It's 5:30 in the morning and I haven't gone to bed yet.
While speaking with a friend, an old tick sparked up again and pushes me to talk about it. I never mentioned this here in detail before, but the one time I caught plagarism regarding the site was actually with that Ken uke contest run by Ana and Gal. Maybe it's the late hour, or the long conversation, but it's suddenly decided to bother me again and maybe it would help to vent a bit now.
The site mod had apparently decided to just cut and paste the text from my main page and category page to use for their own contest. They added some stuff and made the necessary changes here and there of course. But basically just took things practically word for word. Now...*why* WHY would somebody even need to do that?? They're....contest guidelines! Good lord, you can't come up with that yourself? o_O I did that bunch of rambling in an hour or so. And ppl actually copied the rambling. And left it still totally sounding like me. I don't know whether to be angry or laugh now. They even used my Seme/Uke explanation! XD LMAO! Penetration here Penetration there!
She changed the words around, rephrased stuff, removed some stuff, after I emailed them about it. But dude...that's still plagarism. Well, that's prolly what I *should* have said then. But hell I was stressed enough as it was, didn't need any more. She still wouldn't clearly credit me though. Just had a mention of my contest. As though there was actual association...Aiy, that's just so not nice...
The long night and this weird water making my brain decide to contemplate this stuff *now*. I should stop drinking water. This natural stuff is weird on my brain.
Yay! Friends won the Emmy for comedy. I like Friends. I can't relate to 75% of the stuff they do, but they are just. so. funny. I like Chandler.
Conan O'brien was hosting. I like him. He's also funny. But I don't think the celebs appreciate his self-deprecating humor as much. That love interest bit was soooo funny though. So was the opening piece with The Osbournes. I should try to get tickets to Late Night. That'd be fun.
I think Friends and Conan are the only two shows I know about on television. O_o I never watch tv. Only late at night when I get home and it's too quiet. And too late to turn the stereo on loud. And Friends only cuz of the reruns. I'd never seen almost all the shows that were nominated for an Emmy...Hmm...none of my friends really watch tv come to think of it. What are we doing then?!
...Did someone spike my water???
And Happy Birthday to Max! Ikari that is.
Who knew?
Saturday, September 21, 2002 11:51 p.m.
I found out tonight at dinner (today was Mid-Autumn Fest) that my mom has a close friend who's friends with Jet Li. Who knew? And here I thought I wasn't even remotely close to knowing anyone famous. Now I know that I know someone who knows someone who knows a celebrity =D. Well techinically, I'm suppose to know this friend of my mom's, too. o_O According to her, he used to visit us all the time in NY and had dinner with him a good number of times when I was younger. I'm told his head is shaved bald and still I can't recall him for the life of me. But damn, I wish I had been nicer to him now XP. I know I can be very unapproachable when out with my mom's friends.
I, of course, did some serious interrogating after being informed of this lil connection. Turns out, last year when my mom went on vacation to visit some friends on the west, that friend had asked her to fly over a few days earlier so she could attend a party at Jet Li's home with him! My mom didn't go of course. Dammit! >_< Heard they stayed up playing mah jong together all night long. Hmm...wonder who is better, my mom or Jet Li? XD
....dammit!
I would have liked to meet his Miss HK wife and lil daughter though. Hehe, Auntie LG x_X ::corrupt corrupt::. Sammo Hung and other training brothers of Jackie Chan were also there........dammit!
Oh well, maybe I should pay more attention to who my mom introduces to me now. I can be such a lil bitch at those things >_<. Though they think my silence is just me being conservative and proper, muehehe. Fools.
Too many quizzes. Damn all the quizzes.

The oh-so-very cool Squall. Another? And another?
That was one impressive gunblade. This guy got like his own full page of pics. I think the photographer must have had the hots for him X). See more of the hottie. Too bad I never got a pic together with him as Squall. But I guess Cloud will have to do. =P Speaking of...
