WELCOME BACK! *wavies* Drool worthy layout, Sele. I was thinking about my next layout and Seishirou was up there in the top of my head. It's been long since I made one with my beloved assassin and I think it's time for me to sit, think and design *thoughtfully* about it *leSighe* I have so many ideas sleeping on my HD...

Watched random bits of the Academy Awards today and I could only shook my head when they said 'BOOO!!!' at Michael Moore in his anti-war speech. Oh well.
The most heart breaking part for me was the award for Peter O'Toole who received his special mention and they made a flashback of his career *leSighe* I was little, but I caught very clear the slashy hints on the movie production for Lawrence of Arabia... Many say he wasn't homosexual, even. But the proof is clear at the dedication of The Seven Pillars of Wisdom:

 I finally decently received Raid with its 20 tracks *lesighe* It's a pirate copy, but in Argentina with the coming and going prize of the dollar we love pirate stuff. Not love, just... rawr, it's the only way to get it. So, bye bye to random MP3s sleeping in my hard drive! *deletes*
I'm working on sprites. Yes, again. I am actually experimenting with Hellsing sprites. Specially with animation, since I pretend to create one I am *fully* satisfied of and also look as much IC as I can... *scratches head* the actual base I made of Alucard is too short, I have to make him taller, more threatening and not so candy looking or I'll die of diabetes. Integral looks cute <3 and I DO want to make an animated Walter-sama with his strings *lesighe*

 So here are my two cents on this war: Get a history book, read, think and then act, people. Last night I had the disgrace to talk with Liza who is one "Mighty American", and we talked about war who finished being a racist, ignorant, arrogant dumbass who happens to represent my distate for the percentage of people who think that way in that country to no limits.
Thankfully, and I put my hands together to give thanks to that, there are wonderful people out there who realise about the sickness of this matter and the lives taken in this useless greedy action.
When discussing with mom and aunt, we talked about how long will this take. Some say 10 years, others 5. And mother said "not so long", since the technology made such an evolution that, sad it is, they can push a couple of buttons here, and they explode on the other side of the world, erasing 'numbers' instead of people, human beings. Terrible.
"The most peace-loving people on Earth are now at war". Whatever you say, dude. Please.

Wah. Plenty things to comment in these last days. First, mom promised me that if I approved all the terms in March, which I did, she'd help me buying the CD-R to clean my poor laptop and make some money of CD recording. So? Meet my new baby XDDDD Sony rockssss!

 Working on some of the updates on Teishu, I finally finished to work on a decent layout for Menthol, my Harry Potter adoptions & AIM icons site. *sigh of relief* Now it works for every resolution. It features Rei Ayanami and I really like it ^^ It's simple but works just fine for the purpose. No major updates though. I'm trying to still organize all the new stuff I have to add. But it will come soon ^_~

It is known around the Book Fair of my city that I work 'unofficially' from time to time there. Mother is part of the Comission and last year I put the general programn of the activities of the fair online. It looked pretty handful. Now they are coming back for more XD. 1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not?
Err... it's the same for me. I like talking but I'm pretty structured on it. the typical "hi, how are you" then talking about the other's short life and "Well, see you". Used to like that a LOT when younger, of course. Now I don't get or talk at all on the phone, and if I do, I call international, which happens like... one time in the whole year, if it happens ^^;
2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone?
Hmmm, Graciela K. The wife of the President of the Book Fair to make a contract with me to be the local webmistress for their official site (*will blog about that later*)
3. About how many telephones do you have at home?
Just one. The black, shiny lovely General Electric one.
4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened?
Hmm from time to time. Most of the time the hung down before I can start throwing my blasphemies on them back.
5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not?
*chuckle* Well, I have to admit that I am not a happy camper to write e-mails, though they are needed. Letters, less. But I do if I REALLY have the motivation and need to express what I want to express in paper, hence, something more tangible than words in a screen. The phone is lovely in that aspect, yes. That's why I make international calls, just for dear people. 05:11 p.m.

