"Who Knew" by Pink is a good song for PoT fic. Like, for Kaidoh, probably. If it were InuKai angst. ;_; But I can't decide if he'd be the type to be optimistic about this sort of thing. Depends on the circumstances I suppose.
I like Pink's singing voice.

Omg, my favorite won! I was expecting Joanie to win, so I actually got a little teary-eyed when Danielle won. Joanie's cool too, but I really like Danielle. Especially what I saw of her personality and her attitude towards things. I think what she had said about that day they had to massage and pamper Nnenna and Jade really won me over; how she knew she could have made a better effort at it and regrets not having done that. Her attitude about a lot of the challenges and obstacles was really cool. And of course, she looks hella good in a photo. Yay!

I love Scrubs. I really, really do. It's right up there with Conan. =)
Prisonbreak gives me high anxiety. I missed yesterday's episode. =(
Like Prisonbreak, no matter what or how many episodes I miss, catching any random episode of Lost can always snare me in.
Should I consider it a guilty pleasure to enjoy watching America's Next Top Model? =( It interests me to see the transition faces and makeup can make through film. Especially, how photoshoots are carried out, its different themes, and the end results in the photos. For me, I guess it's not too different than appreciating the design of an advertisement. But maybe that's actually where the wrongness lies...? o_O
Wow, four different networks! I don't think I've ever followed anything on more than two at a time, not counting afternoon cartoons of the old. Especially not in recent years. I guess this is what happens when television just sucks so badly everywhere that you're constantly flipping through channels.

hehehehe...
It was funny since I had reacted to the scenes just the way they'd expected. XP
Also The Wicked.
My brain just went fishing after level 35. -_-

One of the guilds on iRO Chaos has a picture of Atobe as their emblem. The guild's not even at least named after him like the Hilary Duff Fanclub or anything either. Or even PoT related. o_O That's so.... weird.
Yesterday, a quarter-Chinese 4 year old girl mistook me as her Chinese cousin. T_T Even though it was explained that I wasn't. Cuz you know, all Asians look alike.

Agh, why did I watch that documentary on the Donner party. I didn't have enough to eat today, am feeling weak and lightheaded, and now the mere thought of ingesting food makes me nauseous. >_<
There was stuff I was gonna say for these past few weeks, but I can't remember all of it anymore.
I finally switched to a bigger hard drive. Norton Ghost is a wonderful, wonderful program. But I still have problems unpacking large zip/rar files. CRC errors every time. WTF is wrong >_<. And why do people have to zip video files? It's just one file, dammit, and it ain't compressing shit.
The heating in my apt is insane. It's like 60 degrees outside and the heat just keeps coming on and I'm baked in here. Gas is expensive! Don't they care? Rah.
On PoT music, Ryoma's SR album is very... upbeat. He/She and Tezuka sound so good together o.o. You'd think they'd planned this... And his song, "Tonde! Mawatte! Mata raishuu" with Kikumaru is funny; Kikumaru interrupting and making sleepy/grumpy Echizen sing with more spirit, CUTE!! Nyan nyan nyan nyan nyan, Hoi hoi hoi... Of course I could never imagine canon-series-Ryoma actually singing like this.
The Invitational tournament arc, by the way, is super fucking stupid. It's brought my ep watching to a grinding halt. For several weeks now, I think. I'll probably post more commentary about it later on when I decide to finish it. I will need to finish, since it will get me to ep 163.
It's made the Prince of Tennis musicals start to look appealing.

