Quite simplistic, this screencap taken from the movie 'Escaflowne: a girl in Gaia', this wonderful shot of Hitomi and Van represents much the current view on many topics of a person's life, that could be mine and yours..

Past horizons that you have to let go;  others that you are welcoming with open arms, and those over there that you can't even see yet.

In the current scene, Hitomi realises that she has her own wings to fly and choose, lulled by Sora's voice singing the Dragon's song. She decides to be what a person is destined to be during its entire life: a memory, a feeling and a never ending moment in eternity.

And so she does.

*resting cheek on fist* *looks at screen*

Hmpph..

*sighs*

If you make a site on request, how would the bunch of people that requested should use it?

In a promotion, generally, right?

Well, the Book fair site has been up and running for over 3 months there and NOW, after they discovered how to push the "On" button of the PC, they told me that 'Yeah, it was a good idea'. They realised about the infinite ways to work with it, the quantity of people around the world that can see it and use it, create *gasps* mail accounts to the organizers to communicate with me about the changes, and more. Oh, the wonders of communication. What can't Japanese invent, huh?

Well, it came to my knowledge that NOW, and in a 3rd voice, I'm getting recognised for the stupid website. 3 months after opening, when the promotional posters, the activities programs, the press conference and all the bloody kajuna has been OUT without a single word that said "http://www.feriadellibrosannicolas.com". (Oh yeah, hence the stupidity of the insanely long name. They asked for it).

Am I getting paid for it? No. Because everybody there works for volunteer. Do I give a damn for it now? No. Because one cannot find a single move on support from the rest. Will I continue working on it? Yes. Not as much as I did in the beginning, but I will. Because I took a compromise and I have to fulfill it. At least, until this book fair finishes. Then, who knows.

I'm sure there are a million designers and webbie builders over there in the world who are raising their right eyebrow, chuckling and shaking their heads at what may or not be my 'whinning' here. But hell, I'm getting many money circunstances with certain fear and last night when I wrote the long entry you could see a crack moment in my subconscious with fear. But I'm stubborn, yes, and I have my head placed into my work, I am convinced that things are going to improve with me. Why? Because I work, I care, I want to go higher and I think that well, if people are made of energy, I must have it somewhere because I'm JUST starting the road and there's a lot to go. No matter how many times you'll read this and it may bore you. It's my blog, I speak without goings around.

See? I feel much better ^^ Hence those who say blogs aren't therapeutic. *chuckle*

*Crackles neck to the side* CRAKCRAKCRAKCRAKCRAK... *to the other* CRAKCRAKCRAKCRAKCRAK

Ooookay. Rae love has today mommy bonding time and I'm hoping here she'll spend a good relaxing time with her as well as her sister. Ali has her meeting with the cool oldies and I'll just stay home working on the contest (making the announcement screens for the kids who won) and going a little to the book fair to take more snaps for the site. *claps hands*

*yawns* Somethimes I feel like being an FBI agent would have been an extra in my list of wannabe careers. It's just amusing ^^.

Rant that you won't care about. You've been warned.

So yeah, I put that just for that people who say blogs whine a lot. *shrug* This is something that has been bothering me all day and that I don't want to charge anyone with, therefore, I'm speaking here. Let's say, my mom's screwed. And I am, too. At her work she's earning a misery and still, they take a lot from her salary. She's not a 22 year old like me to abuse as all the fucking bosses do, taking money over and over again. She's a fucking 63 year old woman who's been all her life working her ass out, with or without her health, strength and will, and is the most correct person to work with that you'll ever find in your entire miserable life. She's been suggesting and asking me all day what she could do to get more money, what could she get as a job. *SOMETHING*. She's depressed, I'm depressed for her, you get the friggin' picture.

The worse is that my new job at the school library is connected to the people who are her bosses as well, because it's all a general found for education. Education my ASS. They just educate me on how people can step on honest people's head for their own interests. So, if she opens her mouth, they threaten her with firing me off. That's the "EDUCATION" they provide.

I swear. I swear by dearm Merlin and I've been seriously thinking this for a long, LONG while, that I'm going to the bloody fucking head all over these bunch of morons treating her like shit and he's going to listen to me. I don't care if he's a powerful man, I don't care if he fires me off, I don't care if he gives me a pat on the back and send me back home or fucking shoots me in the head five times. He's going to listen to me if nothing changes. One of these days, I swear.

I'll speak my mouth off and guay, guay of all of them if I do so.

There are SO many humans who need to dissapear of this world.

Aaah! Pitas is back! *sighs*

I've read on the news that the owner is thinking of making a paid pick for the users, and that's really fine with me because Pitas' really good but, the only thing that worries me is to hope that free users like me WON'T have to deal in the future with annoying adds screwing our layouts, less features on the archives, or any other crap.

It's really neat to get some money help to this guy who's running pitas because it just rocks to have such a huge site running like this. There are many, many users now that are satisfied like me. Of course, we all need the money to improve certain things. But please, for the love of Merlin, don't disheart the free users, ne?

Oh yeah.