The poor, Seph-molested Cloud pic.

I finally sat down and watched the Saiyuki movie. It was...good. Lots better than I expected it to be. And I'm just going to ignore the full six SIX! minutes of BS theatrics in the beginning. Oh, but what made me laugh was the gratuitous Gojyo shower scene!! It was like watching a parody of the Chun Li shower scene in the Street Fighter movie. I wonder if it was intentional? Hehehe. Not that I'm complaining. They seemed to be leaning towards a Gojyo/Goku angle in this one. Well, nothing obvious, but more than they do in the anime series. It was surprisingly long, too. Full 90min. The animation was nice (thank goodness, cuz if they can't even afford that for the movie...). And the idea behind the villain surprised me. I had liked it because of that whole Sanzo-obsession =P(I can relate, buddy!). Hehehe, him trying to look like Gojyo XD. I could just run away with that one. And I know I wasn't the only one who noticed how SHORT lil Toga's robe was. >_< Ew, dude. What are they trying to imply?
Anyway, it was cool. And actually made me like the anime more. Was nice and bittersweet at the end without being too typical. And I like Sanzo even *more*! He was just great throughout the whole thing. =D Him just ruthlessly trying to shoot the hell out of Gojyo, real or not! HAhahaaha!
Ehhehehe ^^; Ooookies.
Have ppl seen Cloud in Kingdom Hearts? God, my friend showed me a pic(www.rpgamer.com/games/other/ps2/kinghearts/art/cloud-illustration.jpg)....he ATE Vincent!! Cloud ATE him! He just consumed him and mutated O_O. And then robbed Squall of his personality (www.rpgamer.com/games/other/ps2/kinghearts/art/cloud-character-sheet.jpg) *and* all his belts. The damn bastards. Why did they steal the other chara's attributes and give them all to him? That sucks. It makes them special. Now Cloud has them, so what does that leave Squall and Vince? =/ Merrrr. My friend is playing the game and he says Cloud and Squall pretty much swapped personalities. Aiy. Weird Disney stuff, too, so I shouldn't be surprised. Maleficent is in it! She is my hands down favorite Disney villain (yes, I actually have a favorite Disney villain). She's cooool.
Hmm, I'm on a roll.
Monday, September 9, 2002 04:13 a.m.
Result of being completely bored this weekend.
I'm listening to some Weiß mp3s...I don't like it.
Looking back at the previous entry, I realize I had unconciously used Saiyuki in context of shoujo anime. I guess I can't help but think of it as shoujo. Feels to me like they publish in a shounen magazine so they can draw in male readers in addition to the sure female audience. =/
I'm practically climbing walls from researching so many webhosts. I think I've finally narrowed it down to one I'll use. Which was neither of the ones I thought I'd use, of course. I'll most likely switch servers within the next week or so. I'm just so not feeling up to working on the site. Just want to sit here. Do nothing. Think about nothing. Well, nothing significant. I so need the calm.
Just keep to myself and what I like and what I want to do and I won't have to deal with unnecessary stress. I kind of miss the old days. When obsessions were simply my own. So much less to deal with. I'm actually rather grateful none of my friends really share my obsessions. Some like the stuff I do, but not the way I do. It would really just be too much. I like that when I'm out with them, I can take a break. Sure, once in a while they have to listen to my random comments and references to whatever-Gackt or however-Youji/Aya. But that's all they do, listen. And it's really a relief not having to expect a response. Seems weird when I say it, but I don't know how else to explain. I guess I just get too involved and I need people to pull me out to breathe sometimes.
Wow...were those actually dimensional feelings I just tried to write about? Wonder of wonders. Oh no the cynicism and sarcasm are creeping back. Have to go!
Oh, look.

Find out what anime series you belong in.

