The last day of another year...another year of school, of Aussie adventuring, and my discovery of HTML...ah, the nostalgia. And still Kokaze's obsession with manga deepens. Hey, at least my drawings are improving...speaking of which, found out that the horrible conscience-torturing math assignment isn't for a grade...oh thank you god. Threads of Fate (or Dewprism) is most interesting, as my little brother got past the slightly demented mini-game sections last night, yet I still do not see the point of spending days in front of the television clicking away at a controller. *sigh* I do not possess the mind of a gamer, alas.
Fanaticism has a new Sono te wo Dokero vignette/monologue up (result of another late-night fic bunny), and one more (a longer one, with gratuitous amounts of sap and joy) is on the way. The world needs more Sono sap. In fact, the world needs more Sono fics, period.
My my, Morgana, it seems the captive thing is contagious...I always knew you had it in you, my dear. *snickers* By the way, have concluded the reading of a marvelous Tai/Fuu fic on FF.net. *sighs in bliss* The only bad thing is that the author apparently decided not to finish it. Have a very lovely New Year's!

Ah, have finally done what the rest of the world had done several days ago (always a little bit behind)...that is, I went and watched LOTR yesterday. *deep breath* Anyone who hasn't seen it, it's really absorbing for a three-hour movie except for the part where Arwen pops up for no reason whatsoever...oops, did I spoil anybody? And of course they shattered my illusions about Elrond being blond and sparkly like Galadriel (aka the bleach lady). But the highlight of the movie was of course...Legolas! *hearts* Such eye candy! *wipes drool from chin* Anyway, go see it if you haven't.
Am looking for a Youzen/Taikoubou (sp? read my manga in Chinese again) fic...have found exactly ONE. (Ah, wonderful Shi Lin-san...T_T) One fic without gratuitously drooly paragraphs like "long fingers caressing his smooth warm skin" or whatever. *makes face* Well then, when I somehow find the rest of the books I shall write a heap of 'em! AHAHAHAH!

And today, my dear people, we move on the measly two volumes of Houshin Engi I now proudly possess. (Not that I'm not grateful or anything...)
Houshin is one of those very well-drawn shonen manga that appeals to the eyes as well as to the humor-hungry psyche (think post-CLAMP depression). Its character design is...interesting (those shoes...really gotta love those shoes...). The only lacking point I found with it is the presence of large-chested women in skimpy skintight costumes. But which shonen manga doesn't have those?
I don't know what other people familiar with the original Chinese version of Feng Shen(Chinese for "Houshin") thought of the plotline...for a Japanese manga artist, the essence of the plot is quite well preserved. Or at least better than I thought it was going to be preserved. All in all, I deeply want the rest of the series. *hint hint*

Merry (late) Christmas, everybody! <_<;; My mother was on the computer all yesterday reading online Chinese novels, so...T_T Anyway! Got a whole pile of stuff from my lovely parents, thank you thank you! ~____~\ Most important is...Sono! That's right, ladies and gentlemen, I am now the proud owner of Sono te wo Dokero ("Off your Hand!") volumes 2, 6, 7, and 8!! *dies of joy* And of course that means fangirlish ranting.
First off, I find that Katsumoto-sensei's style, although not "gorgeous" like CLAMP's, is eloquent and perfect for her tale of the supernatural and of the relationship between Hotarou, Tatsuki, and Yuto. Secondly, her story is gripping and, to my delight, holds endless ficcable bits! The ending is...sad, though. T_T Poor Hotarou-chan...(begin spoiler)...when he is told that he must kill Tatsuki to recover his full powers, Hotarou runs away--only to meet Tatsuki. Crying, Hotarou puts out a hand, thinking to himself that even if he would have to die, he could never hurt his cousin. (*heart*) But when his hand touches Tatsuki, the older boy's head starts to bleed--Hotarou's powers are finally flowing back to him! But Hotarou remembers when Tatsuki had saved him from drowning many years ago and had nearly died himself, and how Tatsuki had been saved. So Hotarou gives up his power, just as he did then...T_T think Touya and Yuki from CCS...(end spoiler). A fic may be on the way...hee hee.

