Was pilfering through Devart's stock-photo section and found some good ones (just go to devart and look on the bar on the left. Should see a stock-photo section, and clicking on the green box next to it will come up with the sub-sections). Gonna grab something to eat then finish of the WoT entries. If it feels like the time frame is too long, we could just say it's like FY (Miaka and Yui don't actually age while they're in the book, but they do get hungry and other normal things like that)

Howling at the moon on Monday, May 6, 2002 [03:46 p.m.]

Ah, we reach Caemlyn in two days so it doesn't really matter. Besides, the Aes Sedai might get suspicious if we start drawing stick-figure horses that move~~
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Monday, May 6, 2002 [07:55 a.m.]

Kam finds so much walking rather deary. Asks if horses are needed, or cars. Maybe a snow-bike?
So late....

Day 73:
Feeling very weary... 16 days of traveling with the Aes Sedai and we haven't reached Caemlyn yet.
The whole group is a little bit shell-shocked at the moment tho. We're currently staying at Harlon Bridge
but two of our traveling companions were found murdered~~ I feel the Black Ajah is among us. Kam doesn't really know
what the Black Ajah is, but she feels the same way. Waa~~ Scary ><...
I hope we reach Caemlyn soon
Pictures: Wasn't really feeling up to taking any...
We can always change the entry, or would you rather stick with the timer? Fuu~~ timer could be messy so I'm gonna change it anyway
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Sunday, May 5, 2002 [09:02 p.m.]

But the thing is, our world (Real life) doesn't have them, so my gates wouldn't work then.
Kamra has timer? But we took one of us two before, and didn't use it, I was thinking, holding it at some distance and pressing the button. Ah well, Kamra now has timer.

Day 57 cont:
Elayne gave Dwarf Bread back after a stray knife nearly caught one of
the Kins-women in the eye. Apparently she was trying test the durability of the
bread when the blade snapped off. Asked her why she didn't use the Power on it,
but she just sighed and walked away. Kam does not get it. Neither do I, but still,
we got the bread back. Limbs would have frozen from cold, but then I remembered Kam and her magic pencil.
You wouldn't believe how wonderfully warm a scarf can be. Rollerblades have stuck together tho,
and Dwarf bread has frozen even harder, if it actually can get any more rock-like
than it is.
Chances of reaching Caemlyn anytime soon are looking doubtful
Pictures: "Me and Kam sporting our new winter gear~~ Shot is kinda wonky because we had to hold it out in front, but we didn't trust the Aes Sedai to take it for us."
A Gateway is like a window with no frame, but what you see through it is the view of the place you made the Gateway to... but I'm not sure if you could draw it
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Sunday, May 5, 2002 [08:26 p.m.]

No, some things I can't draw. I could draw rollerblades for Ara' because they were just larger versions of ours, but I've never seen a gate and it has to look realistic to work. Those birds were imitations of the birds in our world (Stick Figure World) and unless our world has stick figure Gates, any gates I draw won't work.
And that reminds me, when we left Kelewan I never erased those rollerblades for Arakasi.... I'd need to go back and fix up some bits then. Can't have Arakasi going around with something that probably won't be invented for another millenium or so.
Ah! They stole our dwarf bread!!!! Not all of it I hope, the fact that those dwarves gave us dwarf bread meant that we made a very big impact on them. DB making is a sacred art, and all recipes are closely guarded and often differ between families. (Although I do know that gravel is one of the major ingredients)
(Kam asks if she needs to use magic pencil and give us warmer clothing)

