Well, I have links now below. Thank you to frankie, ezra, and winn for showing me the error of my code. Sometimes html can kick you in the face.
So enjoy the links. Pay homage to those who inspire me.

OH my goodness, I love Dreamweaver. How did I live without it before?

12:02 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2001

My friend Adrian said last night that he feels like a boulder is sitting on his back, his chest, and his head. I'm starting to feel the same way.

I haven't been able to fit links in a good way on this page. I have an idea now how I want to do it, but unti I get time to do so, go visit the links at collaboration.

06:39 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2001

I had a dream last night that I was organizing a concert for Garth Brooks. Random.

06:02 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2001

Check out this guy's illustrations. Wow.

I'm so busy it's depressing. Yar.

07:39 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2001

Lenny Kravitz is the sexiest man alive. Bar none. I've been wanting to log that for a week.

09:56 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2001

Hi everyone. I really want to archive this page but I can't because of some strange pitas phenomenon. I guess I'll just have to do it some other time.

Anywho, I've had a lovely internet vacation. I needed some time to think about design and school, and I needed to devote some sincere hours to my new job. I learned Dreamweaver last week, and I am totally in love with how easy it is. I'm working on self-promotional stuff for school, and for my portfolio class I'm designing various stuff for a chinese restaurant...I'm pretty excited..but nervous..

So keep an eye out on my subdomain over at collaboration.nu. We've got some potential projects in the works that I'm pretty excited about also. It's really a thrill and a challenge to work with others to put up a collaborative website. It's also really interesting working with people that are hundreds of miles away. Conference calling and AIM become tools of your sanity. It's still really rewarding though to be working with such talented and understanding people.

So anywho, I'm back. It feels like forever, and it wasn't even a week. Enjoy the new design.

07:33 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2001

Just so ya know, Collaborate: 2.1.01. We've been collaborating.

09:40 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2001

The new H73 is extremely rad. They have an interview with David Carson, of Raygun, who is meant to be the visiting artist at my school this semester. I'm extremely pumped. If anyone wants to come down to Athens to hang out with David Carson in April (not sure of the date yet), lemme know :)

09:26 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2001

Wow, this song is amazing. I think I will have to add it to the wish list.

11:15 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2001

There's kind of a nice math to designing a typeface.

02:01 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2001

Ugh.

02:10 p.m., Sunday, January 28, 2001

This should be the first sign that your government is crazy. The Afghans need to lighten up a little (yeah, let your women wear 3/4 sleeves for gosh sakes!). It's said that God even has a sense of humor.

03:04 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2001

Thank you Ezra for pointing out to me that I haven't changed my email links yet. I totally forgot. Oh yeah, and collaboration.nu should be up in a couple of days. We switched hosting and it takes a few days for that to go through. Sorry for the delay.

02:58 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2001

I must have this nike psa play 60. I've been waiting for one of these forever. I see people at the gym all the time with walkmen and cdplayers and I just don't see how it's worth it. They are so bulky...it's not worth it. So I gave up on music a long time ago at the gym. Way to be on top of things though, nike. MP3s are PERFECT for the gym..no skipping, no static. Aah. Now if they'll only come out with a cordless model I'd be all set. :)

02:46 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2001

Furiously at work on collaboration...heads up y'all..

09:41 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2001

I heard about AirTran's standby deal for people under 22, but now I'm a believer. I'm totally going to do this. For 55 bucks I can fly to DC! Whoa!

01:30 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2001

My new computer came on my first day of work today! Woohoo! It is rad indeed...optical mouse and 400 mhz and all that other fun stuff. I also got a new monitor, 17", but it is kindof ugly, I think. Oh well, I can't complain. I'm so excited!

10:28 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2001

I just read my gbook and Jaz wrote an entry. My bestest friends are getting together in Knoxville this weekend, and I can't go :( Nobody quite know how utterly sad this makes me. Stupid schoolwork, stupid LSAT, stupid responsibility and most of all stupid lack of fundage! ARR!
Well anyways, ladies, I want you to have fun this weekend and please pretend that I'm there. I miss you all so so so so much. Oh yeah, good to see that MRM's back online :)

08:25 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2001

Gotta love stock photography.

04:55 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2001

Collaboration.nu will be up on Friday! Woo! We decided to take a few more days to get it looking the way we really wanted. I'm excited about this project. :)

09:21 a.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2001

This site is so rad! They specialize in computerized renderings of 3d spaces...their products are pretty awsesome too. Be sure and check out the rollover in the lower right "K+D" box. Link via archinet.com via linkdup.

01:25 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2001

Winn says, "all women suck" as his only entry for Monday. I want to defend myself, but somehow I don't think it's worth my time (ooohh!).