I've just finished reading a fanfic that I've been following for quite a while. The final chapter was posted a few days ago after its start back in October 2004. "Freeport" by Maldoror, Gundam Wing, can be found at www.gwaddiction.com. If for some reason, you read GW and haven't read this story yet... ya should read it. Hell, even if you don't know GW, you should read it. Seriously.
I don't think I rec fics often. In fact, I don't think I have ever done so on this blog. o_O; Well, I just finished reading it, and I'm in that kind of mental state. It's not even so much that I love Gundam Wing or anything, but that the story is just really good. It's not often I will continually check back for a new chapter of a story for so long of a time, and for a fandom I don't obsess over. It's actually the suspense and intrigue of the plot and characters that bring me back, not so much fan-ish incentive (of course, I don't hate the characters or pairing either, so that helps a lot, too).
Cuz the plot is like... dude. The setting is like... whoa. The characterizations... nice. The detail's like... 'am I still sitting in front of my computer at home'?
I went to school so I could be articulate like that. -.-; Well, I suppose the best word to insert to describe each of those elements is "involved".
But yeah, it's very impressive story writing for a fanfic, at least, from my point of view. I'm very saddened that it's ended. So now I let Tezuka's singing soothe me.
But then, of course, the Ai no Kusabi theme comes on while I'm typing and I'm all sad again.

I think Atobe/Ryoma fans refer to their pair as the "Royal Pair". So what would Sanada/Ryoma be called? The "Imperial Pair"? Despite all of Atobe's "Ore-sama" business, I think the one Konomi intended to be matched with royalty was Sanada. He is called "Emperor", afterall, while Ryoma is the "Prince". He even wears a black cap to Ryoma's white one! Not that it matters I guess, since no one ever writes Sanada/Ryoma anyway... ::sniff-fiddles::
But motha$#&^$@^ I want Sanada/Tezuka the most. I imagine them retiring early and moving out to live in the suburbs or countryside together, spending their quiet days sharing tea. One practices calligraphy while the other reads, or kendo while the other feeds and observes the koi at the pond... hee. ::smacks self in the face a few times::
::doesn't work::
... Meanwhile, on the other side of Japan, Akutsu's completely corrupted Echizen (or maybe it's the other way around), and lives off Ryoma's tennis success as his bodyguard, all the while beating/threatening off Atobe and his relentless attempts at wooing Ryoma. Every other weekend, Echizen calls his buchou to update him on the details of his colorful life. Sometimes, he sends a postcard, too. The weekends in between, Tezuka receives Atobe's indignant reports over the phone and is lectured for allowing his protege to be around such an uncouth, violent, street ruffian. Every weekend, Sanada prepares the necessary, calming tea for Tezuka.
After retiring from the tennis circuit, Inui (retired trainer) and Kaidoh (retired player) open and run a veterinary clinic together. Karupin is placed in their care whenever Echizen is competing abroad. Kaidoh and Akutsu get along and become friends after Kaidoh sees that Akutsu handles Karupin well.
Udon-style instant noodles taste so much better than the usual kind.

I noticed that, for three months, Tezuka and Atobe had each released 3 character singles on the same days as each other. Maybe directed at or in answer to each other? Kinda interesting. Maybe like Ryoma and Tezuka's two songs, "Free as a bird ~Return to T~" and "Shinkokyuu ~Dedicate to E~". I still wow at that. Stating it right in the title... and in such a secret-note-code way, too.
I still haven't gotten around to sampling Atobe's songs though. I'm too caught up in Tezuka's singing, lol. "ever" and "Since Last Goodbye" are so nice.
Dir en grey is having a concert in NYC on the 21st, wth? LOL. Ah well, it's all sold out. I would have checked it out. If I'm this behind on news, I worry it'll kill me when/if a band I loved scheduled a performance here and I was too late.
ETA: LOL, I'm watching a repeat of Conan, where Triumph visits Chinatown for Chinese New Year. One of my mom's friends is in it! Lmao, I can't wait to tell her and have her not get wtf I'm talking about.
dude

The newest tenipuri vocal group will be called GIGS... and consist of Tezuka, Sanada, Atobe, and Ryoma. All my favorites in one combination o_o (With the exception of Kaidoh, but that's okay because his place is with Inui, anyway). That's so... heehee... hehe.. hehehEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAA! And here I just was pining and lamenting over them. How rarely do things work out this way?!
I'm so glad I ventured into PoT just in time to be able to experience this elation. ^____^v
WAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!

