Kimi, the letter thingy now has the stuff on the guest speaker. Use that one instead.

Note to the World:
Kam and Kimi are going to say bye bye to blog for a little while. The whole of next week to be exact. Exams are the bane of humanity and should be banned. This is our goal in life, although right now we must suffer in their evil clasp until we are ready to revolt against this curse placed upon us innocent high schoolers.
Wish us luck!

Here's the letter thing; I hope you're not slacking off?
There's not that much to do.

Am going to prod you to work.
PROD PROD. JAB JAB. Work you, work!

Howling at the moon on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 [05:38 p.m.]

Ooops, haven't been checking the blog o.O. Is it too late to answer that question? Well, this is what I wrote anyway
It seems as if she has no real say in life. She is questioned by the people she works for if she is seen doing anything other than the menial tasks for which she was trained. Her master abuses her, and her room is little more than a cubbyhole at the back of the house. A small bed, side-stool and the drab cramped darkness of it all help to convey the sense of poverty and hardship which permeates Mavis’ life.
What did you get for Q. 4? I have 1, 4 and 11 to go, then the math sheet thing -_-;
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Monday, May 13, 2002 [09:28 p.m.]

What did you get for Q9. in the Hist. questions?
~Kam
Howling at the moon on Monday, May 13, 2002 [08:05 p.m.]

Kimi, Suicide Phamplet all you have to do is make a pretty border around the whole thing and a nice looking title in the space provided, Change the font, whatever. Make it look pretty.
This is our depression booklet; do a rectangular border or something on the side. Uh, the writing's screwed everywhere because we were hoping to print it out with all the paragraphs in order, but then we realised that we were missing the pictures and so that wouldn't work. BB and me will hand you pictures tomorrow to scan in. Try and fit in the pictures so we don't have to cut and paste anything, but if you don't understand it, don't worry then.
~Kam
Howling at the moon on Monday, May 13, 2002 [04:18 p.m.]

Ah, thankyou~~ :D
Now all I have to do is answer the questions -_-;. I think I'm going to get an early night today tho. Been getting to bed too late lately

94. There are many contrasts in Dead Poets Society, such as the aggressive narrowness of Mr Perry compared with the creative openness of Neil, the restrictive tension in the school compared with the open peacefulness of the countryside, the humorous freedom of English lessons compared with the boring regimentation of trigonometry lessons. These contrasts help create the conflict, and the conflict in turn creates the dramatic interest fopr the audience.
A) List as many constrasts as you can find in the film.
B) Show how one of these contrasts adds conflict to the film
95. The film deals with many issues, and in most cases each issue is summed up briefly in the dialogue. Explain what the issue is in each of the following:
A) "Tradition, honour, discipline, excellence"
B) "Travesty, horror, decadence, excrement"
C) "Carpe diem"
D) "Make your live extrordinary"
E) "The powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse"
F) "Strive to find your own voice"
G) "Oh Captain! My Captain!"
97. The film-makers have positioned the audience to support Keating rather than the headmaster.
A) How has this been done?
B) Do you think this is fair? Explain.
103. All the characters in the movie seem to have a symbolic meaning; for example, Charlie (Sirius) represents rebelliousness. In one word, say what you feel each of the following characters represents:
Neil (James), Todd (Remus), Meeks, Cameron (Peter), Knox, Keating, Mr Perry, the headmaster.
104. Write an essay of aprox. 400 words on one the of the following topics.
A) Explore the idea that romanticism can be dangerous
B) DPS is really about the power of conformity
C) Adults have all the power. Whether it's the headmaster, Mr Perry or Keating, the boys are merely pawns in the world presented to them by adults.
D) In DPS the audience is not given a choice; we are position to side with Keating.
E) "DPS touched audiences and critics alike with its brilliant acting, uplifting story and superb craftsmanship." To what extent do you agree with this atatement?

[link] Full-size version with 3-tone cell shading (it's a bit cropped on the side~)
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Saturday, May 11, 2002 [08:17 p.m.]

*twitch-twitch*
Can you see me twitching? Cuz I am ><
I'll see what I can do for the shading, but I didn't save the originals for Ari' and Ara', so it'll take longer. The shading is harder to see on the small version tho. Plus there aren't that many places to shade (don't want to overdo it). Maybe a three-tone would work better? (shade, middle and highlight)
I'll do the bags later since you're re-doing them anyway.
Oh, and what are the english questions? I still can't find my sheet :/
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Saturday, May 11, 2002 [04:51 p.m.]

Kimi, I'll re-draw the bags on the actual cover, so the perspective will look right.
Crayons look okay, but it wasn't quite was I was thinking, what does it look like in black and white?
Shading looks alright, but a bit more is needed, around the folds esp.
I know you outlined the background, but can you leave it as that sketchy grey colour? For when we do the back cover. On the front cover you can outline it.
My bag - Bright yellow
Your Bag - Bright red
Pencil - Bright green
Eraser - ditto Sky blue

Howling at the moon on Saturday, May 11, 2002 [04:14 p.m.]

