Well, here I am. A sum up of the trip home:
Relatives visited: 6. Accidents nearly had: at least two. Car stereos broken: zero (but that was close). Fish still alive: 100% (hurrah!). Room citations: also zero (hurrah!). Motel stayed at: skanky. Rants about the war: lost count.
Exhaustion: total. Drinks had: unfortunately none.
AIM, new layout, and long bloggage: tomorrow. || 07:29 p.m. || Sunday, March 23 ||
Three things today.
One: I am leaving Minnesota today, visiting my relatives, and will be back in cloudy NH on Sunday night, so I will see you all again then.
Two: Just to point out to all you wonderful people who think they know who I was talking about in my rant, how do you know I was referring to other bloggers? Maybe I was referring to e-mails, or AIM conversations that you know nothing about. Please don't presume to think that you know anything about the situation.
Three: Jesus *Christ* our president is stupid. -_- || 11:05 a.m. || Thursday, March 20 ||
In other news...

You are Mizuhara Yomi!
Which Azumanga Daioh Character are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
I find something interesting.
I could get on this blog and say, "I read 'Jude the Obscure' yesterday and I thought it fucking sucked." Then I could go on a detailed rant about all the reasons why I didn't like it. And nobody would care. But I type one paragraph about the fact that I didn't like Prince of Tennis, and suddenly I'm the Anti-Christ. I really just don't get it.
May I please remind the public audience that this is my personal blog and I am allowed to state my own opinions without being shredded. Thank you very much. Really, I don't care if you like Prince of Tennis. I don't even think it means you have bad taste-- it just means that you have tastes that run differently than mine. But I'm really sick of having people yell at me for stating my opinion. It's my blog, not anyone else's. No one would care if I bashed a book I read, or a movie I saw, or a band I listened to. But insult one anime and Lord, the world is coming to an end.
So by all means, watch Prince of Tennis. Enjoy Prince of Tennis. But I don't have to like it, and I have the right to say so, and for the eighty billionth time, if you hate every damn thing that I say on my blog, why do you come here and read it? Do you get a chuckle or something? I'm just beyond understanding this and I'm sick of people trying to tell me I don't have the right to my own opinion or my own blog. Free Internet, people.
And hey, while I'm pissing people off, isn't our President such a huge fucking dumbass?
Thank you and good night. || 12:51 a.m. || Wednesday, March 19 ||
Well, here I am in cloudy Minnesota. And my bronchitis has come back with aveangance, so I am coughing and hacking a lung up every five minutes. This displeases me greatly. However, vacation is being fun for the most part.
Last night we watched the first episode of Prince of Tennis, to which I say: "Wahahahahaha!!" To be fair, I actually thought Ryoma was okay, if a huge brat. The bratness was funny. But on the whole, I found the entire thing ridiculous. I mean, we only watched one episode, (because we couldn't take any more than that) but it cracked me up because it was *so* horrible. I mean, who decided to make a series about tennis? The guys were also fugly. And there didn't seem to be any animation. Just a series of still shots that got progressively more and more silly. Like when the guy was green and... running. There's no better way to describe it. Right, I don't know why I'm going off about Prince of Tennis. Because I thought it was silly. And I really can't imagine how they've made such a *long* series about it.
Moving on... the car ride here was... not fun. Karasu and I came up with a new story! ....because we're stupid. But it has... fun characters. Okay, the bronchitis has obviously gone to my head, so I'm going to go drug myself now. || 10:37 a.m. || Monday, March 17 ||
I live! And I am sleepy. So I'm not blogging other than to say: "I live!" || 01:22 a.m. || Sunday, March 16 ||
Well, now that my computer has crashed one last time, apparently I'm free to go. ::rolls eyes:: Off to the wonderful world of Minnesota. ^_^ I will be back on the 23rd, but I will blog as I am able to snatch a few minutes. And I'll definitely blog when I get there to let everyone know. And now... let the... trip... begin! Or something. || 09:36 a.m. || Friday, March 14 ||
Well. This week's fic site update is a day early! Because Karasu and I are leaving early tomorrow (well, early by my standards) for Minnesota to visit peoples. ^^ So, go enjoy the site update! 'Cause there won't be one next week, since we won't be here. It has...
