PoT
Monday, December 12, 2005 08:48 a.m.
Whoa, the Prince of Tennis manga looks WAAAAAY better than the animation. Slam Dunk was DAMN lucky to have what it had. It was animated pretty faithfully art style-wise, considering how much anatomical detail was in Inoue's drawings. Rare to see for such a long series.
PoT might have been more appealing to me if it was animated the way it looks in the manga. My brother's descriptions of the characters' physically outrageous "special moves" always make me laugh. XD I can't take it seriously. And how the HELL can they be JHS.
I did look at some dj though. I had to sample it after finding some scanlated Fuji Shinichi work (And I just love her YYH dj too much!). Twas very cute, or at least Fuji Shinichi's renditons of them were. And then I had to check out Kodaka Kazuma's and Yamada D Yonezoh's dj of the series. I mean, I just had to. >.> I like those two, also. And they were right there. And... they were all so cute. x_x I think I like almost all the pairings/characters Kodaka Kazuma likes to draw, with the exception of Oishi/Kikumaru, who don't interest me. But hard to be sure, since I'm just going by her own interpretations, heh. MomoRyo, FujiTezu, InuKai, Oshitari/Atobe, Ohtori/Shishido? (Man, it took me forever to get all that straight) From the few works I looked at, they all seem highly amusing. But then what the hell would I know. o_O Kaidoh, for one, looks/seems REALLY different dj-form than the glimpses I've seen of him in anime/manga-form. I wasn't even sure they were the same character. (a long while back, my brother had shown me a clip of this cat scene with him...)
Err, anyway, I'm going to finally finish Berserk. I MUST. I had stopped after firemen crushed half of the vhs copies I had several years ago. Then I'll finally get to see this mysterious ending everyone goes 'omgwth' over. Yep.
Oh, and I watched Petshop of Horrors some weeks ago. It was good. I may check out the manga.
Yep.

Looks like kasumi is moving from the Naruto fandom now. There's that... feeling again. (._.) She just got started with doujinshi, too...
Seems she's switching to FF7AC. (At least it's something I have some interest in) Her Sephiroth is very nice, naturally. But I already miss her Itachi... I think her's was the first Naruto fansite I ever visited and what had really propelled my obsession with Itachi forward. Can't stop sighing.
My favorite sites/artists are steadily disappearing. There's only a handful left I visit regularly.

Man, reading Boku no Koe was shibby. That Wataru freaking sucks (can we say 'snore'? Yes, I think we can) and so damn annoying, too. I keep reading for Kazama, I wanna see him get nailed, even if it is by Wataru. XP I'm such a sucker for the ones with da slanty, narrow eyes...
wtf am I posting so much so randomly?!

I had thought Boku no Koe was just gonna be another 'cool & distant guy pursues/tops insecure newbie' BL story, but it's looking like it's not! That makes it about 50x higher on my interest-o-meter and now I might actually read it closely and follow it a bit. The one with the nifty wardrobe... I really like looking at that guy's hair. It's like super-saiyan Gackt hair...
I should be working! Rah! ::bites self::

Dammit, I BOUGHT CHUNKY SOY BEAK MILK!
And that was all I was gonna say until someone's link reminded me of the Anne Rice thing. I won't comment much about it. I will say it's difficult for me to grasp and the feelings I'm getting are similar to those I got when my brother told me he was quitting RO.
wtf, LG?!

Well, I've just taken the first step and watched Final Fantasy VII Last Order. That's right, despite the fansub having been out for weeks now, I still have not watched Advent Children.
Just knowing it was out was just... too overwhelming. I mean, I wasn't ready! It made me so anxious, and I had been anticipating it so much. Now that it'd finally arrived, I didn't know what to do. ... Actually watch it? That seemed kind of drastic. o_o;
I've managed to avoid any detail about it whatsoever since its release. Have heard no spoilers or even let myself hear good/bad reviews. I have no idea what to expect, which is what I want. Clean slate, no opinions or hype to color my expectations beforehand (at least, not any more than what I've already developed myself from the trailers and my cynicism).
