Interestinger and interestinger. where were they going without ever knowing the way is from Fastball's The Way, for all those poor people out there who hit this dingy place while searching. scanned Inuyasha manga? Sorry, none here...

Ohohoho. I have been officially converted into a Houshin nut at 7:20 this morning. *squeal* Fuuuukiiiii~! Apart from the endless geyser of fangirlish joy, Houshin is really a very enjoyable manga, even if the version one reads is in inconsistently translated Chinese. And did I mention Fukki? And Youzen! And of course Roushi! I had held no illusions about the faithfulness of the manga plotline to that of the original Ming dynasty novel, so I shan't complain about Bou-chan seeming at least 55 years younger than his true age (and Roushi as a lazy bum...who'da thunk?) here. Expect to see a Houshin layout sometime. ~_~
Oh, how awful. ;_; I'm not a big pet owner but it must be terrible when a creature one is so fond of is taken away like that. And bad things never come alone...don't get too deep into a drunken stupor, Kristin-san. I'm still faithfully awaiting the next chapter of Fearsome like a puppy dog (no pun intended).

Heh heh...almost finished with Houshin (only ten more installments to go). *rubs eyes* At least two exams this Thursday. How I loathe school.

Finally, a little respite from evil Math. *shudder* GHP interviews tomorrow, so everyone must pray for me. (GHP is a special honors program in my state which involves putting the candidates into a small room and asking them questions about their particular subject area. Then the winners are drawn from a hat--I mean, chosen carefully. The lucky few get to spend a six-week getaway intensively studying their interest area! *cue audience applause*)
The piracy is coming along beautifully. Oh Comicer.com, how I rabu youuuuuuu......

I have found cuteness! It seems that now Lestat has become the subject of many an adorable(!) doodle! *drools* Speaking of food, I also find that my handwriting on paper translates to more of an elegant (?) scribble. Illegible and elegant scribble. And that "pickled" line must be the most amusing one in the whole story, hee. Perhaps I should work on a couple of fics like I told you I would. And have you seen that artbook I lent the Evil Thief That Is Sunnie? *fumes*

It's late. I've got exams tomorrow. *yawns* Hai hai, sometimes I also wonder why mathematics beyond basic geometry was invented. Heaven knows. WHAT? No Keiichi? No eyeball? No S/S dramatic moments?! No touching bedside scenes?!? But that's the whole point of the X manga, volumes 11 to 17 or so! NOOOOO! *tears hair*
Oh yes, thank you muchissimo for replying! @_@ I feel so loved. And I'll have to go back and change all the h's to k's. Stupid me.

Oh yes, Companions of the Night is about vampires. <_<;; Behold, Kokaze's recent vampire fetish. And yes, I have watched Blood the Last Vampire, thanks to the now-discontinued(?) anime club. Nightwalker seems great fun, though. *waves a flag with a little Shido on it* Ganbatte yo, Shiiidoooo-kuuuun! ~________~

Hey you, what happened to you? Pulling a disappearing act? I think not. Besides, I'm writing a nice (!!) Companions of the Night fic for you, so be appreciative and beg for it. By the way, Companions of the Night is one of the better Vivian Vande Velde novels. What? You don't know who Vivan Vande Velde is? Only one of the best YA authors ever. *deadpan* I'll never be too old to read YA! Never!

It is waaaaay too early. *rubs eyes* Lesee...what should we contribute to the Literary Magazine? *rummages* It's kind of sad to discover that after four years of writing fiction as a hobby I have about a handful of actual, completed pieces, not counting fanfiction. *shakes head* extremely sad. Fanfics have taken over my life, I tell you. *sigh*
I spent three hours on the telephone yesterday working on my math assigment with a fellow sufferer. Not to sound like a whiny little brat,--okay, so I sound like a whiny brat--but I see no point in learning this unless one is determined to become an engineer or physicist or whatnot. Which I am not determined to be.
Finished Cry to Heaven...well, "finished". I skipped a whole big section in the middle 'cause it was senseless description of the castrati's training in circa-1720 Naples. If I really wanted to know, I'd go consult a nonfiction guide. Overall review: not bad. The styling is far less polished than The Vampire Armand, and sometimes the plot was rather weak (it is a 500-page book, after all), but in general, nice. I realized where Ms.Rice developed all her...*cough* interesting prowess for writing...*coughcough* interesting topics from when I flipped to the "Other Books by Anne Rice" list in the front of the novel and found three books under the heading of "Erotica under the Name of A.N. Roquelaure"....<_<;;;;;; oooooookaaaay. Scary. Must never pick up a book by Roquelaure.

