SB85: :D :D :D The turn of events! Hehe. Now I'm sort of pull between S and R, but I think I'm still rooting for R, unless S does something to make me like him more. :P But then, there's a new R in the picture! :o Oh ho ho... I can't wait to read the actual scans! *_* I have a feeling the mangaka is trying elevate S's status with the readers, and I have to say, it is working! :P When is R coming back into the picture??? :P Recently my email on yahoo was picked to try out their new mail beta system, and I'll have to say, it's pretty cool. Looks very much like a mail client. But since pretty much no one mails me there at all, I haven't tried out anything other then reading mail and deleting spam. ^^; I think I still prefer goomail's bbs like system thou.. I wanted to say I like goomail's simple interface more, but with all the stuffs added to it lately, they have started to clutter the space. That's just my opinion anyway. So I'm okay either way.. don't totally like or dislike either. :T

OMG, db A2 got extended. Awesome! Thank you! (whoever who wanted it extended -- email says "by popular demands") *_* Now off I go to stay up again for my usual Friday lab. :x But yes, good news it is, that db a2. :)

umm...

*major panda eyes* design fair present is tomorrow. And we're almost done, sort of, hopefully we can get everything working by tomorrow's demo. There are some bugs that we have to fix, and they're being very difficult. T_T The coding turns out more complicated than I thought, but since we started working on this so late, debugging is very lacking. I just hope we'll do okay tomorrow. ;_;

*sigh* I can't relax yet thou... I must keep myself on edge till next Monday, I think. Coz between now and then, I have 4 major things to do, which when combined, seems to worth quite a big chunk of the final grade... *yikes*

Am quite sleepy right now actually, didn't sleep well last night, just wasting time blogging here so I can get pass 9oclock to call home cheaply. Karin has the fair today, I wonder how that'll go? Probably okay thou, judging from what I saw.. Nice looking and colourful. :) But anyway, more hiatus from now on! T_T

Friday, March 10, 2006 - 12:32 a.m.
:X Midterm today went pretty bad... :x :x :x I wish I had more time to study. That's all. But even with more time, I'm not sure if I could do any better. And.. this midterm got on my nerves with the calculator punching that I had to do. -_-+||| I've said it before, I'm a person who prefer to calculate by head as much as possible, but this midterm!! *shakes fist* It had to have decimal numbers and... *more fist* -__-; I wish I converted the matrix into fractions, I'm sure I would've been able to save a lot of time that way. Stupid decimals matrix multiplication.... >.> I dislike you!

*happy*
Monday, March 6, 2006 - 06:14 p.m.
Yay! I passed my db midterm! I thought mine would be really bad, but it turned out okay. Now, if only this will give me a push on the design project... and hopefully my other midterms won't get too bad. But I'm not looking forward to the one on this thursday thou. :X

And, not that I have or don't have a life, but the very frequent posting is due to err.. random things that happen during the day, and I felt like posting between class breaks. Could/should've grouped them all in one post thou, so each entry won't look so short and flimsy.

Exchanged ring
Monday, March 6, 2006 - 03:23 p.m.
So yes, I changed it and now it fits. B..Bu..But, the ring design looks different now. I like the one before better, coz it has flatness and it looks shinier. This new one really looks like they took a piece of metal and pound it to its shape. Someone else got it exchanged too, and theirs look different from mine too. Which leads me to think, is every ring made differently? I thought they are all supposed to look the same. :x And.. I forgot to ask whether if it is still steel. I hope it is........

Just a note
Monday, March 6, 2006 - 01:29 p.m.
FB123: I have suspicions that someone's memory is going to get erased... :T Let's hope I'm wrong... I wonder how many chapters are left. It shouldn't be long now..

SB: 83 is still nowhere, picture-wise, but I read summary of 84. Hoho, looks like Ren has his work cut out for him. And Shou has been growing on me lately. *grin*

"Chasing the cancer answer"
Sunday, March 5, 2006 - 07:35 p.m.
Just watched the above Marketplace program on CBC, and here's an online document of it. They're saying that the majority of cancers are most likely caused by the environment.