Back when I was just starting to get to know Prince of Tennis, I had read this fic in which Tezuka sings to Gackt's "Vanilla."
I... totally get it now.
Tezuka's album, "With", is a lot better than I was expecting. And omg, "Kimi wo Sagashiteta" is SO cute. It just reinforces the fact that Tezuka needs to be seriously molested, very, very badly.
Wednesday, March 1, 2006 07:25 a.m.
Wow, singing Tezuka is... nice... *_* "White Message" na?
And goddamn, the TezuRyo fics I've been reading are good. o_O That's the sort of pairing I expect fandom to butcher. Or maybe old fandom. Or maybe it is butchered and I've just been lucky and haven't seen it; I've only read a few authors. Or maybe it's just different with the fandom for the newer series. This new LJ-generation fandom (I got a similar feeling with NARUTO). But then not all pairings have produced good fic. And stories are much shorter. But much are at least decent. Well, I've played it safe, only bothered to read ones that were written or recced by authors I already enjoyed for other pairings. TezuRyo isn't one I actively seek out usually, but when I did read it, it's like, niiice. I am amazed at how many pairings I can enjoy in this series. o_O
But why is it that there's SanaAto and AtoTezu, but not SanaTezu? (._.) I don't like SanaAto.

ep 144 - NOOOOOOOooOOoOOOoOOO!! WTF!! Akutsu's playing a match against that over-obsessed-wannabe-poser?! You GO Ryoma! Reclaim your rightful position as Akutsu's One True Opponent!! NO one should be allowed to drive a tennis ball into Akutsu's wicked face except Ryoma, dammit! Raahhh, I'm so pissed. Dan's a fucking retard, btw.
But yes, Ryoma takes up Akutsu's fallen racket. Tis black and sexy. Now beat that blond loser down, plz.
Tezuka, this is all your fault! How don't matter. ::sends him off to be spanked by Atobe, then comforted by Sanada::
Motherf@$!#%^@#@*&($!
I need to be appeased with some Akutsu/Ryoma, I think. Tragically, chances of finding that are slim to none.
ETA:
ep 145 - Hmm, Akutsu says something *very* curious... "As usual, you're doing the 'honor student' act." And that's addressed to Tezuka. As usual?? Does this mean Akutsu has observed or interacted with Tezuka in a capacity other than the Yamabuki/Seigaku matches? I don't recall Tezuka ever even speaking to Akutsu (or did he? gotta check), or even saying much at all during those matches... Curious, curious.
Aaw, Echizen switched to his own racket. C'mon though, he's the guy who was able to play with an old, broken racket. =( Ah well, at least he tried.
HOLY MOTHER OF!!!!! HE HIT HIM. Tezuka HIT him. OMG!!! I was feeding myself a piece of orange while it happened and it fell back out in SHOCK. I AM SHOCKED. WHat the HELLZ GOIN oN HERe!? Akutsu must be to blame!!! His bad influence on Tezuka during their secret off-screen affairs!!!! ToT
Akutsu should be mad now, cuz he should be the only one to beat up Ryoma.
And now there's no match. Grrrr... ::ships Tezuka off for double punishment:: I hope Akutsu beat the shit out of Kevin after they left.
Looks like Sanada should be pissed at Tezuka for dropping Ryoma from the invitational team, too. ::hands him the paddle::
TOO late for Kevin's sad, childhood story to work on me.
Hmm, and Ryoma didn't care to play against Kevin until he heard Akutsu was playing him. Hehehhe. ::is shot for her delusional mind:: Yes, yes, misdirected frustration, I know, I know.
So, Ryoma is a substitute. Then I guess it's time to have Akutsu pull a Tonya Harding for him, hm?
My entries are so disjointed because I'm typing out thoughts as they occur while watching the ep. o_O; Since I got no one to talk about it with. =(
ETA2:
ep 147 preview - Omg, Atobe and Sanada are playing DOUBLES?! What a total WASTE. I guess this is the series' way of making it challenging for the Japan team so we can be entertained and not confused when the Japan Singles don't kick ass. Exchanging the greater upset for the lesser, I suppose. But goddamn, the illogic! Why would a team not have Sanada as singles. WHY. WHHHHYYYY. Singles 3 - Sanada, Singles 2 - Echizen, Doubles 1 - Oshitari-Fuji. There you go, three wins, game over, please insert coin, U.S. team. And even if the U.S. team weren't so easily beaten, that line up is certainly better chances than Atobe and Sanada as DOUBLES 2. Aaagghh, damn you, anime politics. ::brain explodes::
Ryoma tossing his cap at the television in answer to the challenge struck me as so uncharacteristic.

