Kam: Reminds me of the quote "Siel i'an i'anient". Cookie to you if you can translate it and name where it came from.
Kimi: Ditto, I dunno... from WoLaS I know that, but I have no idea what that means~
Kam: It says "Know thou, thyself" and it was my base idea for the wording of this layout, not Alice in Wonderland.
Kimi: Reminds me of another quote... "sa souvraya niende misain ye" or "I am lost in my own mind"... probably mispelt the quote tho :/

XO!! Upon chance I found out that there is a second Legendsong book! It's called Darsong, and it's coming out this month. Except to my dismay they stuck with the other style of cover :/... Shame, because I always liked the painted cover on [Darkfall]. Also, the fifth and final Obernwtyn book (supposedly) is coming out September next year, and is called "The Sending"

I'm gonna ring up a bookstore tomorrow and see if they have Darksong XD. I want to find out what happens~ It's irritating ot have bought a book and have to wait 4 years for the next one. Arrg, but why does the cover have to be so [bleh-y] XP. I don't think I'm going to wait for a re-print, as I assume the nifty cover is, but still :/... It was a pretty cover ><...

Gah, I was reading one of the Foxtel magazines as Work Exp, and they had a snip about an anime series on "ABC Fly". I was like, "wow that looks a lot like Utena, but I guess it can't be because it has such a horrible name". Yes, to my dismay they have once again managed to butcher the original name into something horrible. From "Revolutionary Girl Utena" into "Ursula's Kiss". Arrg, good god, and the blurb was so tacky! XP... it made it sound so childish and horribly immature. Like some tacky American highschool drama. *Shudders*. I suppose at least Ursula sounds a bit like Utena, but ack... reminds me of the Little Mermaid for some reason :/. (Why do they have to change the names? Why? What is so hard to pronounce about Utena. Oo-Te-Na. Utena. There. What's so hard about that? -_-... )

Uh, I wasn't running up the stairs... it was a slow-ish song ._.

;P don't ask me how I tripped on a slow-ish song. The crack isn't that bad tho. The case isn't so much damaged as marred on the front by three big crack-lines running all the way down it. Actually, part of my headphones are busted for some reason. The bit with the remote. It won't work when I plug it in, so I can only use the headphone bit which is really short, so I have to carry it under my arm. Had to swerve sideways a bit when I tripped so the thing didn't go flying out of my hand and crack on the stairs XO.

I suppose I do need one of those orange things for a concession, but its still pissing me off >:/... I'm obviously still a student if I have my school I.D, so why shouldn't that be enough? Bloody red-tape crap...

And no, I can't take videos home ;P... for starters they're on special digi tapes (look like normal casettes only smaller and with a purple/blue case-flap). I could ask them to make a copy from the masters, but... don't think I can really do that.

Ohh, I have to call the Jap book store next week for the lastest Asuka :/... have no idea why. Called on saturday, they say call on monday. Call on monday, they say shipment is coming in on wednesday. Call on wednesday, they say magazines come in/can put a copy on hold on tuesday or friday of next week. Bloody hell, all I ever did before was just come in every 4 weeks and get the latest issue >:/ (why is it so complicated now??). Oooh, saw Requiem for a Dream today (the movie they were making a promo for). It's very... disturbing... Oh, and did I mention that Inugami was up for a Golden Bear award in 2002? (or was it 2001...) Spirited Away got a Golden Bear award as well... Anyway, yes, Requiem of a Dream was very odd. Compelling I guess, but strangely disturbing. Basically it was about the destructive side of drug addiction, and what it does to you. Was pretty good actually, except for the twitchy bits (one of the guys arms got infected from using heroin, so they had to cut it off XO... ewwww). Was rather depressing actually :/...

I should try coffee some time. Or tea... or both. Although I fear it may make me stay awake when I should be sleeping

Scanner is still busted -_-... which is annoying me greatly because I want to scan this stuff in. Oh well, I can use the school scanner I suppose, when we get back.

Hmm, WoT3 or semblance of a Sirius plushie... What sort of dog is it? Like a German shepard or one of those more bluff puppie faced dogs?

And is it just me or do a lot of World Movie movies seem to include a lot of sex, incest and/or adultery? o.O... although Inugami was the only incestuous one, but yeah... I'm starting to get twitchy ("Gah, don't tell me they're doing it again?")

