On a side note, I got a really, really terrible headache tonight randomly. A lot of things perpetuated it, but it got really bad. I felt sick. And I had to drive an hour back to Athens. Thank God for advil sometimes. And good friends, too, who go and get the advil for you. Ruhi, you're my savior.

I was just noticing how many of my friends in Georgia have just recently started weblogs/diaries. Seth, Armon, and now Ezra. Way to go, gentlemen! And, might I add, Ezra is on Pitas which is the best. :) The only problem is, he doesn't seem to have me linked. Hm...

Wow. Reading those last couple entries would make me seem like an angry person, eh? I'm really not...but world events and injustices really interest me (and sometimes infuriate me..). I exercize to get all those frustrations out.
On the other hand, my art has really taken an interesting turn. My illustrations are getting pretty darn weird. I'll have to scan some in and post them. I've also realized, finally, that my new design/arches site isn't going anywhere. I think I'm just going to put my portfolio up and let that be that. Go check out the work that I did do. I'm just not excited about it anymore. I need to do something more "me."

I might sound like a broken record to many of you, but I don't think Americans fully realize the terrible tests that people live through every day. Go read this article at cnn and look through the pictures they have. CNN has to edit so much film they get...I have friends at cnn who edit out UNSPEAKABLE things (I say that because I've seen it) from footage that is brought in from places like the middle east, Africa, India...all over. If you pray, pray for the Israelis and Palestinians. They believe in the same God! God save them. There is one picture in this bunch of that is the body of one of the 2 slain Israeli soldiers being dropped from a 2nd story window, only to have his dead body beaten by Palestinians. And can you imagine trying to dodge fucking ROCKET BLASTS to go to school or work or the store???? This is not fair!

You guys, I've been chillin' with Anita Kunz for the past couple of days and she is really cool!!!! I believe in women so much, and to see a woman (anyone really...but a woman especially) in the field of illustration battling unfair contracts from these publishing giants by herself without a rep or legal aid is just incredible. Our advanced illustration class all had dinner together last night downtown and we had the BEST time! We talked about everything...mostly about social issues such as how race affects everything, and about women's role in upholding society, injustice, etc.. These conversations follow me around I am finding, but talking with a woman who is THERE is so inspiring! I know I have talked about all these things with my peers, or grown men, and I don't think many people quite understand what I'm talking about, or what it's like. But she was right there with me. I feel like I can do anything right now. I really want to do something with these feelings I'm having...I'm putting them into my art and it's looking good. I'm putting them into my conversations and it feels good. I want to do more though. I'm getting ideas...more to come...

Someone remind me not to bid on this.
09:47 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2000
Go check out Madonna's fully released site. The design is nice, and she's got full song samples from her new album. Instead of tempting people to go over to Napster, she's just handing it over. The thing is, I STILL WANT the album (even though I can get the music for free). Maybe I'm an exception.
09:20 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2000
Uh, oh, Phishfans! The band has apparently broken up. This is all from excite.com's entertainment news which tends to be a little on the tabloidish side, so I don't know if they are just taking a little break or what. Sorry MRM.
08:32 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2000
Anita Kunz, the acclaimed illustrator, is coming to UGA tomorrow to chill with the graphic design department. Check out her website, she has some amazing work. If you all have any questions you want me to ask her just im me (aim: azariana1) or email me.

I hate sitting here at work wondering if my car will be towed or not. I got a ticket last week, so I fear the boot may be in my future...as I parked somewhat not legally this morning. But, thanks to the lovely parking services website, rest assured that I have 7 full days to pay that ticket, and my car will not get the boot unless I have 3 unpaid tickets. Shew. I'm relieved. Can I just say that I can't think of a more "disliked" department of this university than Parking (dis)Services?

Scaarrryyyy...