ep 140-141 - Atobe and Sanada duel for Tezuka's love!! \(^O^)/ Ganbatte~
Ryoma looks amused and entertained. I love Ryoma. Ryoma, please convince Tezuka to accept their courtship; only you can do it.
(How can there NOT be more fanwork about these three?!)
The singing had me laughing all over my desk.
HOLY... Atobe says "Naa, Kabaji?" EVEN WHEN HE'S NOT THERE. That is SEVERELY disturbing.
Poor Kabaji though, playing so far away without Atobe there to snap his fingers for him.
The 'Kikumaru's Summer Vacation' ep was actually entertaining. And his voice seems to be back to more tolerable levels, thank goodness.
ETA: I see a lot of this 'OT5' combination of Atobe, Fuji, Ryoma, Sanada, and Tezuka in fanstuff though. I can understand four of them, but I don't really see how Fuji was included in there. And to be honest, I had liked Fuji more when I knew him only in fandom. He's just not that appealing seen in the anime. He's fun to use as a plot-device, but I'm getting less interested in seeing him featured in pairings, fics and such. That's an unfortunate direction for me, with him being so popular... >_<

ep 131 - OMFG, they have to be kidding me. That tennis trainer quit the pros because of some teenage-level grief from her peers?? Geez, that's so fucking stupid. What is this lame Sakura-caliber scenario? JHS boy players confront obstacles like getting maliciously beat down and injured on/off courts on top of mental anguish, but overcome. The grown woman, however, gets picked on with some nasty words and pranks, and it's "poor thing, that's so cruel and painful, no wonder she quit" ?!?! All of them find this acceptable/understandable?? This actually evokes sympathy from them?? What fucking lame bullshit. "Oh, noo, they don't liiike me. *sob*quits*" Boo fucking hoo. Even I, who don't usually bother with girl-power mentality, am appalled by how sexist this was. I am so disappointed with the people who thought this demeaning story up. In-character Ryoma should to be laughing his ass off inside at what a weak and pathetic excuse of a player she has to be. The hilarious thing is that they make her come off as a strong female type, too! How can this be the same series that has a woman like Ryuuzaki-sensei?? Fucking animators...