I guess I am gearing up to watch it soon... soon. ::sweat:: I actually didn't even mean to watch Last Order. I just suddenly got curious and wanted to see the animation style and ended up sitting through all of it. Besides, I need to burn these files already. Taking up too much hard drive space.
LO's animation wasn't too great. Could be worse though. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't expect much. I liked that there was so much of the Turks (and Seph). I did not like the liberties they took in changing details from the game storyline. Elena's supposed to be a newb at the start of FFVII. And there's Tseng... =). I can deal with Zack's hair being short. But Sephiroth's hair needed to be longer and more flowing!
Sephiroth was voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa. Teehee. X) Iwaki.
Well, I may post once I watch AC. Or, I may not. o_O; We shall see. But I'm sure I'll share at least some sort of opinion on it in some future post.
A friend has also held off on watching it, since he wishes to wait until he owns the official U.S. release. So I am not alone! He is quite a FFVII/Cloud fanatic. I swear he masturbates to Cloud. And wants to have all his babies. We've confronted him about this and he has not denied it! >O
o_o;
Sunday, September 25, 2005 10:36 a.m.
Wow, I had absolutely NO idea there were already so many yaoi manga titles released in the U.S... !! o_O; I can hardly believe it, really. I didn't even know there were any. The first I caught wind of was Haru Wo Daite Ita. -.-;; Talk about out of the loop.
Too bad all the yaoi manga I had gotten into no longer interest me; I would have so loved this market. I feel cheated.
And how am I gonna get rid of those old books now. >_< This is what procrastination gets you, you dumb bish.
I'd buy Zetsuai/Bronze in a second though.

OMG! Advent Children is out! OMG!! But no damned subs!!! @#$*&%#!

Hmm the main guy on Prison Break has a mouth and eye color combination that reminds me of Gackt. Of course I know Gackt's are contacts, but it's such an intense blue. Especially under the lighting used in the show. And there's something else about his face too. They constantly show shots of his face up close. It's nice. =)
fic funks
Tuesday, August 2, 2005 06:56 a.m.
So, 13x5 fics are not as easy to find as I'd thought. I recalled seeing the pairing mentioned often by fans in the past, but apparently that doesn't equate to much actual product. While it's not hard to locate a few here and there, there doesn't seem to be a solid number of them. Or maybe it's because I don't know my way around the fandom and don't know where to look. What makes it harder is that GW fics often include multiple pairings along with 13x5, and those pairings almost always seem to 'default' as 1x2 and/or 3x4. -_-
The most popular pairings in the GW fandom are
1x2 , 3x4
And naturally, *I* would have to prefer it
2x1 , 4x3
::slams head to desk::
Whhhhyyy...
I'm sure some of you might think there should be no difference. But, there is.
It's not just disinterest I have for those pairings/orders, it's dislike (1x2 especially). Having those pairings in any story I'm reading, even if it's as a secondary pairing, is a real mood killer. I get annoyed, skip scenes and paragraphs, sometimes even chapters. It's very hard for me to enjoy the story, and so, I just try to avoid stories with them entirely. Which leaves me with very little fic to read. =(
Bah! to fics with multiple yaoi pairings! Not EVERYONE's gotta be gay >_< ! [/tantrum]
(Watch a 1xR bite me in the ass for that)
That may also be a part of the appeal in 13x5 fics. They are more easily and commonly isolated from the other characters, and so writers aren't always prodded to address other possible pairs. With the exception of Zechs, but I don't mind him.
I often end up finding appeal in fic with rarer pairings like 6x1 or 2x5 since it breaks that 'default' pairing pattern. But those are really hard to find too...