I really made the screenshot part of the nav. Go see what I'm working on.
11:40 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2000
Wow. Everyone go read Rachel's entry over in her new space @ mtsu. I think that's the best entry of hers I've ever read.
And in case you haven't heard, Jack's back. Maybe you all will think this is funny, but the kid in Almost Famous I envisioned as a young Jack Saturn. Anyone else feel that way?
11:10 p.m., Sunday, October 8, 2000
I just got back from Tennessee a little while ago. The 5 hour drive each way gave me ample time to reflect on life right now, so that was nice...but what I was really noticing was how incredibly beautiful the scenery is. At night. The drive seemed to go faster in the dark, and I felt more alert. And let's admit, Atlanta folks, I-285 DEFINETLY looks better in the dark. All this and the combination that it is extremely cold and crisp...everything was clearer. So I enjoyed my drive. It's one of the few times I haven't minded driving through north Georgia to get to Tennessee.
I was able to spend some much-needed time with my parents, my brother, our (once-little) cat Swimmy, and my 3 grandparents. We watched Georgia kick the hell out of Tennessee in football, so that was kindof fun. I don't even like football, but that was fun. Heh.
And I saw Almost Famous. I really liked it. My review of it though, is that there are some movies like Braveheart or the Gladiator which you KNOW are going to be good before you even go, and the budget is so huge it will be hard not to like. And then there are films like "Scary Movie" which you KNOW are going to be horrible (but yet still, somehow manage to attend..). But Almost Famous was riiight there in the middle. It was fresh. It feels like fall. It seemed real and I liked that. And that's all.
10:42 p.m., Sunday, October 8, 2000
Well, I can't seem to get this silly splash page working for me. I have the whole new site all cut up and everything, coded, ready to go...just darn this splash page to heck. The design is killing me. Argh. You designers know what I'm talking about: you can't will something into working as a good design. Even though you really want it too. I'll have to to it next week.
02:17 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2000
I want to add a new section to laceydotpitas. It's called the screen shot of the day.
08:37 a.m., Friday, October 6, 2000
Well folks...I'm going home to Tennessee this weekend. You see, UGA plays UT here at home. I'm not gonna get any work done because of all the drunk people and traffic (not to mention I'M A TENNESSEEAN), so versus barracading myself in my apartment, I'm leaving town. Darn football...argh...
09:01 a.m., Friday, October 6, 2000
Man, not having TV I miss out on stuff. Everybody keeps talking about Almost Famous. I just saw the trailer this morning, and I think I have to see this. Looks great, eh? Check out the official site to top it off. Link via yewknee.
08:26 a.m., Friday, October 6, 2000
Doh! No more cheap groceries and gasoline for me. Priceline has apparently stopped offering these two services. Oh well..it was nice while it lasted.
07:47 p.m., Thursday, October 5, 2000
I made the school paper!!! There was a campus foum on race last night (diversity has been a really hot topic around UGA lately) that I attended. I spoke to the panel..I don't know exactly what possessed me to do it, to speak about racism in front of all these people...but I did it. This is what the newspaper said: Lacey Graves, a senior from Suwanee, said the University and Athens are not representational in their monority makeup. "This shakes me to the very core," she said. "We need to step outside our comfort levels."
Cool! It was also really neat because I got to mention the Baha'i Faith to all these people. I am so excited!
09:05 a.m., Thursday, October 5, 2000
Isn't it interesting that the vice presidential debates will be held in Danville, KY? Why there? I saw the famous potter Paul Soldner do a demo and lecture there when I attended Western Kentucky University a few years ago. It's a very small town...in the middle of the country really...I think that's kinda cool that they have it in such a far-off place. I would be interested to know why.
10:02 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2000
I just requested an absentee ballot from rockthevote.com. I hope everyone is planning on voting.
08:50 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2000
How did Caffemocha get to be SO COOL??!?!?!??! They redesigned and it looks really incredible. The flash splash is great, and inside the site they have a beat selector with not three or four beats to choose from, but 13 or 14. How cool. Oh, and I'm linked there, too. I'll have to get them to fix my link, as it points to pitas.com for some reason.
08:09 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2000
My friend Seth has a new website where he talks about his "sparkling witticisms, my thoughtful musings, my penetrating insights..." (excerpt from an email he sent me). He paid me to link to him. That's all.
09:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2000
Looks like Miriam is having an interesting life right now :) I hesitate to speak of anything like that on the internet, but it makes for GREAT drama in her case. I love it! So MRM, even if the special forces have to wait, it is still all so thrilling! I get excited just reading about it! The danger! The mystery! Oooh...I can't wait to see how it turns out..
08:57 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2000
