I was working on my Macross website and probably wouldn't have done a whole lot of talking anyway...so I stayed off IM. ^_^ I guess I'll finish sending Eien tomorrow? ^^;;

Speaking of which I was very productive tonight. I finished a huge amount of crap on the Macross site and updated SnK. *bows* I promised on the Mac7 site that it would be finished by the beginning of June, and I think I can keep that promise...that is, if my brother gets his lazy butt in gear and finishes the mecha section. I might just end up doing it myself. He wanted to do it, but apparently it's not happening.

I went with Shannon today to help do some work on Josh's new house. His family is moving back to their old house which they rented out about 10 years ago, when they moved to England, and apparently the renters left it in less than stellar condition. So they have to completely redo the whole house. The dynamics between Shannon and Josh were...interesting, to say the least. They used to date, and I don't know what the whole deal is, but suffice to say they weren't too terribly comfortable around each other. I guess it was good that I was there, so I could make mindless conversation? ^^;;

Anyway, I was checking out some really old links in my Favorites to see if they still worked, and stumbled across an old link to a Myst/Riven website. I don't know if anyone who reads this has ever played Myst, but it's a fascinating game. It's old, but it's a haunting experience that stays with you. I played it years and years ago and used to be really into the game and the Myst "world," if not really into the internet fan community. I guess the interest dwindled after a few years, but looking at the site I feel kind of guilty for not continuing with the fandom.

Myst and Riven are the stuff of fanfiction. They just have an atmosphere about them and are so surreally beautiful that you almost question yourself if you're dreaming. The games are made up entirely of stills, but beatiful and realistic stills at that. It's like a dream. Sometimes it's grotesque, sometimes it's frightening, sometimes it's incredibly breathtaking, like a dreamscape. I don't know how else to describe it...and the music is absolutely gorgeous as well. I personally like the Myst music better than the Riven music, but both are wonderful...it captures the dreamlike quality very well.

They're coming out with a Myst 3, but it's not made by Cyan so I'm not sure how good it will be. I've seen some pictures and I watched the trailer and downloaded the theme...it seems ok so far. *shrug* I've kind of gotten away from playing computer or video games in general. My gaming days were back in high school...now it just seems like an incredible waste of time, when I could be writing or updating or something else. I might just get Myst 3 later, for nostalgia's sake. Or maybe not. ^^

Anyway, QS, I put up the Dorothy and Heero sides. And no, I'm not mad at you. Why would I be mad at you? ^^;; Sorry about the whole IM thing...it was my computer being screwy, not me. I do hope you found the disks. Though if you didn't we have another week, since we posted sides this week instead of 5.3.

I took my Latin final today (yesterday?)...forgot to mention it in the last entry. I think I'm lucky if I got a C. Seriously. I mean, I studied and all, but first of all, I really hate Latin. Second, it's supposed to be summer break and no one, least of all me, enjoys studying during summer break. SOOO that's my Latin story. Oh well. My professor said she'd email me my grade, but I haven't gotten any threatening emails from her yet (though the email I got that was titled "your fanfics" sounded vaguely threatning ^^;; though it was a nice email after all).

I suggested it yesterday, and I think that it would see a lot of use if the people actually put it down as a mood. Unfortunately, I read the rules and it said "no made up words." So go suggest it and be sure to put down in the description box thingy that it IS a real word...albeit a Japanese one. ^_^

Well, apparently some German company was charging huge amounts of money to my credit card so I had to call the people and shut down my account. Fun stuff. I really don't think I've bought anything online in the excess of $100 ever, and why would I buy anything from Germany anyway? @_@ The only overseas place I buy from is Japan XD

Moving on, I really like this song Squall. Fukuyama Masaharu is apparently really big in Japan, though he doesn't have many followers over here. I've heard two of his songs and I like both of them. Both are slower ballads. Squall is a piano ballad, actually. I think you'd like it, neesan. Not exactly jrock, but very pretty. (on another note, one of my favorite jrock artists, Himuro Kyosuke, has a song called Squall, but it's totally different ^^;;)

^^;; Erm...my Japanese final today was pretty easy. What was actually cool was that the whole Asian language dept was apparently cleaning out their offices today, and while I worked I could hear my teacher chatting to various people in Japanese. The cooler thing was that I could actually understand a lot of it. ^____^ I guess watching all that anime and listening to jrock is paying off, huh? ^_~

I have my Latin final on Thursday, and suffice to say that I have not started studying. o.O I was going to this afternoon...but never got around to it XD Oh well.

From now on, anything majorly ranty about jrock will go in the jrock blog, so I won't bore you with my review of Glay's Global Communication PV. ^_^

Whee! New layout, finally. I've been itching to get my fingers back on Photoshop but this is the first time I've had access to my computer in weeks ;_; Anyway, this is Gackt. Camui Gackt. THE Camui Gackt. @_@ How is it possible for someone to be so damn talented? *dies* People like him make me feel like a bug crawling on the face of the earth in search of any form of insectile enlightenment. ^^;;

Err...in other words. Gackt is awesome. Gackt is fucking AWESOME. If you haven't heard him sing, GO DOWNLOAD ONE OF HIS SONGS! I'd suggest something like Au Revoir or Je Te Veux (Malice Mizer) or Story for first time listeners. Trust me, the man can SING. @_@

Anyway, in other news, I finished Cowboy Bebop tonight. The ending was...sad. And tragic. And kind of unneeded, in my opinion. I mean, I expected some sort of ending tying up Spikes' unexplained past, but that sort of dramatic ending was just not suited for a series that didn't follow the "series" anime form. Cowboy Bebop is pretty much an episodic series, in which each episode can be in itself a stand alone story. In the face of this, the ending seems a little...contrived? I don't know the word ^^;; Anyway, it's still a great series. (Yoko Kanno! XD XD)