ep 123 - Ah, so Inui and Kaidoh are now officially engaged.
ep 126 - I don't know why, but the utter shoujo-ness of Yukimura and his scenario is making me nauseous.
It's so amazing how quickly people are able to show up at the court for Ryoma's match, coming all the way from home. Atobe just cracks me up. Wasn't he there observing from the beginning of the matches in the manga? I wonder why the anime changes these details. Are they trying to promote some Atobe/Ryoma vibe or something? o_O
But then nothing is funnier than watching the special 'figurative' effects of Ryoma's Cyclone Smash.
I think my crush on Sanada makes me actually want Ryoma to lose this one. In all honesty though, Ryoma really shouldn't be allowed to win this one anyway.
ep 127 - So what if Ryoma can play with his eyes closed? Yanagi does it.
ep 128 - It's amusing that subs truly are necessary for Ryoma's English. XD
Thanks to my extra excellent (not really) spoiler-dodging skills, I already know the result of the game, which sucks. I don't really know what the big deal is for Sanada. I can understand about the personal pride thing, but win or lose, Rikkai can still compete in the Nationals and still win there, so no promises broken, no worries. Naa, Kabaji?
Okay, the usage of *everyone's* special move like that is pretty cheezy.
Man, Sanada having to stand by himself like that must feel very awkward. So who got third place?
I wonder what Akutsu/Ryoma would be like? =P
Thursday, February 23, 2006 05:02 a.m.
I'm debating on whether or not to go to the Nitta Youka book-signing at Kino on Friday. I was upset at having missed the Kodaka Kazuma signing, but her work was a bigger deal to me. I only really like one series by Nitta... mehh >_> And then I'd be tempted to buy a copy of the ewBeBeautiful release. She's going to be at the Comic-con, too, which surprised me. But I guess it makes sense if she's coming all this way.
I was trying to look up some stuff in the PoT manga, and daaaaamn is it different than the anime. It's like *crazy* different. The anime even changes which characters match up with which opponents. I'll have to read through the entire manga properly some time.
I'm up to ep 112 now. It's like the seiyuu is working hard to make Kikumaru's voice even more annoying. He's extending the whine in his speech, maybe not even breathing through his nose at all anymore, to the point where I hear it in my head even when I'm not watching or even thinking about it. It's driving me insane. Especially in these camp episodes where he talks so freaking often. OMG >_<. I'm really trying not to hate him. I really am. He's pretty out of the way, in that he doesn't interfere too much with the characters I like, and is mostly paired with Oishi. I think I could deal with him, but OMGPLEASESHUTUP. At least they acknowledge that Kikumaru is annoying, when he complained about Kabaji imitating him. This must have been like how Ryoma was feeling while listening to Aoi in the anime. I really liked the dialogue they gave him in those scenes, lol. "Let's be... a little more quiet..." Hehehehe.
Momoshiro sounds like a retard with how he says "Doohn~" after every successful Dunk Smash. But then I think about it and it's actually very characteristic of a JHS kid. Well, more like elementary schooler, but oh well, it's Momo. (But then... they CAN'T be JHS. They just CAN'T.)
Rikkaidai looks so badass. And it's like, to show just how badass they're supposed to be, Rikkai gets to be drawn in their original manga-style art. XP I'm certain I'm not the only one who noticed the art difference of the observing rival-team members during the Atobe/Tezuka match.
And omg AKUTSU. ::fangirl love:: It struck me as kinda OOC, from what we know of him, to go help Ryoma like that, but ah well. WE GOT TO SEE HIM PLAY AGAIN! And he always gets the cool bgm playing ^ ^. Itanji and Mission; to me, those tracks are officially Akutsu's Theme Music since the first time you ever hear it, it's for him.

I-illogical...
ETA: HAHAHAHAHA!! WOOOW, Ohtori and Shishido get their own SONG playing during their secluded-area-night-time practice/bonding. They're really laying on the fan-service. Some fans are right. It's like the anime is adjusted and appended to according to how the fanbase responds to the series and characters. Screw the manga, apparently.
Man, I just saw that part and just had to make mention of it. That reminds me of the Fuji/Tezuka fan beliefs... that I've yet to see alluded to in the anime. >.> Even if I do like the idea of Fuji/Tezuka, I really don't see how it can be labelled as one of the 'given' pairings... At least, not as strongly as others. There seems to be a whole lot more potential shown for Fuji/Kawamura, imo. I remember reading somewhere that there are major 'hints' at the end of the series, but then, it just seems even more apparent that it was only added to appease the already existing FujiTezuka fanbase, right? o_O Which kind of makes it less cool than if it were done without that prompting.
While so far, I don't believe the pairing's hype, I still enjoy the idea of Fuji/Tezuka. I could see Fuji as the type that *would* see Tezuka as this sort of challenge, and doing something about it. But I certainly don't see any reciprocation on Tezuka's part without a LOT of effort on Fuji's part. And I mean a LOT. Fans compare Tezuka to toast, right? All he shows any passion for is tennis, being team-pillar, and grooming future-team-pillar (TezuRyo? I could see it. But with greater initiative on Ryoma's part. RyoTezu :D). So it definitely wouldn't be convincing to me if it wasn't Fuji/Tezuka, in that order. Frankly, I don't see Tezuka as being the aggressor in ANY pairing. *Maybe* the initiator for like tea or something, depending on who it is (someone reserved like he is - Kaidoh, Sanada, Tachibana, etc). I found some good Tachibana/Tezuka. It was unexpectedly appealing. And Inui/Tezuka is just hilarious, so much fun just to think about. Yeah, I really like the phonecalling thing. XP Goddamn, Inui's so great.
And goddamn, how'd I go from making an edit to rambling all that. Back to business.
ETA:
ep 116 - I wasn't sure I was watching a shounen series anymore...
Sanada and Tezuka should totally go out.
ep 117 - HERO OF SMALL FURRED ANIMALS. KAIDOH KAORU. <3