Book Fair opening tonight. You know what that means, kids. If I get a remaining piece of my humanity in a piece, I'll make it. This morning I've had a stampede of kids wanting to get books and returning them as I haven't seen in this entire month I've been there. It was really stunning. I can tell you that there were surely over 80 kids waiting already for me at the door of the library before I came. Plus I started the contest and they flooded me.

I returned home and my boss had no more brilliant idea than making a video and some photos to send to I don't know where. I had to come back to the library 20 minutes later, showered and decent (because it's HOT here. Damn! And it's only Spring already @_@) to get those photos done. Got some kids, put them into the library and got ready for the shots. Picked a cab back home, ate some nicceeee strawberries and fell dead on bed. And I didn't go to work to the other library. I've been working my butt off this weekend for those who haven't and I deserve it, what the hell. So here I am, 30 minutes before going to the book fair and thinking of the zillion things I have to do already. HEEEELLLP!!!! (Rae love, Ali-cat, don't count on me tonight too early ºxº)

Unhealthy breakfast of a tired Let And just when I thought I was going to have a quiet Sunday, working on the stuff for the school library, this pops out of the blue. I have to help the school libraries to get their stand done, because most of the school librarians are working at morning and nobody can go and help to set it. ARGGG!!Whatever. I'm going this afternoon to get some done and then I'm back to grandma's house to finish the school contest thingie. ~_~ And next week is going to be so tiresomeeeee!

*drums fingers on table* I was planning to mention someone, but since I'm not in the mood of wasting my time, I'll just give the definition the dictionary says:

Hypocrite: One who plays a part; especially, one who, for the purpose of winning approbation of favor, puts on a fair outside seeming; one who feigns to be other and better than she/he is; a false pretender to virtue or piety; the one who shows fake friendship or likeness; one who simulates virtue or piety.

And the bonus. A quotation.

Hypocritical professions of friendship and of pacific intentions were not spared.

--Macaulay

Pretty, hm?

Saturday, October 4, 2003

So, I should explain why I almost fell dead yesterday. Well, I've been running all day long with the Book Fair, getting everything done for today because we have to go to prepare the stand. And, also, I had to work on the website for such event, forcing my poor Kanoe to work *yet* with another program on her punished low memory. I switched technical providers, what the hell. I got more than enough upset with this bunch of assholes telling me that the memory is "coming next week" and never does. Rae says  it may be because I'm "just a woman" to that bunch of morons. I say it's because their brain capacity is not enough. They got me one memory not so long ago, but from 64 MB. Daaahhhhhhllliinnnn', I clearly told you to get one of 128. So, I had to wait for 2 more weeks till their buddy got it from US, because it's a laptop's memory and from ACER you can only get it from US *shrugs*. Result? Nothing. No news at all. "Next week..." "Next Friday..." "Next Tuesday..." and so on. Same with the webcam. Got tired, and now, I'm getting this cutie that also works as a digi-cam. *lesighe* It's not the best, but for me it's enough by now <3<3<3

You can get shots like these Shot from 30 minutes ago, from the window of my living room, where my laptop is ^_^where I can show you the horrible weather here <_<;;;;;; Yeah, it's wet, sticky and cloudy. Last night we had a good flashing storm here and I doubted for a minute to disconnect Kanoe or not.I didn't, because I wanted to talk with my lovies <3 XD And so I did. At the horizon you can see that this picture, there's the river and the islands in front of my city. Actually... *looks at the window* seems like it's raining right now. It's cool you know, because the river looks like silver right now.^^ Looooots of liquid silver XDXDXD In this other shot, you can see a suspicious white line I'm still doubting if it's not something worse coming. X_x;;; My grandpa used to tell me that when you see a line like that over the horizon, it means that a hailstorm's coming. *shudder* Last time this happened, back in September, most houses in my city had to rebuild their roofs. The size of the ice balls were almost like a tennis ball. No kidding. I got pictures of that day I may post one day. All the city was white.

Back to the book fair, Detail shot of one of the parts of the Fthis year the stand for the libraries has been practically planned by yours truly, because every year it's a PAIN to get all the librarians working together into this. *shrug* Their loss if they don't want to think of the good chances this brings to them, to publicite their libraries. So with a couple of librarians we got our hands working on a huge collage of photos from all the previous Book Fairs with random shots and activities organized by BINA (San Nicolás' Group of Librarians), instead of putting plain photos of the others without much grace. General view of the letter F. Upside down, you get the ideaSo, I scanned a big bunch of photos and edited them all together mixing their colors, blending them one with the other in many canvasses of A4 size, so we could print them and then, mark the pieces with the shape of the "F" and the "L" of "Feria del Libro" that is part of the logo this year. You can see them little because of the size of the shot, but they are pretty big. Another detailed shot Not so hard, you say? Girl, you have to get yourself working with the scissords cutting the exact shape of the letters plus the entire stand is at about 157' width for 59' height. All covered with a blue fabric, being blue, the other color of the book fair logo. Having a wet day made the glu process a pain in the arse, but it's done. Fiiiinallly. This afternoon I have Laura's birthday, and also go to the book fair to work, I may go at 4 at Lau's house, wish her a happy birthday and fly to the book fair to get it working.

..... and tomorrow I have to get all done for the kids done for the contest at the school library o_O;;; *pika pika* No worries! XD I'm really happy to get myself productive and working! *is very content*