Chapter 6 of With Friends Like These, in which Yohji finds out about Schu's night job in a less than pleasant surprise...
Chapter 5 of The Ties that Bind, in which Alec and Corbyn have a heart to heart in their own bizarre sort of way...
Chapter 23 of WYWM, which I posted yesterday, in which ....stuff happens...
Chapter 14 of From the Shadows, in which I get on my knees and beg Asher to stop trying to figure out the plot before it's time for them to know about it...
And a new fic, which I won't bother to explain here. Needless to say, we should be working on other things instead of it. Banzai. I turned in my rough draft of my term paper today. Double banzai. It's snowing. Blar. But~ my last class of the day was cancelled, so I'm now officially on break! You know, if you don't count the class I have tomorrow that I'm not going to. ^^ || 04:51 p.m. || Thursday, March 13 ||
This... has not been a good day. It has involved a lot of doing errands and being late and spending money I don't have and arguing with my stupid computer. To quote Xander, "Throw in some rectal surgery, and it's my best day ever."
Also, WYWM 23 is up on Questionable Reality, not that I know why I bother posting it there since I hardly get any reviews and always wind up posting it on my own site like two days later.
Off to do laundry. At which point I will have pretty much done everything I need to do before leaving for Minnesota except for the grocery shopping trip, which will be Friday morning, and the packing, which will be tomorrow night. And refill my fish tank. Because as pathetic as it sounds, I can't get this bloody two-gallon thing of water open. Yes, I know I'm sad.
My heartwarming example of Stupid People for the day. The survey I handed it for my honors project has a consent form attached. It has the following two lines at the bottom:
I, ________, consent/agree to participate. I had people signing both lines. So now I'm wondering, am I allowed to use their data or not? ::sweatdrop:: || 08:42 p.m. || Wednesday, March 12 ||
I, _______, do not consent/do not agree to participate.
I feel like being completely random. (I think this is because I've been doing my references page for my paper and I can only be anal retentive for so long.) So I'm going to blog. For those of you who have asked to see a copy of the paper when it's done, I'm flattered. ^^ I'll post an HTML version... but it won't be for a while. What I'm doing now is the rough draft-- the final isn't due until mid-April. So when it's done, you can see it then.
I've discovered I have a real thing for titles that start with prepositions. Somehow it just makes them seem cooler. No, really. So far (between Karasu and I), we have a when, and, though, towards, before, until, from, with... and, uh, that's it. But really! They make cool titles.
Of course, I am liberal about stealing titles. Several of mine are song titles (Falling is Like This, Towards the Within, Fast Falls the Eventide...), or stolen from other animes (Live Through). You can tell the ones that aren't, because they're only one word. (Atropos, Reversal, Borderline). Basically, if it doesn't start with a preposition, is not one-word, and isn't stolen from somewhere else, I didn't think of it. (Karasu named Stained Glass Windows.)
The only title I've ever come up with that doesn't fit this is probably the one I'm most proud of, and that's Somewhere I Have Never Been.
Which, in retrospect, has absolutely nothing to do with the story at all. Eheh.
/random || 05:08 p.m. || Tuesday, March 11 ||
To clarify briefly before I go running off to class, I have no problems with Christianity or Christians as a general rule. In fact, in doing my research, at least half the articles I've read are pro-gay articles *by* Christians. I mean, I have to get both sides of the story to do the paper, so...
I don't know the statistics, so I don't know whether or not the bigoted Christians are the minority or the majority, but I know a good number of perfectly decent Christians, and I'm friends with some of them. So that last entry wasn't geared towards Christians-- it was just geared towards the bigoted fuckers who run that website.
