Hmmm.... there's a difference between only slashing characters with GAY written on the forehead with a bright pink G, and slashing characters who are obviously *straight* or obviously have *no* interest in each other.
Examples. The Bible, for one thing... eheh. But also most Harry Potter pairings (the *only* one of those that's even feasible in my opinion, is Remus/Sirius), most Weiss Kreuz (sorry! They're straight!), almost all Gundam Wing, except Quatre/Trowa, which is hinted in the series (also sorry! they're also straight! and I'm a victim of that one myself) or some more bizarre pairings (CCS is a good example for this -- Touya/Syaoran? People, please!).
So I'm not going to get involved in a huge discussion. But I think we more straight-laced people (I'm straight-laced? That's scary) have a write to dislike weird stuff like that. But that's just me! And I should be in bed. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like most GW and WK yaoi (if it's well written), but sometimes I think people take it a little too far.

May: South Dakota. Parents. Four days on a bus. Enough said.
June: Jobless, broke, more doubts about future. Lot of writing time, though. Whoah... is that when I started Genesis X? Or was it earlier? Maybe something decent did happen.
July: Worked at Marshalls. Again, enough said.
August: Birthday. 20. No longer a teenager. *Massive* doubts about future. NBCi bites the big one.
September: Back to school. Not so bad, believe it or not. Flirted with Tom. Came to the conclusion that I didn't want to date Tom in the slightest. Decided I need to go to grad school. More doubts about future.
October: Halloween! One of the few fun times of the year. Karasu angst. Karasu's angsting rubs off on me. I angst. And probably had doubts about the future, but I don't remember any specifically. Started the 'fic site, which actually spawned some *hopes* for the future, since everyone seemed to like the stuff.
November: Thanksgiving. Got bitched at by parents. A *lot*. Discovered that my grandparents are so old that they're not the people I grew up with anymore.
December: Vacation. Thank God. The best bloody month of the year. Once I lived through finals. Which, of course, led to doubt about the future.
Wow, can anyone tell what I spend *way* too much time thinking about? I never really thought of myself as a future oriented person. I think it's brought on by the fact that virtually nothing important happened this year. The story of my life.

Had a good Christmas. Yummy food. Brother and sister did not kill each other. Parents 1500 miles away, but oh well. My brother just left to visit them, so I have the house to myself for a week. Yay! I got X16, a couple books, Wonderboys (which is a hilarious movie), some windchimes (I collect them, it's my goal to cover my ceiling in them someday so I'll have a reason to be glad I'm short), nice new driving gloves, and some jewelry. And a little fuzzy hippo, which is quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen.
And, you know, X16 is depressing... but why is Seishirou kissing his mother on the last page? I mean, he's really kissing her! It's... disturbing!! Extremely!
Planning another site update for later this week. Karasu (who is currently unable to blog because her computer is a dork) will have another chapter of One Way Mirror up... I'll probably have another of Live Through. Plus all the usual stuff.
