FF1.5
Tuesday, February 21, 2006 - 03:15 a.m.
Don't know if it's just me.. or just because I unloaded quite a number of crap from the browser, I feel FF is running faster than when I had FF1.0.7. Or maybe it just wasn't as much a cpu/memory hog as before? Anyway, wheeee~~~
Upgrading wasn't a drag, since I took the opportunity to delete a lot of extensions and themes I don't use, and just keep the ones that I will use. I did need to do some re-adjustments, but luckily, there's always either an upgrade, or an alternative, so all's good. :D But there really aren't many nice themes out there, so I just ended up using the same one as before. :T Oh well.

browsing the net with these nice comps in the library, they are CLEAN!! :D or relatively clean, compared to those from the labs. :D
So anyways, it just dawned on me that I totally dislike shoujo manga that has the girls' (and guys' !!) eyes as big as the face. They literally look like this: O_O. I recently saw some pictures, and I was like, AHHHhhhh... don't stare at me with you bigger than normal eyes!!! They look like two glass orbs on a face that leaves only a tiny area for the nose and mouth. Furthermore, the eyes has so much details in it that it just takes the focal point away from the face. Argh. I can't stand it. Where has proportion gone??
Anyway, /am hungry, goes to food, chao!
AHHH!!!

*runs around* *pulls hair* *silent screams* I can't do this. I don't know. I don't know how to do this. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. T_T /am scared /am scared /am scared. I'm so tempted to take the easy way out. Don't know. Don't know.

Ouran High School Host Club is going to be an anime! *_* The art looks just like the manga. It looks so cute! I'll have to admit I'm a little tempted to see it. But of course I won't download it, coz I really don't watch anime anymore. I guess what I'll do is just go back to the site to see if they'll have wallpapers. Hehe. This just reminds me, I have to find ways of knowing what happened and what's happening with this manga. I've stopped reading it for quite a long while, so it must have some more wacky stories. The manga itself is licensed in NA thou, so maybe I could just go to chapters and read. XD Tamaki (if I remember correctly, that's the main male lead's name) is hilarious, and it is very interesting to see his interaction with Haruhi. :DD
The interview that I didn't really applied for but since I got an interview that must've mean I applied: It went... okay I guess? I don't really expect to hear back from them thou, since... imo, don't think I was that impressive. Heh. This is pretty much my very first job interview ever. I took the interview invitation just for the experience of having an interview. It was kinda lukewarm. I felt sick on the subway going there, it's the usual one that I get in crowded places, so I was feeling kinda ill. But yea, the question they throw at me was urm.. strange, but reasonable enough that I could work at it. But I don't think my thought process worked... got a lot of probing from the interviewer, and still I was urm.. blank? Haha. Gotta send the interviewer a thank you note I heard, but I don't know what to write, so I guess I'll do that later. :D It was an interesting experience anyway, wasn't nervous, but not too excited either. Very much business as usual. ^^; Now I kinda wish I wore a jumper, coz I'm feeling a bit cold from the shirt. Heh. I guess this will be a kick start for me to start job searching. Hehe.
hiding
Tuesday, February 7, 2006 - 01:47 a.m.
I have a tendency of hiding things, or leaving things unsaid until it is absolutely the right time to disclose the info. Or, I'll wait till I was found out to actually say that, "yea, this happened, and yes, I know I should've told you". Things like that... I don't know why, but I guess it stems from the fear of getting yelled at, or it's something unpleasant that I want to put off talking about until I'm sure I can openly talk about it without crying. Something like that happened again today, and it tapped on my guilt nerve again. Because I know this 'not letting the person know' is hurtful, and as a family, things shouldn't be like that. And I'm also aware, no matter how tough you think the person is, they are still human, and they do get hurt.
The whole picture of why I/we are like that is rather complicated, and I don't want to explain. I do think this is somewhat of a flaw I have and I just wish/hope I don't do more or these things in the future, because I know it's definitely not a nice feeling to find out you've been kept in the dark. I've been on both sides of the situation, and both don't leave me feeling good. And if I can, I'd preferred to not make others and myself feel bad. So... that's that.