Although I did find a great quote on one of the other websites: "There are two reasons why people haven't accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. First, they have never met a Christian. Secondly, they have." || 09:28 a.m. || Monday, March 10 ||
All day, or at least a large chunk of it, I've been working on my term paper about the discrimination against homosexuals in the church... and I am now supremely depressed. I was doing okay with everything, really I was, until I got to godhatesfags.com and saw a little sign that said "Matthew Shepherd has now been in Hell for 1610 days." (At least, I think that was the number.)
In all seriousness, I want to be angry with these people, but it really just makes me want to cry. How can people be that intolerant? How can they honestly believe that you're going to roast in Hell just for loving someone who's the same gender as you?
....arg. Of course, after what I've been doing I've got tons of ways to throw Biblical verse back in their face. Yay! And by the way, does anyone reading this know exactly where in the Bible the phrase "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"? I want to quote it but I can't remember where it is.
Now, to cheer myself up, I will take a break and watch the Simpsons. || 07:52 p.m. || Sunday, March 9 ||
As promised, did the fic site update. Spiffyness for me. Has... some stuff. That I don't feel like typing, and I should really be doing my homework, but I'm not. ^_^ || 02:17 p.m. || Saturday, March 8 ||
::huggles the domain:: Oh, my wonderful domain, how I missed you. ^_^
Couple announcements on that score: I should have time to do a site update this afternoon, since I couldn't do one yesterday, so check back here in a few hours to see. (I have to walk to the drugstore first to get some cough syrup though. Doctors orders. Though I feel much, much better today. 'Tis a miracle!)
IMPORTANT: I logged into my email a few minutes ago and found no new messages. So if anyone reading this e-mailed me in the past few days (since March 5th, that's the last one I got), please send it again. I don't want people to think I'm ignoring them.
And thank you to all the people who put up with my insanity and bitching over the past few days. Eheh.
And Megan... if you *ever* bring that up again... I'll revive the image of Yuuto and Seishirou in CCS school outfits playing on a playground. You know, the image that squicked you so much. ^^ ((Ha ha, already did!)) || 12:15 p.m. || Saturday, March 8 ||
::pokes fatalistic.net:: Any time now, damn it.
WYWM 22 is up on Questionable Reality. I really do want to do a site update today, but that is of course dependent on having a God damned domain to post on. ::mutters in annoyance:: So I'm going to go do it now, and as soon as the domain's back up, I should be doing an update. || 04:40 p.m. || Friday, March 7 ||
Well. Turns out that fatalsitic.net had expired. Which I didn't know it was going to do. And I didn't get any notices because they were going to my hotmail account. ::le sigh:: But now it's fixed (in theory) and the domain should be back up by this afternoon.
Right. ::feels stupid:: I'm going to go do homework now. || 01:07 p.m. || Friday, March 7 ||
Well. Fatalistic.net is down, it snowed here and made everything Godawful slippery, and apparently I have bronchitis. This week just keeps getting better.
Kimura-chan, our spring break starts on the 15th, the Saturday, and Karasu and I are leaving on the morning of the 14th for Minnesota. We'll be back the 23rd. When's your spring break? || 04:30 p.m. || Thursday, March 6 ||
Still sick and still bleh, but going to parts of an anti-war protest tonight. Or, well, a lecture. Because that's all I have time for. Pathetic, ain't it? I might have gone to the march this morning, but given that I've still got the Super Death Flu and it's raining here... it seemed like a bad idea.
Also, this conversations from last night cracks me right the hell up, so I'm blogging it for everyone's amusement. Especially mine.
Me: I so don't want people to ever write fanfiction for my stuff. The concept scares me. Ok, I'm done avoiding my homework now. || 03:46 p.m. || Wednesday, March 5 ||
Ria: why?
Me: Because my friend Anki mentioned the concept of Demaris/Adam slash and from then on, my brain revolts whenever I think about it.
Ria: ewwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: See??
Me: It was actually pretty funny. "I did it all to impress you, Adam!"
Ria: ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew
Ria: *is thoroughly squicked*
Me: So that's why I don't want people to write fanfiction for my stuff. Because sooner or later, someone will actually *write* that.
Ria: I see your point ^^;;
Me: and personally, I think Adam/Shai would be worse...