Why do so many shoujo anime series have so much BS?? So much crap dialogue stating the obvious (to show how clever they're supposed to be). Every character having to have their "cool" moments while other characters must stop and share their insights, revelations or whatever witty/cheezy comments on it, laced with their good guy brand of cockiness. >_< Ugh and the one-episode-villains who just gotta stop awed and swap wide-eyed comments.
ARgh. Must. Finish. Saiyuki. Season. Two. I *will*. I think I'm past the obligatory crap episode in the beginning.
One thing Saiyuki has going for it is that there is no annoying girl. Though there is an annoying Goku who is close. He's such a frudging cliche. Well, most charas are, but not as much as he is and I just hate his type(s). He's actually two different ones *combined* into ONE. One which is typically the over-excitable boy hero, and the other typically the genki girl of sunshine. He's lucky he's a kid and I can't develop any real animosity. And uh, an anime character.
Anime pisses me off.
(Can we say "grumpy"? *bitchbitchbitchbitchbitchbitch*)
Why do I even keep trying? Damn my brain. Oh right. So I don't miss stuff like Bloodlust. ::drools::
Oh yes, Sanzo is sexy.
Which reminds me. I forgot to mention a most disturbing thing I spotted while at the AXNY DR. There was a table with unofficial hentai anime parody/crossover DVDs for sale (Some may have heard of that Sailormoon/Dragonball thing). And on one of them, was...Sanzo. He was holding a topless gal and well...it was very very disturbing to see. It just seemed so wrong. ::shudder::

I am Gackt's depressed brown look! Which Gackt hairstyle are you most like?
yet another crazy Gackt quiz by mcvarmazi
If hair could talk, yours would be on Oprah, wailing, with a pile of used tissues at the side. Your bangs conceal your wistful and saddened eyes as much as possible, but there's no fooling us... you're sad and everyone knows it. Just fall down in the snow and get your angst over with already.
My god that's so fcuking hilarious!! I almost spit my cantaloupe out! That description sounds like Aya-hair. LOL!
Nothing lasts forever, because forever fades. (Though, on a vain note it looks like my beauty doesn't have an age limit.) Find out which J-rocker you are here by !! >D
=P
Anyway. So what's been up with me. Last weekend I did end up going to AXNY for two days. It was a few of my friends' first con so I had to be there for support. Unfortunately, they weren't there to stop me when I spent all my freaking money again. And there wasn't even any dj involved! DAmmit!
Before I go on about all the great and retarded purchases I made, I need to mention the most horrible thing that happened. I lost my precious Gackt bracelet. In the dealer's room, and according to a dealer, a kid had walked away with it. The staff helped me make an announcement and all, but no turn up. I stopped every kid I saw there like a crazy bitch. Sometimes twice, when I could no longer remember who I had and hadn't asked. I was very, very sad. Okay, I was devastated. I totally broke down and it's not something I like to think back on. The day was ruined, I couldn't even shop. And I think I really, really freaked Dave out.
But the next day was much better. I tried to forget about it, and as a result, spent all the friggin' money I said I couldn't spend. I bought a lot of Saiyuki posters for some reason. Stopped by Copic Marker to pick up a few things I absolutely could not afford, got a lil Malice Mizer tee =P (why the hell did I buy that?), a few Luna Sea seals, Saiyuki Reload 1 Sp. Ed. (Yay!! two Sanzos!), and a few other misc items. My stupidest purchase was a $35 Weiß Kreuz cloth pencil case. I had liked it because it's a large, flat pocket with smaller pockets for your pens and you then fold it into fours, held down by a strap...-_-, well it was black...and had the cute pj chibis on it...argh, yes I know I'm stupid and was totally ripped off. It was only 1200yen and the dude charged $35! Oh well, what's done it done. But the highlight of the con was the GREAT deal the guy from Sasuga gave me. Sold me 3 artbooks selling for over $100 at other tables for just $80! *And* he threw in the official Saiyuki poster and pack of G Fantasy trading cards I was going to purchase for free! ^o^ And I didn't even ask him to. Wasn't even trying to bargain to begin with! He was SO nice! Sweet Japanese man. I remember he was at Shoujocon, too and he and his co-worker were also really nice, catering to my picky poster selecting (still can't believe they didn't have one of Sanzo when they had one of Kougaiji =/). Now I have all the Backgammon books. =) And the card pack had a real spiffy Sanzo card inside. He really made me feel so much better. I wanted to go back there and give him a hug when I left. Though I'd trade it all back for my bracelet -_-.
