Tenipuri On the Radio [08] - Tezuka, Inui w/ guest Kaida Yuki (Fuji Syusuke)
AyaM: Hi there ^^/ I don't mind ppl linking me ^^; So, feel free to do so. But sorry, I only links blogs I check very often. ^^;;
You: will check icq soon. after I finish this entry.
continuing my point forms ^^...
(i find this a very comfortable form of blogging) XD
hahaha... what da ya know? XD the whole convo on same sex marriage poped into my head *just* before the gov'n passed the law. XDDD Anyway, good for those ppl then. I also read in the editorial of TO Star paper, this person also has the same thoughts as me. So I guess my opinion is not too weird. ^^
OOPs! I didn't watched Amazing Race :x *I* also took a nap today. Then I had to eat dinner. So I missed it :x If you watched, where did they go today?
Tenipuri Radio: HAHAha XD I have nooo idea what they're saying. Only got 2 of the shows thou. Got one from here, and from the summaries given, I was able to get *some* parts.
Got another one from a link in the tenipuri ML. It's the one I'm listening to. Don't know what they're saying.. coz they're voicing their characters and their own voices inter-changeably. very confusing :x
AN: I don't think we're abnormal.. Since those who enjoyed the con are probably the more vocal type of ppl. So, they voice their enjoyment out loud. and for ppl like us, we just don't say much, the more quiet-er part of society, so you just won't hear from us much. that doesn't mean we don't have an opinion or that we're of the same opinion as the mass ya know?
manga: I discovered a chinese BL manga scans BBS. *_* It has some nice scans there :D The only catch is that they have a points system. So I have to participate (ie: reply) to earn points to see some scans. But the points are soo hard to earn TT_TT each reply only constitute 1 pt. and I'll need to have hundreds of points and even thousands of points to get to see those scans >-< imagine how long it would be before I can get enough ;_; And since I was a newbie, I broke one of the rules (complaining about pts being too high) i think, so they took those hard earn points of mine too *angry angry* buuu... evil ppl >.<
more on manga: and did i tell you? there's this girl who ask for fanstuffs in return, in exchange for scanlation? errrr... Chinese ppl are cheap! I tell ya >.< yeah, i know, I'm a chinese too, but still... buuuu ;-; this girl zipped up the file with a password, and she forced those who wants the file to send her fanart/fanfic to put on her site in exchange for the password. she wrote on her site complainng that it makes her feel sad that ppl only comes to her site for scans and nothing else. So, now she's forcing ppl to contribute to her site. Errr.... I know I'm mean to think this, but can't she do the fanstuffs herself? since it IS her own site.. and if she wants fanstuffs from other fans, can't she just kindly invite other ppl to send her stuffs? and if no one contributes, then back to point A: do her own fanstuffs. Since I think, to make a site is to share with others your enjoyment of a series, so, put yourself into it. doesn't matter if no one visits much, just as long as you make it well, it'll eventually lead ppl to visit it. And! I think she just want to juice up her content to make ppl visit those other sections.. but personally, i don't really care.. I have a choice to visit the section i like most and only that section. And same w/ others too. In a site, there's always a more popular part and some less popular parts. In order to radicate that situation, you've gotta think how to make it better *yourself*, and do it *yourself*, not forcing others (or bribing in this case) to have others help you. it just make me mad (more like irritated). if she didn't like ppl just coming for the scans, then, maybe she should just do away with the scans altogether. and if she likes doing scanlations, then she should be like most scanlation groups out there, to not expect anything in return but the occasional praises and graditudes. People do these things because they like doing it. Things for fans by fans. and if she doesn't enjoy doing it, she should just stop.