09:53 a.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2001

Oh my God. I think I like the ABBA teens (or the "A*Teens" as they seem to be known). Good grief.

Right after I wrote that I think I changed my mind based on their ridiculousness (is this dawson's creek?). Never mind.

I've been writing some really mindless entries lately

03:44 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2001

Tiffany's advice for the day: "Selling yourself is hard. Stay in school, kiddies. NEVER EVER GRADUATE!!!!!"

11:49 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2001

This makes no sense: I visited the dreamworks site today and it gave me a little popup warning that said it was not supported by Macintosh Internet Explorer. Yeah, Netscape is much better. I'm not an expert, but it makes no sense to me that they would code it for Netscape before Explorer (of course I know they are catering to the PC audience, bla bla bla).

11:15 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2001

...and I saw the movie and it was good! Yes, there were a few hopelessly cheesy parts, but hey, it's MTV, what do you want. But to defend them they are one of the few networks out there really making an attempt at targeting young people for race unity. Sure there are others, but consistently MTV makes movies focused on diversity. I recommend it, in any case. (MRM, Liz, Jaz go see it!!)

07:03 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2001

I am about to go see Save the Last Dance. Don't laugh, I really want to see it.

03:57 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2001

It's official: collaboration.nu, the brainchild of a few of us web geeks, will be launching Jan 24. Go bust out on our mailing list for now :)

12:43 a.m., Sunday, January 21, 2001

I just saw this wierd million-legged insect in my apartment. I can't find it in the insect book either. Yikes!

12:41 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2001

This is random, but I decided to look for a Pixies song that is meant to mirror Self's song "Titanic." I had no idea how similar they were or what, and I don't own any Pixies, but nonetheless, I found it: a song called "Gigantic." I feel like I've accomplished something now. :) If someone has it downloaded and they want to send it to me let me know.

02:45 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2001

I edited my links over yonder-->.
I added some of the other places I visit every day and took out the ones I really don't :) Be sure and check out db0x, who's got some transitional pieces up and twoblocks, who WILL have some transitional pieces up. Also, my friend Seth is making another movie, and his log is full of indie movie-making stuff.

01:59 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2001

Okay, gotta give some props. Werd to subinev for that new splash. Very nice (and bannerless, too!). Also his blog lately is really great...he's got some really beautiful photos up. Bryan is very influenced by "the city" as a theme, and I think that it really gets into the soul of his work. Good work, Bryan.

01:44 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2001

I'll have to apologize for my sporadicness this week, friends. I'm going through some transitions right now that are pretty big and they have been taking up a lot of my thought time. So if I've been tactless, mean, or punchy, sorry. My fault. I guess I should explain.

First off, I got hired yesterday to redesign the new visual arts site for the school. I didn't say anything before because I hadn't given my notice at my other job, and I didn't think it would be fair for everyone else to know first what's going on before my boss did. So that's a GOOD thing. I'll get my own mac, and a little space to run it, and my friend Daniel will be assisting me, so it's going to be a fun project.

Second, as many of you know I am taking the LSAT (law school admissions test) next month, and I'm starting to get nervous. The more I think about it, the less I think I want to go to law school. But I want to keep my options open, and I want to do good on the test nonetheless. So I'm trying to study under my schedule, which is impossible. I'm in my hardest (and most crucial) semester of college, and I'm getting wigged out.

Then there's all the little annoying things, like spending a gajillion dollars on 7 books for one class that isn't my major, a big fat car repair, and other various annoyances having to do with money (that I don't have).

I want to say also that I miss my close friends terribly. I'm really going through some friend withdrawal right now. You guys know who you are...I miss you a lot. I'm praying for you guys because there are transitions for you, too...so just know that I'm right there with ya. Just not physically. :)

08:53 a.m., Thursday, January 18, 2001

I feel agitated. Yar.

03:33 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2001

Random search engine keywords of the day: "Flashdance+i'm so excited." Okaaayy..
I feel like the internet is in a design lull right now. I don't see a lot of new stuff happening out there...it all happened around new year. Now I find myself literally going through all of my friends' links to find something I can sink my teeth into. You know? Eeh, perhaps that's not a legitamate complaint.

01:59 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2001

I'm at the point where I can't think in the morning without coffee. Does that make me a grown-up? Nooooo!

08:19 a.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2001

I'm not posting a picture of the thumb. It is really gross. I don't want to have to look at that every time I load laceydotpitas.

10:42 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2001

Nothing makes my blood run cold faster than a big charge for a stupid car repair. My car is 10 years old. It seems to stupid that car parts are so friggen expensive. I just spent $300 in November on some other repairs! Now to have that much spent AGAIN?! I feel the ice in my veins. Ugh.

