;__; First quiz of the year and I bombed it already. I studied, though not very thoroughly, I was still comfortable with the material. But I ended up getting back to my vicious cycle of getting stuck early. So I wasn't able to do the questions at the end. The quiz is only 20 marks, and the stuffs I didn't do compared to 20 is pretty huge. Hence the bomb. :x
Like my bro said, I must study harder for next time. There's still 96% of the course to let me get it back. So I'll just continue to shut off distracting things to focus. :x

No one's been blogging.. so I'll blog - 01:15 a.m.
Don't know how often these 2 check here, but here's a belated Happy B-day for J and S who both turned XX(exact # will be withheld of course :P) 2 days ago! Sorry that I had to miss the dinner thingy and the after "party"? :x Hope y'all had fun and got nice presents thou~~ :)
On to stranger (or scarier?) news, I saw on chinese news that the police arrested some people in our old high school's premise/proximity today and they were found to have drugs, weapons, and stuffs in the car they were in. :X Didn't know our school attracts such types of people. When I was there, I thought the school was pretty ok, not a lot of troublemakers, and the worst were just some smokers or something. Guess I was wrong? Or maybe it's just that the whole city/society has become more crime-ridden? Don't know... maybe my glasses are/were too rosy.
Some movies I think I can't wait to see:
- Corpse Bride: Oooh.. Johnny Depp. :P But I'm more interested in the story, I wanna see the why and how, and hopefully it'll be funny. :D I still have yet to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Finding Neverland... But! They are on my To Watch list. :)
- Pride & Prejudice: Do I really have to say more? *_* This book is <3! A new Darcy which, by the looks of the trailer, doesn't look too bad either. XD I can't wait! I still don't like Keira Knightley's looks at certain times thou. Don't want to go into details here.. ^^;; But nothing against her as a person.. just.. certain part of her face I don't like. I can tolerate it thou! :D I won't let that deter me from wanting to watch the movie!! This may just become the 2nd movie (the 1st being the one above) I'm willing to pay to go to the theatre to watch this fall! :P | More funnies: A title of a thread on imdb already asked the question: "Okay, straight out: Firth or Macfadyen?" XD Hahahaha. I'm most definitely amused! I think I'll ask and answer myself when I've seen the movie. *_*
- Brokeback Mountain: Hmm hmm.. I read the story, it was.. not as touching as I had expected, but I still cried.. I think I've read more gut-wrenching fanfics than this. BM is a novella, not fanfic; I guess the audiences for both are different, so the writing has to cater to different demographics. I'm not used to reading that kind of English thou, as I'm more used to seeing well structured written English for novels. A lot of words there are new to me, and it was quite difficult to understand the coversations b/t the charas, but I guess this is how normal "literature"-ish fiction looks like? The movie got the Golden Lion in the Venice Film Festival thou, so hopefully it should be good? However, I don't know how I feel about Heath Ledger in cowboy looks.. Somehow, he doesn't look that appealing in the trailer. Jake Gyllenhaal looks somewhat better. Heh heh :P His face is still a bit weird thou. Heh.. Anyway.
Some other random observations:
- I still think o.bloom looks better now with beard. He looks more like a guy guy, not girly guy. XD
- Bearded seems to be a new fad for guys? I saw some celeb pics from the TO film festivals and quite some of them have beard. :O They don't look too bad either. :D
- Last I checked, the clock in the ISC's dinning room is still going backwards.
- P&P movie went to the top of the charts in the UK. *_* Why doesn't it open here earlier? I'll have to wait until Nov18. :x The review on imdb wasn't good thou.. And from the feel of the trailer, I did get a sense that this movie is probably going to be more romance-ish than I'd like, but I still can't wait!

noooooo - 02:12 a.m.
NOOOoooooooooo! >_< I missed the historical 11111 hits of my kuu page. Wahh! I was so looking forward to taking a screen cap too! ;_; Boohoohoo... And I bet it was just today that passed it too. Stupid school and general fatique that comes with it. :(
Anyway, 2 of my books came, 461 is slightly bent at one corner, but it is so obviously a new book that I'm still happy. I gotta leave a feedback on the saler in bookstore(amuk). The other one is a design project related book, may return it to ch.in later if group doesn't think it is helpful. And the last one, I may be cancelling that one if I could... so I don't have to wait and return for refund. :T
Sigh.. my precious 11111... :/

- The clock in the ISC's dinning room is going backwards! I've never seen such a thing! Well, maybe I have, but 1) I don't recall any, and 2) even if I might have, I don't think it was non-intentional. The "seconds" is just going ccw! :O
- kleenex uses fibres found in an ancient forest and is helping to deplete/destroy the forest by doing so. (link) :X

Ohh.. I didn't even realise today is Sept 2, I thought it was still Sept 1.... x_o;;; However, with September, comes school. :x Don't think I'm looking forward to that much, but that's mostly just because of my procrastination talking. I'm becoming increasely anxious over many things and I don't know, I need some focus. I know I need to do certain things, and that I do still have time to do them. But, I just can't bring myself to start. I'm blaming this and that, making excuses blah blah, and generally just doing my best to delay the inevitable. That's not good. Not good at all.
:x So yes, it's back to school blues again. I've been itching to play with simple css layout lately but can't start for fear that it'll consume my head when I really should be thinking about the reading and researching I should and am not doing. More blah. Well, at least I got my school supplies (ie: blank and line papers) buying done. Went a little overboard actually. I now have more than adequate amount of paper for this uni year. *sweatdrops*
I'm also becoming more.. bothered.. by the internet. There is just so many info out there that I end up knowing and remembering a lot of junk, and hardly enough of non-junk that I should be knowing. Part of this is brought on by google talk, and how EVERYWHERE I go lately I see someone talking about it, praising it and how it could impact the net, etc etc. And it made me wonder, am I weird for not wanting to embrace this prog? I feel that it is increasingly difficult to be at a place where there isn't an Internet chasing at you. I don't know, it could just be me being introvert, and needing a breather in this fast pace environment. Heh, but I suspect these are all excuses for my lazyness to do anything. Heh heh.
Anyway, I don't know what my point is anymore, I guess I didn't really have a point to start with. Very usual of me. But alas, September is here, and lets hope we all have a good start for the times ahead, eh? :)

What this writer can tell you is, it has an alter ego who works for CocaCola over here.
Its nature is rather mean, but does pretend to be nice most of the time.
It is made of water, is blue, and has orange spots, just like its alter ego.
Oh, it's also short and fat with a big head.
Is it smart? No, but it'd like to be.
As told in the space before this, it likes colours and pretty things, but dislikes school and mess.
Current express priorities are to clean its room and do well in school, just like all responsible beings around here.

Not a very well known manga, but the mangaka is better known among English manga fandom for her previous manga,
a 8 volume series called Kiss. There is an excellent fansite over here
dedicated to her works.
The guy above has a nickname, Wanichin, which roughly means alligator-chin. Though this picture probably doesn't
do it justice, I do think this guy is pretty hot, by manga standard. :D It's the way he is drawn! *o*
He's cool and a bit of an outcast in the dorm he stays in (because almost everyone in the dorm are jealous that
he's so much cooler than them). They either (try to :P) taunt him or avoid him altogether.
But he's actually a good person who just doesn't care to correct how others see him. :P Anyway, he's hot! *.*
Bijo ga Yajuu is currently running at LaLa monthly magazine from Hakusensha.
(But it looks to be ending soon; there is a climax on the LaLa Feb 2005 issue.
Although, the "last chapter" words doesn't appear on the preview blurb.)
So far, it is published up to vol.4 in Japanese, and vol.3 in Chinese.