Eh heh.. In addition to the softwares in the previous post, I also found a free RAM program that frees the RAM in my compu when it is below a certain point. So far, I'm liking it, coz it frees some RAM when I have memory eating progs open and the response is a little faster, slightly less waiting time for the compu to finish loading. I guess you only need such a prog when your RAM is very little, like less than 512. Most compu nowadays have that or more, so this prog is probably useless for those since there'll be lots of free ram there.
Other movies I want to watch:
The Matador: It just looks funny. :D 007 in undies? XDDDD Heh. I heard it is about bonds/friendship between two guys who are down in life. :)
Nanny McPhee: And this, looks sort of scary. :D But it's a children's movie right? So it shouldn't be too bad, and it looks entertaining. :) And and and! CF is in there! *_* Haha.
Movies I watched recently(meaning, yesterday):
Down with Love: I like it. I was skipping between this and the chinese movie thou, so I'll have to borrow it to watch it in whole. But the settings, I like very muchly. It's very urm.. 60's technicolour ish, I think? Funny movie too. Renee Zellweger is sort of just the way she usually is when she's acting. ^^;; And Ewan McGregor! :) I think his playboy is very.. fun to watch. :D The story is like those old black and white romance movies. I definitely enjoyed watching it while also watching the chinese movie. Haha
雀聖: The chinese movie that I was flipping the above with. The reason why I had to switch between the two is b/c I want to watch this while it is shown on tv, it's hard to find it if I want to watch it later, while I'm pretty sure I can rent or borrow the above movie anywhere. And haha, what a funny movie this is. I literally LOL at many points, it made parodies of a lot of things, movies and tv shows alike. XDD The plot is _very_ similar to those 賭神,賭聖,賭俠series of movies back in the 80-90's. But no matter, I still find the movie majorly entertaining, even thou I don't get ANY of the mahjong related things it says. HAHA. Wish I could've taped it, definitely one good happy chinese new year movie. ^_^

Recent news:
IE7beta2 was just released. The reviews I read didn't think it was that big of an improvement thou, it sounds like IE is doing the catching up to other browser's functionalities.
Gmail now lets you select from a list of "From" addresses! *_* Before, it only allows you to completely change the sent from address, but now you get to pick from a list! This is probably old news for google fanatics? Coz I'm always slow in these things... :)
And... I've recently discovered something called: MSN skins. :D Now my msn is no longer blue! Hohoho. :P
Yahoo Widgets are cool! *_* All this time I've been wanting to find programs to monitor my sys resources, but the ones I found are either too complicated, or is shareware. :T But the widgets! They float transparently on the desktop and doesn't seem to hog up my compu. This is simply brilliant! And I also found a free for personal use process analyser prog that's like a more beefed up version of the task manager! Another one I've been searching for and is now found! *_*
Today is a happy day!
Okay now, back to homework for me. :T
kuu is obviously a creature born sometime ago.
Its exact date of existence amuses itself greatly.
But kuu itself deems this unnecessary information for the prying public.
Hence will forever be unknown to the unknowing.
This writer likes to point out that kuu has an alter ego over
here at CocaCola.
kuu's nature is rather mean, but does pretend*ahem*attempt to be nice most of the time.
It is made of water, mostly blue, and has orange spots.
It is also short and round with a big head.
Too bad the head size does not correspond with any kind of smarts.
kuu likes colours and pretty things, and dislikes all manners of messyness.
As always, it needs to clean its room and do well in school, but things just don't always work out the way it wants it to be.
kuu is not reachable for comments by any normal means, unless you have special knowledge of its other virtual or real selves.

The "family" (haha!) above is from Tada Kaoru-sensei's last manga
Itazura na Kiss. An excellent excellent source of information regarding the manga can be found
here. As well as the reason why this is the last manga from the mangaka. I tend to treat this manga with respect because of that. And althou it's end is like that, I am glad it is able to end with a world of possibilities.
Tada-sensei's drawing style isn't the prettiest. In fact, it looks to be from such an early era that one may even be turned off by it. However, I simply just adore the story. It is probably the first manga that brought me to tears just by reading the synopsis.
It is very much a typical shoujo story, with a guy who is quite a catch, and a less than average girl pining after him. XD But the best part is it didn't just end at the usual happily ever after. What happened after is much sweeter than the first half. How I wish there is a Naoki for me. :3 Through laughters and tears, you can't help but like/love everyone in the story. Hence the reason why I didn't single out anyone in the picture.
Itazura na Kiss, or ItaKiss, as I tend to call it, ended its run in 1999. It has 23 volumes, both JP and Chinese editions are out. Do give it a read if you can find it. :)