05:09 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2001

Uh oh! I had some drama today! Well...not really me, but my roommate anyways. I think some people are more likely to injure themselves and whatnot, and for some reason my roommate seems to be one of these people (not saying that in a mean way, i've just noticed this about certain people). Ironically, she HATES doctors and hospitals and especially needles...I'm sure all these things give her nightmares at night. Well tonight she cut her thumb, and we had to go to the emergency room. Another irony, her mother was visitng, and so was her boyfriend...and they live about 2 hours away and aren't here too often. It was drama...I won't go into it, but let's just say that the idea of getting stitches was terrifying to Kristan (my roommate) and she went hysterical. I've never seen anything quite like it. So while waiting at the emergency room her mom and I had a smoke (yet another irony...I even had a dream about a cigarette last night...weird..) and chilled out. Thank goodness she was here (I mean, where else would I have gotten a cigarette?). And then of course Kris' boyfriend to calm her down. Glad I didn't go to Atlanta tonight. I'll post a picture of the thumb tomorrow :)

12:57 a.m., Sunday, January 14, 2001

I am quite enjoying my new Dido cd a whole lot. It's made me remember what I used to do for fun before when I had time. :) I forgot how much I like to read and listen to music and...type...entries on my pitas...site...hm...

10:50 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2001

I'm starting to feel like I'm going to survive the semester now. I was worried because I hadn't decided on a catchy idea for my big portfolio project (that will take me the whole semester to do), but now I think I have that settled, and I'm excited about it, too. I've been wanting to do more asian-influenced work, especially in the area of environmental graphic design. So I'm going in that direction. I'll give specifics when I solidify the ideas.
Also, I managed to study for the LSAT 2 or 3 days this week. And work. And start projects. And still get in bed by midnight (most of the time 11pm!). I hope that I can keep it up. Just get me through Feb 10 (LSAT doomsday) and I'll be good....

11:48 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2001

I made this for some co-workers of mine here at work.

01:53 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2001

I remember having a conversation with my chiropractor once about stress. I told him that I got extremely stressed on my Tuesday-Thursday schedule and was so wound up at the end of the day it was hard to relax and get in a good mood again. He told me that there were 2 solutions to this: excersize and chocolate. THAT is some good advice. :)

01:46 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2001

I finished reading Memoirs of a Geisha today and it was SO fabulous. If you like reading at all read it. Wow.

09:11 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2001

I survived my first two days of class successfully. I have only one class on Tues and Thurs, and it's my only non-art class: African American studies, which I am VERY excited about taking. I really want to understand the african american point of view more. This country has a lot to work on as far as race is concerned (the understatement of the year). Today actually marks the 40th anniversary of the university becoming desecregated. What an exciting time to be alive! (cliche and vague I know...but it's all I can say)

08:58 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2001

Right after I wrote that last entry, my illustration prof, Sania, Daniel, the head of the department and I all sat around nearly crying laughing at the Fox commercials. Dear goodness, Be sure and look at the one from China.

02:46 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2001

Everyone seems to think the bear commercial is the funniest thing ever. I know guys at work that sit around and watch it over and over and over...I mean, it's funny, but it's not "watch it 30 times straight and still think it's funny" funny. My illustration prof just claimed that it's the funniest thing he's ever seen. Must be a guy thing.

02:20 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2001

OH, the six degrees of the internet. I'm still mysteriously linked on bombast-xxx's weblog (which is VERY cool, don't get me wrong), but I followed a link from there and went to dack.com, an entertaining site with some good content on music and such. Then I see the dack tshirt, and it was designed by David Carson, whom I *thought* to be the famous graphic designer David Carson who is meant to be visiting UGA this semseter. But it's not "that" David Carson apparently, and this whole six degrees entry is completely random.
On another note, I'm still trying to think of anyone who would send me 2 cds...it was so nice of whoever it was. I hesitate to guess "aloud" on the web...but maybe a hint? Someone? Anyone?

12:59 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2001

Cool! Looks like Bryan posted the photos of our little web geek dinner at Fridays. I look scary. But it was still really cool to meet everyone.

11:26 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2001

Just finished watching the season premiere for La Femme Nikita. I love that show so much. I can't believe they are gonna cancel it. It's probably the best show on USA. BUT, I am very grateful for the remaining 7 episodes I have, as they would have been content to stop at last season. But I feel like it's going to be a little bit predictable, as they are going to undoubtedly bring people back from the dead and soforth. Tie up loose ends, yada yada.