Day 45 cont.:
Crappy Rift... The least it could do was make us land properly on the
ground. Instead we fell into a fountain at the bottom of a statue
with a woman pointing to the sea. Getting a bit tired of landing in these
worlds. They always seem to drop you on your head.
Strangely the other side of the Rift doesn't look as much like Midkemia
as I thought... I always thought it was medi-evil ish, like LotR. White
buildings with funny turnip and pear shaped domes and lots of canals
look strangely familiar.
Like what would happen if Venice was in India
White marble of the Palace behind the statue is starting to hurt eyes,
and the heat is making me and Kam wish we were still in the fountain.
Squinting does not help, but atleast It means I can read that Inn sign
across the square. "The Wandering Woman". That means... we're in Ebou Dar~~! About time! Kam's been having all the fun
in these worlds (not that they haven't been very interesting)... Now all I have to do is work out a way to get into
the Tarasin Palace. I wonder how these people will take two stick-figures
lurking around their city
Kam won't give me the Kamra b/c she thinks I will go snap-happy at the
Tarasin palace after I told her I thought Mat was there. Tried to cowe her
with mystical knowledge of Randland so she would let me use the Kamra,
but she was unfazed...
Managed to get into the Tarasin Palace, amazingly. Maybe since we popped out
of the sky outside they think we're Aes Sedai or something. Colourful walls less painful
on the eyes than white. Ebou Dar seems to have a lot of white, unfortunately, and
the heat is still stiffling. Got a fleeting glance of Queen Tylin leaving someones
chamber looking slightly dishelved. Then I remembered who's chamber it was, and
made a mental note to avoid it lest Tylin think we were trying to poach her
property. After me and Kam nearly got trampled by servants we decided that
maybe seeing the city wouldn't be such a bad idea.
Pictures: "floor of the Tarasin palace, after servant accidentaly stepped on Kamra"
Luckily it wasn't damaged, although feeling quite sore from being stepped on
Day 45 cont some more:
Walked around Ebou Dar for the rest of the day, enjoying the sights. Would have liked
to visit the Museum, but then I remembered Ebou Dar doesn't have one... Quite
a nifty coincidence tho, we were in the city on the day of the 'Festival of Birds'!
Found a malting chicken so me and Kam wouldn't look quite so out of place. Also helped
to hide stick-figure limbs~~ although nearly got swamped by the crowd a few times due
to being so short.
Bumped into Birgitte, who seemed quite friendly but must have mistaken
us for children. She kept on asking us if we were lost, and if we could tell her where our
parents were. Was tempted again to grab for Dwarf Bread, but instead I told her we could
take care of ourselves. Musn't have believed us, because she insisted we stay with her
until they got back to the palace.
Had a nice chat with Beslan tho. But when I told him his mother should stop chasing Mat
because it was making him nervous around the Palace, he only looked at me funny. I was tempted
to ask Mat what he though about being married to a boyish Seanchan Noble, but he must have
overheard me talking to Beslan and started choking and turned as red as Ebou Dari buildings
are white. Would have liked to stay with them longer, but shifty looking beggars put an end
to that. Was considering whacking one of them over the head with Dwarf Bread, but was jostled
by crowd yet again.
Pictures: "Asked Birgitte to take this photo, as she was the only one who did not look
at the Kamra as if it were a Cuendillar Seal. Me and Kam with Mat and Beslan. I think
Talmanes is somewhere in the background~~" "Damn chicken would not stay still long enough,
so shot turned out to be a fuzzy blur of feathers"
Day 46:
Could not bear to go out in the heat with all that white, so we stayed in the Palace
for most of the day. Not entirely sure if Tylin takes us for Aes Sedai, but she was very
intruiged by the Kamra and other things. She laughed at the picture we took of Mat jumping
at every servants footstep, and it was a bit of a shame she kept the photo. She said it was
in exchange for us staying at the Palace, but I think she has other things on her mind
for it. Conveniently sneaked out of the Gateway Avendhia was un-Weaving, but have now found ourselves at the Kin's farm.
Would have liked to stay longer in Ebou Dar, but the Gateway was too good an oportunity to pass up.
Quite nice up here tho. Wonderful scenery, and at one point the sky looked like the Northern
Lights. It was gone too quickly to take a photo of tho...
I'd have to say the Seanchan have wonderful timing. Came along just as we were trying to eat
and started invading the place. Once again we managed to sneak through a Gateway, but had
rather unfortunate timing and were caught in a bad case of Gate un-Weaving. Head still
ringing and limbs still sore from that... thankfully Kamra wasn't damaged in the explosion.
It's turning out to be a rather indestructable piece of equipment actually. First it fell into the
sea, then landed rather hard on the ground, got stepped on and now this.
Decided to rest a while at the Hornwell estate (somewhere in Andor I think) then head out for
Caemlyn tomorrow
Pictures: Sadly didn't get to take any. Tylin kept the only one we took, and after the Gate
incident we thought it would be good not to test it incase something was broken.
Day 57:
Journey to Caemlyn is taking longer than expected due to drastic changes
in weather. Woke up after being stepped on by a horse under half a metre
of snow. Thankfully stick-figure limbs are impervious to hoofs and frost-bite,
although I fear lack of food has made us as indestinguishable as a Gateway. WoT
is turning out to be a rather accident filled place actually.
We are now snow-bound in the Andoran town of Forel Market, along with a familiar
group of dishelved and travel weary Aes Sedai. Have
attempted to petition them to help us, but they seem to regard
us with too much awe and suspision. Especially Dwarf Bread... Elayne seems to
think it's some sort of Ter'Angreal and has been studing it all day. Others
claim it to be made of Cuendillar, but nevertheless they will not give it
back.
Have told Kam to keep rollerblades and other suspicious items well
hidden in case Aes Sedai decide to "study" them as well
Pictures: "snow" "Snow and piece of grass" Kamra was thankfully not affected by Gate incident, so we got to take
a couple of pictures, but did not attempt to take any more
due to Dwarf Bread incident...
Phew~~ Finally finished those entries. Also stared working on one of the pictures, tho will have to do a bit of fixing up as Beslan is looking a bit off ><;
No, I meant by drawing a Gateway in the story like how you drew rollerblades on Ara', otherwise it will take another 17 days to get to Caemlyn... Although we might be able to use Mazrim Taim to weave a Gateway out on the following day, and it's possible Elayne used a Gateway to Travel to the Black Tower on the day after that (will have to check WH Prologue...)
~Kimi
Howling at the moon on Sunday, May 5, 2002 [07:13 p.m.]