Well, we spent most of our time in the DR. There was a gorgeous VHD: Bloodlust cel of D for sale. 12k baby. I was afraid to drool too close and kept my humble distance. I regret not picking up a movie poster. My friends each bought a Slayers DVD box set for $80 and had them signed by Slayers' writer and artist (their names escape me at the mo). I'm very glad I never watched Slayers, heh. The artist (who signed his name 'Tommy') was incredibly nice and did a line drawing for every fan that wanted one. And the line was damn long. First time I'd ever seen a Japanese guest do that.
The only other things we went to were the AMV contest and Cosplay contest. The AMVs were alright. There weren't many entries so no screening was done beforehand. I saw a few that were at SJcon, like "Shuichi's Question" (still kinda surprised that won 1st at sjcon, but I guess fanservice is fanservice) and that got a lot of laughs. And not a few "WTF?-laughs", most of the audience being male. VHD: Bloodlust amvs seem to love using Liberi Fatali and The Phantom of the Opera. Not that I'm complaining, I love all three. I personally loved "Once Upon a Hero" by DJ Fritz, Princess Mononoke amv. "West Side Bebop" was really well done as well, and won for comedy and overall.
The cosplay "Masquerade" was kinda cheezy at first, but got better later on. The MC had a tux on and gave a whole over-extravagant theme to it because the Mariott is on Broadway, which makes it a "Broadway Premiere", yes, very clever. They're all broadway stars now. So you can imagine how odd it was after all that fanfare to see a group of young boys dressed from Trigun amble onto the stage to do their skit. -_-
Anyway, most of the skits were mediocre. The few that really stood out were the ones that won of course. And those few also had the most amazing costumes. There was a hilarious FF7 skit. Apparently they didn't have a Cloud, and propped up a large portrait of him instead. Tifa and Aeris were fighting over Cloud and began lip-syncing to "The Boy Is Mine" when out of nowhere, Sephiroth dances a funky dance onto the stage, up to the big Cloud picture and starts molesting the hell out of it. The female percentage of the audience was *screaming* (I was too). You'd think it was Yaoi-con. ^^;; Even my male companions were cracking up. But the laughs stopped and they started hooting themselves when Tifa and Aeris started making out. Hehehe, it was an amusing skit. Something for everyone I guess. And the guy cosplaying Sephiroth made him seem quite demented. X)
I suppose overall, the cosplay was alright. The fact that our seats were shitty, might have had something to do with it, too.
I took a pic with a really great Cloud cosplay though. He was Asian and didn't have blonde hair, but he did the spikes rather well. The day before he had done an even better job at cosplaying Squall. I think my friend got a pic of that. There was an *incredible* cosplay of Jenova (FF7)! Won Best of Show of course. And Craftsmanship. And Individual. ^^ The eye on her mask glowed and everything! She won a 5-disc DVD player and 2 *Bloodlust* cels! Lucky girl.
Ohh, and I finally posted up a few pics from Shoujocon. Only a few had come out any good. Shoujocon 2002
I saw a lot of familiar faces from sjcon at axny. The Anthy cosplayer was one, a Youji cosplay who came as...someone else this time (I forget ^^;) was also there, and so was the Ranma cosplay MC from Sjcon. He was part of a pretty funny RPG parody. Ah well. I'm glad they had the con at NYC. Though I don't know if I should hope for this to be an annual thing. My bank account can't take the hit.
Bite me.
Wednesday, August 28, 2002 03:29 a.m.
Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me. Bite me.
. . .
I really, really want to draw Sanzo. He would be awesome to draw. But it requires so much effort. Because he looks so different. And it's gotta keep the Minekura style for it to still really look like him. Or at least keep what I like about him. I really, really want to draw Sanzo.
Why can't I draw Youji? The bastard is killing my patience. I can't ever draw his face right. He needs to be sexy, dammit.
I really, really want to draw Sanzo.
I'm having huge issues with body proportions and positions. I need to practice with guides. But I have no patience for it. Can't even hold a book open. How will I draw Sanzo??
I wish I lived in a land where I could find Aya and Sanzo doujinshi by going to the local store.
. . .Final Fantasy dj have many nicely drawn sex positions.
I think I'll talk about Shoujocon next post. If ever. So maybe I should mention things now instead. The highlights of the con were meeting Chalcedony Cross, Tpod, and PLNunn, increasing my collection of Pam prints and dj, picking up mediocre GojyoxSanzo dj and some nice Saiyuki posters, finding the actual promotional poster for Gackt's Mizerable 2/3 album, and finally finding the Youji mini-stamp set to go with the Aya set. Not that I'd ever use either. Everything (with the exception of Chal, Tpod, and PLNunn) is now safely wrapped and tucked away in plastic and board never to see the light of day again. So that's the end of that.
Something unbearably cute or disturbing. To add to the mix of the various Japanese and Korean mini-charas. Along with Sanrio and Morning Glory. We have San-x with such characters that include "Tissue San", "Pocket Tissue San", "Roll chan" (an actual roll of toilet paper), "Wet san" and a whole bunch of others I don't want to type out loud. I bet you're curious now. Or just thinking "Wtf?" San-x Click on Tissue San for descriptions of the new ones I've listed above. I'm scared.
I had never known Gackt was actually in MGS2. That explains all the promotion, don't it. I've made my friends swear not to kill him anymore and got the MGS2 promotional poster. Naked Gackt holding round baby. Damn cuties.
Oh, the 'bad' of the con. It was really fucking cold, spent a lot more money than I had planned on god knows what, the Fricking Pervert that sat next to me during cosplay and dared to put his hand on my knee, the same Fricking Pervert who all but harrassed Anomiko in the consuite earlier about her top (I did not know it was same Ficking Pervert until she told me), the bunch of trouble-making Abercrombie (sorry, Pete and innocent others) losers who harrassed some of the con attendees and was surprised they didn't come at us since we were sitting outside right by them (maybe my Big Purple Gackt Poster intimidated them), and it was really fucking cold.
My webhost sucks. I need a new one. Need good recs.
Why is Sanzo so damn sexy?
I need to find a Gojyo stamp to match my Sanzo one.
Gojyo is also a bitch to draw. Can't get his face right. What the hell is it with playboys?
There is Gojyo/Sanzo dj everywhere in the apt. Up the wazoo. I want more. I could just practice off of them. I wish someone would hold the book open for me.
My hair grows way too fast. The red streaks have one inch black roots already. But at least I got many compliments while it was good. I was practically ego tripping. I even flirt back. Sometimes. Now that I've done purple and red, what next year? Maybe platinum. Ouch. We'll see.
Anime Expo New York is this weekend. I should go. Always used to complain about cons being on the west. Now it's 15 minutes away. A couple of subway stops. And I don't go? I guess LG is never happy. And this could be the only year...hmm. Freaking locale is the Mariott in Times Square. How much is it setting them back?? Too bad most of the guests are Cowboy Bebop themed. I never did finish watching that (that and a hundred other anime). Won't know who I'm seeing and meeting.
They are going to show VHD:Bloodlust for the Big Apple Anime Fest at Virgin though. Yum. I should go watch that on the big screen. ::rolls around in D's cape some more::
Right.
I think I'm feeling a bit more balanced now.
Love and Peace. Jaaa....