Ria: Worse... maybe not. Icky, yes
Me: Well, worse in that there's a significant age gap *and* a father son relationship. I mean, Demaris and Adam are mortal enemies, but that's really the only thing speaking against that.
Ria: Well, Demaris is a real bastard...
Me: True, but so is Seishirou.
Ria: Goooooood point
Me: Seishirou/Subaru isn't *that* much unlikely than Demaris/Adam... Demaris killed Adam's wife, not sister, but still... okay, I'm totally squicking myself here.
Ria: So... um, how about them Dodgers? ^^;;
Me: .....they're not having sex with my characters, so they're good enough for me.
I can already tell this isn't going to be a good day... I'm still sick and I was supposed to get the chance to sleep in, so I might feel better... I stayed up later than I meant to, but since I don't have class until 1h30 I figured I was good to go. But then I got a phone call at 9h20 this morning and I've been awake ever since.
Arg. I also have two short papers due tomorrow. My journal needs to be turned in for my seminar on Thursday (which means I have to write about 10 journal entries, so that's about 6-8 pages of writing there). An annotated bibliography due Monday. (Which means that I have to read and summarize a bunch of articles.) And the draft of my paper for seminar due next Thursday -- that's 10 to 15 pages of research that I haven't started yet.
All this while preparing for Spring Break. Which I'm beginning to think I won't live long enough to see. || 11:17 a.m. || Tuesday, March 4 ||
I've been living in the Twilight Zone today. No, really. I checked my phone messages wondering if someone had called. No sooner had I hung up the phone, then they called. I talked about the lack of submissions for the literary magazine at lunch. Came home, and bam! Two more in the mailbox. I checked my email to see if I'd gotten a message for someone, closed the browser, and bam! The phone rang and it was them.
This is *so* weird.
Snail count: fifteen. Whoo boy. || 04:16 p.m. || Monday, March 3 ||
To respond to everyone who has left a comment... (i.e. man have I been blogging a lot lately...)
Kimura-chan, nothing happened. Clark decided to show a video instead of have the discussion, so, crisis averted. Though I didn't get to shove a textbook down his throat, I think it was probably all to the good.
The snails may be cannablistic, because they're too big for the fish to be eating them-- my fish are small, like neons, and the snails have gotten pretty big. Karasu has postulated that they may be crawling through the grish lid that I have... but honestly, I think they're just hiding in the rocks in the bottom.
Kai, though there may be RuroKen fanfiction from me in the future, it won't be RxS or any other male/male pairing... I just don't see Kenshin yaoi... at all. Everyone in it is straight. Eheh.
Rice... I sure hope you didn't actually lick the screen. O_O
And now, to give my fish an aerator. || 07:12 p.m. || Sunday, March 2 ||
Okay, so, my domain has officially lost its mind. I got an e-mail last night saying that we were three megs over the limit on disk space. This confused the hell out of me, since I thought we still had at least 50 megs left, and there was no *way* that the fic site update had been three megs of stuff.
But still, better safe than sorry, so I went through and cleared out my old layouts and some other crap that had gotten stuck in the fics folder by weird accident.
And *now* it's telling me that I have 100 megs of free space, and I *know* I didn't delete 100 megs of stuff last night. I am so confused. ::sweatdrops::
So, uh, if fatalistic.net goes down or something, you know it's because... something went weird. Weirder. ....hell, I'm just going to go wander off dazedly now.
PS: Kenshin and Saitou's fight was like the coolest episode ever. || 02:39 p.m. || Sunday, March 2 ||
Well, I spent most of my weekend so far watching Kenshin, so prepare yourself for a long wondrous entry about how much I adored it. Mild spoilers, so if you haven't seen Kenshin and plan on it, you might want to skip past this and go read Legolas' very secret diary. ("Whee!")
So, I think it's quite obvious at this point that I absolutely adore this series. ^_^ I really do love Kenshin; he's not my favorite but I love him anyway, which should say something about how much I LOVE SANO, who *is* my favorite by now. I just... wah! ::hugs Sano:: I love him to peices. Especially the way he purposefully got arrested so he could find Saitou and eventually find Kenshin.