I honestly didn't know that, even thou I've wondered why people get cancer. Apparently, there are lots of carcinogens in many household products, and there is no law in Canada that requires manufacturers to label them in the ingredients.

One such product that I found out from the program is the Mr. Clean eraser that I recommended a few months back for cleaning. Hence, to try to take a step towards better health, I won't buy them anymore after I'm done with the piece I have right now. I'll probably also start using less chemical products around the house from now on...

Never sticks to schedule
Saturday, March 4, 2006 - 12:56 p.m.
So yes, I'm sure someone would have noticed by now, whenever I said I have no time to post, I would immediately contradict myself and post a new entry in a really short time. So..err.. feel free to roll your eyes as much as you want.

Went to food in downtown yesterday. Since I never eat out, this was quite an odd experience. The weather was indeed very cold, so it was good that I prepared all my winter gadgets for the outing. Food was not as expensive as I'd thought, but that's probably just b/c it was a small restaurant and the whole stretch isn't a very fancy area.

I never knew all the theatres are around there! And I finally tried the TO underground walkway! That is surely something that UT should invest some $$ in, so students don't have to walk above ground in the freezing cold in winter.

What else what else, umm... hmm... yes.. I wouldn't say downtown is full of weirdos, but... it was strange that people would 1) go up to you to advertise/tell you to go to their restaurant, or 2) pop out of their restaurant inviting you in. We... ended up going for 2), coz everyone was indecisive and the only thing we know was it's freezing outside. The food was good thou, I liked what I ordered. Very filling, the only thing I'd like more is for them to pour their olive oil more evenly over the dish, cause the side of the dish was sorta warm, and where there was oil, there was heat. And I like eating food when they're hot. But truth be told, it was pretty oily already.

Let me see if I still remember, there was chicken, noodles (a type of pasta), spinach, sundried tomato, and mushroom. The chicken was very urm.. easy to eat (mushy but not too mushy), and the spinach was leafy, which I like. It made me want to find out how to make it. Too bad I forgot my camera, and my phone doesn't take good quality pictures like many others do. So anyway, I want to find out what spice they use to cook it, it doesn't look too hard to make, so I should be able to improvise.

Which leads me to think, I'm a meat eater, but I also tend to balance my food with non-meat. It didn't really trigger until I saw and appreciated that the greeny spinach wasn't overshadowed by the chicken. I'm probably the only one who would think about that when eating their food. Heh.

The outing was... interesting. I guess I was tired (mentally? physically? who knows..), so I wasn't talking much. But then again, when have I ever been a talker? Anyway, I'm once again glad that I no longer have a comments board here. Heh heh. It makes me wonder thou... how many visitors here are from school. Makes me somewhat nervous too, but I hope I've been vague enough all these years. Heh. Umm.. I wanted to put up a playlist, coz since the last time I talked about it, I've actually added quite a number of songs to the player (no, not mp3 player, I still don't have one), and strangely enough, the majority of them are Mandarin. Heh. My taste must be shifting, or maybe I just never paid enough attention to realize that Chinese music has some fine tunes too. But yes, I'll probably back out of the idea of a playlist here.. coz.. it's actually kinda long and it'll be in Chinese and no one (but one?) I know would be able to read it. BL related: Umm... OMG.. just went to check out when the ring finger novel would be out (Mar15,06), and also found out DMP has this other novel title from an author whom I've read quite a number of stories from. *shock* Hohoho. It'll be fun. Whining: SB83! Where art thou? >_<

