-loquacity is the best policy- | Well, a little more rant for you here. While you're there, do read Cassandra Claire's marvellous response. -they kissed::Monday, June 23, 2003::11:41 a.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- DAMN. Even though I was so prepared for someone to die, even though I KNEW it would be him... WHY?! WHY did she kill Sirius!? She is deliberately playing with the reader's sympathies, deliberately destroying the magical aura of the Harry Potter world. She even shook our confidence in Dumbledore. From now on, apparently, things can only go downhill. Well, if she decides to have Harry be killed in the fight with Voldemort, I'd not be surprised, at this point. Perhaps Mr. Dark Lord will pull an Anakin Skywalker. "Harry...I...am...your father...." At least the ellipses would be fitting. *snarls* If she came out with book 6 tomorrow I'd not want to read it. DAMN IT ALL! ARRRGH! That's it. I'm writing a memorial fic. James + Lupin + Sirius. You wait and watch. -they kissed::Monday, June 23, 2003::09:49 a.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- Order of the Phoenix, page 405: 24 hours after seizing No.5 in my greedy little hands, Harry has become increasingly whelpish, an improvement, though I am doubtful of the younger fans' appreciation of their hero's teenaged angsting. Angelina Johnson is my hero, Hermoine is still my white, frizzy-haired witch clone, and Sirius! Oh, the angst kills me, in addition to some rather not-so-subtle James/Sirius signals my Fangirl Radar hath been picking up. Maybe a Remus/James/Sirius (not necessarily in that order XD) threesome?! Bwahahaha... I'm still upset over the Cain affair (see last entry). But knowing that someone is going to die in OotP is NOT very exciting. *keeps fingers crossed* -they kissed::Sunday, June 22, 2003::11:14 a.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- I didn't end up going to get Order of the Phoenix last night. Instead I spent my time wisely drooling over Gackt, for not only is he, in all his byootie and glory, looking up soulfully from my desktop, he is also playing constantly ("Tsuki no Uta" right now...the first time I heard it I hated it, but it's actually not that bad). Also, got part of my Gackt stuff (the poster is still forthcoming), namely 2 hotsexy photos of white-blond! Gackt looking ethereal. XD I have put them in an easily viewable area. From now on, if anyone asks about them, I shall reply "What, those? My boyfriend, of course." BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAAA. If X ever gets made into a real-action drama, man...*huge grin* Even so, I still got kinda spoiled on Phoenix. Have mentally prepped self for horrible things to come. I swear, if she KILLS SIRIUS...-__+### Anyhow, hope they still have Phoenix in the stores. Speaking of spoilers, I also got Major spoilage on a certain butler/protector/seme from Count Cain. Apparently...[SPOILERS! H00J SPOILERS] Riff/Lief is from [Delilah]!!!!! Oh my god!! Noooooo! I won't speculate too much on the irreparable damage this will do to Riff/Cain, but...but...@_=() Yuki Kaori is a manipulative, incest-obsessed, heartless demon who happens to draw pretty people. [END H00J SPOILERS] -they kissed::Saturday, June 21, 2003::09:34 A.M.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- So I was lazy for a couple of days. Shall not annoy anyone by angsting. Instead shall vouch for the wondrous restorative effects of yaoi doujinshi. That's right, folks, a night of yaoi is better for you than a month's stay at a spa. Bwahaha. However, these effects may be counteracted by inadequacy in the IRC department. Therefore, you should only resort to IRC or any other P2P program with confusing mechanics as a last resort. -they kissed::Thursday, June 19, 2003::10:36 a.