Funny that, I saw I guy reading Chamber of Secrets on the train the other day. Actually one of the people at work saw the new movie, and they say it's darker than th 1st. I looked up some CoS pictures of the guy who plays Tommy. Apart from the fact that his hair annoys me (don't ask why, just the way they styled it makes him looks odd) and he looks waaay older than 16 (18-20, he looks to me) I don't really have any gripes. Sure, he's not the way I really envisioned Riddle to look like, although really, whenever I read it skews it into a manga-esque style of imagination, but I think they got him alright... could have been a lot worse, and I haven't actually seen what he's like in the movie, so yeah. We should organise to see it some time. I don't suppose you're free on the weekend?

Oh yes, was just at the Movie Show website and they did a review on the film [link] I wonder if that bodes well for the next film? (the choice of director, that is)

Oh dear.... John's staying over time. I wonder when we'll get back home? Don't want to get on the bad side of the boss if yer know what I mean......

And that mean we're not going to jap. bookstore.
Reckon I can type a whole paragraph in abbreviations? G'd mt, whts up? .... .... ....

No. Obviously not.
Need to anchovy this page when I get home. Don't think Ana here likes me. Meh. Can't wait to get back to school. Does SBS let you keep movies? Probably not. Still rambling. It's the coffee. The coffee I tell you. (Haven't had any today....)

One of the guys here just walked past holding Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I find that amusing considering how I was ranting on about him this afternoon.
Seeing as how we're not going to be going home any time soon, let me babble to you my theories about Arashi.

She's a shrine maiden. Job description: something like a high priestess who has dedicated her life to her god. And often enough, this includes her body.
Now as we all know, Arashi went and pull the moves on Sorata whilst he was lying on his hospital bed. We all know the variety of reactions that scene CLAMP threw at us envoked. Sorata was bloody happy about it, I bet. And all the fans out there went "squeee~"
But there are those of us who now pity the not-so-cold Arashi. We haven't forgotten that scene afterwards. Sorata, asleep with dopey smile and Arashi sitting in bed, awake and staring at her palm.
The palm where her sword is supposed to appear.

Now, I'm not a guru on deities and wotnot, but it is safe to assume that she was granted that.... ability from her god in return for her unswerving service and sleeping with Sorata..... well. How should I put it.... It's like having an adulterous affair when your husband is not only all-seeing but all-powerful and now: all-pissed-off.

So what's going to happen to poor Arashi now that she has lost favour with her god? Will her despair at losing both her love* and now her life** drive her to side with the that hunky and drop dead sexy Fuuma?
Let's look at her choices. On one side: she has nothing, and she's fighting for the world to survive so she can continue having nothing OR she can end all the pain/loneliness and be reunited with Sorata in death***
Hey, I know which one I'd choose.

* Sorata will die, we all know that
** Being brought up all her life as a Shrine Maiden, Arashi would not know how to be anything else.
*** Not to mention Fuuma.

Am now going to do something else.

Since everyone still appears to be busy not working I will use this time to rant. Really rant and get it out of my system.

Sirius Black - The Next Kamui?

While it is near impossible for us fan girls to unappreciate a gorgeous hunk of bishonen like our dear Sirius, perhaps we underestimate just how much pain and suffering he has gone through.
I would like to bring your attention to several cases.
James Potter. Middle name is unknown, indeed it is not certain whether he even has a middle name. We do not gain much of his character throughout the novels but this much is clear. He was inseperatable from Sirius Black. More than a best friend, more than a brother. Perhaps they were like two souls seperated at birth. Either way, the relationship between the two characters was certainly something special; a bond of trust and caring*.
Even more intriguing is Sirius and Lily Evans. However you look at it, their friendship is vague. One can deduce from Sirius's character that while he may have been slightly jealous of Lily for stealing James's attention, he was whole heartedly fond and supportive of her.
One can not help but wonder if it was Sirius's guilt that kept him in Azkaban for all these years. If it were not for his emotions and turmoil from within, we are certain that Sirius would have long escaped from Azkaban; not to kill Peter as he so claims, but to see orphaned Harry, who is now in a world where he has no supportive parents and no love. So Sirius, certain that it was by his hand which betrayed James and Lily, certain that because James trusted Sirius to safeguard his life and that of his only child that he was responsible for their deaths, and more importantly; certain that he should have known, allowed himself to suffer in Azkaban for twelve years, seeking redemption from his sins**.
It is a harsh enough blow to alter our dear Happy-Go-Lucky Sirius Black into a haunted, pale ghost of a man.***

* Great. Now they sound gay.
**Or maybe he was just a really bad procrastinator. We'll never know.
*** Angsting yet?

