he's clinically insane, ok? ^^;; I can't believe he sexually propositioned himself to his whole year/school? Oh gods, he's, he's, he's just so *burst into hysterical laughter* If I was Yuki I would be completely embarrassed as well, of course Yuki have other reasons for disliking Ayame so much *sigh*. And I thought I would be prepared for the Momiji episode, but wahhhhh, it was so sad, I bowled my eyes out. Yes, I was crying, it was just so sad *sniffles* wahhhhh, poor Momiji-chan. So mature, so sad, god damn it, stupid woman, you have a wonderful son and what happens? You wish you never had him, that you never remembered him. Argh!! Fine, whatever, spineless weak... *mumble* I know she had her reasons, and yes they were justified and understandable, but that still isn't a excuse for wanting to forget you own son. To have every last memory of him wiped from your mind, and to call your son a mistake, the one thing you've ever regretted *grit teeth*. And for some unfathomable reason I have Jessie and James' (Pokemon) speech stuck in my head, you know the one I'm talking about. It's like they are reciting it in my head, urgh. On other news, it has been decided that Leareth is Joism, kitty is the Lunar syndrome, and I'm the S.S. viral infection. Don't ask, it's complicated and I'll probably get around to explaining it, if the two of them haven't already. Monday, March 11, 2002 Hmm, I finish at 12pm today (I originally thought I finished at 1pm), so I'll meet you guys at the Reid Cafe? I have a two hour tutorial, oh god this going to be boring, -really- boring. Sunday, March 10, 2002 Qd and kitty, wanna have lunch tomorrow? Just blog and tell me when you guys are free, I'll check tomorrow morning. If you guys don't have the time then don't worry about it. I'll bring stuff that I owe ppl. Finally got to watch 'Bridget Jone's Diary' and 'Tomb Raider', and re-watched 'Best in Show'. BJD was very funny, I quite enjoyed myself, TR was just bad, I mean I wasn't expecting it to be great but it truly sucked. As for BIS, gods I love that movie, it is just great. And what have BIS taught me? Well, I now know there is a position in the karma sutra called the 'Congress of Cow' ^__^ and I can also recount eight types of nuts ^^;; Saturday, March 9, 2002 For the past few days I have been a bit off, I mean if people engage me in a conversation I'll participate but otherwise I'll be in my own little world listening to an ongoing narration. It isn't any particular character that I'm listening to, it is just a steady, strong and sensible voice talking about life, people and the fact ripping someone's skin off is a experience everyone should try. Despite the last the narrator seem like a very pleasant person. I know of his earliest memory; the day his grandmother fell ill and had to be taken to the hospital and the funeral that occured two weeks later. I know his first remembered dream; a bunch of talking candy canes telling him they are nice and delicious. I even know when he first fell in love; it was the girl next door who grew up with him. It ended when she died in a brand new hospital, alone, and him not there trying to reach his dreams. I wonder if this is the way my mind choose to inform me that I actually have a -working- original character to play with? Friday, March 8, 2002 Excel Saga hurts the brain. In a nice way of course. First screening of the UWAnime Club today, the quality of the stuff shown was really good, running it from the computer was probably a really good idea, although I'n still in fear of it breaking down. Quite a few ppl. turned up, much more than I expected. kat, I brought JUDAL today, but I didn't get to see you so, you'll have to wait until next week to get them back. Thursday, March 7, 2002 Currently listening to 'The Biggest Dreamer' the opening to 'Digimon Tamers' by Wada Kouji. I miss my other Digimon mp3s, I want my own copy of 'Butterfly' back *sigh*. Ohh, 'Taiyou Ha Yoru mo Kagayaku' is on, I think it is the 2nd HxH opening, it is really nice, I love random playlist ^^. Did a bit of colouring on the computer, I'm very new at this cg thing-ie with photoshop (try this morning), but I am trying to get better at it. And just because I really feel like sharing, here is a few things that I'd done today. The larger versions of these will probably be uploaded sometime during the weekened.
Fully agree with Liz about Sabina's blog, I do always end up wanting to either giggle helplessly or declare my undying worship. However, unlike Liz, it's usually the latter for me. Any person who can see the link b/w Utena and IniD deserves a shrine (that, or a ticket to the loony bin, but since I think she's the closest thing to stalking material let's look at it in a good light ^^). Oh yeah, and let's not forget about the heero layout, I wasn't sure if I wanted to laugh or cry hysterically. Probably both. Did a bit of psychology study, read 'The Happy Prince' by Oscar Wilde and watched a few more eps of HunterxHunter', I keep on forgetting just how ruthless and scary Killua can be, the boy's also manipulitive and at times thinks a tad too much. But he is my favourite character out of the whole series, followed rather closely by Gon, you just can't not like Gon ^^, he's so adorable. Hisoka, as I said many times over is a creepy man, a -very- creepy man, He does however have a nice body ^__^ Shifting through things that I needed to throw out yesterday, I came across two copies of Wilde's stories for Children, the copies dated back to '92 when I had still being in Ireland. One of them is an old, well read edition, the other is a glossy copy with gorgeous illustrations in -very- good condition. I'm currently re-discovering my love of Wilde's writing and snifflling away as I finish re-reading 'The Happy Prince'. I felt so sad over the Swallow. I haven't read these for over nine years now. I feel old. Did a few concept sketches for some original characters. I'm so glad my drawing skills haven't completely disappeared on me. It isn't much of a surprise that all the characters are all very heavily influenced by 'Houshin Engi' art style ^^;; Even their fashion sense is a bit too much. If you have read Houshin Engi (manga) you know what I'm talking about. Monday, March 4, 2002 urk, Chinese soapies are evil, I've just been invovled with it for the past two hours, urgh. And if -anyone- is obsessed or like Houshin Engi, please drop me a mail at naanima@hotmail.com, we can discuss everything that's HE related ^^. It is becoming really lonely, I seem to be the only one who's obsessing over HE *sniffles* I'm off to watch more Chinese soapie now. Monday, March 4, 2002 First day of school, thank gods for ppl that entertain me. Kitty found out just how incomptent UWA can be, poor kitty, go and look at your own blog, I've finished the layout. Qd, remember how you promised that you were going to help do the UWA webpage? Well, go and write a 100 words intro thing-ie for X-OAV to put up on the UWA web page. I'm too tired, will talk much sometime in the future. |
LAYOUT//
Uhh, I wanted a nice pink layout and inspiration seemed to only come from the Weiss corner so... I present to you Youji in all his pink glory ^^;; It's indeed a cruel and unusual layout, but in my defense I point my finger at Sabina's blog, 'cos well, it influenced me quite a bit. Well, ok it casted me into a nostalgic mood for the colour pink, and here it is ^^; For those who don't know the posterboy, it is Youji Kudo of Weiss Kreuz (or however you wanna spell it). Personally, I think the anime series is one of the worst I've ever seen (and believe me I've seen some really bad ones), the animation quality is bad, the storyline have holes big enough to drive a truck through, and in general the series just really sucked. However, for some strange reason WK have one fo the biggest deposits of really good fics. Me think it is the pretty bishounens (whoe, when you think about it isn't really that great looking in the anime, but damn, the manga art is -really- pretty, all the characters looks really good).
