Welcome to the Madness *evil laughter*

--KokazeLand v.1.6--Ashes to Ashes

Tuesday, November 20, 2001 8:50 P.M. UGH. *holds head* Kind of glad I didn't go to Karate today, what with the lovely little four-week crisis and a foggy head and sore shoulders...@_@ finished WISH, thanks to the great and wonderful Alexa-san. *bows reverently* The Yami summaries for Fanaticism are coming along. Actually, I'm only done with the first bit of Volume Two, but that's quite an acheivement, no? ~_~
I notice that there hasn't been much rant here lately, so here I go.
First off, I notice that the "older" generation has good reason to complain unendingly about "young people today".
Scenario One: An unnamed girl in my Spanish class had come in late, and the teacher quietly reminded her that this was her sixth tardy and that she would need to confer with the teacher after class about detention time. The girl exploded with "but I was out looking for my Spanish textbook" and continued along this route, eventually sinking into her seat and settling down to glare at the teacher for the rest of the class period. However, at one point during class we were repeating vocabulary words. This girl kept her mouth firmly shut and continued her glaring, which provoked the teacher to calmly tell her to take some papers to work next door. The rest of the class symphathized with the girl. -_-*** I can't imagine how those parents brought such a young woman up. And she also comes fully equipped with an arsenal of foul language, which she deftly employed behind the teacher's back (about the only thing she can do well in that class). What is the world coming to?! A bunch of good-for-nothings, that's what.
Scenario Two: I always come extremely burdened from Video Arts class. That day I had two full camera batteries (much heavier than they look), a battery charger, a video camera in its case, my English book (1,500 pages, 8"x11"), my jacket, and a small plastic cup full of lollipops from Spanish class (we'd had a party). I was rushing down the hall as fast as I could (not very) when a blonde girl coming the other way whacked me with her oh-so-fashionable messenger bag and sent my book crashing to the floor and my hard-won candy (from the pinata)all over the crowded hallway. I looked up, expecting to see her at least apologizing, but she was nowhere to be seen. -_-****I ended up with only three pieces of candy and a scratch on my book cover.

*holds head* writing all that has just made me even more angry. GRRRRR. *goes to look for someone to take it out on*
Care to leave a card?/Suck my innards dry with your mouth of ruby

Tuesday, November 20, 2001 5:16 p.m. Whooie. Am currently ODing on Alexa's lovelyWISH scanned translations. Morgana, I promise I'll get back to you about tomorrow. *pinky promises*
And ask your sister where she got her MST materials from. As much as I hate to admit it, they're rather pleasantly ego-inflating. ~____~
Care to leave a card?/In the air I'm tastin' my salvation

Monday, November 19, 2001 08:00 a.m. No schooooooool! (For three days, at least) *is excited*
Care to leave a card?/Like water for chocolate

Saturday, November 17, 2001 07:19 p.m. Went to the library and found Girl with a Pearl Earring as well as The Other Wind. Am haaaaaappy.
Care to leave a card?/'cause I don't think that they'd understand

Friday, November 16, 2001 05:17 p.m. Things to do over Thanksgiving:
1. Peach
2. that YnM series fic
3. finishing up the couple of X fics clogging up my hard drive
4. finishing up the Aeneid
5. changing layout for Fanaticism.
6. bugging oyaji about Hana to Yume, Shine, Asuka, etc etc
Oh, I find out Monday if I made it to GHP. The drama! The tension! (I hope I made it...) Teachers have left enormous amounts of work this weekend...*gags* And to top it all off, I'm ill. *sneezes*
Care to leave a card?/some high achiever I am

Thursday, November 15, 2001 05:23 p.m. For some reason, I'm feeling rather down today. *snif* It could be this oncoming cold, drat it. And it could also be that no one's nominated me again. At this rate I shall have to beg friends to do it. Yes, I am an egoist, in case you were wondering.
No school next week! *jumps up and down* That means I can finally change the stupid pink layout at Fanaticism, whoo. Like anyone reads it anyway...*is sad again*
Care to leave a card?/a hop, skip, and trip away