[link] Eep, I did them all with the cell shading anyway~~
This one has the BG with the crayon colouring as well. The photo is a bit larger than indicated, but I wanted to see what it looked like before we decide to shrink it (it's angled diferently than the original, so it doesn't look that big)
SSO is a game as well. I think it's also a manga, but I don't know which came first. Nick bought the first 2 DVD's, but the next one doesn't come out for a couple of months
Feels earlier than it is. Probably cuz I only woke up 3 hours ago -_-;. Oh yes... english. History as well >< (tho not till tuesday...). "sigh" Work. How I do loathe the
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Saturday, May 11, 2002 [03:23 p.m.]

As much as I'd like to, no drawing for me today, I have to do my english essay/s.
I thought that was a game not an anime.
Just do Ara for now, I want to see what it looks like, before deciding if that'll look the best.
~Kam
Howling at the moon on Saturday, May 11, 2002 [01:47 p.m.]

Ooops~~ Ah, cover is going well (do I do Ari' as well with the two-tone thing?)
>< Finished watching the first 6 episodes of Sorcerous Stabber Orphen on DVD. It's pretty good~~ Reminds me of Slayers in a way, only more serious. Not many people to leech into tho, except for Orphen... he has some other name, but I can't remember what it is. Starts with a K
Think I'm gonna go do some more cover stuff. Was going to get an early night but it seems a bit late for that
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Friday, May 10, 2002 [11:04 p.m.]

How are you going with the cover? Yes, I'm not drawing, just procrastinating. Maybe I'll get an early night...
~Kam
Howling at the moon on Friday, May 10, 2002 [10:10 p.m.]

[link] - like this?
Gosh.. bad procrastination day~~ so much work, so little inclination to do it -_-;
It looks funny the way they just stick out of this photo XD. Plus the different styles. I like the way the Ashandarei came out tho (I can never spell it ><...)
Bad news; somethings funky with the CD-RW, so I only got the Bonnie Pink folder on plus three Yellow Monkey songs. It takes too long to format another one, so you'll have to wait for the rest of them
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Thursday, May 9, 2002 [11:07 p.m.]

(Bloody parents, why is she such a bitch at times? Brothers are shit too.)
Hmm, everything's too grey, Make his coat a dark blue. The stuff on the edge of his sleeves and the inner lining of his jacket should be white. The inner shirt can be that red colour but make it browner not so orangy. Can you make the colour smooth so it looks less like it's been coloured in with a marker/texta?
Ara is more brown in colour, Kelewan is a hot place... and his flute is brown (bamboo)
Ari's shirt tips are gold not black, I think before they were black but gold looks better. Same with belt buckle.
Just wondering, shouldn't skin colour be slightly more pinkish? Do a bit of shading near the dot of the nose(s)
The white bit up the top will be filled in with the background, remember? We'll do the heading after I've down the background, can you give me both sheets back tomorrow?
Ask yer mum if you're free tomorrow after school. PE assignment. See if you can get picked up before dinner, because mum is too busy to cook.
P.S. Yes, rub out the music notes, I did that in for fun.... :)

Kinda freaky o_O... I stated using those colours you suggested before you suggested them (although they are switched). Mat is possibly too close to the edge, but I can't be bothered re-drawing the bottom :/... There were also suppose to be Ravens inlayed on the haft, but semi-circles will have to do XD. What are we going to do for the heading, since there's such a great expanse of white up the top?
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Thursday, May 9, 2002 [09:22 p.m.]

GB? @.@ That's one quarter of my folder! My brothers would complain....
I'll take them but I think I may have some of the songs already.
Ara.... hmm. Well:
first collar - white
Shirt - dark rust red
Outer robe - dull grey-blue or a deep cyan colour (not sure)
Of course, it depend on what you think looks best.
~Kam
Howling at the moon on Thursday, May 9, 2002 [08:13 p.m.]

Hey, what colours do you want for Ara' on the cover? I've done my pic and Ari', but I'm not sure of the colours for his robe~

~Kam
Howling at the moon on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 [09:14 p.m.]

Bwee~~ I like green XD
Stick figures would be a bit dull, so maybe chibi? It doesn't really matter how much room it fills up, but we wouldn't want it loking cluttered... I was thinking, maybe for the entries we could use some Mashi Maru note-paper or something~~ or maybe some paper with a little thing in the corner, instead of just a plain sheet.

BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!
~Kam
Howling at the moon on Tuesday, May 7, 2002 [10:38 p.m.]

Well, it depends whether or not you want to believe it.
For the cover, Kimi, would you like it as stick figures, chibi or anime-like? Stick figures is what I'd normally do but I'm thinking it'll look a bit boring with just two stick figures. Chibi and anime would look a bit different, but it'll fill up more room.

Howling at the moon on Tuesday, May 7, 2002 [10:18 p.m.]

Was it all just a dream? o_O...
Fixed up that polaroid, and finished on one of Elayne's snaps~~ [link]. And now I think I'm going to do do all that crappy Japanese homework I have XP
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Tuesday, May 7, 2002 [09:47 p.m.]

Yes, still lots of work to do.
I wanted something that hinted that _perhaps_ it was all a dream and that quote came into my head. It did remind me of DPS though, but I still liked it.