Really Sirius Stuff:
The Happy Valley Puppy Farm
Entertain yourself with Sirius and Remus and the rest of the gang. Stop gap filer. When have time I will put in something more angsty.

People coming back. Must look busy. Come back later for more philosophical debates on Arashi's sexuality! :)

Kam's Serious Rant. Well. Not really. I don't even think it's a rant. More like a squeal session.
Haha. You get the joke? Yes, I had to say it. I seem to be in a very Harry Potter type mood lately. Must be the film's release. Oh yeah, when are you going to see it? This Saturday? Might be crowded.....
Anyway, me and John was driving back from work and we were talking about the next HP movie. And I was complaining about "Hagrid's" bike in the first one and how it was way too small to be truly Sirius's (just ain't sexy enough). Now John thinks I've got a thing for guys with leather jackets on motorbikes.
That's not to say it ain't true. But only if the guy's name is Sirius.

If it's one thing I've learnt so far is the neccessity of coffee in the morning and coffee after lunch. And maybe coffee in betweeen.

On the way home from work we drive past this tree. I call it the doughnut tree cause that's what it looks like. It's a full grown, leafy canopy tree. Beautiful. The coolest bit is the fact that the centre of the tree has been all cut away so it's a hallow tunnel right through the middle, to allow the telephone cables and wotnot through it.
It looks like a doughnut and I'm gonna get a photo of it to show you.

I have been assigned the computer with the cruddy keyboard. It's stiff and blerk.
WE is never very strenuous. They can't trust you with anything cuase yer new and yer'll be going after a week. Hey, did some guy from school call you? I didn't catch his name but it didn't sound like any of the teachers I know. Anyway, he asked me how was I going, if I thought I made the right choice, if the tasks we too difficult (pft, yeah right) and if I would like to continue in such a workplace. I think what I should have done was apply in a retail-like place and got some experience and getting a part time job after WE would be much easier. Darnit.

Oh dear, Kimi, don't run up stairs when you've got all your hands full. Maybe you could transfer Silverchair into a non-cracked case? Don't you have to use the orange card thingy to get a concession ticket?

That reminds me. I heard Kylie's song (Come into My World) on the radio to work and I kept humming it all the way before lunch. I think John got a bit annoyed cause he said so. I told him: "I can't get it out of my head" and then added; "Opps! I did it again!" followed by a "Doh' Brittney Spears!". Then I cracked up.

John says I giggle. I do not giggle! Never have! Hehe.

This monitor keeps on switching colours. Magenta... Cyan.... Weird.... The air con's been turned off. It's not very hot today so I'm alright.

You get to read? That's not fair. I actually do work but it's just simple stuff. *Sigh*
Out of curiousity; doesn't Saige like the CSS effect I did on the links? I see he's turned them off or something. I did a bit of catching up yesterday and while passing down through our links I noticed.

Might be going to that Jap. Bookstore today. Do you want me to ask? Oh wait, by the time you answer it'll be too late. I started lunch late today.... think they'll let me eat later? Everyone's gone to watch some boring video. I'm sitting here talking to you. Don't you feel proud? Oh yeah, Sorry, it was WoT3 I was talking about. Your fav. and the one you don't have. Want the dog or the book?

There was a alot more stuff I was gonna tell you, but I've forgotten! I kept on thinking: remember to blog this to Kimi and then by lunch I can't remember. > I wonder who reads this crap we blab out every day about.

~Kam ditto.