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- Happy Father's Day, all. Gaaah! The Juvenile Orion girl strikes again! Now she's got one of the super-bish in love (?) with her! *blocks out the Stupid One's face with thumb* At least Amou is being a flaming uke right now. And it helps somewhat that the two (i.e, Amou and the Stupid One) look exactly.The. Same. XDDDDD Plus, chibi-Kaname is so! Cute! So there are some key factors to counterbalance the presence of the Idiotic Token Female: "Yes, this will be a physical interaction", for one. Ah, bask in the immaturity. X) [EDIT, 2 hours later:] Whereas Gorgeous Carat is incredible. The plotting, the details, and the LIKEABLE girl Laila. She's in the same situation as the Stupid One, namely that of a pretty girl in a slashy manga, but she's quick and clever and brave and, perhaps most importantly of all...she doen't say "eek". XD -they kissed::Sunday, June 15, 2003::09:02 PM- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- *A True and Actual Transcript of Eva's thoughts as she read Juvenile Orion*: Ooh, super-bish. More super-bish! Ooo, foreshadowing. Wait, wait, what's this young lady doing in here? And why is her skirt so short? Well, whatever, Itsuki is hotsexy. Kaname too...wait, wait, there she is again. She just said "eek". Okay, I officially hate her now. Arrrgh! Quit "eek"ing, you little...oooh, Itsuki, ganbatte... I'm only on page 30 of Turn 2 and that STUPID TOKEN FEMALE has said "eek" not once, not twice, but five times. >_+** But I'm trying to ignore her for the highly charged statements Itsuki is making to Kaname as well as the Snape look-alike. Hee. More good news. I just won that Gackt poster from eBay. *rubs palms eagerly* And am trying for this cute litte bit of josei stuff I found. Is great. *nosebleeds from the Turn 3 chapter picture* Oooo, bandages...X) -they kissed::Saturday, June 14, 2003::09:06 a.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- Oh Gorgeous Carat, how I love you. Go Florian, you purty blond little masochist. I whipped through 5 volumes of Love Mode in a day. Whoo. The art is a little strange (the eyes...the glowing eyes...O_o) but the story had me squealing fangirlishly every five minutes. Whee, what fun~ In not-so-happy news, I lost all of my eBay auctions. Including the Pura Turi poster, which, apparently, got 10 people who raise the price 300% in the last 4 hours. WTH? *shakes fist angrily* Was discussing the horrible state of commuter traffic around the dinner table, and decided that politicians are inefficient and totally lack integrity or a sense of responsibility, instead catering to the "people" and their so-called preferences. As though we didn't know that already, but yeah. It doesn't hurt to remind everyone that the word "freedom" doesn't necessarily mean "good". -they kissed::Thursday, June 12, 2003::09:51 p.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- Whaddya know, another Vash the Stampede lookalike...in Gorgeous Carat! It must be some kind of marketing scheme. Vash in a Victorian suit, what an interesting experience; not to mention the fact that they changed his name to "Solomon Sugar". *huge facefault* I didn't know they had super-strength hair gel back then. O_o They're all co-conspirators, all of 'em... eva is a Lemon-Eating Attack Monkey with a Battle Rating of 6.5. Unleash your own Food-Eating Battle Monkey. Go me. -they kissed::Wednesday, June 11, 2003::09:11 a.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- There's nothing better for feeling depressed than yaoi. It's true. A spoonful of yaoi makes the medicine go down better than Nutra-Sweet. X) I'm particularly enjoying this one, God Bless My Justice, which features a Power-Rangers like action hero and a crazy stalker who looks like Vash the Stampede. Hope you liked "Shadows"...it was good, but most of the actual yaoi was unecessary. But hey, I'm not complaining. XDD [EDIT--about 2 seconds later] And wow, is the Power Rangers boy endearing. *big smile* I figured that I should probably blog about the art show here before I forget. Of course the best part was that I got in free, but I really enjoy the old stuff...not Rococco, which sometimes features too many fat naked women, but allegories and gorgeous pastoral scenes. I also really liked one van Gogh with prisoners marching in a circle...forgot the actual name. Another nice one was this very Modernist-looking painting, Mother's Kiss. It was so unlike all the other pieces around it in its softness and chiaroscuro and ineffable sense of pretty (it was surrounded by Picasso, Monet, and a couple of Gaugins). The third of my favorites was a very ordinary painting of le Pont de (du? dunno, I hate French) Saint Michel. I think it was the black borders and the striking white colors contrasted with the green foliage that impacted me there, though the painting itself was quite small. All in all, a good show. *claps snobbily* -they kissed::Tuesday, June 10, 2003::08:22 p.