I found a story with the pairings listed as '2x1, 4x3, and 6x5' and I think my eyes bugged out o_o. In all my fan years, I don't think I've ever seen a story with all those pairings, in that order, written together. It almost felt custom tailored to ME! But I haven't read it yet. Unfortunately, it's an old and unfinished fic and there isn't much of it up. It may just leave me wanting and depressed. (but hell, we all know I'm gonna go back to read it if I continue to fail finding fics to my taste) (or, knowing my luck, the author just doesn't use pairing order label rules and it's mislabeled -_-)
YYH fic was also kind of disappointing. I can hardly find any of the old stuff anymore. Dead links everywhere. Like visiting a ghost town. Took me hours just to find all of Katchan's "Promise". I wonder if I've found all her posted work. Really love her YYH fics.
I looked at some new sites and fics, but they seem kind of... weird, dunno. Maybe it's the fans wanting to come up with different ideas now, or maybe it's the new fans who follow YYH from Cartoon Network and so they perceive it differently. Either way, I can't seem to feel quite comfortable with it. Sometimes it's the characterization and behavior, sometimes the character relationships, the dynamic, and sometimes even basic background and setting facts. It feels... different. And in a "not right" sense. And I can't find much K/H. I thought it'd be everywhere! Oh well. It could be just me not knowing how to get around the fandom anymore. I'll probably try again and look deeper into it sometime.
And I'd forgotten how many fans seem to hate Mukuro. Dunno why. I like her, she seems cool to me. o_O Not ditzy, not annoying, not loud, not needy, not clingy, not immaturely pushy, and does not have a food fixation. Two thumbs up for Shizuru and Mukuro!

I think I'm developing an (extremely) unexpected interest for the Gundam Wing pairing of 13x5. o_o Which is (extremely) odd since I never really did/could get too into GW. While I had read several fics back then, I think the character chemistry just never worked out enough for me to pursue anything. But when I do read the occasional GW fic, I lean heavily towards a ?x1 pairing, have no doubt. I've read a bunch of 2x1 recently (being easier to find), though contained within only a few authors, which have been okay. The interest for 13x5 was triggered after checking out a short arc I stumbled upon while looking for good 2x1. Right now, I'm looking at a 6x1; 13x5 that looks promising. :3 Hmm. I don't expect my attention to GW to be a longlasting one, I think I recall feeling similar random spurts of interest in the past. But it does feel nice to be able to enjoy something 'new' that isn't too impossible to find.
Seems I'm deep into some phase of revisiting old interests. And with somewhat of a new perspective on them, since my thinking has changed since the 90's and my tastes have become so much more particular.
Currently <3ing Fuji Shinichi YYH doujinshi.
What's next, Dragon Ball Z? o_o Which actually isn't that improbable since my brother has readied a whole bunch of episodes I never got to watch when I was younger for me. Damn, that'd be so crazy. XD And kinda scary. But no matter how often people bash and criticize the series, I had really enjoyed it as a kid. It was often exciting and suspenseful, with its share of dramatic and moving moments, and every week I couldn't wait to go rent the next few videos in Chinatown, especially during the Freeza saga (hehe, Ginyu Team...). I like to watch fighting. Minus the 1837 epsisodes of dragging and powering up. Even my grandmother enjoyed watching it. I miss her. I'm gonna go find the "I Love Mr. Piccolo" song now.

I've been back on a Yu Yu Hakusho kick lately. After like 8 (9?) years, I finally got to see some episodes I'd never gotten a chance to. <3 <3 <3 Hiei. In fact, I think I love him even more this time around. He's such a cute little bastard. XD And when he's sleepingomgkawaii. Not to mention, the Kokuryuha pwnz the most and always will!
I'd forgotten how utterly all of Yusuke's fights bore me though. I can't pay attention to them. Kuwabara's fights are more interesting than Yusuke's. And again I think Kurama's character is given a cool setup and a lot of potential, but yet they make his fights kinda lame. Oh well, it's different, and I think that's what they wanted.
More YYH rambles next time.
Tuesday, May 3, 2005 04:26 a.m.
I used to eat those same candies in almost those same tins when I was younger. Red and white, with that same picture of the fruits.
I don't regret watching the film. Just in case I may have made it sound that way in the previous entry. I'm really glad I did.
Tuesday, May 3, 2005 03:40 a.m.