I still love Yahiko, too. Actually, I like all the characters, even Kaoru. For an anime heroine, she's honestly pretty cool. Okay, she had her dumb episode, but I'm pretty sure all characters are entitled that. Just thank God that Megumi bitch-slapped her, because if she'd lain around saying "Ken...shin..." any longer, I would've been really annoyed.
So now I've met pretty much all the main cast. Hm, what can I say?
Shishio is a good villain. I found him kind of hard to take seriously at first, because those tufts of hair coming from his bandages are just so *silly* looking. But I think he's got every right to be crazy and want to destroy the government. Eheh. Though I'm not sure I buy that thing about the fires of hell burning inside him, but... Anyway, I love the little mind game he played with Kenshin, telling him he had taken over that village for the hot springs. Hee. And also, what he did to Houji was *harsh*! But I don't like Houji, so that's okay.
Although since I'm watching the dub, Shishio has Spike Spiegel's voice actor. So, if I ever wanted to hear Spike laugh maniacally, I have now. Oh! And I love the part with the battleship that Sano sunk, and Shishio was all off cursing because he underestimated Sano. XD
As for the other bad guys... well, I like Soujirou. He kinda creeps me out at times, but I like him. It's the giggle that really gets to me. Without that, he wouldn't be as creepy. But I love the way he's perfectly polite and respectful, but you know it's all bullshit because he knows he's better than you. I'm waiting to get to his backstory and everything so it's explained why he's so... well... fucked up. And a fifteen year old remorseless assassin. Heh.
Yumi is pretty cool too, and I like Anji even if his morals and philosophy are... uh... just a bit off. The rest of them are either weird (like the big pink guy), or annoying (like Usui. DIE, USIU, DIE!!).
And as for Aoshi... yum, but he needs to have that stick pulled out of his ass. And then he needs to be given a good bitchslap with it. Come on, Aoshi... I know you're crazy and you carry around people's heads and bury them, but honestly, did you *have* to do that to Okina? ::sulk:: Though I liked Kenshin's little speech about how there had to be some humanity left in him, since he hadn't killed Okina.
I expected to really hate Misao, from what I knew about her, but somehow she manages to not be annoying. I don't know how she does it, but she does. So I like her! ::snuggles::
Then, of course, there is Saitou. Saitou *cracks me up*. He's so funny in a sardonic way. Of course, my first impressions were that he was ugly. I mean, honestly, every time he comes on screen I think "Man, he is so ugly." But other than that I really, really like him. He's just SUCH an asshole, I can't help but like him. And of course it's hysterical that he has a wife. ::snrk:: And Kenshin and Misao's faces when they found out that he has a wife were priceless.
Where I left off, Sano was in the middle of his fight with Anji. I don't know what episode we're on, since these are all rentals, but I imagine it's somewhere in the mid to late forties. So I'm wondering, if the final duel with Shishio is this close, how is the Kyoto arc going to stretch on another twenty episodes or so? I'm quite confused. But happy, because it's lots more Kenshin to watch. ^_^
Right, on to other things than Kenshin... oh wait, there really aren't any. Well, uh... gonna go... do something else now, then. ^_^ || 11:24 a.m. || Sunday, March 2 ||
Wow, this update took me a long time to do. ::sweatdrops:: So yeah, 'fic site update! How long will it be before we start writing RuroKen fiction, you ask? ....hopefully a long time. -_- ::tries to curb the growing obsession, which is not being helped by the six volumes rented two hours previous::
Lotsa stuff in this update, since there wasn't one last week. WYWM 20-21 and chapter 6 of the 003 ficlet, which were already posted previously. Also...
Chapter 9 of Fast Falls the Eventide, in which I prove that I did *not* forget about the fic and Rowan reminds us all of how crazy he really is...
Chapter 13 of From the Shadows, in which we attemped to make Dawn at least a quasi-sympathetic character...
Chapter 7 of the Harry Potter fic, in which there are actually hints that this fic might have a plot...
