You know what I really need to do? Go back and fix the prologue of WYWM. There's a ton of stuff in it that's inappropriate now that I've gotten a bit of a firmer grasp on the characters and the story. Like Alec being in his last year of college-- um, no. And Skye isn't in it at all, since he chose to hijack the story. And I changed the specifics of Alec's memory condition, too, so all the stuff about Phineas Gage is irrelevant. ::sigh:: Yes, I really should do that, and yet I probably won't do it any time soon, because I'm lazy.

My schedule for this week runs thusly:
Monday: Revise and *finish* this fucking honors proposal so it can be turned in.
Tuesday: Write sociology essay.
Wednesday: Finish writing sociology essay. (There are three, actually. Three to five pages each. Which means nine to fifteen pages total. I can do that in two days, right? ::sweatdrop::)
Thursday: Write as much as possible of Psych Testing essay. (4-6 pages, I think.) Also, choir dress rehearsal, which will take probably about three hours. Gack.
Friday: Finish Psych Testing essay. Or else. Choir concert.
Saturday: Trip to Boston? Pretty please? ((Read as: yeah, right.))
Sunday: Write Sensation and Perception essay. (The assignment: Sum up everything you learned this semester. Yikes. 8-10 pages, maybe?)
Monday: Hopefully finish S&P, turn in sociology.
Tuesday: Turn in Psych testing. Study for S&P.
Wednesday: S&P final, also turn in S&P essay. Study for Psych of Learning.
Thursday: Psych of learning final.

Well, I'm back! So this will be a long entry. ^_^
Had a pretty good break. Didn't do as much of the homework as I should have, but that was okay. In fact, I spent pretty much the entire five days reading, eating, sleeping, and watching movies. On the whole, a very good vacation. Saw my parents, which was not too bad. My brother was being a bit of a dick for a while, but I also had PMS, so it was probably at least my fault.

Had a great Thanksgiving dinner. Ten people there! We went through a 20 lb. turkey, 10 potatoes worth of mashed potatoes, a loaf of bread, a head of cauliflowers, two squash.... I could keep going with this list, but it seems unnecessary. ^_^

So, moving on, the only thing I did of interest this week was see Harry Potter and the CoS. Thoughts follow, so just in case I *wasn't* the last person on earth to see this movie, you might want to scroll down a few paragraphs.
On the whole, I liked it. It moved *way* faster than the book, but that was okay. And the fact that it was a mystery added to it. I think it made a better movie than the first book did, even though I like the first book better.
Let's see...other thoughts. No fistfight in Flourish and Blotts! Wah. No scary Lucius in the scary store, too. That seemed like a bad thing to leave out. Along with the warnings about doing magic outside of school.
I liked Lucius. Thought he did a pretty good job at being... well, superciliously evil. ^_^
The polyjuice potion was kinda icky, but kinda cool.
.....Harry speaking parseltongue sounds just like a Ringwraith. I half-expected him to say "Baggins" at some point just for a joke. ((On that note, does anyone else think that J. K. Rowling based the dementors off the Ringwraiths? They seem an awful lot alike. End side not.))
The bit with Ginny kind of came out of nowhere, but I thought that reading the book too, so that was okay. They skipped Percy's girlfriend, so I sure hope that *she* won't be important later.
Speaking of skipping things, were Fred and George even *in* the movie? o_O;;
If Hagrid has that many spiders in his hut, I'm never going there. Ever.
Car! I hope the car comes back in a later book.
The ending was syrupy, but it was in the book too, so that's okay then.
Tom Riddle.... was almost disappointingly normal. ::shrugs:: And I think he should have been there when the phoenix saved Harry. That worked better in the book. Fawkes is cool, though.
They skipped the Deathday party, but that was okay because I hated that scene. I liked Myrtle, though.
Not enough Lockhart, damnit. Though Brannagh did a very good job, I thought. Particularly in his very brief "evilish" stint.
The dueling scene kicked ass.
But here's my big question, really. The basilisk was in the walls, and Harry could hear it speaking. And no one else could. But that makes no sense. Harry's ability to speak Parseltongue should have made him able to *understand* it when no one else could, not *hear* it. Everyone should have been able to hear it. It just would've sounded like random hissing. ::sighs:: Ah well, as Mark would say, "There are no plotholes."
Anyway, got a bunch of stuff planned out for When You Were Mine over vacation, so I'll be posting chapter eight tomorrow, along with the end of Genesis X. Hopefully I'll be able to get cracking on WYWM now. Of course, what with finals coming up, maybe not.
Got a four hundred dollar advance on my inheritance from my grandmother. Which I suppose it's callous to be happy about, but now I can buy people Christmas presents, which I wasn't going to be able to do.