I think it's funny how this dumb pc here at work tries to act like it can handle so much. "Yeah, I'm a PC and, yeah I can stream a little ol' quicktime movie becuase you know, I'm on a t-1 server. Bleh bleh bleeehh." When in actuality it CAN'T stream it because it's so friggen slow and to make it all worse it doesn't even have a decent version of quicktime. Har. I think that Macintoshes are far superior machines. The just handle media better. This is my experience.
08:44 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2000
Pretty. So, my roommate and her boyfriend are back together after 2 weeks of being a bit scared to let her out of the house for fear of what rebound she would reap. *deep breath* I think this is going to be the random log. Squeak. Anyways I called Subinev's radio show tonight in New York to request some Self and he had already played two songs. But I got to hear a voice from the internet so that was cool. I hope he didn't play any songs for me that were scary. You know what I mean.
11:28 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2000
My car is fixed. I'm not eating meat. I'm feeling great. I'm doing some of the best designs of my life. God is truly trying to make up for this really crappy past week.
01:15 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2000
Surfstation.lu has a great splash up now. I like them.
Just a little while ago I thought my computer was crashing..hardcore crashing. I guess I was wrong. It was weird though because I was almost hoping it would for some reason. Very odd.
11:58 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2000
Go here if you wanna see some KICK ASS graffiti. Yeah.
09:11 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2000
I like dobi.nu. Very entertaining. He's as much of a spaz as me, except HE goes to RISD.
As for my last entry, I don't really know what to follow it up with. I'm moving into action now. I can't stomach meat right now, but I am not calling myself a vegetarian. I am just doing what I can at this point. I hope I made some sense to someone out there with all of that. It's really important to me. So anyways, thanks for reading it, I'm happier now.
11:03 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2000
Okay, I'm ready to talk now.
The past week or so I have been repeatedly hit in the face over and over again with the atrocities that human beings are capable of. There is such a lack of understanding and love in this world that it is purely by the mercy of God that we are able to pull through. You can argue with me all you want, but now that I know the facts, you can't budge me when I say that white people in America benefit everyday by discrimination against black people. I go to the University of Georgia, and this is how it works: there are 36,000 people that go here, and only 7% are black. Athens is a very diverse town though...there is a lot of public housing...there is no "rich" area of this place. Except for the nice apartments that somehow we as students can afford to live in. So pretty much, Athens is one big ghetto with a really nice university in the middle of it. There might not be many people of color here in school, but there certainly isn't a shortage of them cleaning up the buildings, that's for sure. Something is terribly, terribly wrong in this country. Recently here, a girl was denied from Alpha Gamma Delta sorority's rush because she was black. That's all there is to it. And she stood up for what she believed in and told the school paper, and the greek board, and the sorority was suspended. It has caused so much argument here over if that was really the cause or not it makes me SICK. And you know what? The sorority is off suspension already. I bet if it had been the opposite, a white person denied rush from an african-american greek organization, that club would be good as GONE, because no one here at this white university has any tolerance for racism. Right? Nice punishment..all of two weeks out of rotation for that sorority.
It goes on though, it's all over the place. I visited CNN.com today to learn more about that Greek ferry that sank on the 26th, and you know there wasn't ONE headline on the front page? Not even a follow up? Not even a LINK! 50 people died and not even a link! I had to do a search, and still no definative answers. I was listening to NPR this morning, and I heard about this coal mine explosion in China that killed 155 people...and it's not even on the headlines! I also had to scroll down far to find that. 155 people is a LOT. Down there also was a nice commentary on the terrible atrocities that people in Columbia live with every day, and all I can think about is how easy it is to forget all this stuff here. All I have to do is go to CNN, the largest news reporter in the US, and look at the headlines and the things that matter most aren't even there. But I can find out who's winning in the election polls, or what event the US is winning in Sydney, or how to get more drugs for my ageing parents. Good grief, where does it all end?
I am a member of the Baha'i Faith. I believe in justice above all things. Why is there such a lack of it? Why is there such a lack of understanding...or how about even wanting to understand? It breaks my heart to see these things happen and have no one even care to read about it. How much effort is it to read about something?
If you wanna read, go to farm sanctuary and read about where your food comes from, or look at the art of Sue Coe. It takes two seconds to learn the truth. I'm really upset right now.
09:53 a.m., Thursday, September 28, 2000
Ooo, I can trace my Irish ancestry. Too bad I don't know the names of any of my ancestors, or I could do a detailed search.