Arrrggg >:/... I was so pissed on my way back home from the station. One (unrelated) thing is that I have to ring up next week about that bloody Asuka volume (I feel like these people are contemptuous of me because I'm obviously not Japanese, and that irritates me, although it's probably just my immagination because I'm annoyed it hasn't come in yet). Mainly I was pissed because the bloody people at St' Leonards wouldn't let me buy a concession ticket on my school I.D!! Arrgggg!! >:|... WTF, I had to pay nearly three bucks for a one-way ticket! Rip off... why couldn't they let me use my bloody school I.D.. what's wrong with it!... and secondly, I tripped while going up the stairs at Killara, trying to keep in time with my CD player to calm down from that damn rip-off ticket, and cracked my Silverchair CD case and got a rip in my bag!! >o<... albeit it was a small rip, but it pissed me off anyway >:/

As a consolation I did get a free World Movies T-Shirt, which is rather nifty XD. Did something slightly more constructive today as well... got to sift through a stack of papers, wrting down the names of films that World Movies might like to buy for next season (I wrote down the names of those ones at the Japanime, but no other anime ones...). Oh, and I got to put some slides away (well, atleast I'm doing something). And I read some of Darkfall too... (I just realised that Solen really isn't in the book all that much XO... I s'pose he's not a heavily major chara.. but anyway)

Uh, I have WoT4... o.O... I don't have WoT3 tho... and 5+... >o< I want the next booook~ Actually I wish Carmody would write something... preferably the next Obernewtyn or Legendsong book~ I wonder what she's doing these days :/...

I get to take a break pretty much when I want, although usually around 12-1. Although really I don't do anything all day anyway... except the comps internet is locked so I only get to reply at home... Jeez I'm bloody tired tho. Going to get an early night after I'v finished with this. I have to wake up around 7, then the train, then walking to the SBS place... then doing, uh.. stuff. Then walk back to station, then train, then another train since it only ever goes to Gordon >:/... then walk home for half an hour. By the end of it I'm fecking tired >o<

Ah man, big yawn -_____-...

And it's lunch time again. John has dissappeared somewhere, probably to go to the loo.
I've still go the shuddy keyboard but it's not as annoying as yesterday. That's not to say that its not annoying at all.

On the way to the office I saw this rather chubby lady eating ice cream but she was wearinhg your school bag, the orange one. Rather interesting I thought considering your bag isn't very commmon. Look, three 'm's.

I haven't checked my email in yonks. Sorry to all those people I owe email to. Sitting here has turned off all desire to even touch a computer. I wonder how much it costs to mail a package to Seattle.... You know?
Hey, do you get to suggest movies to show? Hint, hint? Something Studio Ghibli would be nice.
Darnit, there was a whole bunch of stuff I wanted to tell you about but I can't remember any of them >:( It's not that hot in here, there is an air con. but it's in the other room. We have several fans and wotnot so it's alright. John's boss never seems to turn up. There's another two WE people here, but they're not from school. I mean, they're not in year 10. There's one german guy here, and some other guy as well. Uh.... I don't know their names. I have this problems with names. I don't seem to remember the names of some of the people in our year....

Let's see...
Speaking of Sirius, in Broadway there's a ToysRUs and there was a black dog plushie. It was a labradour though. And I probably spelt that wrong. I think Sirius is a German Shepard X Labradour. Except he's all black. Squeee. It's was thirty bucks. Wish hard enough and I might get it for your Christmas present. (Unless you want WoT4?)

Oh hungry. Whoever uses this computer normally has got frigging' big hands. The keys are so far spaced apart and it's bloody difficult to press these keys. Ouch....

I am in this constant state of sleepyness. I come in during the morning and I'm tired and when it's 5:30 I'm half dead. Which is wierd cause I got to bed fairly early too. And I just remembered. I forgot to fill in that WE diary thingy yesternight. We were watching Rove [live]. That living christmas ornament thing was cute.

Hehe, was reading the rule and regulations thing and I'm allowed to socialise during lunch. Ha! You can't stop me now!

The air conditioner's dripping liquid. I have apple juice in my cup. The kitchen is cold. These pants feel odd. Are you allowed to wear jeans? John just came back. Honestly he spent half an hour in the bathroom?

Yes I'm rambling. I refuse to go back to work! Refuse! Strike! Strike! Union! Union! Wait, I'm not in a Union.

I want to eat now. When I remember what it is that I'm supposed to tell you I'll come back.

~Kam is still tired.