Afflicted by the cuteness of some of the dj I mentioned in a previous post, it started out as just downloading particular bundles so that I could watch the independent "chibi episodes" of Prince of Tennis and some other specific eps. I think this is the first series in which I was actually more interested in the filler than the actual story o_O. The first chibi ep was, in fact, very cute, but I wasn't too impressed by the ones after; maybe I had to know the series better to appreciate it. The bowling was amusing though; My first time seeing the real characters in action. But of course, one thing lead to another and in some instances, made me curious to see the previewed next episodes. So I download the next bundle. The chibi eps were all over the place so I was watching random things all out of order. And so, what the hell, I decided to just watch the series properly from the beginning. Note, that I am normally never this receptive and this is unusual behavior. But once in a while I'm in an open-minded mood and will start a series this way.
And indeed, one must push the Suspension of Disbelief to new levels when watching Prince of Tennis tennis. It's SUPER-HUMAN TENNIS. If Clark Kent and Peter Parker decided to have a game of tennis, it would be this kind of tennis, and Bruce Banner would play the winner. But yeah, once you get your SoD comfortable, it's enjoyable enough. I've watched up to ep 89, at the moment.
The characters really carry the series. I can see why it's so intensely commercialized and 76,924 sets of plushes were made for it. I luuuuvvv Ryoma. He's an awesome, awesome little BASTARD. He never stops being adorable. Finger-binoculars!!! ::dies:: But, dude, Kaidoh. I LOVE KAIDOH. XD XD XD. Probably because he doesn't get as much attention, and that makes me more excited over him whenever they show him. He's a giant snake plushie. But damn, the series abuses him so much off-court, and on-court they rough him up so badly in his matches, you'd think he was playing soccer than tennis; Bodily crashing and sliding all over the court. x_X; ::wipes the constant dirt off his face for him:: And INUI... oh, what can I say. The series would probably be 30.8% less interesting without him. I wonder if there is an Inui/Fear Factor fic out there.
I also like Tezuka. And Atobe. And Shinji. And Kawamura's Engrish is great-o. And how Fuji is with his brother amuses me to no end. And... on-court Akutsu is COOL. I am SO sad he stopped playing. Akutsu is... thrilling! My extra usage of HTML tags is indicative of my sincerity. I want more Akutsu!! (chibi-Akutsu was great) It would have been interesting to see how others would have handled playing him, like Atobe/Hyotei or some other good player/team. But at the same time, it's kind of cool that Ryoma was the only one who got to. That Taichi Dan, though, is really fucking irritating. He's the only character I seriously hate so far, as in, all the time. Everything he does or says annoys me. So that episode where he injects himself into Seigaku's practice pissed me off. This fucking girl is more annoying than Ryoma's other two fangirls. At least we got to hear more about Akutsu in that ep. While I was checking my burns, I caught sight of him appearing again in one of the later eps, so I'm looking forward to that. ^_^