In my business, I forgot to mention that Tiffany just turned 22 on the 26th. Go to her site and give her lots of hits.
08:48 a.m., Thursday, September 28, 2000
I have had a really bad day.
FIRST, my car wouldn't start at 7:30 this morning. Later, I bombed a test. Then after that, I went running, only to find that one of my knees causes excruciating pain when run upon. Hmph. And, just to make it all bad, I got my credit card bill.
Car stuff is so funny though because everyone thinks they know what the solution is. Don't get me wrong, I know very little about cars, and I am extremely grateful for the advice. But it's funny how every person I've talked to has told me "exactly what's wrong" with my car (without seeing..or in this case, hearing my car). I've personally made the decision to take the battery out of my car, take it somewhere, probably get a new one, take that one home, and put it in. I hope to goodness I don't have to have it towed off somewhere. Sheesh. I seriously have NO money. Like, NONE. I'm cruising my way through my senior year right now. All I need are some more expenses. My dad once told me, "Life's a bitch, and then you die." Sometimes I actually believe that.
12:07 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2000
Ooooooooooooooooooo...
09:03 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2000
This thing about the Greek ship sinking is horrible. Apparently, many children died. I'm a little confused as to why so many...I'm sure their parents (if they were on board..) would not abandon their children like that. Even animals about to be slaughtered thrown themselves over their offspring, for goodness sake. Also, why did this ship crash into a well-known rock which has a warning light visible for seven miles. Something veeerrrry strange is going on here...and there are a lot of dead children...sorry to be so morbid, but this is weird.
08:45 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2000
You know, I should be studying for my test, or working on the two store identities due tomorrow, or doing the 12 drawings I JUST FOUND OUT are due tomorrow, or doing something productive, but what am I doing? Downloading mp3s, looking at flash sites...argh. But I'll log what I've been doing anyways. I listened to a lot of the Machina II album by The Smashing Pumpkins. It is alriiiiiiight, but since they were ripped from vinyl, the quality isn't all that great. I also managed to download some live Orbital stuff thanks to the free mp3 section of excite.com. They were cool. Not much to say about that. ANYWAYS, big news folks: *I* was linked on CAFFEMOCHA.COM! You all know I am IN love with that site, so be reciprocated was really, really, REALLY cool. Thanks so much. When I saw that the folks in the lab thought I was having some kind of medical emergency. Haha.
On to the cool sites: Michael has a cool new splash with some phat (pronounced P-hat) drum n' bass action. He's getting a theme down. Also found today was a cool design firm in SanFran called Oven Digital. Their site is really fun. They designed this hiphop site called hookt.com, and they've got some cool navigation and music...only problem is that with all looped music: you eventually have to turn it off. But the site is cool and easy to look at and flip through. Go for it.
09:22 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2000
Hi y'all...
I'm SO INCREDIBLY busy this week...well, after my American Art History test Wednesday I'll be able to say everything I need to say about this past AMAZING weekend, and about whatever else. I think I'm going to try and have a webcam night on Thursday night here, providing I can get the code to work. I also have some new designs all made up for my main page, which is gonna turn into my portfolio site. So, that's that. OH yeah, sign my guestbook. :)
05:58 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2000
I forgot to tell the world that I will be graduating from the University of Georgia with a BFA in Graphic Design in the summer of 2001. Thank you, thank you...
09:41 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2000
Oh my...what happened to Subinev?