Tuesday, November 13, 2001 09:22 p.m. Thank you very much, whoever nominated me for the Clamp fanfiction Awards TB/X section!! *is very happy* Now I just need people to vote for me...a second nomination wouldn't hurt either. And if you wanted to try a couple of my fics, well, simply direct your attention to the list to the right of this paragraph! *beams*
Speaking of which, I know I did terrible on the Chem test. *smashes head into desk* Damn bonding to the eighteenth hell. Take Japanese verb conjugations with you. *shudders* I think I'll give up on trying to teach myself Japanese now. I know precisely...*counts fingers* okay, so I know a little more than my fingers and toes can count, but only a little. And to top it all off, my stupid school doesn't offer Japanese except for upperclassmen, of whom I am not a part as yet.
KAMUI: Ooh, nice sentence structure. *claps*
'SOKA-CHAN: Superb, superb. *claps too*
... please, please, if there be a benevolent god, let me have gotten at least an 85...just an 85...*sobs*
Care to leave a card?/the little chinese girl who draws

Sunday, November 11, 2001 09:10 p.m. Suffering from a Yami low (like sugar lows, only worse >_<). Urgh...I really don't want to go to school. *drops head on desk* I wanna read The Other Wind! I want Yami number 11(which probably isn't going to come out in Chinese anytime soon...)!! >______< There's a Chemistry test tomorrow, and an English quiz too...I hate school. At least I've got Thanksgiving to look forward to next week. *dull, unhappy cheer*
Yo, wanna go take a trip to the Central Library?...*hee*
Care to leave a card?/taste the sickness of it all

Friday, November 9, 2001 09:15 p.m. *muttering* Stupid Matsushita-sensei...why couldn't you just finish the arc in #10...?! >_< Now I have to go find some site with monthly HtY updates so I can find out what frickin' happens!! Or maybe someone out there knows what happens after the July installment (the end of tankubon 10) of Yami no Matsuei? *fervently prays*
Kazeko, see? See? I linked you so now you're officially obligated to link back! Do it now! And Morgana, that story will get done sometime...soon...-_-()
Aine-san, I feel for you...*sniffle* speaking of which, there's a chemistry test on Monday. AAAAAA!! And my oyaji is going off tomorrow...back to Singapore, for another month. *sigh* Maybe he'll find some more stuff? *dreams about Sono te Wo Dokero and HtY and YnM and...*

Care to leave a card?/cake and ice cream!

Monday, November 5, 2001 09:24 a.m. Have gone to get the Aeneid from the school library. I guess that play really did inspire me.
Care to leave a card?/a single ladle of wine among the flowers

Saturday, November 3, 2001 11:31 a.m. Yipe, karate test in three hours. *jiggles* And daddy is coming home! Yay! (Although probably quite late at night...)Your story is still in the works, I'm afraid. *sigh* I'm workin' on it, I'm workin' on it...
Care to leave a card?/hungover on poetry

Friday, November 2, 2001 05:38 p.m. Finished San Chong Men. Am extremely envious of all Singaporeans who are equally skilled in English and Chinese, curse you.
Didn't eat lunch today 'cause there was a small party second hour and so was stuffed with junk. Am going to tape "Senior Night" later for VYB, because I'm just such a wonderful young human being.
About the trip, my father says that he'd like for me to choose a place to go to. *sigh* Traveling with a six-year-old and his oh-so-wonderful mother is another definition of hell. Will talk to you about it later.Meanwhile, I wrote you a letter and will mail it ASAP. Ja!
Care to leave a card?/Lazy llama

Wednesday, October 31, 2001 09:27 p.m. Yes. *nods at the clever piece of advice she'd come up with* I almost asphyxiated on aerosol this morning...blue temp hair spray, ugh. And the ventilator is defunct. I should sue. In other news...almost done w/ San Chong Men, yay.
Care to leave a card?/aerosol spray cans are bad for you

Tuesday, October 30, 2001 10:23 p.m. Eheh, I hadn't thought of SH as a, well, s-ai sort of work until I read...this...now I'm convinced that that is why Holmes never does get amorously entangled...*taps chin* hmmm. Aine-san, I agree. Some days I wished all things electronic would DIE and ROT in hell. And go through all 18 levels of fun fun fun torture. Chinese mythology is so sick, now that I think about it...>_<
Care to leave a card?/whoa now i'm seeing quadruple pink Kamuis