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- I just found this and had to share. God, it hurts to watch all those people in face masks. But several pics are really amusing or just kind of odd. Like these: [+]Ignoring the gaggle of Chinese boys trying to look their most Japanese (I like the one in the Emo glasses), the high-school couple kissing is unexpected O_O;; their parents must have had heart attacks when they found out (because Chinese parents always find out...always *leer*). [+]Oh man, I'm such a masochist. The picture third from the bottom, the street scene...I stayed in that hotel on the left 3 years ago. It hurts to look at that picture, so I'm going to stop. -they kissed::Monday, June 9, 2003::10:02 a.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- I'm not going to pretend that I'm smart anymore because I've found la sita tuya. Mr. J is amazing, people, you must all go worship at his demigodlike feet. XD BTW, thank you muchly for the mirah. She is muy preciosa. I would kill her for her voice (reminiscent of The Little Mermaid, which is my least favorite Disney movie, right after Sleeping Beauty). Will you be on tonight to dole out more goodness? I've got "Akai Kutsu" and a lot of Buck-Tick... If I were smart, here I would insert philosophical stuff. Instead I am STUPID and UGLY! (to the other readers: no, I'm not suicidal or anything...a little joke, a little joke) -they kissed::Monday, June 9, 2003::09:41 a.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- Read the new installment of Tsubasa. -_- Who is that blond who wears a very nice parka and armwarmers (?) under said parka?! Because he is very good and needs to be in something CLAMP very soon. Speaking of CLAMP, whatever they have for me on the 24th, it had better be freakin' eyepopping. In more news, apparently Gravitation 1 has come out (pun intended XDD) from Tokyopop. But where is the lurvely thing? Where oh where? I did, however, see FAKE, CCD, 20 Mensou, and some Korean manga which looked quite nice...moonlight crystal something-or-other wherein the word "androgynous" is used. X) Mark of excellence, if you ask me. I refrained from purchasing Newtype USA because, well, I'm cheap and it doesn't have enough fangirl fodder. So there. -they kissed::Sunday, June 8, 2003::1:43 p.m.- comment? -loquacity is the best policy- I know, I know, no new layout. I'm sure everyone who bothers coming here is sorely, sorely disappointed. -_- But...the reason that there is no new layout...I HAVE A NEW COMPUTER! YAY! It's one of those spiffmeister iMac flat-panels, 17" of beautiferous screen space, shiny applications, and hotsexy speakers to boot. *sigh of bliss* Besides, all the icons are cute, too. Perhaps the only con of Kamui (the name of der spiffmeister...XD) is the size of my desk in relation to the size of the computer. But it all pales when I realize, again, how lovely little K really is. *rubs diligently with accessory chamois* As for KKL 3.1...expect that around the end of the month, Asuka-time. CLAMP needs to get cracking, big-time. I did end up reading some of that Tsubasa stuff (even the bizarre capitals get to me), but can only offer the following nuggets of wisdom and insight: - Sakura is out of the picture, at least for now. Yes! Yes! That leaves us free to contemplate the every move of Syao, who is necessarily valiant and chivalrous, etc. etc. - I. Love. Touya's. Outfit. O_O Wow. And of course Yukiiii *heart*~ -It makes me realize just how much of a CLAMP fangirl I am when I can recognize every reference they're making. It also irks me, as I've said before. Speaking of references, I don't recognize the cute blondie in the parka and with the cool wand. Kinda looks like Yuuto though. And that will be all for now (before someone gathers a lynching mob). -they kissed::Thursday, June 5, 2003::09:59 a.m.- comment? | |