08:16 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2000
After many tries, and about 3 hours, I can't get the cam to work yet. You know why? Because I'm on a Mac. If I were on a PC, you all would be viewing the graphics department in all its splendour right now. So I'm using Oculus (too tired to supply a link..), not webcam 32 or whatever. Greeat. If anyone can help me, please do.
08:08 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2000
Took some digiphotos yesterday. The first one is of me and Sania, the next is of Elizabeth and Ashley outside @ graphics.

01:43 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2000
After I wrote that last entry I went on a mouse crusade and I've decided I need one of these. A nice mac mouse with A SCROLLER!! I could go into an internet coma with a scroller.
09:22 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2000
People usually laugh at me for using a Mac. I don't care, I like them. And these are also people who are not graphic designers. ANYWAYS, I finally have my first grievance with these lovely machines. It's called THE HOCKEY PUCK MOUSE. For the past two days I have had this achiness in my right hand (my mouse hand). And Dear God I hope I'm not getting some crazy carpel tunnel. I use a computer for a good 4 hours a day MINIMUM, and they are always macs..with the round, which-way-is-up-mouse, too. It COULD be that I'm not getting enough sleep, and thus the weird achiness...but I don't know. I'm a little concerned. Maybe I should get my own mouse and take it around with me. Is that EXTREMELY NERDY or what??? But I guess it's kindof like wearing earplugs at concerts...people always kindof chuckle and chide about wearing those big things in your ears (they look silly or something), but when you are 80 and hearing fine and they all need hearing aids, who's on top? Well, this is what I think about at 9am. And my hand still is achy.
08:52 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2000
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! Mental.nu is gone! NO! The guy that owned it took it down...it was so gritty and beautiful and...waah... But he's sending all the visitors over to surfstation.lu, which is cool in kindof the same way mental.nu was. I just have to say that even though he might need to be reinspired (and thus take down mental.nu), I was inspired by what he had at mental.nu. So, mental.nu guy, if it makes you feel any better, I really liked your site. There.
But for real, Errol is his name and he's about 5 years younger than me and blowing me out of the water. And most of the people I know as well. Damn. Some may not agree with me on that one but I know it. I sent him an email of protest. We'll see what he says. Be sure and check out his old personal site in the meantime.
11:32 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2000
Yep, Rachel logged it, the East Coast Girl logged it, now I must log it, because I think it's the funniest commercial of all time.
08:47 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2000
The splash at caffemocha says "supa flexin'." How cool.
07:59 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2000
It's official: I listen to country music...ALOT. It started as just once or twice in the car, but here I am at home typing away, with "I'm trying to get over you" by what sounds like Vince Gill playing. This morning I listened to Dixie Chicks, running this afternoon it was Martina McBride...it's not just a temporary thing. I never thought it would happen to me.
On a completely unrelated note, everyone needs to go buy stuff at priceline.com. My roomate and I save a whole lot (about 10-15$ each time) at the grocery store, and lately I've been buying gasoline from them. Last time I saved $2.50 on a tank of gas. At least go check it out if you're skeptical. It really works, and it's really easy. Happy bidding!
07:28 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2000
Alriiiiight...so I'm checking my stats for laceydotpitas, come to find out that yesterday I had 50 freakin' hits (up from the normal 12-25). That's unreal. Hope it stays that way :)
So last night I was up FOREVER working on that cdrom project (which still has yet to be uploaded as of 9:45am...). I would have been up longer than forever if my roommate hadn't called me at the computer lab, hysterical, with something that sounded like "Blake cut his pinky off!" Of course, she was saying, "Blake and I broke up," not the pinky thing...but from the way she said it someone could have been trying to kill her at the time. Needless to say, she scared me to death and I went home immediately, only to find that she was fine. I mean, I'm glad she is fine, but I am just a little confused. Huh? What happened? Where's the hysterics? Oh well, I'm gonna say no more.
09:42 a.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2000
I swear, I log into AIM and all of a sudden I'm terribly distracted. Sheesh...
But my friend Armon has his very own website now. Cool! And he even has a kick-bass picture.
07:34 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2000
Well here I am again at graphics, making some MAD headway on our cdrom presentation and paper for tomorrow. Go check out our website. Sofar the layout is just up (and it looks kinda cool), but pretty soon the paper's gonna be there. I know EVERYONE wants to read it, too. Whee!
06:17 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2000
Reading my daily dose of weblogs, I finally got around to reading apathy.nu. Boy, lemme tell ya, I HAVE BEEN where that girl is right now. If I could offer her any advice at all, it would be to just chill in college for a little while and a lot of that solves itself. I feel so wise. Go see what I'm talking about.
01:29 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2000
Wow. What a beautiful poem.
08:34 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2000
Hey, go find out what flavor you are. I'm blueberry. Whatever that means.
AAAHAHAHAHA everyone should go see goateestyle's joe-tee section. It's OH so funny to see guys posing for the cam. Then to make it even funnier, he adds the "evil goatee" section where there are scary pictures of celebrities with goatees, such as James VanDerBeek and Britney Spears. Kudos to Ryan for amusing me at 9am.
08:05 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2000
This was Sania and I last night. Whee-hoo! And this is the beautiful present that Cheryl gave to me. This is the quote it has on it:
Bestir yourselves that the brief moments that are still yours may not be dissipated and lost. Even as the swiftness of lightning your days shall pass and your bodies shall be laid to rest beneath a canopy of dust. What can ye then achieve? How can ye atone for your past failure? The everlasting Candle shineth n its Naken glory. Behold how it hath consumed every mortal veil. O ye moth-lovers of this light! Brave every danger and consecrate your souls to its consuming flame