*singing along* I'll! Kill! You! No no, Kokaze has not gone on a psychotic rampage with downloading Mp3s. What are you talking about? And besides, you started it in the first place.
Drew some pretty pictures in my Strathmore watercolor book! Took forever, but hey...have come to the conclusion that mangaka must be rich, either very quick in their drawing or very bored, and extremely patient. My god. CLAMP the poster-women of COPICs, I'll bet. Scary.
Haven't started work on Akuma no Toriru yet. So laaaazy. Idols is, well...incomplete at the emotional climax. *sigh* Like anyone cares. T_T

I'm FREE!!! *jumps around* This means finally, finally poor Fanaticism might see an update sometime soon. *stretch* And then Idols...and then the unseasonal fic which, hopefully, will be finished tonight. T_T If only the computer wouldn't refuse to play my precious Jealousy...

Not in the mood to do stream-of-consciousness at all...at least maybe I'll finish the unseasonal fic. ;_; At this rate I'll suffer premature Yami burnout, damn it all. Another day of exams tomorrow, and then I'm FREE!!! FREE!!!

Kamui and 'Soka-chan shall be seeing them awfully soon...although not on their feet (I shall leave the rest to the imagination, hee XD). Regarding my mind-in-gutter syndrome, the other night I wrote a freaky stream-of-consciousness fic featuring what else but Muraki (!) and Hisoka (!!!) and non-con citrusiness! Too embarassed to put it up...and besides, it's so short...-_-
Only a week to Christmas and Sono...hopefully at least. *prays*

Ah! Finally found out the name of that random little thing I've got in my Chinese edition of HtY..."Never Give Up!" Unfortunately, I haven't found much beyond that...T_T In case anyone cares, the story is based on a girl (who looks like a guy) becoming a member of a modelling agency, where she meets a guy (who looks exactly like a girl)...and the ensuing action. Rather Shakespearean in proportions, eh? ~_~;;
Kristin-san, you ought to post that somewhere very prominently for all the unenlightened fools who write Dumbledore into a madcap slashy fic. *shudders* And have been Sorted as a tie between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. Yay. Time to go freak over final exams, which is what all the other people I've visited today seem to be doing. *sigh*

Glad you're feeling better, Aine-san! Haven't updated for about three days because of finals and stupid Video class.>_<*
Have gotten about three sentences on the Bittersweet Chocolates fic. The silly fic is stuck on Scene Three. And didn't get to finish inking a picture that I started last night 'cause now that the computer has been moved to the loft I am robbed both of my light and my artistic privacy...;_;

Terrible headache...ugh...ugh...going to bed now.

*sigh* At least we can't fail the Chem project now that we met for an hour. Maybe we can make a compact with the rest of the class: if we give them an A they'll give us an A...wishful thinking, probably. Last Friday my lab partner and I were given a 78 by a another pair for no apparent reason...so much for compassion and the season of giving. >_<
Little brother got a negligible grade on his first Chinese test in Pinyin. *_*() Good luck, little kid...At least you passed. Barely.
Why is it that whenever one wants to find something, one just can't do it? I've downloaded Kurenai, Endless Rain, and Tears, but still no Silent Jealousy. GRRRR. The one version I found was about thirty seconds long, even shorter than the one you gave me...XO I hate fate. I bet that I'd be a tragic hero if there was a selector test for that. Mmph.

Oh, dear me. I think a little consolation is in order. Kokaze-sama to save the day! Speaking of which, are we going to have a meeting on Sunday? Getting all my hopes up for nothing.
Hey you two, the interfamilial meeting is occuring today, no? What excitement! What drama! What material for a silly comedy! ~_~;;

*sighhhhhhhh* Thank you Vainglorious for the review. I see that Kristin-san has been spreading the light to you. And speaking of which, that Roache man is quite perfect indeed. Now about Sirius...
Video class members have agreed to do frivolous but doubtlessly exciting "white elephant" game with handmade Christmas--excuse me, Holiday gifts. Wonder what I will make...
I want my Hana to Yume #24 translations! *whines and begs* Pleeeeeaaaase?! And Emeraldus-san, you have had the wonderful privilege of being the first reader to have actually responded with questions. Rabu and Peace! ~_____~ BTW, did you ever review Idols? I went and did it myself, just to give myself a bit of an ego boost. T_T No one loves me...
Parent is out on some random shopping trip with neighbor. Rather suspicious, if you ask me, considering the proximity of Christmas and oyaji's birthday. "CDs" are the ostensible goal. Heh. I wonder.
Right now I'm wondering which would be more fun: a summer in China ODing on books and manga and buying presents for everybody or a summer in GHP. I wish I could do both...Kokaze is such a wishy-washy ninny sometimes that it's embarrassing. Evil English teacher declared that she'd failed two of the huge term papers already. I know that I can't be at least one of them...*shudders* that's not really reassuring, eh? 0_0 If I don't get an A on this paper...then...something bad will happen. But you'll support me, won't you oyaji-san? Of course!...
And Kristin-san, you know what they say about the tummy being the gateway to a man's heart. XD XD