Remember what I said about entries: 10 max. To save alot of story telling just fastforward a few days and say we got there already. I don't have to draw a gateway, just make up an excuse "Kamra fuzzed at this point and refused to work, may need a bit of pursuation i.e. a sharp rock."
Keep in mind not to include anything you can't draw, i.e. I have no idea how to draw the Stone Garden so I avoided it by making up excuses.

WoT will take a little while... trying to fit it in with book 7+8, but I had to wait for nick to leave before I could go through the books :/... have about 4 entries done, but it's going to take a lot of days to get to Caemlyn, unless you can draw a gateway.

Day 25 cont.:
Well, something must have gone wrong with the teleport thing, Kam says we're not in Althain Tower. In fact, when we got teleported, we were several feet above ground, so landing was a bit painful.
Sky is green here, and it's a bit hot. I think I know where we are.
Kam is currently asking a man where are we. I think he's a vegetable merchant. Well, he's got a wheelbarrow full f vegetables anyway.
Kam just told me that the man wants us to follow him, he says there's someone that probably wants to meet us. (Already? Wow, aren't we getting popular?) Kam asked me whether or not we should, even though the man looks very friendly. I told Kam that we might as well follow him, but we should also give him a warning: "we have dwarf bread and we're not afraid to use it"
The man says we're in Kentosani, and that by dropping out of the sky, he thinks we're related to the Great Ones, although he is a bit puzzled as to why, as Great Ones, we look like stick figures, with the personality of two children. Kam had to grab onto my dwarf bread wielding arm to prevent me from bashing him.
Anyone who avoids telling his name gets a black mark in my book:
Strange Man: Black Mark
Kam says he looks familar, and is scrambling her memory to remember why. Actually, now that she mentions it, he is kinda, but in a distant sort of way, like you remember your second cousin only because he's got your dad's nose.
Writing while walking is not a good idea, all my words are slurred everywhere. Am going to stop now.
~
We met Lady Mara! She looked rather stern, but when she realised that we had no idea how to behave; relaxed a bit. Actually a very nice lady, she reminds me of my preschool teacher - Strict when needed, but nice overall.
Kam asked her if that man who brought us here was THE Arakasi, and she was really surprised that he told us his name. Kam said that he didn't but we knew it anyway.
I think Lady Mara is starting to think that we might be some kind of deities or something.
She has given us a room to sleep in, and am feeling sleepy after a full day's adventure.
Pictures: Too busy to take any.
Day 26:
Me and Kam have spent time telling Mara all about what happens to her. I have a feeling this is breaking some kind of law, but as we are two innocent children we can always say we didn't know.
Mara was very disbelieving when we said she would one day her son would come to rule the empire. We didn't tell her about Ayaki though, and Justin isn't born yet. In fact, I saw Kevin the other day, but resisted the urge to go and annoy him. Kam did tell Mara that Hokanu is a lovely guy and she should stop wasting her time on this Kevin bugger. Mara waved away our comments, but said she had already made arrangements for Hokanu. Suddenly remembered that Nacoya just died.
Wai! We saw Lujan! He's really nice, but doesn't talk very much when on duty. Since Arakasi isn't around (we haven't seen him anyway) Kam got Lujan to tell us about him, although Lujan doesn't know that much. We told him about one day becoming the Lord of his own house and he said: "pull the other one, it has got bells on" Kam taught him that saying, although I don't think he knows what it means. He asked us if we came from Midkemia, and I told him "no, but we'd love to see it one day."
Kam would like to talk to Arakasi and warn him about the evil witch known as Kamlio, but I said to her that if she did, Kamlio would never exist and that means that Kam'd never be born. Maybe something are meant to be left unsaid.
Pictures: "Lujan - told us afterwards that he was scared shitless."
Day 27:
Urgh! I hate children! Ayaki pulled my hair but Mara came along and told him not to piss off the deities or we'd curse him. Heh, more than he would ever know. Kam told me I should be more forgiving to Ayaki as he just suffered from A Nasty Experience but I say: "it serves him right"
Kevin actually is a nice guy, he asked us what would happen to him, since we told Lujan and Mara everything that would come to pass. Me and Kam exchanged looks and Kam told him "You will come to suffer a great loss, but be patient and happiness will be restored to you." I swear, she's enjoying this air of reverance the servants give us. Me too actually.
~
We saw Arakasi, but he doesn't believe a word we say. Well, he doesn't say it but we can tell. He also doesn't believe that we're deities. But I guess after seeing someone land on their head, it's hard to imagine them as being holy. Have told Kam to keep her mouth shut about Kamlio. Reluctantly agreed.
Mara asked us if there was any more bad things that will happen to her but Kam said "the road to success is paved with pain and grief" Amazing, Kam answered her question without actually saying anything.
Pictures: "Arakasi going around the corner" "Arakasi going down to the kitchen" "Arakasi entering Mara's study" "Arakasi finally getting a bit freaked because me and Kam keep on following him around with the Kamra"