I just watched Grave of the Fireflies. And by myself, which has left me to be very depressed. It's the most tragic story, and knowing it would be, I don't know why I put myself through that. I had cried just reading a review for it. Honestly, I have no words. My eyes are so swollen from crying for so long and my chest kind of hurts. And I'm just exhausted from the crying. I want to go to bed, but I don't want those moments when I'm laying there in the dark consumed in the aftermath of this movie.
I have to get off this page too.
Saturday, April 30, 2005 04:04 a.m.
Just got back from watching Kung Fu Hustle. Was very cool and very funny. The theatre was pretty empty, but there were some dumbasses making fun of the language. Why the hell are they going to a Chinese flik then? And then there was that other group that kept having their own (loud) private conversation and private jokes laughing so fucking loud at all the wrong times and being so fucking annoying. Meh. Now very sleepy. Maybe I talk more about it next entry.
I am fucking STUPID
Tuesday, April 12, 2005 02:08 a.m.
I am so FUCKING RETARDED. I deleted all the pictures and videos of my brother's birthday from my camera's memory stick, thinking I had already copied them over to my hard drive. And of course, I hadn't. ARGH. I'm so fucking pissed. And I had deleted them to make room for pictures I was taking at the Beyond concert this weekend, who I'm not even a real fan of. Shit. SHIT. Fucking incompetence. Lost all the blooming flowers photos I had taken to use for art shit too. The flowers are fucking dead now, so everything's just spectacular. Complete moron.
O_O

OHMYGODBLESSYOUYANAGOYA
You MUST look at it full view. MUST! That leather is like WOW.
I am just amazed. And nosebleeding rather badly. I can't stop staring. I <3 the title. They each need to be jumped immediately! That tattoo is so fucking hot!! And... all... those... straps!!! ::passes out::
Still Nuttin' out yet D=
Friday, March 4, 2005 03:28 a.m.
I've been waiting to hear more from that violin-hip hop duo, Nuttin' But Stringz. Agh... their new single won't be out until April. And no album until the summer?! >__<
I always loved the classical/rock hybrid thing, especially with violins. Yes, I listen to Vanessa Mae, too o_O. But NBS's sound has really rubbed off well on me, also. They sound really cool. Broken Sorrow <3. I wanna hear more. D= I need new music.
I haven't checked in on Sugizo for a while. Maybe he's got something...
Devil May Cry 3?
Friday, March 4, 2005 02:49 a.m.
I just saw a commercial for it on television. Does Dante have a southern accent? That's really... um... hmm. Failed.
asdgfdkj!
Tuesday, February 15, 2005 09:17 a.m.
I was just shown this: euRO screen capture
That has got to be one of the saddest things I've ever seen from the game X_X. Made even sadder by that lone line at the bottom, "You got Worm Peeling 1."
I cry for you, wizzie. I really do. Despite your 99-l337ness.
Uh, for those who don't play =P and wondering wtf this has to do with anything, an item that lands on the portal like that is irretrievable. And Golden Thiefbug Card is one of the rarest things a player can possibly get in-game. My brother tells me the last one that was on market in iRO sold for one billion zeny. Which I find very hard to believe... one billion??... but you get the point.
Well, I personally don't think I could handle that kind of devastation. I'd destroy my account (and probably my computer) and quit forever. XD
Tip for the next lucky/unlucky pixel person who finds themselves in this nightmare of a scenario: You have 60 seconds. Run and find a thiefbug asap, whack it, run back and into the portal. Come back in, destroy everything in sight. And pray you were alone. XD
Happy New Lunar Year~
Sunday, February 13, 2005 04:19 a.m.
New Year's been pretty good. Though seeing multi-colored confetti on the sidewalks rather than red firecracker paper seems very off. People have been generous. o_O; I should be able to buy some of the new stuff I've been meaning to get for my computer for a while now. Like a DVD burner and another hard drive. I've absolutely NO more free memory on my HD. I can't even run Photoshop anymore. x_x;; Just hope my schizo comp doesn't blow up when I try to add something new. It's reeeeally touchy when it comes having hardware installed. So I'd really rather have all my stuff backed up before installing anything at all. In which the DVD burner would come in really handy. But I'd need to install it first. Which poses a dilemma, doesn't it...