Am nearing the conclusion of Catspaw, finally, after four days of toiling through shoulder-deep information about "combines" and "symbs" and other assorted 80's futuristic cyberpunk muck. And of course lots of profanity. *covers eyes* The four-letter words have certainly stayed the same, albeit nothing else...T_T why couldn't she have kept it around two hundred pages instead of four hundred? *shakes head* so unnecessary. But Cat's cool. ~_____~

Aine-san, what kind of witch is this? ~_____~;; At my equivalent of your alma mater thingie, I could tell that my parents were wondering how they could have let me buy something with *gasp* spaghetti straps! I'll bet that my father would have tried to get one of those little-girl two-piece sets with the fake lace and polyester flowers. *gags*
At last the week is almost over! Got an 89 on the Chem test but am really not very disappointed, because no one got an A (including Miss Rachel), and the class average was a 77. *feels buoyed by their stupidity*

Went and posted on CLAMPesque. *baps self on head* Quit insinuating yourself where you're not needed! GAH! The Spanish quiz was probably okay, as was the Chem test. *crosses fingers* Hopefully. And TIME magazine has several articles this issue about Islamic women and their rights (or non-rights, should I say). Men just prove their cowardice when they "kill for honor" their own sisters or mothers. Poor people...and they say that we've got nothing more to fight for in women's rights.

Hee. Do I sense a wee bit of obsession here? As for the "secret" wish, you're already my dogfic goddess. Dunno about anyone else tho...*grin*
Aine-san, you should see what happened to my trumpet (which, compared with an euphonium, is like a comparing a cat to a grizzly bear). If an euphonium shouldn't be "out of shape", than a trumpet should be in top form 24/7. Dents! Dents so bad that the stupid middle valve was immobile, and no amount of valve oil could it to move. And it cost me a hefty sum to have it repaired...poor thing. It's retired now, thank the gods, so that I can wreak havoc on the piano. I'm such a bad instrument owner (read "bad instrument player").
*sigh* Another Chem test tomorrow. And a Spanish quiz. In fact, why don't I show you lovely people what the rest of my week looks like?
Tuesday: Chem test, Spanish quiz, Lit quiz
Wednesday: Spanish quiz (yes, again!), Video project due
Thursday: Spanish quiz (*sigh*...), Lit test
Friday: Nothing...I think. *gulps*
And then of course the nice little weekend to spend asleep or reading. Great. Just lovely.

The images here *points up* should be fixed now. And I'm still working on the stupid fanfic. Why oh why couldn't I stick with a one-shot? Why oh why did I have to dream of fanfic author superstardom, with my fics translated into dozens of languages and my name heralded into chatrooms and messageboards with hushed murmurs? Ah, the empty dreams of youth. *sigh* And to think that eight months ago, I hadn't even read a fanfiction in my life. *shakes head*

XD XD I swear, no one is going to understand a thing I'm blathering about. And the dream sequences really try my patience. And the canon timeline...and the OOCness...anyway, the image that I so carefully worked on in my backward PhotoDeluxe doesn't work in Netscape. In fact, this entire site doesn't work in Netscape. I imagine that all the Sorashi fans are nosebleeding somewhere. *sighs* How ironic that the first actual limey scene was between a "normal" couple. *shakes head* And why is Arashi looking at her hand?...And what's Kamui going to do now!? Went to the Harry Potter movie yesterday. @_@ Some of the people in there...quite edible...*restrains self from indulging in drooling* I thought it got a little long (not to offend anyone!). The book also didn't seem so melodramatic and so obviously "for kids". On the other hand, I thought that the casting was well done and that the special effects, especially the Quidditch scene, were fabulous. I wish I could play Quidditch...and in those cool robes...*sighs*
Stuffed myself at the Thanksgiving dinner last night, urgh. And it's finally raining outside. Even more unusual, I'm starting another fic! A Yami fic! One that ran around my noggin bashing on things all last night! *smashes face into keyboard* ||T_T||