Saint Beast: I'm... I don't know what I think of this anime, except that I'm looking at it with a detached face, and wanting to mock it. It's so bad that it's funny. I have no idea what the plot is, and I don't care either. Normally, I'd enjoy all the guys in there for the eye candy, but, this show... *shakes head* ... Is so gay... --;; Even my brother agree with me. I freezed a frame to have him look at it. A guy do NOT where that type of shirt. (the kind that ballroom dancer wears i think? with the curly ripples of cloths in front? and did I mention that the shirt is open?!!! to the middle of his chest?) Goodness.. really.. that's just so gay :x And then, there's also this incest-ish feeling revolving around this happy-go-lucky kid and his cold-to-all-but-lil-bro older brother. Argh... and the entrance this older brother had.. XDD *shakes head some more* the only thing I noticed was the lower than normal pants this guy wears. You can see his.. what do you call it?... hip bones sticking out. You know, the bones you see when ppl wear low-waist pants. He was flying down from a tree and the camera just do a big sliding sparkling? view of his.. um.. person, was gonna body. XD Did I mention also that this guy is wearing a saiyuki-sanzo type black shirt that bears his entire mid-section/stomach? Gah... even his hair is like Sanzo, a blond too. Again!! A guy! A normal!guy do not wear stuffs like that! Anime or no anime. It's just.. wrong. --;;;; heh.
okay, I think I've ranted enough for today. I'll go back to stabbing at that non-existent layout again... I'm think I should make an image first, then to fit the other stuffs in, instead of the other way around. and I took that quiz too, forgot what I got thou, so i may just go do it again. anyway... til next time~ bai!

Getbackers OST - 13 - Makubex
eh heh heh ^^; oops.. I forgot about the music video contest ^^; That was pretty good too actually :)
and where do you read about people's AN experience? I want to read too. Give me links!! :D But yeah, about the 'not having fun' thing, maybe it's just the difference in what makes things enjoyable to ppl ya know? Some ppl may really like interacting with fellow fans of anime, to share their interest and such, so that may make their con experience enjoyable. But me personally, I'm not that kind of person, you know me, I'm not a ppl person, so, it'll have to be the "content" of the con that makes or breaks the experience. and unfortunately, AN didn't work for me. I think, if the dealers room had more stuffs for me to look at, and things that I would consider buying without emptying my pocket... THEN I might like it a lil' better.
a few things that's on my mind lately...
layout: Still slow in coming... T__T
manga: Koucha Ouji... wish there are more chinese scans of this. It's just soo cute :3
Amazing Race: It's an interesting show. ^^ I want to go to those places!! well, the europe ones at least... since in the ep I watched they were in Venice(sp?). I want to goooo! ^^ But I don't think I would want to go to Africa or the Middle East... *ponders* yeah.. coz those places don't have the european classic look that I like so much. And I feel sorry for the pair/team of son & dad, who got stuck in this.. what do they call it?.. road block? the son kept failing the task and kept having to go back into the ballroom to complete it... poor guy ^^; They're probably the team that got eliminated :x
the word "married": you know how you told me that there was a gay "married" couple on amazing race? well.. something pops into my head the other day. It has to do with the whole gay/homo marriage law thingy. I was thinking that, personally, as a Catholic, I don't think it's right, meaning that, i'm okay with the Church's view that homo marriage is not recognized under the Church's law. However, I think they should still be able to marry under the public law. My views may seem weird, but what I'm trying to say is that, they should be able to marry if they want, but the event itself isn't something that's recognized by the Church. So it isn't really a sacred thing(as in celebrated by the Church), but just something they can do to be recognized by the society. hmm... sounds complicated eh? *ponder* *ponder* do I sound like a hypocrite? Coz, if someone ask me, "do I support gay marriage?", I'll answer no. But if someone ask me "should they get married?" I'll answer yes, coz I think they have the right to, just like anyone else. The way I see it, it's a person's right as part of a society, and I don't think it should be denied since being homo isn't a crime under the civil law. It's just morally wrong under the Church's law, because God intended for a man and a woman to have a life union. *ponder some more* I also kinda think of it as a mutation of human beings. Something twisted along the way, in the genes. ^^;;
and another thing... the word "marriage", what does it mean really? is it "not" a marriage if not recognized by the Church? There are common law marriages. So, the term "marriage" already has slight different meaning between the Church and society. Therefore, I think, the Church should still go on not accepting same sex marriage, but that shouldn't stop the society law from recognizing them.