The evil poison of school is evidenced by the ruin of my perfectly wonderful Saturday by math homework. >_<
That is precisely why I did not get Vittorio the Vampire from the library. *cringe* I agree that Armand and Lestat are quite likable and angsty and overall fun, but when writers reach a little pinnacle of achievement the only way to go is down, sadly. Still, I got Cry to Heaven. Thus far: a slightly demented--okay, very demented--version of "love-revenge-and-assorted-spritual-revelation" set in Baroque Italy. Not that bad, although just as "flowery" as any newer Rice work.
Regarding this recent authenticity/enjoyment issue, no one's right and no one's wrong; however, I wholeheartedly agree with the fact that there is a decided lack of helpful reviewers on FF.net. I of course want criticisms, but "ego-masturbation" isn't revolting to me either. If I really wanted helpful ideas for self-improvement, I would actually find a beta-reader (which of course I am too lazy to do...).

Have been laaaazy all week, hee hee. Last night I got thwacked in the lower shin at sparring. Pain. Paaaain. The first week of school seemed more like a month, GHP interviews are coming up the week after next, piano "test" thingie in February...uuuugh. No time for fanfic writing or anything. *massive sigh*

Video games are annoying. Particularly a video game featuring an annoying guy with purple hair and googles who likes to dress up in star suits. Which features freaky mummy things that kick you. Yes, folks, we are talking about the wonderful (yeah right) Threads of Fate here. *kicks game console as hard as she can* I! HATE! YOU!!! ARRRRGH! *storms off to listen to "I'll Kill You" a couple more times*

Rain. It's raining. Stupid weather forecasters, predicting "winter weather" left and right. Some winter weather. Some meteorologists. Geh.
Anne Rice is a wonderful person. She first makes me drool with...er, not going to spoil you...and then does this huge "finding-god-spiritualism-heaven-and-hell" thing that sort of made me marvel at her ability and fall asleep with the images branded into my mind, simultaneously...see? she's contagious. Crazy book. *shakes head*
Feeling exceptionally grouchy right now. Think I am going to listen to I'll Kill You a couple more times. Yes. What a lovely idea. *cracks knuckles*

Gaaaah. Only two more days until classes start. Gaaaah. *smacks head to the desk* Gaaah. And already I have gone insane. Good news: finished the sappy Sono te wo Dokero fic...sort of. It had no plot anyway. Will promptly upload to Fanaticism. Other things to do: another summary of YnM or Jin-Roh before school eats all my time, and finish up my father's manuscript, chapter 2. (Only to get chapter 3. Ugh.) They predict more "winter weather" on Sunday (thank you for informing me), so hopefully we'll get Tuesday off too...*prays*

Ah, only three more days of freedom until it's back to school again...and this time there's math. UGH. Fortunately there's Art to balance it out...*sigh*
Oh. My. God. What loverly pictures...@_@ Am buried in The Vampire Armand. Buried as in half-ashamed at the, er, sensuous style of Ms.Rice and half-amused with the thought of Armand drawn in SD with "I *heart* Marius" on his pretty bicep. *smiles* Also, I have finished with the first forty-five pages of my father's manuscript. So that's where my verbiosity comes from. 0_0 Anyone care to learn about institutional exclusion?...

Anyone interested in what I'm writing at present, please go take a look at the revamped Talking Heads, formerly Misantropia. Other news: the snow has stuck! Very lovely three inches or so outside, making the world all pretty and still...ah, how poetical. Meanwhile, I have gone to the library and have gotten Anne Rice's The Vampire Armand.