Day 30:
Mara's leaving to go to the Holy City, Kevin with her. We're to go straight to the town house, Mara wanted us to be dress as her maids but I have to say, nothing fits very well, so in the end Kam just drew some clothing on me and herself.
We're going with Arakasi! (I think he's not too happy about that, we stand out too much) Kam drew us so we look like a pair of apprentices and Arakasi has to look like a carpenter or something. He says that it will be more difficult for him to get there, because people are more likely to give one man a lift than three people. Kam said she could just draw some horses but I told her then we'd stand out even more, especially with stick figure horses.
Ah well, Arakasi asked us if we were really fit and Kam laughed. We have rollerblades, even though the ground is bit bumpy, we'd still be able to go quickly. The ground's been compressed, concrete-like, by all the wagons and the constant traffic. Anyway, the streets of the HC are brick paved. Arakasi gave up on trying to disguise us.
Pictures: "our rollerblades, disguised as normal sandals"
Day 30 cont.:
So tired, had to rollerblade so far, my legs are feeling numb.
Pictures: too tired....
Day 35:
Good thing Arakasi knows how to cook. Kam does too, but I'm eating her cooking only when the world ends.
Have finally got to HC, attracted less attention than thought, mainly because people don't notice three blurs blurs that speed past them. When Kam realised that rollerblading was faster than Arakasi running and uses less energy, she drew a pair for him as well. It's quite amazing how he adapts to it so quickly.
Mara is coming later, it takes her longer to get here because of all the people she takes with her.
Me and Kam are going to explore while Arakasi is busy getting stuff ready for Mara's arrival.
Pictures: Kam forgot to take Kamra with her when we went out so no pictures of the HC. Afterwards, Arakasi found out and we weren't allowed to go out anymore.
Day 39:
Poor Mara, she just found out that Kevin's to be taken away. She asked us why we didn't tell her about this and Kam said "We do not question what the gods do not wish to reveal." Kam is getting too good at this mystical seer thing.
Mara asked us to go with him to protect him, but I don't see what two kids can do if he comes into danger (apart from attack them with dwarf bread). Mara said that she knew that I was the godess of Luck and Good Fortune, (actually she said I was the godess of tourists but everyone knows that tourists have ungodly luck.) She claimed that Kam was the messenger of the gods, to whit, Kam replied: "It's a busy life, but you get good benefits - worker's compensation, tax deductions, great superannuation rates...."
Well, now we have to go and look after Kevin.
Hehe, I told Kam afterwards that while she was only a messenger, I was a diety. Kam says she gets to be compared to Hermes. So what? *sulk*
Pictures: Kam can't find her Kamra, she thinks Arakasi hid it because he's a bit worried that we'll stalk him again. How did he know?
Day 40:
Poor Lady Mara has red eyes, she sent Kevin away because she didn't want him to see that she had been crying. Kam and me are a bit sad too. We're leaving everyone behind.....
Good news; Kam found her Kamra. It was on top of her bag in the morning, with a note: "Please do not follow me around again." I guess he did get freaked out. We took a picture of me and Kam together and put it on Lady Mara's desk. She's sure to find it there.
Kevin asked us why Mara was being so cold and why everyone was acting like someone was going to die. I told him that all will be revealed in good time.
Me and Kam have to rollerblade to keep up with them. Kam told Lady Mara not to worry, "Kimi also brings good luck to those she talks to." I think she wanted to leave Mara happy, but I don't think it worked.
~
Kevin is such an idiot! I can't believe he would yell out something like that!! Poor Mara, you should have seen the look in her eyes when Kevin accused her of selling him.
Kam is having a talk with him now, I can hear them. Today is so gloomy, I wish this ship wouldn't lurch like this....
Kam drew birds and made them fly, I think the good thing about being a stick figure is that anything can happen. Kevin was momentarily interested but only out of politeness. I don't think Kam minded that much though.
Pictures: Kam was too busy cheering up Kevin and I was too busy being sick
Day 45:
Off ship. Thank goodness. Looks like we're going through the rift. I wonder what Midkemia looks like. Kevin says that he misses his people and can't wait to get back. He's lying though. It's in his eyes, he's pining for Mara.
Kam says there's elves and dwarves in Midkemia, and she's thinking of asking the dwarves to make more bread for us, the crumbly sort that explodes when you throw them on the ground and the bread crumbs fly everywhere like shrapnel.
I don't care, I'm just happy to get off that cursed barge.
~
So that's what the rift looks like. Cool.
We're sitting on Kevin's shoulders because he's afraid we'll get swept away by the crowds. I'm so used to being short that this is a shocking change of perspective.
Picture: Kam says we can take a picture of the rift on the other side. She can't be bothered to get the Kamra out of her bag, right now.
Once again, I have not checked spelling.
Once we go through the rift, we're in WoT but the good thing is, you can make it so we can appear anywhere you want. The rift will not be behind us nor will Kevin (duh) since I have no idea what the rift looks like, this saves me from having to draw it.