Not-so-Inner LG: OMGWTF get yourself a damn tablet you dumb bich!! %#&!@#$*! ToT
I finally watched Hero recently. The Chinese flik with Jet Li. It wasn't what I had been expecting at all! Very interesting concept. I don't think the flow of the fight scenes were that great, but everything was still very nice visually. And definitely a movie I'll watch again to better interpret things. Seems each color/retelling represented different aspects of human nature. Very classic Chinese storytelling. I've also always liked Maggie Cheung.
What's really messed up though, is the cover of the DVD for US release. It's *only* of Jet Li and Zhang Zi Yi, they edited out everyone else! Zhang Zi Yi is only a supporting role! Fuuuucked uup! They made it look like she's the main female character, and everyone else only appears on the back cover. It's obviously done to attract the US audience since Jet Li and Zhang Zi Yi are the only big names here. But it's just so wrong. Disrespectful and also misleading. Just like how Quentin Tarantino's name, and only his name, appears on the cover. You don't see the actual director's name (Zhang Yi Mou) anywhere other than that production staff listing thing on the bottom of the back cover that no one can ever read anyway. To the uninformed, which is pretty much anyone, me included, it leads one to believe the movie was made by Tarantino. Just wrong, wrong, wrong... I haven't seen US promotional ads for it, so can't say if its the same way there.
I also watched Blood: The Last Vampire a few months back. I have the manga, but the movie doesn't explain anything at all. o_O It's more like an OVA. Anyhow, Saya is totally the kind of character I go for. To the extreme. Wooow XD. She rocks. I should try to find that music video of it I saw at a con a few years back.
Hmmm... I've gotten some new Saiyuki doujinshi recently, and one of them is "Puchi-San" by Angel Night (I really like this circle). The story is... interesting o.O; and I felt the need to share it. Not that I could understand everything really. But from what I could see, the story seems to go like this:
Gojyo & Sanzo are already in a relationship. Sanzo and Hakkai have to leave for a little while (dunno where/why), and Hakkai leaves Gojyo a small box and a note. I reeeally wish I could understand what the note said, as I'm pretty sure it would explain the 'mechanics' behind this story XP. Anyhow, inside the box is a *mini* Sanzo. Very mini. It's only about half a foot tall. And it's wearing this poofy dress/apron thing that's just the cutest thing ever. XD Why? I've no idea. Well, after Gojyo's initial freak-out over mini-Sanzo, they get along okay, and the situation is all just too cute. When they go to sleep, mini-Sanzo is adorable on its makeshift bed/pillow. It's even got its own lil mini-blanket. And not long after settling in, Gojyo proceeds to molest the hell out of it -_-;. It's some rather bizarre kink. x_x;; Well, seems there's some kind of bond/connection between mini-Sanzo and the real Sanzo and so the real Sanzo is suffering from the "effects" of their activities, whereever he is, hehe. The next(?) morning, Gojyo and mini-Sanzo are chatting together. At this time, real Sanzo returns, really pissed off. And immediately shoots and hits the mini-Sanzo off Gojyo's arm. And it's gone. Blown away. I was *SHOCKED*. It was SO CRUEL! ;_; Completely unprepared because it was completely unexpected. Even though of course Sanzo would do something like this, but the bullet actually hit and "killed" it instantly, in a story that's so far been only humorous and light-hearted. I wish I could describe the shock on Gojyo's face. A complete 180. Having ice water dumped over you after you come out of a sauna. Omg. -_-
Well, after mini-Sanzo is annihilated, you see its remains, which is a broken cigarette with some writing/markings on it. It was very depressing. The scene jumps forward to what I assume is later in the day (or next day?), the four of them just chilling in the room, pretty normal. But you see Gojyo sitting backwards on a chair, back to us, just staring out the window =*(. Then Sanzo silently gets up from reading his paper, walks up to Gojyo... and drops another mini-Sanzo onto his shoulder! Aaaww! ^o^ Though this one is just wearing the monk robes, no apron XD, hehehe. Gojyo immediately glomps it in joy. I'm not sure what's going on afterwards, but seems multiple mini-Sanzos have spawned. o_O At least two, possibly three. Not sure if the one peeking out from Goku's shirt is the same one Gojyo had glomped. The other one is just wearing a tiny, short robe (like the one the antagonist wore in the Requiem movie during his time as an acolyte at the temple). It then says, at Gojyo's inquiry, that it's not wearing anything under it. And Gojyo promptly passes out from a nosebleed. XD And so the story ends, happily, if pervertedly.
