Let me be... the Towel.
I Can't See The End Gah. 6 day work week. I absolutely hate it when they say its 5 1/2 days. I want my weekend!
It's a popular saying that one should start with the end in mind. And right now, I can't see the end. I'm just floating. Drifting with the flow, not fighting the current, letting it take me wherever it will. It brings me back to the resolutions I made in the middle of this year (hey, at least I got around to making 'em resolutions!). I need to be more assertive. I need to take control of my life and stop drifting. I need to be more decisive. But it's not happening. I'm not quite sure how to start. However, I believe I have made a slight change in the last 3 months. Course, Pervert still gets to me, and whenever I even think/ see/ hear of him, I feel like my blood pressure is going off the charts. I suppose some people are simply born annoying. A pity I can't forgive that major flaw of his. I can't see the end of this week. I just wish I could skip all the way till Saturday afternoon. //Saturday, where are you? Hey, listen, could you like drop by tomorrow? And stay forever? No? Whatdya mean no?! Come back here you $#^$% #%$^# @(*&@#!!!// Guess I'll just be good, sit here and listen to mp3s, read some *ehem* fiction, and look real busy. Ah, now for some recommended reading today, learn more about Spiders' Dating Rituals. Now, its a disturbing article, but informative nonetheless. Don't say I didn't warn you. Also, Suede's new official biography Love & Poison is out today. One new item to add to my wishlist. Btw, Adrian has a blog! Huzzah!
The Slashiest Game. Ever. I'll throw my vote in for RUGBY please. I watched it for the first time last night, and it was... phroar. Kinda like RPS. On TV. Lemme explain a bit more, esp. for the people who don't watch Rugby. It's a harsh, violent and an incredibly man-on-man sport. Apart from pure entertainment value, here are the reasons as to why it is such a GOOD slashy sport to watch: 1. Minute outfits. Hot men in tight tees and very short shorts. Self explanatory. 2. Grabbing. Men grabbing men wherever and whenever they can. Want to see loads of butt grabbing/ smacking, then this is the sport for you. 3. Torn outfits. You know, if you watch the ending part of the game, some of the player's shirts will be torn. Mmmm, men tearing other mens' shirts off. What can I say, but ... RPS. 4. Pouncing. Or tackling, if you want to get technical with me. Men pouncing on men. What was that quote again? There is nothing more manly than two men making wild monkey love? Hmmmm... 5. Team orgy. Normally happens after the first pounce. Everybody wants a piece of the action. Massive groping occurs. Also, you see face in butt (and occasionally, face in crotch) action. Hmmmm... I must apologise to all het. rugby fans, but I see this game with 'slasher' eyes. So everything is related to... slash. But y'know what, it gives great slash fiction inspiration. Aside from that, the past 2 days have been very good to me. I was on leave, and it was lovely. It's a good thing today is Friday. Friday is a good day. It's a happy day, except when I have to work on Saturday. =( Anyhow, I'm deviating from the point. I celebrated my anniversary with Alan. Can't believe it's been 4 years. Wow. Time really flies. And so, I stuffed myself silly at 2 restaurants I have not visited before. I'm really thankful my clothes still fit today. =) Maybe it's because I made Alan eat all the stuff I couldn't finish... Btw, HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! And Happy Belated Birthday to Ken Vi! And now, for a quiz: ![]() My inner child is sixteen years old!
Life's not fair! It's never been fair, but while Edited at 2.15p.m.
Immodest I'm done with cute designs. There was a time I needed to design something different. Something unexpected. Something very un-me. But now that I've got that out of my system, we'll go back to the basics. Anyone fancy a PS3? Go check out this article. Very... informative. ^_^
It's Been A Long 12 Years The costume party last Friday was a blast. I dressed up as Misato from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Unfortunately, because I only went shopping the night before, I didn't manage to get a gun and the badge to go with the costume. Oh well, there's always Cosplay in December ^-^ The best thing about the party for me was actually meeting up with Adrian again. We were best friends in Standard 3, but one day he moved schools. And since we were both really blur kids, we didn't keep in contact. Come to think of it, that's strange because we used to call each other after school everyday. I don't know why I didn't call him when he didn't show up at school. Hmmmm... weird. I've never actually had long-staying best friends in Primary School. Each year, inevitably, my best friend would switch schools. Maybe it was me =P It happened it Standard 1, 2, 3 and 4. Have only vague memory of my best friend in Standard 5. Probably it was because I was already used to being the odd one out and I simply joined another group of friends but never really belonged. Then again, I remember being quite busy with my training schedule. Thankfully, the curse broke in Standard 6, and I hung out with Lil and JQ. And of course, when I went to high school, I met up with the rest of the YCCians (although I didn't know about YCC until Form 2. Yes, yes, I was blur). Back to the topic. Adrian and I used to sit together at school, not pay attention to the teacher and write the craziest stories and games at the back of the class. Now, why does this sound familiar? I must have blocked this out of my memory due to obvious reasons, but I vaguely remember my mom finding one of our 'scribble' books. Oh, the humiliation. Yup, definitely need that blocked out of memory. There were so many nutty things we did as kids, I simply can't list them all. Haha, you guys can ask him when you see him =D BTW, it's great to see you again, Adrian. ^-^