online artists: I want to be good artists like them toooo ;_; But I suck at proportions.. and colours.. and faces.. and lights and shadows.. practically all aspect of being an artist. T_T I just can't draw *sob* *sob*
japanese fan artists: I don't like that they close their sites once they no longer feel like going on with the site. They usually have the courtesy(sp) to leave a page saying thanks for all your support over this many # of years and I'll continue liking this pairing or such and such. Thank you for all the visitors and blah blah blah... >< It's nice that they actually put up a good bye page.. but that just make me want to look at their page all the more. (especially when the artist was recommended to have very nice style/art ;_;) coz I want to see their art... and learn from them.. but noo, they have to close the whole site and not let these late fans (me) look at their art *crys* I want to see I want to see.. ;;_;;
ppl dying: you know that I'm shocked of anna's mom. and feel sorry for anna. ;_; help me tell her that me says hi and hope she's okay soon? and that me gives her a virtual hug? I'm not good with words, so I don't/won't know what to say.. and you still haven't told me of the other one... *still feel left out ya know* no one tells me anything... --;;
mom needs to start medication: which means I really want a job ;_; coz those medication needs thousands of dollars a year... hope I can get one, and if not, hope I can get some experience by being volunteer *goes to send out some applications*
fic pet peeves: saw this in furubaML: "that fic, I think it will include the Gure X Mayu X Tori triangle and maybe implications of Yuri between Mayu and Kana..." My expression: --;;;;;;; and general frustration at ppl who write fics like this. Ok, I don't mind the doggie/mayu(doggie's ex-gf who likes doctor)/doctor, because, like i told you, i keep thinking/hoping that doggie is really in love with his ex but couldn't be with her, and this is a "straight" love triangle (or at least I hope so). which is a plot one sees way to often in romantic stories. However, I do mind, so very much, the yuri pairing... --;;; Why oh why? do they have to add that in there? sure mayu and kana(doctor's ex) are best friends, but do they HAVE to turn a normal friendship into such a thing?? errrrr... major boo to these ppl... goes to show that ppl have really weird fantasies... and I don't even want to think about what you told me that ppl write to satisfy their fantasies... --;;;;
so... I end here with a weird-out self.. *shudders* and goes to sleep... zzzz

Getbackers OST - 01 - Getbackers
Wow.. I haven't blog in more than a week (correction: many weeks) XD. I was dead dead dead tired after Anime North. Those HOURS of commuting back and forth were really tiring. Especially if you had an empty stomach with you. ;_; Two KFC classic chicken burgers do not last 10 hours of walking around. I've learned. I need at least 2 and half chicken burgers. And they HAVE to be chicken! not Ham! I don't think I can stand the smell of hamburger. Not cheese(sp?)burger either. It has to be chicken. XD Niice chicken burgers... ummm... Yum~ I want one now :3 at 2.56 AM... coz I'm hungry XD Heh, I shouldn't talk about food... since that will just make me more hungry.
Re: Anime North one expression: -_-;; People who likes anime are fat. And if not fat, they are bigger than most people. Period. And many of them have poor hygiene(sp?). And they smells... --;; Seriously. This was the one thing that I braced myself for when I entered that hotel everyday for those 3 days of the con.
I don't consider myself a person that's extremely particular with cleaness or smell. However, the smell of sweat in that place is really something. Helen would probably die there. I'm not kiding. The smell wasn't _very_ strong, however, when you have hundreds of people there in a relatively enclosed space (say, a hotel lobby), that's just... too much for me. I think the hotel needs better air circulation. To get the air out, freshen it more. Otherwise, it's just too much. *shakes head*
On with the actual content of the con! It was okay. Definitely an eye opener. And it was interesting. To see a heighten level of anime enthusiasism. But, it's not really my thing. I wasn't interested in many of the animes that they were showing, although they seem to have more animes than CNAnime. But, like I said, I wasn't interested in many of them. One reason is coz I don't know them. Another is that, while I do know some, I also know that I have no interest in watching them. So, that leaves only a few animes that I want to watch. Not surprisingly, they were all either in the shoujo room, or in the fan-girl service room. Wait, I think it was just the fan-girl service room. But, you get the idea. Anime for girls. XD Hahaha.