Howling at the moon on Sunday, May 5, 2002 [03:58 p.m.]

Current State of Mind: 2!
Adventures of the Krazi Kamra!
Kimiko's Journal:
Day 1:
Kam got a new camera! She calls it her Krazi Kamra. It's a Polaroid. You press the button and whoosh, instant picture! Nifty!
Picture subtitles; "Kimi testing. Not so good at this, everything's blurred." "Kam's Thumb." "Close up" "Woa, too close"
Day 2:
Show and tell at school! Guess what Kam's taking?
Picture subtitles: "This one's wobby. Note to self; Do not take picture when rollerblading to school...."
Day 2 cont.:
Appear to have fallen down deep manhole while going to school. Sydney must be wierder than I thought. There's whole caves under the roads apparently. Tiny little men here with bushy beards and axes. Dwarves, they say. Seem quite shocked when me and Kam fell out of nowhere. Lucky, was not too badly injured as landed on a round chubby fellow named Littlebottom. I shall not comment.
Picture Subtitles: "Rock" "Another rock" "Littlebottom says this is a good example of a rock." "Interesting rocks" "Very dark in here, Kam worried about batteries running out."
Day 5:
Have said "good bye" to short little men. Funny though, I didn't see any females in that mine, but Kam tells me that there is no distinction between males and females for dwarves. Freaky.
King was dreadfully upset about us going, seemed fascinated by glasses and rollerblades, which I have hung on my bag, one can not rollerblade underground. Kam says we should head towards Ankh Morpork, and I asked her why. She mumbled something about finding our way to school from there, but I think she just wants to check out the sights.
Dwarves have given us journey bread, am very glad we will have something to eat on the way as I did not have breakfast this morning. Littlebottom said something about bandits, but Kam says we need not worry, we have dwarvish cooking with us. Littlebottom seemed to take this as a compliment.
I will never understand these creatures.
Pictures: "Lo, and Behold; Another Rock" "A Rock and a chunk of dwarf bread. Can't tell the difference? Neither can I."
Day 5 cont.:
I think I understand why Kam said we need not worry. I won't see those bandits again in a hurry. Atleast, not the one where Kam hit him in the ---- with a loaf. I swear it made a crack. But Kam showed me the bread afterwards and it didn't even have a dent! Amazing stuff, dwarf bread.
I don't think I'd eat it though.
Pictures: "Grass" "UFO, maybe" "Bandit running, er, limping away"
Day 6:
I hate sleeping outside.
But good news, we finally got to Ankh Morpork! I can't describe it, this city has too much personality. Kam said this city has everything, beggars, assassins (I wanna see one!), thieves (we'll be alright, Kam still has the dwarf bread) and wizards! She said there's even a talking dog somewhere!
Kam reckons we should check out the University first, but I wanna see the Assassins' Guild. Kam says there's a giant library in the Uni that contains every single book ever written, and will be written, and probably never be written. She says I can find the last book of WoT and Obernewtyn series there.
She always did know how to convince me.
Pictures: "AM from a distance" "This is me rollerblading on the river Ankh" "The Shades, I wanted to go in but Kam said I was an idiot and that I didn't want to die"
Day 6 cont.:
Have sneaked into University via the back door, the one the students use. There was a great big note outside saying no females allowed, but me and Kam aren't in the mood for revenge.
I don't know what Kam puts in her school bag, but she used the banana to bribe our way into the library. The Librarian only said "ook" when we walked past him, and I asked Kam what he wanted. Kam said she doesn't know but he's working on it. I wonder what that means.
Pictures: "A book. Times this by infinity and you'll get the UU library."
Day 8:
We're lost. I'm hungry. Not hungry enough to eat drawf bread. Yet. Oh why did I listen to Kam in the first place? I haven't seen a single cover of WoT but I have seen several copies of "101 Uses For A Dead Cat."
How odd.
Pictures: None, Kam says not to waste batteries on rows and rows of books. She can't hear them whispering apparently.
Day 9:
Finally have seen end of shelves. (I never want to see another book again, on plus side I now have in my bag all of WoT and Obernewtyn and Kam is bent double with the weight of WoLaS)