Monday, October 29, 2001 09:30 p.m. Reading bizarre, half-modern Chinese, half-ancient wen-yan-wen novel by a seventeen-year-old Chinese high school student who has been held back...twice. 0_o;;; If you wanted to know, it's called San Chong Men. "Three Layered Door". Yeah, I'd have to say that I don't quite understand this "falling back" busuiness either...at least now I've found a respectable person who feels the same way. I think. <_< So indecisive, tsk. Um...I finished the big ol' stinking Hisoka picture. Not that Hisoka stinks, it's just that for some reason my hand operated of its own accord and drew these big curtains draped around him (purple flowers on a white ground). And lace, too. *shudders* Really god-awful lace. Poor 'soka-chan...but it was symbolical and all. *winks at Tsuzuki* Purple. Eyes. Heh heh...
Care to leave a card?/another 9:30 redeye flight

Saturday, October 27, 2001 08:57 p.m. Oh, and got some nice corduroys as well. Yay.*makes face* Good news, Yami and etc. are arriving next week! With Daddy! *grin*
Care to leave a card?/I am pissed off. Hear me roar.

Saturday, October 27, 2001 09:53 p.m. Was lazy for three days...(is that anything new?). Today I went off to the shops and saw The Changeling Prince AND The Other Wind. *sigh* Unfortunately I had donated or otherwise spent all my money...;_; so hint hint, something you could give me...
Care to leave a card?/I wonder what I'd sound like with a British accent?

Wednesday, October 24, 2001 08:51 p.m. Kazeko, you have been located. *beep* The crosshairs are now locked...
Care to leave a card?/Eureka!

Wednesday, October 24, 2001 09:40 p.m. Hooray! A 93 on Chem test. Unfortunately, there's an English test tomorrow...o_o I sound so busy. My piano teacher reprimanded me gently *whew* and didn't bite my head off like I thought she was going to do, thank god. And so concludes another wonderful day.
;_; I really shouldn't have installed the tracker thingie...it's so depressing to see that no one visits me at all. What happened to all my friends? *snif*
Care to leave a card?/let's stop now, while we're ahead

Monday, October 22, 2001 09:25 p.m. XD a little bored and tired and filled to the toes with energy right now. Yes, I know that made no logical sense whatsoever. Forgive me, I have a Chem test tomorrow. The wonderful *cough*evil*cough* teacher decided to play with our little innocent heads...ugh. And stupid article thingie might not even be usable material, ye gods. *smacks head on table* What I really want right now is for it to be during winter holiday. Yes. And I'd have my nice art supplies to toy with. *sigh*
Care to leave a card?/little lune...aaaaaalllll daaaay

Sunday, October 21, 2001 12:29 a.m. Browsin' around on the great Internet again, after tripping on cheaply bought used-books and Dick Blick's greatness yesterday, your wonderful hostess is back after seven(!) hours of sleep following some lovely speed-reading. Have realized a great truth: (actually, several of them)
1. Chemistry teachers must have inhaled too much of something to be so cruel. 2. If one lived in a shoujo (a la The Margaret)manga, one would only have be sure that one had a pretty face to succeed in love and life. 3. If one lived in a shoujo (a la CLAMP)manga, one must be prepared to die a horrible, bloody, and pointless death that only impacts the plot angst-factor, if at all. 4. " ", one should be the possessor of at least 12 gallons of blood or so. This way the artists can indulge in splattering viscous red (or gray, usually) body fluids all over the page and whatever caused the splattering. 5. I should thank the stars and whomever or whatever else that I don't have to spend three hours every Sunday in Chinese school. And that, dear fellow O2 consuming bipeds, concludes my wonderful drone. Please continue your life.
Care to leave a card?/*la la lala la* Swinging by a spideweb into outer space

Friday, October 19, 2001 06:17 p.m. Urgh...the computer was unavailable again yesterday (most likely a good thing). Next week is Homecoming, meaning there'll be excitement (?), festivities (...) and in general, lots of spirit!(-_-()) All caught on our illustrious VYB, yippee! Aine-san, is there a marching band where you are? If so, are you involved? *shudders at chiling memory of being nearly sucked into the cultlike instituition they call "performance marching band" here* Hooray! Yami is coming to a house near me--actually, my house--sooner than expected. A month sooner, in fact. Just in time for my birthday, too. ~____~ Unfortunately, due to some bizarre happening at my karate school, my belt test is delayed yet again. Argh. Five months on one belt color, ugh.
Care to leave a card?/quick-frozen angst on-the-go