Chapter 3 of With Friends Like These, in which Yohji finally gets to meet Schu, which is preceeded by Schu meeting Farferello and getting drunk, so all sorts of interesting things happen...
And finally, the prologue and first two chapters of The Ties That Bind, in which not only do Karasu and I prove to the entire world that we're crazy by continuing this saga further, but we introduce two of our strangest characters yet. They could be superheros. Mouthy Prick Man and Flat Affect Man. ::Sweatdrops::
So yeah, have a blast everyone.
Snail count: 10. What the fuck?? Where did the little buggers go? || 02:38 p.m. || Friday, February 28 ||
Well, soon I have to go to my psych of prejudice class. We're doing our unit on sexism now (which is interesting, since the class is 14 girls and 2 guys, plus one male professor), and today we're talking about domestic violence. And I'm honestly wondering if the fact that I don't think I'll be able to keep my temper is a valid reason to skip.
You see, one of the two guys in the class used to date a very good friend of mine. And he verbally and emotionally abused her, and then even started to physically abuse her before she broke up with him. And then he proceeded to stalk her for months.
And if he starts spouting his platitudes and Biblical bullshit like he *usually* does during this class, I might honestly have to leap around the table and shove our textbook up his nose. There are really no words for how much I cannot *stand* his sorry fat little ass.
....I think I'll go ask my professor if it's okay if I skip on those grounds.
But first I'm going to lunch... the psych honor society is having a presentation on applying to grad schools that I need to go to between 12h30 and 1h30, but it's a brownbagger which means I can grab lunch and eat it there, yay.
And on another note, I am DLing Kenshin manga, which I don't have space for on my computer, and Kenshin is adorable. That is all. || 11:50 a.m. || Thursday, February 27 ||
You know, thanks to her, the more I think about Fuuma/Keiichi, the more I like it. And this really, really frightens me. But it would be so *pretty*. ::squees::
Okay, I think it's obvious at this point that I should be in bed. || 01:31 a.m. || Tuesday, February 25 ||
So... the last little chapter of the 003 fic, Mating Habits of the Species Shinigami is finally done, and is up on FFNet after much arguing with it. And now I'm going to do my tons of homework. || 07:36 p.m. || Monday, February 24 ||
Well, it's official, my baby fish is a male guppy. It's big enough now for me to see the coloring on it. It will be a very nice orangey with spots on its tail. Yay! I'm amazed it lived this long, honestly. ::sweatdrops::
Snail count: Thirteen. Where the *fuck* are they coming from, honestly? I need to get an aerator for the tank because the bloody things are massacreing my plants, which are supposed to be providing oxygen for the fish.
.....*sulk* || 02:26 p.m. || Monday, February 24 ||
So... first, my announcement for the day, which is that WYWM 21 is up on QR. In all its angsty glory.
Secondly, KENSHIN! Kenshin RULES! XD
Yeah, can you tell what I spent a lot of this weekend doing when I should have been doing my homework? For years, I never wanted to see Kenshin. I'd seen like ten minutes of the first episode and it just seemed so hokey and ridiculous... but Karasu talked me into it.
....how? By telling me about Yahiko.
I know that sounds ridiculous. But seriously. Sanosuke seemed cool enough, and so did Kenshin really, but... it just didn't seem worth it somehow. But I love young, bratty, precocious characters. They're one of my favorite character frameworks. So when she told me about Yahiko, and specifically about how he likes to gnaw on Sano's head when he's annoyed, I just had to see it. ^^
The third volume was checked out, so annoyingly, I didn't get to meet Aoshi. Which is too bad because I wanted to see him. I also haven't gotten to Sojirou yet, which is okay with *me* because I've heard about his genkigenkimurderous mode, and that kind of freaks me out. But, uh, other than that, the series is very very cool. Okay, still hokey in places. But it reminds me of Trigun, really. In fact, it reminds me of Trigun so much that whichever came first I bet could sue the other. That or it's by the same person.
...Also, does it seem really weird to anyone else that Kenshin's voice in the dub is the same as Legato's? That's... just hysterically wrong, somehow.
