Tonight's the last night of the novena thing for Dad. We're having a big dinner thing afterwards for anybody who comes. For the past week we've been almost constantly surrounded by relatives and friends.
I attended all my classes all week, except for Thursday. I still watch silly TV shows and play DOA2 with Carlo and fuss over my cats. And here I am still typing in my blog. I wonder if that's strange. It's actually mornings that are more difficult for me, because it's like whenever I wake up I have to realize all over again that Dad is gone.
Sigh. Well, I'm okay. And thanks again to everyone who e-mailed or signed the guestbook or otherwise expressed their condolences. Carlo got us a prepaid internet card, so I can finally check my mail. Back to your regularly scheduled blog.

Well, we buried Dad today. (That sounds weird, doesn't it?) We've spent all of this week meeting people at the wake. It seems like absolutely everybody I've ever known in my entire life showed up. A small rainforest must have been eradicated to make all the flower arrangements that people sent. It was actually pretty cool. But then I would remember just why people were arriving in droves and sending all these flowers. It's funny; aside from the little matter of Dad up and DYING, things have been pretty cool. My new classes all seem interesting, and we have a cute new puppy. Bweh.
And thanks to Margot and all who expressed condolences. We still don't have internet hooked up, so I can't check my mail or anything. (I'm typing this from my Mom's computer at work.)

My Dad passed away last Saturday, June 16, due to complications from a sudden case of chicken pox. He was 61. He liked plain yoghurt, salads, and Credence Clearwater Revival.