11:09 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2001

I'll log about this now: I got back to athens today to find a package from amazon.com with 2 cds from my wishlist. Some mystery person bought me 2 cds! Whoever you are, thank you very much, they are greatly appreciated. And it being anonymous makes it even more exciting. Muhaha.

08:41 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2001

Looks like Blondie has a new layout. I am thoroughly entertained by her new storytime section...very funny. I'll never forget the story she told about being chased by an unmarked car through the middle of nowhere. The wierdest stuff happens to that girl. But it's insanely funny when she tells about it. I look forward to meeting her at the weezer show in feb.

10:40 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2001

I find myself a bit thrown off today. I just realized this afternoon that I am leaving for Athens/Atlanta tomorrow, and I haven't done any of the things I needed to do this week! Such as washing ye olde salty car, getting oil changed, doing the bank thing, bla bla bla...and then there was buying some much-needed things from other stores...where has the time gone?! Most of it seems to have been sucked away with "Memoirs of a Geisha," the book I'm involved with. The other half was babysitting my little friend Maya (which made everything worth it) for the past 2 days. We watched 102 Dalmations at the theatre...and I think I'm turning into somewhat of a sap because I nearly cried at the little spotless puppy. Aw! I'll probably post when I get back to Athens, so goodbye for now. It was nice to do all I did and see all I saw...now it's time to finish my last spring semester in college :)

06:47 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2001

I'm starting to feel like my entries go like this:

Dear diaryland,
Today I saw my friends. They make me happy. I designed a signband for a store in illustrator. It is neat. I like nerd.com it is a pretty site. That's all. Yarg.

Eeeh, but I don't care.

On to the days events: after a long week of staying out late and not sleeping enough, I took the day to read and sleep and watch TV. Yesterday even though I was exhausted I played with my friends all afternoon and evening, and it was a blast. Among the highlights was learning how to "Tim-Tam Slam" (to Aimee Mann) via my Aussie friend Jasmine. This is a great thing. You take this cookie, and literally use it like a straw with hot tea. Basically, it's a big chocolate gooey mess by the time you eat it but it is so fun and is so incredibly tasty! MM! Speaking of tasy, a waiter asked my friend yesterday if she wanted a "tasty beverage." We tipped him well. :)

12:30 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2001

Every now and then I like to drop in on Ev at evhead.com and I *really* like the layout he has up now. It is very pleasing to look at...I might have to use the sevenet font (or whatever it's called) in my next layout.

12:01 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2001

Good grief! You're gone from the internet for a day or so any everything changes! Jack, Matt, and Winn all have new grooves goin on, Michael got a new splash (which is very large on this 600x800 dialup bliss right here), the optimus project is in full effect, and...well I'm sure there's more. I met up with a bunch of internet folk the other day, and it was cool to finally put faces with names. Among the new ones were Maura, Bryan, Winn, Sibhod, and then Michael and db0x. And we're all blogging each other and that's funny. :)

07:57 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2001

Happy twenty-oh-one everyone! I had a lovely new years at mrm's place...spent with friends, as it should be. Then it snowed these big fat snowflakes and I couldn't get home. Ha! Now it's snowing again. It's so incredibly beautiful. Tonight I'm meant to meet up with subinev, his girlfriend rachel, michael, and maybe db0x and matt (moosle). It will be a little nerdy convention at Friday's. Haha.

04:14 p.m., Monday, January 1, 2001

I don't think I'd mind spending Christmas in the Polynesian Islands. As a matter of fact, I'm planning retirement in American Samoa.

04:03 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2000

Michael and Bryan are officially NOT red-green color blind as they both deduced that my layout is "very green." Hooray!

03:34 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2000

Today, I had all intentions of studying for the LSAT. Believe me! The book was out and everything! But somehow...it all started when I slept til noon. Then I thought I would go out...only to get distracted by Nylon Magazine and Tomb Raider (nooo!). Then, I *had* to eat dinner, so that took a while. And my parents seemed like fun people for the evening (not that they normally aren't...and I was a bit snowed in so I didn't have a choice) so we started to watch Moonstruck on TNT. Snowed in, with the parents, slow evening in front of the fireplace, seems like a good study time, eh? Here it is, 2.3 movies, 6 paintings, a few drawings, some chocolate, and 5 hours later and I still have managed to procrastinate on studying. What kind of lawyer will I be? Maybe I should take this as a sign.

01:01 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2000

It is snowing outside. I love when it is snowing...everything gets so quiet. When it rains there's all the impact noise, but when it snows, you've got all this stuff falling from the sky and there is no sound. Maybe the occasional leaf crackle or whatever, but it is truly peaceful. I can see why snow is equated with death in literature.