Golden Pair matches are boring. Early on, they would only bother to show bits of it (as if they thought so, too) and it was still hard to sit through. I noticed Kikumaru's character was introduced as more mellow in the beginning. Later, he becomes childish and whiny with weird "nya nya"'s and "hoi hoi"'s. That reminds me of sitcoms, and how the characters become more extreme and defining with quirks as the show becomes popular. Except with Kikumaru, it was kind of weird and unexpected, from how he's seen in the first eps. And Oishi's character is too... good for me to accept anywhere past 'tolerate.'
While I like his character all right off-court, Momoshiro's tennis play is boring, too. >_> And I think it's BS that he beat Sengoku. Compensating for his deficiencies as a stand-out player maybe. Whenever it's a GP or Momo match, I find myself constantly urging the episode and match to end already, staring at the elapsed video time. But I guess how much I like the player affects my interest level. But Momo's tennis really is boring! >_< Except when he's doubled with Ryoma. Cuz then you got, you know, RYOMA.
One Ryoma match did bore me though and that was the one vs Shinjou Reiji. In fact, that entire sub-arc with Jousei Shounan was weird and off. I kept getting the feeling like I was watching an OVA for the series. Which, I guess, is true in a way, since I read they didn't play this school in the original manga storyline. The Inui-Momoshiro doubles match was like nothing more than a re-scripted version of the Inui-Kaidoh/Ohtori-Shishido match. And dude, Wakato Hiroshi. WTH. What a jackass, LMAO. "CHANGE-OVER!!" It made me think that's how Youji might be written in a WK fic if the author didn't like him. XP But it was actually the most interesting of the Jousei matches. Or that just might be my Kaidoh-bias talking.
And I realized, it's recently that the art of the manga looks so good, compared to how it was in the early chapters. I saw some raw scans of chapter 300 and dang, that's hot. Atobe, especially.
It's funny how I feel about Atobe. As I suspected from looking at Kodaka Kazuma's dj before I started the series, I do enjoy the idea of Oshitari/Atobe. But now that I've watched some of the series, I find I really like Atobe/Tezuka, too. That's rare for me with a character, pairing order-wise. But the other day, I found some scans of a cute doujinshi about "The Little Atobes" and it describes the different faces of Atobe, in the form of little chibis inside his head, each one taking the reigns for different situations. And I think that explains how I'm capable of liking both pairings pretty well. There's Captain Atobe, whom I imagine Oshitari would be confront with, and then there's Flashy Atobe, whom Tezuka would be 'subjected' to, heh. So depending on which Atobe we're dealing with and with what kind of counter-part, my preferences for him change...
Man, I'm dying to watch episode 163!! Kaidooohhh! But I'm also disappointed that they ended the anime so early, and also inserted their own ending. And from what I've heard, it is NOT an ending I like. >:( But I've already downloaded all the current manga, so I guess it can stay alive for me there. But I really hate having to follow action/sports in manga, even if it is the original form.
Chibi-baby-Kaidoh is like the cutest thing EVER. Surpassed only by Baby/Toddler-Sasuke. I watch the Tenipuri Family ep over and over just for that baby hiss. Baby-Kaidoh w/pacifier, on tricycle... kittens... omg... >_< ::dies from overload:: I love looking at chibi-Ryoma too. His eyes are sooo cute. They are round and adorable and still sharp and clever. But the bestest moment had to be chibi-Ryoma when he lost that point to chibi-Fuji and reacting from Inui's emo-juice. That was just... priceless.
Yes, indeed, I've fully succumbed to the crack of PoT.