Kam is worried because this place doesn't feel like Discworld anymore. I can't tell the difference, but I'm taking Kam's word for it. We seem to be in a garden of some sort. Kam thought that maybe we should turn around and walk back (No~!) but there was only thick shrubbery where we came from.
Am confused, since when did people (or orangutans) start building great big nature reserves in middle of libraries? But this place is too quiet to be a nature reserve, there's no birds around here....
Kam says she has a bad feeling about this, and I do too. Although that could just be my stomach cramping up in hunger.
Dwarf bread starting to look edible.
Pictures: Only trees and grass around here. What do you want to see?
Day 10:
Have I mentioned I hate sleeping outside? Was afraid of snakes, but this place doesn't even seem to have insects of any sort, let alone animals. Kinda eerie.
Kam says we should start moving, I said: "To where?"
Good question. Where are we? I'm kinda scared, but being a stick figure, nothing can possibly harm me. Not even malnutrition, it's not like I can get any skinnier.
Picture: Same as above
Day 10 cont.:
This place is worse than I thought. There seems to be giant statues of dragons and other winged beasts lying around here. They're carved really nicely and realistically, but they feel too real. It's like they're actually alive but only sleeping..... This place feels like a cemetry.... Wai... Kam says this place is too freaky, and she wants to go home. So do I!
Picture: Are you crazy? I don't want pictures of these things, they freak me out as it is!
Day 10 cont. cont.:
Have come upon a black road, feels and looks like marble except it's black. And nothing falls on it. There's no weeds, or branches, or leaves on this road even though we're surrounded by forest and this place seems pretty empty. No bird calls either.
But this place is perfect for rollerblading. Weee~!
Pictures: "Long black road......"
Day 10 cont. cont. cont.:
Kam showed me this wierd black pillar on the side of the road, it has all these funky symbols carved all over it.... I wonder what it does?
Never am I listening to Kam again. "Touch this rune here" she says, as if she knows what she's doing!
Pillar seemed to have teleported us away to some place..... underwater. Stupid books were weighing me down, so had to drop all of them before even having chance to read any! Am very thankful for attending swim school last year, but then remembered that Kam didn't.
Silly biddy. Made her drop all her books, (she dug her fingernails into the cover of the last WoLaS book - obviously did not wish to let go) so she floated a bit more, and pulled upwards towards air. Made it just in time, any longer and would have had to breath in H20. Kam is unconscious, does not have very large lung capacity.
Good thing Kamra has strap, so still around Kam's neck.
When reached air discovered ship right next to spot where we were drowning, and some twit was standing there on board watching but he called for someone to get a rope to pull us up.
Kam coughed water on deck and dripped water very pathetically all over the place, suppose I did not look much better. Took this time, while twit was busy watching Kam gag, to study him. Very familar he is. Green eyes and black hair, looks arrogant.
Man: What is your friend doing to my deck?
Throwing up, duh.
Me: Erm. She's hydrophobic.
And there was this shift in character, from snobby bastard to worried parent.
Man: Is she alright? Does she need anything? Some herbs? A bed?
Me: Food would be nice, as long as it's not dwarf bread.
Man: ?
So we have a room now and food~! Well. I have food. Kam fainted again after she coughed up her breakfast (water). I hope she's alright.
Pictures: I nearly drowned, you can't expect me to be taking photos 24-7!!! Some tomorrow, I promise.
Day 11:
Kam finally woke up because her stomach called for food. I gave her some dog-like biscuits and lemon juice, but after a three day fast this tastes like heaven. Kam agrees.
Went outside cabin. Sun very bright, feel like a mole. Kam asked me where were we and I told her about yesterday. I made her apologise. *smug grin*
Asked Kam if Twit looked familar. She stared at him.
Kam: Excuse me, what is your name?
Man: You may call me Arithon.
Kam: *faint*
Man: ?
Me: Erm. She's light-headed.
Suddenly remembered that the Arithon in WoLaS that Kam gets washy (and annoyed) about also has black hair and green eyes. Am greatly amused. Wonder what Arithon would think if I told him he has his own little fan group back where I live.
