Umm...
Sunday, October 29, 2006 - 04:54 p.m.
Haven't blogged for a while... I'm still in my "nothing interesting happened, so nothing to blog about" phase. So, this will probably be my last post for the month.
Well, I did finally try Lay's curry flavour chips. :) I both like and don't like it. The reason I like is that I tend to like curry flavour things, and upon opening the bag, you get a big wave of curry smell. And when you eat them, they're quite curry tasty as well. But then, after a while, the chips get really salty and start to lose the curry taste. Maybe it's just me though, who knows. :T So then, I had to stop and wait to finish it later. My verdict: I think it'll be good junk food for a small gathering, or if just for myself, eat it in small portions so I can always taste the curry flavour. :) Or better yet, they could come out with smaller bag sizes, like those they make for Halloween. :)
Umm.... what else what else... nothing much really.. except for feeling a little deflated/unmotivated lately. I went and checked out JET and its form, and was pretty overwhelmed with the questions they ask. They'll also need reference letters as well (I think), and if I were to apply, I wouldn't know where to ask for one. o_o;; In a way, I feel quite comfortable learning Japanese at the slow pace that I'm doing. But then, I would also wonder whether if I would ever be any good in it with the way I'm learning now. At the very least, I am a little more proactive(?) about it than before, and am starting to look into more books to aid this study interest of mine... :)
Anyway, that's all I can think of at the moment. I'm still same old same old, nothing to worry about, and nothing to wonder about. :) So, til next time, chao~
Boredom
Friday, October 13, 2006 - 11:47 p.m.
Something is wrong with the cable company today, so there's no TV.... And I'm bored..... :T Usually there isn't much good TV on Fridays anyway, but I tend to get the most of my TV viewing on this day... So now that there's no TV, I have to go find my own entertainment, here enters:
3D Pong! It's so fun! I think it has to do with it giving you so many chances at beating the computer. :D
Anyway... /am slightly down from various things... but I'm not gonna dwell on 'em... so off to sleep I go! (but it's so early!) Night all!
Code #3 + ???
Monday, October 9, 2006 - 01:36 a.m.
Don't worry, I think this will be the last post about code for the next few days at least. Well, unless I discover new problems.... >.> So let's hope I don't/won't. ^^;
Today didn't go so well. Things just disappeared and only hours later have I realized I was probably clicking on the wrong thing, so that's why it didn't appear. And the modulization was very half-way-ly accomplished. :T So the code is still a little... meh. All in all, took me quite a long while getting things together. But at least I got it done, even though I'm sure there are details that I still need to work on/tweak, but, it's zipped and sent off for now. So, *sigh of relief*.
And now, I just wait for response and relax for a bit. I can finally sleep at normal hours today! Yay! My eyes can finally rest properly. I still worry over the code, but I'll push it away for a day or two. Tomorrow will be holiday! And hopefully I can do something fun. :)

Ah, before I forget, Happy birthday to the only October 9 baby I know. :P My "virtual" gift
will have to wait.. I just didn't have the time to make it today, so maybe it'll appear tomorrow! :P is here: (Do what you will with it. :P)
Code #2
Sunday, October 8, 2006 - 04:46 a.m.
I think I got it to work! :D The code gave me a break during the afternoon, so I took it (went to Walmart, watch some tv, eat, and basically vegetate) and only resumed the work just now, so I actually didn't have to slave over it too much today. In total, today, I've probably spent 5-6 hours I think? Although, I was pretty stuck before I got unstuck(the break). ^^;
The solutions are actually quite simple, if they're correct... But I don't know whether if they would be considered "good" solutions. But it works, so I won't poke too hard at it, for now. Tomorrow will be clean up and combine/group/modular-ize day. I still don't know how to clean up my mess of codes. I badly need some order! Anyway, off to sleep I go, and I'll be back at it again tomorrow!
Code
Saturday, October 7, 2006 - 05:43 a.m.
Aw man... I've been tackling this problem with wanting something to move in a circle for more than a day now. At first I thought I could manipulate the coordiates, but it wasn't working. (At least the part about getting the coordiates is somewhat complete.) However, it seems I'll need to get a loop and a thread to make it move. And truthfully, I don't even know if that'll really help.
I hope it will... But that would mean I need to start a fresh page of code to test things out again. Also, they will again be unfamiliar territories to me, so I hope the solution won't be too complicated. My code right now is messy enough already. :T
Hopefully, I can get this solved tomorrow, and get on with the next task, which is, to change the speed at which the thing moves based on user input. And after that, to clean everything and group and modular-ize (I don't think that's a word) to make things easier to get to. Which reminds me, I need to figure out/remember how to put and connect methods from different java files... :X The main (and actually only) file is getting quite long, and my monitor is too small so the scrolling gets time consuming. I suppose I can ask people, but I feel like such a leech who just take take take... So, I'll try to get through this hurdle on my own as much as possible. And only after all this, I'll try to tackle this background image thing I was stuck on. :T
*Sigh* And to think I was hoping to get some time in to re-memorize some Japanese conjugation rules and burn some things off to get space. All within the weekend. Don't think that'll happen unless I finish or find solutions for the above though. Well, at least I can take comfort in that there's no JP class next week, so I can have a wee bit of time to push things off. :X Oh yeah, and then there's also the social aspect of life that I've kinda neglected lately... I haven't talked for a while, so I've got to find some time to talk to people. Heh ^^;
Alright, it's (very) late, and I'm tired. Night/morning y'all~
kuu is obviously a creature born sometime ago.
Its exact date of existence amuses itself greatly.
But kuu itself deems this unnecessary information for the prying public.
Hence will forever be unknown to the unknowing.
This writer likes to point out that kuu has an alter ego over
here at CocaCola.
kuu's nature is rather mean, but does pretend*ahem*attempt to be nice most of the time.
It is made of water, mostly blue, and has orange spots.
It is also short and round with a big head.
Too bad the head size does not correspond with any kind of smarts.
kuu likes colours and pretty things, and dislikes all manners of messyness.
As always, it needs to clean its room and do well in school, but things just don't always work out the way it wants it to be.
kuu is not reachable for comments by any normal means, unless you have special knowledge of its other virtual or real selves.

The "family" (haha!) above is from Tada Kaoru-sensei's last manga
Itazura na Kiss. An excellent excellent source of information regarding the manga can be found
here. As well as the reason why this is the last manga from the mangaka. I tend to treat this manga with respect because of that. And althou it's end is like that, I am glad it is able to end with a world of possibilities.
Tada-sensei's drawing style isn't the prettiest. In fact, it looks to be from such an early era that one may even be turned off by it. However, I simply just adore the story. It is probably the first manga that brought me to tears just by reading the synopsis.
It is very much a typical shoujo story, with a guy who is quite a catch, and a less than average girl pining after him. XD But the best part is it didn't just end at the usual happily ever after. What happened after is much sweeter than the first half. How I wish there is a Naoki for me. :3 Through laughters and tears, you can't help but like/love everyone in the story. Hence the reason why I didn't single out anyone in the picture.
Itazura na Kiss, or ItaKiss, as I tend to call it, ended its run in 1999. It has 23 volumes, both JP and Chinese editions are out. Do give it a read if you can find it. :)