Wednesday, October 17, 2001 09:32 p.m. A "stream-of-consciousness" journey through my mind right now: Spanish test tomorrow oh my god cram baby cram you can do it i know you can and there's that stupid lab write-up which i know is off but a 16 percent error margin is better than a 200 percent o_0;;; this is why i'm not a scientist or miss you-know-who for that matter and that obligatory email i'm supposed to write but am too busy stream-of-consciousness-ing right now to type chinese pinyin typing systems are sooo stupidly slow and dilatory ohhh vocab word and there's a quiz tomorrow yipe luckily i don't need to study for that one i wonder how many people i'm boring with my ramble? probably not very many hmm now that i set up that tracker thing i should be able to find out yay let's see...it's se rķa not se reya and mentir does stem-change... I'm sure you were delighted. Happy cramming to all, and to all a good night.

Tuesday, October 16, 2001 09:29 p.m. Good gods. Why does this happen every frickin' time I decide to check it?! >.<
Care to leave a card?/let's suck the marrow of our ancestors' bones

Tuesday, October 16, 2001 09:11 p.m. *geh* I'm running out of ideas for the witty entry phrase. Curses. Erm, more musing. Haven't had that in a loong time, so here it goes. "The best government is that which governs the least". This statement, in the wake of our recent national disaster, both is and is not applicable. We were discussing Thoreau again in class today (could you tell?), and as they talked of how the government is performing well under duress, and of how Americans have always been big individualists who stand up for "what's right", I also thought of the terrorists. Were they doing what they thought was right? Then they would be considered to be standing up for their own beliefs? So Thoreau would accept their behaviour? Again I employ that quote from X (all I need to know in Life I learned from manga): "(We can't kill humans)Because other humans will cry for the dead."

Tuesday, October 16, 2001 07:28 p.m. *hums* Yi bai nian qian mei you ni ye mei you wo... Ahem. Pardon my small lapse into Wang Fei humming. If anyone out there knows of a good song by her similar in style to "Bai Nian Gu Ji" or "Jin Cai", please tell me! *whines* All her songs seem to be all ballady and nice and sloooow! Check your email, you slacker! *sighs* Sheesh.
Care to leave a card?/Sparkly Bishi Taste Like Strawberry

Tuesday, October 16, 2001 07:22 a.m. Yes, Sakura-san, I heartliy agree with you. I'd try that "lethal ripping-throat-out" method Zolar-chan showed me if some guy idly commented that being a girl is so much easier than being a guy. *pfft* Yeah right. I think I've mentioned before that the only reason I would ever want to be male is: 1) the upper-body strength and 2) the absence (thank god) of that monthly menace. *shudders* Oh, I recently discovered (how perceptive!) that Aine-san has a link to...ME! on her blog! @_@ I can die in peace now.
Care to leave a card?/I got rhythm, I got music

Sunday, October 14, 2001 11:47 a.m. There's a jet passing overhead. Since I live rather close to an airforce base, this has never been a matter of interest before, but now even the barest rumble overhead causes one to jump. *sigh* War makes one philosophical, I guess. Visit to "Hua Qiao Cultural Center" uneventful as they only took checks. Maybe they have manga?...Note the new images. Ooh. Ahh.
Care to leave a card?/it's raining in the sun outside

Saturday, October 13, 2001 11:17 a.m. Eheh...I dont' know if I've seen this "ashes to ashes" thing before, if I have, then I highly doubt whoever owned that illustrious site would even have seen this pathetic thing. And I don't know that there's anything wrong with all-text layouts for us lazy and underskilled people. *sigh* If it's any surprise to anybody, my CLAMP series is X. *waves a little Kamui banner*
Care to leave a card?/let's get glomping

Friday, October 12, 2001 04:56 p.m. *Yawn* Finally, a weekend of healthful rest and relaxation...sort of. Preposterous! If you're accused of such a thing, back down. You know what they say about tying shoelaces in a melon patch....right?...-_-() Forgive my homey aphorisms. Carry on, carry on.
Care to leave a card?/watch me count my hair...

Wednesday, October 10, 2001 04:34 p.m. I think I'm starting to get lazy. What a significant archive that was. *sigh*