Memorable ones: Fruits Basket. It was nice seeing it again. It's still funny. Thou, I didn't like hearing people laughing at places that aren't THAT funny. Maybe it's them, or maybe it's me having an odd sense of humour and all. Yes, I do snicker at some places where no one's laughing. I'm weird like that. Hahaha. Maybe it's because I know what to expect. XD.
Hmmm... what else? X. Hahaha.. It was fun. Seeing you squirm about people's ooh's and aah's in that Subaru and Kamui scene. Hahaha. Sorry, I'm mean. XD I was emotionally detached from that scene. Except that I thought, "Oh... This would make those Sub+K fans happy. And poor S****a, she's not gonna like this." And lo and behold, the squeals and cheers ^^;; And you started squirming. XD I don't know, I just find the situation humourous I guess. All things aside, I think I enjoy watching it. Since from the first few minutes of the first ep, I realize that I haven't seen this at all. ^^;
Escaflowne Movie. Woohoo, finally got to see the whole thing in one go. A condensed version of the anime. ^_^ I still like it :D Nice and to the point. Not to say that the TV anime was long or anything. I just like both versions very much. And, after such a long time since I last watched Escaflowne, I still like the songs. Good music, good animation, good actions, good looking guys *_*. Yeah, I really like Escaflowne. ^^ But one thing thou, I don't understand why they put this movie in the fan-girl service room. The movie itself is pretty shounen. A little more shounen than the balanced shoujo+shounen TV series. It has violent battle scenes. And shounen-oriented (rougher male, prettier girl) character designs. I guess, the only justification of it was because this anime has a bunch of guys fighting in it. And they are somewhat better looking than most shounen anime guys out there. Plus a huge following of girls in this fandom, maybe? Is there even a huge following of girls? Me don't know. I think it's pretty much 50-50 between guys and girls. But movie is definitely more guy-ish. You can even tell by the audience, I think more guys were there in the room than girls. ^^;; But oh well... that didn't stop me from enjoying the movie. And it's kind of good that they place it in fan-girl service room. I get to stay in that room for hours. Taking the good seats. :D Also, good to know that guys actually come to the fan-girl service room, even thou I doubt many of them knew or care these rooms were differed by genres. ^^; And!! The room was full at one point! (thou some left towards the end, oh well, gave me the good seats :3) Same as last year in CNAnime! Yesh! People DO like Escaflowne. Stupid Fox Network for cancelling it for the poor American kids. They don't know what they're missing. Although, the DVDs are out now-a-days.... XDDD *sweatdrops*
>>> break of a week or so...
so yeah, I took a break after writing that big thing up there. and, to save anyone from suffering from reading my poor english any longer, my account of AN will be in point form.
Fake: It was fun!! First time watching BL with other ppl. Good thing it's more comedy than the ..ahem.. aspect. ^^; And it's also cute. :3 Seriously didn't know it was BeXBoy thou... Should've known. ^^;; Feel sorry for the guy sitting next to me, he was squirming at the kissing scenes XD Don't think he knew what to expect. He was a good sport thou, didn't trash the anime at all, watched it till the end. ^^; But alas... what laugh it was XD Most enjoyable anime viewing experience in AN. ^_^
Interesting thought: All anime I like or view were in the Fangirl Service romm. :33 Bish Power anyone? ^_^;
Yaoi fest: Wanted to go, but couldn't stay that late. Oh well.. probably weren't that great anyway ^^;
Hikaru Midorikawa: (interesting tibits I remembered)
-Bad translator
-Stupid questions (should be to the point! ><), wasting precious Q+A time
-Don't call him a -SAMA --;;;, -san would be more appropriated
-Midorikawa-san was cute, very polite and nice. I got a "Hai" back when I said "Arigatou Gozaimashita" when signed autograph XD
-"omae o korosu" -heero. "miaka, aishiteru" -Tamahome XDD
-In response to BL works: "Totemo suki desu" XD
-Someone asked for sukisho(BLgame) line, but too bad he couldn't remember XD
-bets he gets paid a lot to do BL. that's why he likes it. and did he say it was easier to do BL than regular voice over?