This site made me giggle with delight. They have keyboard navigation and a pleasant voice telling you where you are going. You can also change the colors with the tab key...ooOOOoooOoOOo...I haven't even looked at their portfolio yet.
05:45 p.m., Sunday, September 17, 2000
I love looking at my referral stats and seeing random links from other sites. Makes me feel good...so thanks to hazel.pitas, rapeface.pitas, and jkc.pitas. Thanks guys! Woo!
Last night I had SO much fun. We had Baha'i Coffeehouse last night here in Athens, with its "open mic action" and everything. Some folks came from Atlanta, and some from here at UGA, and we just had a blast. My friend Cheryl and I sang a Sheryl Crow duet (betcha didn't know I sing sometimes, eh?), and then Afshin and I did a duet (him on piano, me vocals) which we entitled "The Tori Montage." Both of us are Tori Amos fans, but neither of us knows an entire song I don't think, so we just pieced together bits of all the different songs that we mutually knew. It was quite funny becuse I just ended up humming after a while while he went crazy on piano. Hehe...that's what I get for performing with a music major. He played the most beautiful song last night which he called "Waterfall," and I swear it felt like love does. It was so beautiful. When he gets an mp3 up I'll post.
So anyways, I slept the day away and now here I am again at graphic design...listening to Amel Larrieux and procrastinating on a paper for my repro in graphic design class. Guess I better get to work now.
04:25 p.m., Sunday, September 17, 2000
There's another Lacey Graves in this world...second from the right on the bottom row. Wow.

Okaaaaay...so maybe I didn't really update my links page. I could have SWORN I did...but I did that at about 8:30am eastern...so anything's possible.

Following some links which josh sent me, I surfed around and got to blkmrkt.com (link via arkitip), a site with some very cool russian constructivist-esque art. Their clientele is very impressive...Hasbro, Pepsicola, Virgin Records...it even looks as if they have some obeygiant stuff chillin' in the background image. Interestiiinnnngg.

If I had a million dollars, I'd order all the fonts on Fountain.nu. Some of my favorites are Drunk, Schlager, and Mercury (check out the lowercase g! ohmigaw!). Typography has always fascinated me...I guess that makes me even MORE of a nerd.