02:03 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2000

I have adopted the motto, "Nothing surprises me anymore." Yet, no matter how many times I say it, I get shocked still by things that happen to people I know or knew or thought I knew. Perhaps "shocked" isn't the word...maybe it's more like, "wow" or something of that nature.
Just so this all doesn't seem completely random, I have managed to see an incredible amount of people in the past couple of days that I knew from high school and otherwise. It is truly amazing what all can happen in a few years. College, marriage, kids, money, jobs (and for some, jobs and jobs and jobs)...it seems neverending. I feel really exhausted by the amount of information I have managed to suck up here lately. I know some folks (wink Steph ;) will agree.
And I feel exhausted just thinking about how much "worse" it will get too. In another year, I will go more weddings, graduate college, get a job, perhaps think about law school more...and there is even the possibility that I will fall in love and get married. It all seems so farfetched to me now. It's surreal to no extent.

02:06 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2000

Quasi-new layout for the new year. It's for all you red-green color blind folks out there. Thanks to my friend Ross and his shiny G4 for getting me through this layout :)

02:49 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2000

Today was full. Saw Castaway, of course it was great. Saw Nashville Predators game with the fam and my friend Allan...we had the hookup in the Firestone suite, so we got some PRIME seats. Then hung out with Allan. He got engaged to his long time girlfriend Amanda yesterday! I'm excited for him. Add him to the list of going-to-be-married-people. Been playing Java tetris for days now...when will the madness end?

01:57 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2000

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon doesn't come to Atlanta until January 19!?! New York got it on Dec 8..and it's not even coming to Nashville at all. Memphis is getting it. Something tells me this movie will be much better on the big screen, too.

01:56 a.m., Monday, December 25, 2000

I found out that there will be 8 more (new) Nikitas starting Jan 7!!!! I need to be sure I'm back in Athens by then. Muhahaha!

08:14 p.m., Sunday, December 24, 2000

Seems that google and yahoo keep sending me referral links for people looking for this stuff. Odd.

08:02 p.m., Sunday, December 24, 2000

Nearly 1:30am...I know at 8am my parents are going to wake me up to help clean the house. But am I tired? No. And I don't know if anyone else has this happen to them, but when I start chatting on aim, I get pulled into a time warp, and what seems like a few minutes is actually hours. Hours of precious sleep lost to aim.

02:24 a.m., Sunday, December 24, 2000

I am about to boycot excite.com. It lies and says my box is full (when I have a good 2 megs left). My apologies to anyone who has had emails returned. Yarg.

12:25 a.m., Sunday, December 24, 2000

I want to redesign for the new year. But, I need your ideas for a new theme. I want something unexpected. I've got a sketchbook full of layouts but I want to think outside the box here....so email me your ideas. No need for formalities, just an email with a word in it or something. Let's go internet, don't leave me hanging..

11:31 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2000

Today I venture out once more in search of christmas presents. Ironic that I still must do this even though I'm not meant to be celebrating christmas. I don't mind so much this year though...I have really been enjoying the generosity I've seen. People are doing some selfless things out there to make other people happy...and how can you complain about that?
And hey, I just noticed: db0x tried to link me. Well...it's the thought that counts :)

11:24 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2000

Note to reader: I'm too lazy to look up links to the stuff I'm gonna talk about. It's after 2 in the morning. Bleh.
I'm still getting through all these songs on the mega 89-song cd, and I thought I'd log some of them. I have really enjoyed the Sasha & John Digweed stuff. Very cool drum and bass stuff. Also, Olive and William Orbit (not together...but that would be neat) have been cool. However, some "ABBA Teens" have made it on to this cd. All I gotta say is AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhHHHHHH! NOOOO! ABBA was fine the way it was!
Speaking of ABBA, some friends and I watched "Pricilla, Queen of the Desert" the other night. It was VERY entertaining, and the costumes alone are worth the watch. It's about australian drag queens. And just FYI: the head drag queen is also the guy that says "Mr. Anderson..." a lot in The Matrix (you know, the bad guy). We laughed really hard when we found that out. But Pricilla's got some great scenes....some really original thinking. Go bust out on some blockbuster.

Clean page. Aaah. Everything's all archived. I was beginning to feel claustrophobic.
My friend Joel made me an mp3 cd with 89 songs on it. DAAAAAMN! Gotta love 700 megabytes, eh? Anywho, it's got just about everything on it (as you can imagine) and will serve me well in the graphic design lab late at night. A lot of it is techno-ish music, and I just heard a song by a band called Sunscream. Great song, reminded me a lot of Orbital, whom I really like as well.
Can't get over how nice it is to have a clean slate here.