Pictures: "Floorboard" "Cloud" "Kam annoyed at me for taking pictures of pointless objects" "Arithon looking surprised when Kam stuck Kamra in his face and pressed the button, only to remember she didn't turn off the flash" "Arithon asking me if he was supposed to have an afterglow effect on his vision" "Me shaking my head" "Me being whacked over the head with dwarf bread"
Day 11 cont.:
Arithon told Kam not to do that again, and she laughed at him. Good for her.
Meet rest of the crew including Dakar. Kam told me she likes him in a vague sort of way. Kam said it was because he saw the Error of His Ways and repented. Told Dakar this and he said: "@#$!$@*&^%! Knew I shouldn't have hugged him." Dakar says he only goes for girls and I pointed out that there was a lack of them on this ship. Dakar did not reply. I think CLAMP is getting to my brain.
Arithon says he's going to drop us off at Alestron, and we can find our own way from there, even though he says he feels a little guilty about letting two girls wander by themselves. Kam told him not to encourage his angst, ("You'll only develop an addiction") and that we'd be fine. After all, we have what no one else has on this continent: dwarf bread. Besides, we might get to see Mearn.
Pictures: Arithon banned all use of the Kamra on board His ship. He says it hurts his eyes.
Day 12:
Nothing much to do aboard ship.
Am kept entertained by watching Kam harass Arithon. "Tell me what happened after you went through Davien's tunnel, and then? And then? And then?" I think she's still upset about those books we dropped in the ocean.
At night Arithon sings, sometimes. He has a nice voice and you'd be amazed at the range! Dakar says Arithon can do nasty stuff with his voice, but I don't see what (apart from blowing your eardrums by going too high).
Kam wanted to climb the mast but Arithon said that he'd never forgive himself if she fell (he uses this excuse alot, Kam always gives up if it threatens his unstable angst levels), Kam replied that she wasn't afraid of heights. Although I seem to remember one time when we went up Center Point Tower, Kam got dizzy because she looked down out of the window and might have fallen except the glass got in the way. Either way, Arithon won.
Pictures: We sneaked Kamra out a few times when Arithon wasn't watching. "I get sea sick, right? You shut up and leave me alone"
Day 15:
Hoorah! Alestron in sight! It's a pretty big port town and there's a fortress like castle thing. Arithon says that's where the s'Brydion brothers live but we shouldn't invite trouble by seeing them. Kam thinks we won't be able to get in anyway, but secretly I reckon there's always a way.
Dakar seems very interested in our gear - rollerblades, school books, glasses, Kam's doraemon like bag, my CD player etc. He says he thinks they're some sort of forbidden evil the Fellowship has sworn to protect Athera from. Pfht. Dakar has such a wierd imagination.
Pictures: "Dakar took this, when we showed him the Kamra he glared at us suspiciously. Me and Kam with Arithon looking very uncomfortable."
Day 15 cont.:
Arithon's ship sailed off again, he said he shouldn't stay on land for too long. Kam told him that if she met Elaira she'd be sure to give her his message. (I didn't hear about any message but Kam wouldn't tell me and Arithon ran off when I asked.) Am kind of sad to see Dakar go, after 5 days together, I feel that we have a odd sort of friendship. After all, Dakar was the only other one who suffered from sea sickness.
We're in the market place right now. Kam is wandering around looking at everything. There's nothing much around here, but Arithon gave us money to buy food with (yummy!!!!!) and Kam's trying to decide what'll last longest. Kam has given me a lump of dwarf bread to protect myself with. Amazing stuff, dwarf bread. Arithon couldn't even cut it with his sword! Kam gave him a loaf as well, she said he could always hit Lysaer over the head with it, or eat it if he wanted to commit suicide. I hope she was joking on that last one.
Kam is right, Alestron fortress is absolutely impossible to enter. Those guards threw us out when we tried to walk through the front gate. They picked us up and tossed us out! I call that racist! Just because I'm a stick figure!!! Kam says that Mearn is an ass anyway, and I shouldn't bother looking for him. I whacked her over the head because I was most like Mearn in that character quizzlet thing Kam gave me. And she knows it.