Some seriously weird shit, yeah? LOL. I wish I knew what was going on better. How exactly are the mini-Sanzos made? I still feel really sad for mini-apron-Sanzo though ::sniff::. Dammit, I want one, too >_<. I hope the circle decides to do another book for it.
Angel Night's style seems to be changing again though. Doesn't look too good, imo. Mainly noticed in a few panels of Sanzo in the newest book. =(
In NARUTO circles, Sai no Kandume's style has reeeally changed, too. The characters had looked better back then, but I guess her current style is alright. Much longer faces, mainly in the doujinshi art, but they're older so it's all good. Still love it. Want... more... books...
Oh btw, I guess I should mention here, I put up a new picture at Nocturne a few weeks back to celebrate 100k hits. =D Another kittens pic, but with more charas. Mah, so behind.
Cyu next time for more randomness.
FF7 revisited
Friday, January 28, 2005 11:22 p.m.
I'm well into FF7 now. I'd forgotten many parts of it, so it's almost like playing a new game.
I'm breeding chocobos right now, and being a dork, I named my first pair Sendoh and Rukawa (In hindsight, Akira and Kaede would have sounded cuter). XP I also named the river chocobo, Gojyo, and the mountain chocobo, Sanzo. My black river/mountain chocobo is named Aya! So you can guess what I named her mate, hehe. Now to wait for Aya to mature a little bit for breeding and I'll have my gold chocobo (Sasuke!). Yupyup, I had it all planned out. Dorkiness to the extreme. Too bad I'm short one stable and needed to let one go. So I released both Sendoh and Rukawa, so that they could be together and make their own adventures~
Oh yeah, Aya also doesn't like me, lol. What a surprise. Guess it'll take a lil bit more persuasion. But she's reeally intelligent so I guess it doesn't really matter.
I just gave Vincent Chaos, to which he responded, "I'm getting less human..." Way to make me feel guilty. >_<
I've always preferred Aeris over Tifa. After a while, I had forgotten why and just assumed I didn't like Tifa mostly because I thought Aeris was better for Cloud and she was competition. But playing this all again, I don't think that's it >_>. I don't like her for more than that. It does have to do with how she behaves around/treats Cloud, but then again, that's pretty much all her character is about, isn't it. I guess the biggest peeve was how she was trying to keep Cloud in the dark about his identity. I don't understand why she did that. The only reason I can come up with is that it was for her own sake and her own comfort (cuz for some reason unknown to me, she's now entirely dependent on him). She didn't know the truth, only suspected something was wrong, so why didn't she ask Cloud? And the way she kept trying to prevent him from thinking about it... it just came off negative to me. She said she needed more time when Cloud asked her. I mean, wtf? It's his crisis, and *she* needs more time?? I guess it wouldn't bother me so much if it didn't seem like Tifa is supposed to be the Perfect Heroine & Example of the Female Gender with the way fans go on and the role the game writers had given her. And she wasn't close with Cloud when they were children so she doesn't even fit into the "childhood friend" destined-love-plot. What *is* with her obsession with him? O_o Just makes her unappealing. On a more superficial perspective (or is it?), I could also make jabs at her clothes, but I've decided I don't have to. Besides, Aeris wears pink.