I'm gonna do a meme! One I found on a livejournal I was reading SameIta fiction on (that's right, and what, bishes). But since I have no real form of communication between other bloggers, I'm just gonna propose the series I feel like answering for myself.
Tell me of a fandom you know I know of and I'll tell you:
1. The first character I first fell in love with:
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't:
4. The character I love that everyone else hates:
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer:
6. The character I would shag anytime:
7. The character I'd want to be like:
8. The character I'd slap:
9. A pairing that I love:
10. A pairing that I despise:
I usually have multiple answers to these, but they only ask for one, so, my responses are far from comprehensive. My loves and hates abound and all. But you knew that.
Okay, so here we go.
LG: NARUTO!
1. The first character I first fell in love with: Itachi
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Sasuke
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Naruto
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: ... Sasuke?
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: None as of the moment.
6. The character I would shag anytime: Err...hrmm. I dunno. Kakashi? o.O Wait! Came back to change this one: Genma!!
7. The character I'd want to be like: Kakashi! ...hm, wait. ::looks back at #6:: Okay, nvm, too much angst anyways. Shikamaru. He's gotta be like, everyone's answer.
8. The character I'd slap: One would guess Naruto for me, but that requires physical contact and some interaction, and so, no. Sakura. (I so wanted to say Iruka, but then I remembered, he's not supposed to matter)
9. A pairing that I love: Kakashi/Itachi (yeh! crack!)
10. A pairing that I despise: Kakashi/Iruka
LG: Weiß Kreuz!
1. The first character I first fell in love with: Aya/Abyssinian
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Uh, Aya/Abyssinian x_x;;
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Ken
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: This is a tough one. I don't think there are many WK charas a lot of people hate (and that I *love*). Well, the only one I *love* is Aya, and there are those out there that hate him, so I guess he'll have to be my answer again.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Schuldig (fan+ficdom kinda killed him for me. I still like him sometimes though) Farfarello has replaced him.
6. The character I would shag anytime: None >.>
7. The character I'd want to be like: Since they all have issues, I'm taking that out of the equation. Crawford, I think. (cuz my laziness is not cool)
8. The character I'd slap: Ooh o.O. Hmm. Sakura (anyone else notice the trend I have with Sakura's?)
9. A pairing that I love: XD ... Youji/Aya, my blog noobs.
10. A pairing that I despise: Aya/Ken. I don't even like the idea that I just typed it out and into my blog.
LG: Hmm... Slam Dunk
1. The first character I first fell in love with: Sendoh
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Rukawa
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Hmm. Kogure
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Akagi. No one hates him (that I know of), but he has very few fans. =(
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Well, I never *loved* Sakuragi, but I like him a lot less now.
6. The character I would shag anytime: Sendoh!!!
7. The character I'd want to be like: Akagi! The dude is my idol.
8. The character I'd slap: Sakuragi, I guess. (But more like Haruko towards the end of the animated series =P)
9. A pairing that I love: Sendoh/Rukawa
10. A pairing that I despise: Rukawa/Sakuragi
LG: Yuu Yuu Hakusho
1. The first character I first fell in love with: Kurama
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Hiei (though I wouldn't say *never* expected to...)
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Yusuke?
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Mukuro
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Kurama
6. The character I would shag anytime: =/ ... ... I'll come back to this one. (5 min later) Koenma, adult-sized.
7. The character I'd want to be like: Genkai, minus angst =(
8. The character I'd slap: Yusuke
9. A pairing that I love: No love, but I like Kurama/Hiei.
10. A pairing that I despise: ... I'd actually have to say Hiei x Kurama, in some instances. Or Hiei/Kuwabara, if it were on the map. *snorts*
LG: Final Fantasy VII
1. The first character I first fell in love with: Sephiroth
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I don't love her, but I never expected to even like Aeris, so she seems like a good answer.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Tifa
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: LOL, I want to say Aeris again, but I don't love her either.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: N/A
6. The character I would shag anytime: Sephiroth
7. The character I'd want to be like: Red XIII
8. The character I'd slap: Tifa
9. A pairing that I love: Cid/Vincent, I guess. I would say Someone/Sephiroth, but I really don't have a specific someone. o_O;
10. A pairing that I despise: Don't really hate any. But if I had to choose, it would be the crack pairing of Vincent/Yuffie. Or rather, it *should* be a crack pairing, and yet it moderately exists...
All right, I think that's wasted more than enough time. Back to Harvest Moon! (Itachi has laid 6 golden eggs! I love my Itachi. He's a chicken, you see. Sasuke's only laid 3. He is also a chicken. And Obito - 1. Figures. Failed. I knew making him was a mistake)