Maybe we'll go south.
Pictures: Arithon said it would be a good idea to keep the Kamra hidden, people nowadays aren't very friendly about mysterious black objects being flashed in their faces. Kam says we could get burned as witches. (Always wanted to know what it felt like)
Day 20:
We have stumbled across Methlas Lake! We were following this river for days on end, and finally came across this great big lake with a smelly swamp at the north end. Naturally, Kam suggested we avoid that area (Like I'd want to see it anyway)
There seems to be an island in the middle of the lake with some kind of keep on it. Looks a bit... derelict and run down, but Kam reckons we should try and go in. Fine with me, 's'not like I've got anything to do anyway.
~
There was someone in the keep. Says his name is Verrain. Asked if there was anyone else in the keep and he said he's been living by himself most of his life. Kam said to me that she thinks Verrain is around Dakar's age, (aprox. 600 years). I told Verrain later that an old pervert like him would not gain anything by harrassing stick figures. He laughed. I would have thought he'd protest or do something pathetic (i.e. deny it), but he only laughed.
Bweeeee~!!!!!! Cats! CATS! Verrain likes CATS and he's got a whole heap of them in the castle!!!!!! I've changed my mind about him, he obviously is a man of good taste (molesting stick figures is BAD taste) and we should be quite safe with him.
Picture: Kamra safely hidden in Kam's bag. People around here reckon burning witches is good taste.
Day 22:
Verrain says he is a spellbinder. Although he did not like of any of our stuff, he said we look too outlandish. Actually, he said something else, but me and Kam have no idea what it means or how to spell it so I'm translating it as "outlandish." Verrain said Sethvir would not approve either, and Kam said Sethvir was too much of a sweetie to do anything about it. (Verrain laughed - he laughs alot) I feel strangely out of place.
We showed him the Kamra, but he said to put it away. I think he was a bit frightened by the flash, he asked Kam if she had to ask permission of the air to do that. Kam said in "her" world people took want they wanted of the earth without asking. He took this as a grave offense until Kam told him that people always drew back what they took, so it was alright. I don't think he understood that.
Verrain told me that he had been in contact with the Fellowship. I asked "So?" and he said they wanted to see us, the "strange kids from the never-to-be future and the far distant past." (yeah, I don't get it either) Kam asked him if we were going to have to travel to Althain Tower and Verrain said that we'd go by the Lanes since it's quicker. I asked Kam if he meant that brand of biscuit, but she hit me over the head for being stupid (I suppose not then.)
Other good news, cats are very friendly and Keep has small area of flatness that one can rollerblade on, cobbles make a bit of a bumpy ride, but it's still alright. Kam asked Verrain if he wanted to rollerblade but he said those shoes where way too small for his feet.
Picture: "This was that pratice one we did for Verrain, it's blurred but we only wanted to show him how the Kamra worked. It's a wall."
Day 25:
Leaving Meth Isle Keep today. Verrain has some kind of magic circle in his basement: REAL MAGIC! NIFTY!!!!
We're both abit upset about leaving Verrain by himself, but he says he's used to it. Such a nice fellow, pity he's all alone. Ah well, he has the cats to keep him company.
Verrain says we're quite the handful, two girls even though we're stick figures. He says he's never talked so much and we've only been here four days! I think it's good that he gets to use his voice for something other than scolding cats and poisonious mutants.
I'm going to see some real socerery at work! Lights, runes, mystical mists - "Beam us up, Scotty."
Bye bye, Verrain!
Picture: Even though we're leaving, Verrain says it's best for us not to take out the Kamra. Kam is such a goody goody...

Hoorah! (Baggy trousers and hair length.)
Yes, you're doing the characters for WoT, I don't really know anything about that world anyway.

It never really said how long it was, so I always just assumed he had short hair... so I guess it doesn't really matter how long you make it as long as it's not too long. Does this mean I have to do the chara designs for the people in WoT? I'm sure they had baggy trousers in OC...