As for why I do like Aeris, I still don't quite know. I don't like everything about her, but she's still okay with me. Maybe it's because she died? I cried like a baby the first time and did it again this time around -_-;, so it made me miss her a lot. But I don't think it's just that... I guess because she always kind of "knew things" with that "wisdom of the Ancients" vibe about her. And only seemed to do the outgoing/flirty thing intentionally to break tension and stress. She didn't seem truly focused on stuff like that, and saw the bigger picture. I guess it gave her a certain maturity I liked. (What I don't like is her voice in AC >_<)
Cloud doesn't rock either, but as far as heros usually go in my book, he doesn't do badly.
I still really <3 Red XIII and Vincent. (and Sephiroth!!! but that goes without saying)
And was very sad again when Tseng died. I always found his supposed "crush" on Aeris odd, but interesting. It must have been complicated.
I had forgotten that Cid looks sooo funny when he runs. Which reminds me, is Shera "all there"? I hadn't realized how completely messed up in the head she had to be, with how she stayed in the engine area to double/triple check those oxygen tanks when the launch was about to burn her to a crisp. WTF is the matter with her?? She just figured Cid would be okay with continuing the launch that would kill her? It's not like she was trapped. All she had to do was leave the area! It seemed so unbelievably outrageous, she either has to be mentally challenged or it was intentional and sabotage. The latter is an interesting idea...
One thing about the storyline/plot that's confused me so far (lol just one?!). Why did Cloud's party want to keep the Huge materia out of Shinra's hands? Shinra wanted it so they could try to destroy the meteor. Is that... bad? Uhh... ¬_¬; And I don't remember Cloud and co. having a plan of their own that involved the materia or destroying the meteor. So I'm thinking they're just doing it because they hate Shinra for being evil and shouldn't be allowed any kind of advantage, even if that advantage would be used to save the planet...
Well, back to the game. What new things will I rediscover next?
2004 wrapped up
Thursday, January 6, 2005 10:35 p.m.
Wow, almost the entire year's entries on just one page. x_x;
A recap of my 2004 (at least pertaining to what I usually blog about... which isn't much, is it?):
I've really fallen behind on NARUTO. Partly because someone had spoiled something for me, which had me really upset. But mostly because I don't want to deal with plot focus on Naruto. Almost everyone else would be fine, but not him, no thanks.
Gackt... eh. To be honest, he hasn't really been on my immediate radar lately. I still love his music, but I've pretty much kept myself in the dark with everything else. It's too much to keep up with (and not just financially). And I'm not really into what he does outside his music anyway. I think it was a lost cause once he was a regular on Morning Musume.
I still miss Luna Sea. Terribly.
There isn't much new music I listen to anymore.
Built hype for Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children.
Played new (or old) games like Suikoden, FFTactics, Castlevania, and SSX. Returned to RagOnline.
Broke record for least amount of drawing done annually (at least within the last 5 years or so). Or was that 2003?
Site? What site? I have a site? ::confused::
Hmm... not very productive, huh?
~*~*~
Tentative/hopeful activity for 2005:
Replaying of FF7. (probably the most immediate item on the list)
Play some other games that have been tickling at me.
Catch up on NARUTO. Too many files accumulating and collecting dust. It seems everyone and their mother follows this series now.
More Sasuke fanart. And maybe Itachi, too... if only he'd stop intimidating me with his ungodly beauty! And Kasumi-san's perfect renditions of him aren't helping either. T_T (I can't wait to get her book! She's finally publishing offset stuff!)
A webpage for my NARUTO fanstuff has been building at the back of my head for a while now, and with the new domain, I may actually get around to setting it up soon.
Maybe pick up on Saiyuki again. Maybe. (maahh, who am I kidding)
Setting up a photo or oekaki diary. But probably won't work out.
Finally sell some of my excess doujinshi and J-magazines.
Update Nocturne in some shape or form. =X (The Links page is in dire need of one)
And of course, plenty of criticizing, bitching, and ranting. Wouldn't want to disappoint all of you. XP
With the exception of that last one, it's very possible that I will end up doing a completely new list of things, with none of them being these. Ah well, but this is what's on my mind at the moment.
Happy New Year, guys!