Have abandoned my car to my sister. ::sigh:: That's about the only other that's going on in my life. Well, that and that Karasu and I wrote a bunch over the weekend so the next update will be large and impressive. Go, us!
Today's quote... this was written on an opinion board in our student center, proving that not all the students here are stupid or unamusing: "Dear President Bush-- if you invoke my name in any more of your speeches, I'm going to come down there and bitch-slap you. --Jesus Christ." || 08:49 p.m. || Sunday, February 23 ||
I think I'm starting to seriously damage my leg... I have a huge blister that's making me walk funny, and it's starting to strain the muscles really bad. Damn it all. It's all the fault of my new sneakers and the crappy Band-Aids that I bought to help break them in. ::sulk::
In other news, as much as I am loath to be lynched, there will not be a site update this weekend. For the one chapter of WYWM, which is already up on QR anyway, it just isn't worth doing an update. Hopefully I'll have a less busy week (wahahahahah!!!) and have some more stuff up next weekend.
Or it's possible that she and I will have a big jolly writing party tomorrow and I'll do an update on Sunday. Er... really. I have no idea. I'm just trying to cover my bases.
But, yeah. I had a ton of homework this week. In fact, it's still not all done, and I really should be doing it. But what the hell. Tomorrow I will answer my email (this means you, Hiki-chan!), too. || 04:51 p.m. || Thursday, February 20 ||
Well, it's official. My parents have been sucked up by aliens and replaced. They sent me money. They actually decided that my trip to Minnesota counted as at least quasi-educational and they sent me 200 dollars to help me fund it. It's so weird. Really. Pod people.
In other news... classes should have been cancelled today, and were not. This makes me sulk. But at least I only had one to go to. The other wasn't held. Yay. Or something.
|| 04:56 p.m. || Tuesday, February 18 ||
Well, it's snowing like jeepers here, and though I could use any number of colorful obscenities regarding this, that's about all the news that's fit to print. Well, that and that WYWM 20 is up on QR. I don't even want to guess how many chapters this is going to be when it's finished.
I have tons of homework for tomorrow, and I'm trying to convince myself to do it, but it's really hard given that I might not have classes tomorrow. In fact, there's a good chance that I won't... they cancelled them tonight. But if I do, and I don't do it, I be fucked.
Snail count: eleven. Stay tuned for further developments. || 07:31 p.m. || Monday, February 17 ||
Happy Birthday, Liz! Make it a good one ^^
I have been home all weekend, which has been nice... thus the lack of bloggage and AIM... stuff. Rahr. I got like no sleep, so going away now. || 01:45 p.m. || Sunday, February 16 ||
As promised, fic site up date. Pretty much exactly when I said it would be, yay, except on the wrong day. ::sweatdrop:: Anyway, there's not much...
Chapter 19 of WYWM, in which Lucian gets to have coffee with Bren and it makes him a very, very happy little Lucian...
Chapter 12 of From the Shadows, in which there is a ton of cute Galen/Asher stuff because our plot-inspiration sense was failing, and anyway it's more fun to just write cute shonen ai...
and chapters 36-38 of Stained Glass Windows, in which the story is finally over, and everyone lives happily ever after, at least until the sequel. ::coughs:: Not that I said anything about a sequel. Of course not.
...obviously, I need to get more sleep at night. || 01:30 p.m. || Friday, February 14 ||
Well, so this is what wound up being my V-Day layout. Spiffy. ^_^ I love irony. And I hate Valentine's Day, so that's all right. I prefer to call it "Singles Awareness Day". Later, my neechan and Karasu and I are going to go hang out at the mall and glare down all the couples. ^^
My fish tank is infested with snails again, my computer mouse squeaks, I forgot to get an important form signed, and band has turned into a war zone. I did not have the best week.
On the upside, the fic site update will be *today*, not Sunday like planned, because I won't have time Sunday... I will announce that when it's done. (Hopefully in about a half hour or so.) And off I go. || 12:52 p.m. || Friday, February 14 ||
