So, although I imagine this may disappoint a few people, Falling is being put on the back burner for a week or so. I'm really going with Genesis X, and inspiration to work on that has been so rare and so fitful that I don't dare just put it aside to work on later, because if I do I might not be interested in it later. Don't worry, I still love my Yamifics and I'll probably be back to it fairly soon. ^^
In other news, my psych professor told someone today "You'd make a great white rat." It made sense in context, really.

....I have not blogged today.
Right, well, I had my chorus audition, which was good. The teacher said I did better than a lot of the music majors and called the second part of the audition "just a formality", so I'm not too worried about getting in. I mean, I've gotten in two years straight.
Also did research on grad schools, which went better than expected. But is all the fault of my wacky friends in Minnesota. Why the hell is grad school so much cheaper there? Weird.
Also also finally got back to work on Genesis X, and wrote about 7 pages. Go me! I think James is honestly my favorite character in that, even if he is somewhat of a weenie at times. Well, him and Demaris. I mean, any super villain who carries around the Rules of Being an Evil Overlord is pretty amusing.

It's been an interesting day. First of all, I overslept. Great way to start a school year. Then the fire alarm went off during my second class. We all just blinked at each other, then finished class outside. That was okay, because it's nice. Then I talked to Cat, which was like an out-of-body experience. And then my computer told me that I needed to reinstall windows, but once I restarted, it was fine.

Ah, my last real day of vacation... ::deflates:: Almost done packing my stuff now. What's left will take me a couple hours, and then I'll be free to... I dunno, do something else. Right now I'm starved and need to go find lunch.
Finally saw the end of Fruits Basket yesterday. It was... strange.
Highlight for spoilers...
I dunno, I just thought they could have made Kyou's other form more... catlike. I mean, it's the vengeful spirit of the cat, and yet it looks like some demented demon reptile with rabbit ears. I didn't get it. I felt bad for him, naturally, but I think I felt worst for Shigure and Hana. I mean, seeing Shigure cry was *weird*. I can't blame him for thinking everything would work out. And poor Hana... I really liked her.
I sort of thought Tohru overreacted. I mean, you can deal with your friends turning into cats, dogs, mice, monkeys, tigers, et cetera... even sea horses. But not a weird reptile monster thing. I mean, it's not as if that's who Kyou *is*. Then again, I suppose it would have been different if I'd been there. Actually, I felt bad for Yuki, too, since he didn't know.
And Akito didn't die, damn it. All through that series, I wanted Akito to die. And instead, Tohru gave him therapy. Which was pretty funny, if only because I didn't think that was going to work. Yet it did. Ah well... he'll die soon.
Footnotes that aren't spoilers: I wish Hatori'd had a bigger part in the end, but I suppose I can't complain since other side characters (like Momiji) didn't show up in the last five episodes at all. Poor Hatori, though... you can just tell he's thinking in that last scene that someone's about to lose an eye. ::pets Hatori:: I would definitely marry him if I could. And he looks so much better with long hair.
Okay, I'm done blathering about FruBa and Hatori now. I liked the series, and I'm glad the manga is ongoing... I want to see more of it. I like TohruxYuki, but TohruxKyou is good too. They're all very cute together. And if Tohru gets together with Kyou, Yuki can get together with Hatsuharu... ::coughs:: Sorry.

So, I just got back from seeing Triple X. Which, aside from having a villain with no motive and some rather implausible plot twists, wasn't bad. Personally, I don't find Vin Diesel that hot (though he's okay, but definitely not bishonen, heh), but the girl was gorgeous. ::coughs:: And the bad guy wasn't too bad. There were cool special effects, a lot of explosions, and it wasn't a bad two hours to spend.
Plus, we got in free, which is pretty funny. Karasu just went up to the guy and told him that she worked in the AMC in Mesa, Arizona, and they let us in for free. Without even asking to bring the paystub she'd made sure to bring. Which is all pretty funny, considering that we didn't think it was going to work. I mean, she quit two weeks ago.
I also... did my laundry! ::dramatic pose:: And now I'm going to go read for a bit and go to bed.

Well, then... Atropos 38 and Falling 3 are both up on CLAMPesque, and the latter is also up on FFNet. This is my triumph for the day.
I also got up early (boo) and went to lunch with friends (yay) and paid 185$ for brake repair so my car could pass inspection (boo hoo) and got the notice that my Stafford loan had come through for school (yay!) and saw thesetwo off to school (boo) and designed a new layout for the fic site which will be up with the next update (yay).

Well, I just spent an hour online trying to find that picture of Tsuzuki reading a book and looking kind of wide-eyed, because I want to use it for the new layout for the 'fic site. I can't find it anywhere, and my YnM sketchbook (which I believe has that picture) is still en route from Arizona. I've put up a Hisoka/Tsuzuki desktop in order to get in the right frame of mood to work on Falling, and it's actually working. I've written four and a half pages of the new chapter. Hisoka is... well, picking a fight with just about everyone. But he's in a bad mood, so we'll forgive him.
There's a ton of reading I need to catch up on, plus I need to answer my email. I have no idea when I'm going to do either of these things. Christmas, probably.
Six Flags yesterday was fun. Beach day is tomorrow. Will also be fun, I sure hope. ^^