*panda eyes*
Friday, March 3, 2006 - 03:30 a.m.
Yay! Got the ring. Now I just need to pass the semester and I should be able to proudly wear it. The ring is pretty tight thou, so I will be changing it. I think I'll take the risk of it falling off than keep it and have it cut off blood circulation to my finger. Turns out there was free food after all, so I took the little time I had before going home to grab some. Didn't drink anything thou, there was a long line at the "bar" and I didn't have time to wait in line for just a cup of oj, plus, I still had h20. I wanted to talk about something, but I don't feel like wording it out anymore. It's just another bout of me talking about my life philosophy. In the end, it always just ends up sounding like I'm making excuses for myself, and that I'm self-centred; all in all, just thinking about it makes me feel bad about myself, so, I'm not gonna talk/think about it anymore. :T *blah* On an academic note, design project is going nowhere. I have to think of a design for the coding we have to do. And I don't know how to do it but being repetitive. And I have absolutely no idea how to incorporate the compiler-ish program to make it helpful to us. The trouble is, it does a little bit of the job we want it to do, but it also essentially leaves us hanging because it is just so.. basic.. that it does not help us in getting rid of most of the repetitiveness like we want it to. So... bleh bleh bleh..... T_T And we have to get it done soon too, our aim is in two weeks and at the latest, design fair. But our practice presentation is next week, so.. *huff huff* I need to think of a solution fast! T_T On a brighter note, I just read the first volume of ヴァンパイア騎士(roughly translated as Vampire Knight) by 樋野まつり (Hino Matsuri) and, *_* it's so good! Well, not awesome good, but, I haven't had that feeling of wanting to read more of a new series for a long time. Wahhh... I wish I can read the 2nd volume too~~~ *_* The art is also quite pretty, imo. Should go read it if it gets licensed in the future. Something I've been meaning to mention but kept forgetting. The urr.. "show" that I was watching ended 3 weeks ago. Two Sundays has gone by without it already, and I've gotta say, it feels a bit odd that I don't have something to look forward to on Sunday anymore. But on the other hand, I'm relieved that it ended right before reading week, so now I won't get distracted and can finally give total focus to school. It passed a lot of significant holidays with me (and all audiences of the show too :D), coz it just so happens that xmas, new years day, as well as Chinese new year ALL fell on Sundays. :D :D :D And and, this I must say, the xmas episode coincidentally fell on xmas as well! *_* Watching it gave me all the festiveness I needed. Hehe. Too bad it missed 2-14 by 2 days, but it wrapped just at that week, so all the happyness was still fresh and lovely. :D Heh.

And that's all I'm going to say about it. The name of the "show", or the more proper term, drama, I'll make you all guess. The only hint is that the anwser is closer than you think. >:D *phew, finally got this off my chest. :]* Must be the cold, my left arm is feeling numb. Don't know when I'll be blogging next either. I foresee myself to be really busy from this point on till exam time. :T So, tata y'all. Oh, and I just found out the oscars is this sunday, so for those still wondering, that's the date. *yawn* Bed time.. bed time.. bed time.....

Who could this be?
kuu is obviously a creature born sometime ago. Its exact date of existence amuses itself greatly. But kuu itself deems this unnecessary information for the prying public. Hence will forever be unknown to the unknowing.

This writer likes to point out that kuu has an alter ego over here at CocaCola. kuu's nature is rather mean, but does pretend*ahem*attempt to be nice most of the time. It is made of water, mostly blue, and has orange spots. It is also short and round with a big head. Too bad the head size does not correspond with any kind of smarts.

kuu likes colours and pretty things, and dislikes all manners of messyness. As always, it needs to clean its room and do well in school, but things just don't always work out the way it wants it to be.

kuu is not reachable for comments by any normal means, unless you have special knowledge of its other virtual or real selves.

What could this be?
The "family" (haha!) above is from Tada Kaoru-sensei's last manga Itazura na Kiss. An excellent excellent source of information regarding the manga can be found here. As well as the reason why this is the last manga from the mangaka. I tend to treat this manga with respect because of that. And althou it's end is like that, I am glad it is able to end with a world of possibilities.

Tada-sensei's drawing style isn't the prettiest. In fact, it looks to be from such an early era that one may even be turned off by it. However, I simply just adore the story. It is probably the first manga that brought me to tears just by reading the synopsis.

It is very much a typical shoujo story, with a guy who is quite a catch, and a less than average girl pining after him. XD But the best part is it didn't just end at the usual happily ever after. What happened after is much sweeter than the first half. How I wish there is a Naoki for me. :3 Through laughters and tears, you can't help but like/love everyone in the story. Hence the reason why I didn't single out anyone in the picture.

Itazura na Kiss, or ItaKiss, as I tend to call it, ended its run in 1999. It has 23 volumes, both JP and Chinese editions are out. Do give it a read if you can find it. :)