-My opinion, he can do "seme" well. Can tell from some lines he spoke, but his normal voice suits being an Uke. XD
GW VAs: are very popular with girls... just as I thought. XD
people like cosplay. and exposing un-flattering parts of their body. --;;
I see fat people. --; and smelly ppl. didn't see too many nice cosplay ones.
artist. some nice one, some not too good ones. I saw a table with this sign "We draw Yaoi. Hot Gay Sex" LOL XDD
dealers room. smell of sweat. expensive, us$/cad$ --;;, not too much of a selection, kind of small. wonder how hotel will get rid of these sweaty smells in their rooms after the con. need better air ventilation.
So... all in all, Fake and Hikaru Midorikawa was highlight of the con for me. :3 Most likely won't go again next year. Like I read on b_p's LJ, 4 hours of commuting to get there... --;. Plus I don't like that it smells. CNAnime has better organization overall too. and better AIR!!! can't stress that enough. So, yeah. Here ends my report. til next time folks~ ^_^

GetBackers OST - 7 - Reminiscence
Yay! I barely passed this quarter! Should I be happy? No. With these marks, I'll get nowhere. But am I happy? sort of. ^^;; I kinda expected higher marks in this one course, but I suppose my exam was really bad. -_- But anyway, I passed! So, on to work on 3rd year and study harder!
Re: Job Search That's getting nowhere either. I don't have any of the qualifications that those companies are looking for. And a lot are not even hiring. So... my future looks dim.
Re: Anime North I think I'm going. :D It'll be an interesting experience I think. A convention that's focused on anime only. And about Hikaru Midorikawa, his BL works is not the reason I want to go. In fact, I've never even heard him in any BL voices before. So, I don't really know how good he is in those line of work. ^^;; Although I did come across this one little clip of his speaking a few days ago, his voice is a bit low for my liking ^^ I'm not accustomed to it. and I've heard better voices than that. ^^
But I still want to go see! and maybe go to a panel like we did in CNAnime. Listen to them talk and such. A real life japanese voice actor! I don't come across those too often. :D and no, I'm not a Heero fan, nor am I any of the GW boys' fan XD well, maybe Trowa, but only slightly ^^; But anyway, I won't even be able to answer if someone quiz me on how Heero sound like. So, me no big fan of GW boys :D I'm only a tiny little fan of the GW series. :D Good enough? ^^;
Re: Furuba and what you mean horrible thoughts? Isn't wanting a person (albeit a manga character) to be unattached for the rest of their lives even worst?? >.< You want him to be alone! >_< That's so wrong! I want him to be happy at least. Even thou doggie guy is fun and carefree "seemingly", I think he wants someone too. But he knows that as long as the curse still stands, he won't be able to freely find such person. Maybe he doesn't want the "tragic love life" that you mentioned, that's why he has remained unattached up to this point. And actually, not every Sohma guy has a tragic past love life. Only Hatori, the doctor. All of them have tragic 'past'. Like Hatori, it's his love life, the ribbit kid's was his mom going mentally unstable, mousie's was his childhood under Akito, cat's was being ignored and shunned by everyone... etc.
So anyway, I want a happy ending! :3 where everyone can live pass the burdens that their curse put on them! :DD And more is being revealed about rooster guy in current chapters, so I'll keep on reading to see new developments. :DD
ja~