I added stuff on the links page, including Subinev's new site. Lookin' good! :) Rachel is also back on the web, and she seems to be kindof ho-hum on the internet. Visit her site and make her happy :). I also added caffemocha and mental.nu. I love those sites so much.
I'm seriously thinking about going out to SanFrancisco when I get out of college in another year or so. I think while I'm young and unattatched I'll just see what's out there. I'm already working with hifiart.com and we are working on a new project which could be very exciting indeed. That and my favorite sites usually come out of SF. I think this is a sign..

Learning how CDs work is interesting. Go laser technology!

First order of business: my gbook. It really does work, but for some reason no new entries are showing up. I can view them when I'm logged in to gbook.nu, so please by all means, leave your comments there. I really do appreciate them :)
Second order of business: my brain is turned into GOO. Yes, goo. I can't process any slight little bit of information. The only thing I can do is work in illustrator and photoshop like the machine I'm being trained to be. I'm getting some good work though...I just can't function as a normal human being as a result. I'll post soon (really, I promise...) what I've been doing.

Tiffany's spiel on hackers was funny. I like the original thing that hackers were. Har har.

Goodness, I love MRM.
I also did not have so much experience in the 70s, but it seems like it's bigger and flashier than ever now to me as well, and the term "glam rock" is running rampant around pop culture. And in the search for what exactly "glam rock" means, I came across a few slang dictionaries. I thought it was funny that this guy was inspired to create a huge online slang dictionary because of some comment made in class. (side note: does anyone ever read those hilarious columns on the onion with the accounz receevable guy?) Also, be sure and check out the Top 20 slang words for 1998. It's 8am and I can't share any more links...but thanks for lettin me drop some knowledge on yall. Werd.

Well, I broke a thousand (hits) on laceydotpitas...I think half of that may have been me on this redesign..
I have a job at a computer lab now, where I get paid to surf the internet. The only problem with this new job is that I have to be there at 8am everyday Eastern time, so no one is online to talk to.
Today I also started working on some mockups for my upcoming feature entitled "My Polariod Summer." So heads up.

So. It's my senior year of college, and only NOW am I having complete irrisponsible fun. Wheee hoo! Last weekend I went camping at a conference and was completely behind the entire week. I've neglected 2 out of my 4 classes, and the other 2 I just go to, I don't do any work for. And I've been so busy! There just aren't enough hours to get done all the work I am responsible for. The Baha'i Association has taken a backseat to school, and it's almost like school has taken a backseat to reflection and thought and coffee. Very odd. This weekend I had some friends come see me from Murfreesboro, TN, and we had SO much fun. Now, I have to work. But what am I doing? Reading the Ya-Ya book, typin' up a pita, drinkin' coke. Wow. This is procrastination...this is also pure babble so I'll end it now :)

Okay, so I'm on this Madonna kick lately, having bought The Immaculate Collection from ebay a few weeks ago. Anyways, aside from being addicted to the woman's music, I stumbled upon this nifty little site today promoting her new album, Music. It took me a minute to get it, but there is this cool feature where you can "mix" your own version of Music by turning on and off various parts of the song. Pretty cool, eh? Then I find out that you can download the MP3 legally there as well, and even watch the video in quicktime. I like the little cartoon in the middle. I'm also liking this whole 70s glam-rock thing that's taking over the world. The MTV awards last night looked insane, costume-wise...I thought it was great (my roommate felt on the contrary...)! Gotta go to class now..

Yes, those are my fingerprints in the new layout. They look like "little swimmy things," as Mr. Murawski would say. Just posted that in case you're wondering what all that blue stuff is :)

The folks looking at the most recent pitas are probably tearing their hair out right now, because laceydotpitas has been updated about once every 2 seconds. It's looking better than before, but it still needs some work...I'm gonna add some links and other fun stuff...and look forward to there being other interesting tidbits here soon. My friend Tiffany has a neat little feature on her site so people can see what her quote o' the moment or what her mood is...I think that's kinda neat. So the moral of all this blabbering right now is that I will be back soon. Got lots and lots to do. Thanks to Michael for helping me with some html.