So.. I went to a family reunion. It was weird, really. Twenty one unknown members of my own family that I met and I had no idea they existed. Pretty tolerable, civilized people, yeah. And one surprise.
I have my own alter ego on my family.
A girl named like me, Leticia. She has a zillion tatoos on her arms, back and legs. She has many piercings, smokes everything she has at hand (drugs included, douh), drinks until her stomach is dead, she moves between some local mafia groups and didn't even reached the 9th grade. And she's 17. Her skin is deep brown, not like mine, milky white and I'm surprised she doesn't have a son or daughter by now. She's my absolute opposite. It was a weird experience. It was like putting yourself at a mirror and say "See? This is what you'll never be"
She spoke a little with one of my newly discovered cousins and then, she dissapeared to the PC. Fuck it, if I knew there was one, I'd go directly towards it. But.. nah. Even in my idiotness, I know when I have to remain, talk and behave and when something is not worth of my time. Basic social rules.
The rest was pretty good. I have 4 female cousins, two male ones and the rest are indirect uncles and aunts. It was rather cool.
I'm going to have my last exam on monday and so they said "Hey, we could get all together again for Tuesday when Marilé (Me. That's the name they give me) gets her title on Monday". They all looked at me waiting for a reply. I replied "Hmm.. yeah. But I don't know. I mean, I feel... well.. embarassed" and blushing a bit, but then they said, "Come on. We are family, after all"
And I stopped.
Heck yeah. We are family. I already forgot about that. All the time I was like visiting strange people. Like a normal just 'new friends' or something meeting. Just something that you go once and then, maybe go again or not. The sensation was strange and a bit shocking.
Anyways, when we left they kept on saying "Come and visit us. We are here".
I'm not a very family fan. But the encounter was strange.
Remarkable thing, this is my mother's family, what I'm meeting. If I had to meet my father's family, who knows what I'd find. And you know what? I don't want to. What I know from the Sayal family is not something I am proud to be about carrying their blood.
So that's it. My experience of the day.*sigh* Back to normal life. 06:09 p.m.

Today I received a letter (finally!) from my friend María Sol.
We have been the closest friends at High school, shared our despise for it, made a pretty bunch of crazy things and have been called 'sisters' by our own families. She told me about her news, many of them, were expected. She's an English Major and she's teaching on a private Institute since 4 years now, and she's going to get married next year, after 3 years of being with her boyfriend. WAH! More than 5 long years since I last heard of her. She had to move to Ensenada (a city near La Plata, Buenos Aires) due to her father's job and we didn't break the contact. I went there a couple of times and she came here as well. But then, life teared us apart. And still, we remembered each other. She wrote me a beautiful letter where she wrote that she cherishes our friendship, the importance my friendship was for her, and how she misses the days we were together *sniffle* I do, too. Very much.
It made me very, very happy <3...

I finally managed to talk to the General Secretary of the library today to get my bloody salary. They haven't been laying me since January and it's only ,50 each month.
So she said that I 'owe' to the library a month of my current pay (in numbers) because last year, at the beginning, they didn't pay me so I asked for something, which I did, but I inmediately returned it after I got my first official salary. Today, she says she doesn't remember so I have to ask the Accountant. I talked to her, and she says she doesn't actually 'remember' me giving her the money, that I should keep a track of that. And of course, I had to say, "Excuse me, but I thought /YOU/ were the accountant. Not me"
Her face turned into a 4 different shades of red I haven't seen before. It was freaky. But she pretended to keep it cool (though inside she was murdering me) and told me that I'll get my pay from February. Not January, since I didn't pay her the bloody money.
So that's it. After getting yesterday 10/10 in my exam. Excellent marks for a career that they STILL don't recognise at my work.
Sooo that's life. I'm sitting now in front of the PC of the library, developing the Online Referencist project and waiting for the world to change. Really. 05:04 p.m.