Karasu and I are having a CONTEST! ::coughs:: Go us. Given that we're attempting to get And I Will Touch the Sky published, it needs a better title-- TtS was supposed to be a working title, so we never came up with anything better. So we're holding a contest for people to come up with a title for us.
There is one rule of submission: you can submit as many titles as you like.
The reward? A side story of your choice from Touch the Sky. (Or Windows, I suppose.) Our only rules? No requests for anything blatantly AU. (Like, no asking for Andy/Nicky stuff after Andy is happily settled with Ryan.) And don't ask for the "How Liam and Nicky met" side story-- Karasu already plans on writing that.
So, yeah. Suggest away. Either e-mail us, leave it in the comments box, leave it in the guestbook, whatever-- as long as we have your e-mail so we can contact you if you win.

No, this has nothing to do with the fandom. I'm just blowing some steam because I'm *really* pissed off right. So, I sing in the Chamber Singers here at my college, and this is my last year so I tried out for one of the solos and got one. Whoopee. Today we're going over them with the rest of the choir. And no, Mark and Jason and I don't do ours perfectly. And the group after us does even fucking worse.
What gets me here is the way our oh-so-wonderful accompianist reacted to this. When the second group was singing? Well, it's a group of music majors and favorite students, and he fucking BABIED them. He played their notes along with them instead of the accompianment. He didn't say a God damn word about the fact that their singing was below par. But when *we* fucked up? Oh, then he just stopped playing entirely, and said that we were so off he "just couldn't continue." Well, fuck him. I HATE the way the music department in our school plays favorites. I'm not a music major and neither is Jason (I don't think), so we don't get special treatment. We don't even get a fucking accompianment, even though we worked on our solo for an hour on Friday and it was obvious that the other group hadn't even so much as touched theirs.
I had to leave the choir room because I was actually crying, I was so fucking angry. Then the choir director asks all the soloists to stay after so we can work on our parts. So I sit there after everyone else has left and I could be home doing other things, but does he get to *us*? Oh, no, of course not. He did every fucking solo in the second half of the program, except for us.
And on a TOTALLY unrelated note, you know what else really pisses me off? People who think they're just so fucking deep. They theorize and ponder on everything, and God fucking forbid someone else's opinion differs from theirs. Then they just become "unappreciative" of deep thought or of argument or some crap like that.
So let me tell all you Deep People something-- people are shallow. EVERYONE is fucking shallow, and the deeper you *think* you are, the more shallow you get. So why don't you just shut the hell up and leave the rest of us be.

So, my story for the day. I was in a crappy mood yesterday and was really having trouble concentrating on my homework, so I decided to take a break. But I still wanted to accomplish something, so I decided to clean out my hard drive, which was in desperate need of being done.
Some people may remember the fic Skewed Views that Karasu and I were working on.... ages ago. We eventually stopped writing it because not only did we lose interest in it, but we lost nearly an entire chapter to the computer demons.
....I found that chapter yesterday.
So now we're out of excuses to not finish it. Eheh. So who knows what the next update may contain... ::dramatic music::
In other news, the next month of Stained Glass Windows is so complicated, with so many things going on at once, that Karasu and I have been reduced to drawing it all out on a calendar so we don't lose things.

Well. Tonight's BuffytVS was creepy. And I didn't like it, heh. Though not only because it was creepy. The vamp that Buffy was talking to was actually pretty cute. Mostly, I didn't like it for an unnamed something that Andrew did in the last five minutes.
....Buffy has tainted me when it comes to the very ends of shows. It packs more misery into the last three minutes of every episode than I would think possible. When I'm watching other shows now, I'm always really nervous right towards the end, sure that someone is doing to die or something. ::sigh::

I think my school is cursed. No, really. My first two years here, no one died at all. Last year, one student died of a heart condition. This year, not even done with the first semester yet, three students have died -- all within a month of each other. I don't know about the first one, but the second two were both in car accidents.
...sort of makes me not want to go anywhere. Not that I'm a superstitious person by nature, but this is getting distinctly freaky.
I'm going to try to get a site update done soon. There'll be more of a bunch of things, since I worked some on Eventide over the weekend and Karasu and I got a bunch of Windows done. I also have a chibi Yami fic that isn't getting posted until D writes the next chapter of her Shini!Muraki fic. So everyone can hound her. ^^
There was no point to this entry. I think it was just an excuse to a) not study for my psych exam on Wednesday, and b) stare at Dark.

Well, had a very interesting day. At twelve thirty last night, had to drive her home so she could go to her psychotic sister's wedding. No, really. She decided to get married on Friday, and did so on Sunday. She didn't have the twelve dollars to get the marriage license and dragged her groom to the altar.
...moving on, then we went to Boston and did sight-seeing touristy things, which I never get tired of despite how much I do them. We went to Simon's church. No, really. Simon, from Windows. That's a real church, and we went there. Got pictures too. And found out, due to sheer dumb luck, they really *are* a gay/lesbian friendly church, so we don't even have to change that section like I thought we might.
Came back here, wrote. Threw a whole bunch of fanservice into Windows because... well, probably because we need to get laid, but that's not the point.
Speaking of needing to get laid, new layout. Dark. Daaaaaarrrrrrrk. ::drools uncontrollably:: My God, he is such a hottie. Heh.
And now, I will wander off to do other things. Probably torment Lukas some more.