Boo-boo of a Lifetime? I can't believe I made such a mistake. And this is the SECOND time I've gotten my days mixed up. Goodness knows about all the other times I didn't know I had my days messed up. So, what happened? Well, this nice lady calls me up at 7p.m. at night to tell me that I've been selected for an interview. My brain must shut down the moment (and sometimes earlier) I left the office. And so all was well. I didn't actually think they were going to call me up for an interview since I put a really high (at least I think it's high) salary expectation. It's been close to 2 weeks since I submitted the resume, and I figured, there must be many more people willing to work for a lower fee and are more qualified than me. Alan and I went to San Fran Coffee for dinner. We sat down. We both had lasagna (he copied me, I swear!- Ok, no, so I copied him...) and turkey. I started planning my leave. We talked about synchronising our leave and what we had to do on Wednesday. And then- BAMMMM!!! It hit me. Wednesday is tomorrow. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Double shit. Shit. Shit. Someone is willing to employ me (its not definite, but wow- they considered me and that's something) and I screw up my dates. Just great. And so I fall into deep panic, especially since I can't call back to reconfirm. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Shit. Since there really is nothing I can (except whine to Alan, and later call Fabs to whine some more) I was forced to wait till the next day. Guess what? It's scheduled next week. Woo-hoo! *does happy dance* Am still mourning for the loss of my entries. Hopefully they will be restored soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
MORE! I need more FF7 now! To be specific, I need more FF VII: Advent Children. I suppose this is one of the worst things about being one of the earlier people to know. You have a longer wait. But I'm not very good at waiting. I hate waiting. I end up losing my sanity while waiting. Waiting is a bad bad thing. And so, just for all the people who go nuts waiting as well, FYI there is only ONE Advent Children trailer. I downloaded THREE different files cause I thought they might be different versions... but they weren't. Feel free to prove me wrong though. =D And now, for the links! (Because it just hurts not being to watch the movie now now NOW.

Bubble World People always ask me: Why do you like anime so much? You do realise how old you are. And I answer: Why not? The same goes for my books, fanfiction and games. Why not? But I rarely admit the truth. It's a form of escape. An escape from reality. Why? Because the real world just sucks. Whenever things get ugly or bad, I just immerse myself into this other world. In this world, I'm safe. Nothing can hurt me. What's more is that I know that everything will always turn out well in the end. And on some restless night, its my bubble world that gets me calm and peaceful. It's them that I turn to for solace and comfort. I can't explain why, but they calm me like no human being ever could. I can't remember when I actually started this little habit. If I were to guess, I'd say sometime in primary school. About Primary 3 or 4 I should think. In some insignificant way, it has always made me a little different. And on a restless night (or rather morning I should say) like this, I will once again turn to them. And hope that everything will be alright. Everything WILL be alright. Note: HAPPY BIRTHDAY to TJ! I've always wondered, and I'll ask again, "Why is my momma younger than me?"
My Darlings Are Coming Home I've missed them sooo much. My lovely lovely darlings! What exactly am I talking about? Well, its news of release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. I just want to cuddle them up, and go all hanyannnnn. It's a sign. I'm sure of it. No, I'm already past the boundaries of madness. =P It's a sign that I really should get started on my ficlet. I've had a sudden idea to write a Cloud/ Sephy story 2 days ago. Gave it a little thought, penned down several paragraphs and just left it alone. And look, they're coming up with a WHOLE MOVIE! YESSSSS! Sephiroth's good looks on the big screen (or at least however big my TV screen is). Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Hanyan, hanyan, hanyan, hanyan, hanyan. In other news, I've been learning how to use the 'shark clip'. It's a type of hair-tying device, which I'm still getting used to. Hopefully, with time and practice, I'll be able to use get my hair nicely done with one simple try. At the moment, I'm still very very poor at it. I've been trying to use the clip properly in the morning, and I only succeeded during lunch hour. I wonder if Sephiroth uses anything to maintain his hair. It's so pretty... Also, I found an interesting site. Check out this Cosplay Site. Loads of photos and ideas for the upcoming YCCian Halloween Party. Also, check out Cloud in a dress. Fanboy-ism extreme! Thing is, he really really looks like Cloud at the Honeybee Inn. 0_o
Ministry of Re-education Now, this article is what I'm talking about. Harry Potter classes. Go read it. Imagine what we could accomplish if education turned this direction! We'd have the literature classes of Lil's dream. We'll all have wonderful jobs that involve fangirl/ fanboy-ism. It would be a terrible thing to go home 30 minutes after work ends, cause you'd have wasted half an hour worth of TV! Imagine a world where the books, vcds, cds and dvds (which you want) are in abundance. Imagine a world where the office will give you time off to go catch your favourite shows in telly. Wow. What a wonderful world that'd be! Probably, we may not be as productive, but being happier, we'd do work faster and more efficiently. It all adds up to the same thing in the end! =) And then we'll be the ones giving weird looks to people who want to stay back in the office. Hah! A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mazzie, who's celebrating her birthday today. Go sis-tah!