>o<... SBS is fun... basically all I do all day is watch foreign films XD... Most of the time I spend in this production room with a whole wall filled with special tape decks and servers. All the movies and shows for the week get loaded up into this row of black green glowing 500+gig servers, and then fed into the various whatever they need to transmit it all. There's also 4 monitors (two normal TV's and two direct fed screens from the servers. They're pretty small but really sharp since there'e a direct feed, so it doesn't get fuzzed up by having to go through so many transmissions). The two normal ones show you what people at home see on Fox and Optus, but they have a delay of about 4 seconds (each set is a little delayed. Fox gets it a fraction before Optus, even on the small screens, but it means you can switch between all four TV's and see the same thing happening over again). That means I get to watch whatever's on World Movies at the time XD... And also, because often they're making VHS copies of movies for Promo's or to send to reviewers and journalists, I get to watch those as well XD... hehe, Today I got to see part of Project A again, some Korean action flick and a Japanese horror/ghost movie along with various snippets of other things. The other day I got to see some of the Ring (the original Japanese) although really it was just the beginning and the end ;P

;D... I have lovely air-conditioning in my work-room, so I only notice the heat when I have to walk to the station. And by that time it's cooled off a bit. Actually I was bloody cold on occasion while at work. For starters theres the air-con, and also the equipment and servers have to be kept cool so we probably get mor air-con than other rooms, except for the big transmission rooms (I saw them in passing, and they are stock filled with cabinets of wires and servers and everything! Hell, they hade to remove a square in the roof to get all of our cables through, I wonder how many's in that room)

Aiyaa XO... but that Japanese horror flick was weeeird. It's was called Inugami (I think.. basic trans is something like the Inu clan/household). It's set in modern times but in a small village who's name has escaped me. There's this guy, Akira, who comes to teach at the school. At the same time there's Miki, a woman who works in her workshop amongst the cedar trees making Traditional Japanese paper (Incedentally Akira is a calligraphy artist). She's a member of a household who's female decendants, the Inugami, are sort of in charge of keeping the Inu (dog) spirits in check, giving offerings and praying so they don't go around annoying people. "Look into the urn and count the dog spirits. If ever one should be missing you know they will be out causing havoc". Um, yes.. something along those lines. Anyway, at the beginning of the film Miki looked quite middle-aged, but as the movie goes on she starts to look younger, and ends up falling in love with Akira. Weird things, like people having accidents and a fog shrouding the mountainside, start happening and people blame the Inugami's, and more specifically, Miki. They try chanting the spirits away, trashing her workshop and things like that. But that's not the weird bit XO... The weird bit is that when Miki was in highschool, she had a child... by her brother XO... When the child was born, at the same time as another family who had a stillborn, Miki's aunt (?) decided to swap the two, and Miki was led to believe her child had died. Any guesses as to who the son is now? Yeah, that's right... It's Akira XO... and Miki ends up falling pregnant to him.... *twitches*. But other than the incest it was actually pretty good.

Anyway, yeah... I don't really do much, except I do get my own keycard XD. Actually I watch them while they're cutting up clips to make promo videos and feature ads (They're working on one for "requiem" of something or other, and some others) I got to fiddle around on the Mac today (they have some mighty nifty equipment, and really nice big monitors~) but it crashed on me (they said it happens sometimes) so after that I just kinda left it. Most of the time I just watch movies. There's about 5 people who regularly work in the room. Glen is the guy who's there when I get in at about 8:30, and I get on with him pretty well (he works at the servers and with the promo tapes). There's also a german woman and a few other people

Actually I'v seen quite a few people. I saw Alison on my way there on monday, and Bec' and Jaque on my way back (got a lift XD...). I met up with Steven, Gella and Tess this morning. They told me how boring legal work can be. One guy on the Prossecution had actually fallen asleep, and lots of jury member were looking rather bored. Also, Steven was going on about how the magistrate/lawyer/can't-rememmber was showing them photo's of previous work experience people, and Steven comment on one of those small B+W photos "Hey, that looks like a really old photo. How long ago was it taken?" Actually XO... it was a picture of the person who was showing them the photos XO... Bwahaha, that was hillarious XD. I didn't get to meet anyone on the way back since I stopped off at Chatswood to see if I had any comics. I didn't, but I got that Wolfwood Keyring I'd seen in there for a while now. Also had a rather nice chat with the guy who works there XD. Hehe, he's cool.. and funny too. Also he's the guy who's usually in there when I go to pick up my comics (there's about three people.. the manager (?) that guy, and a girl, although I'v only ever been served by her behind the counter once)

Gaah, i wish the scanner would work >:/... I have been inspired by Darkfall once again, despite not reading it lately (to make up for that very dull fanart I did a while ago, which has since dissapeared >:D..). Have I ever mentioned Solen reminds me of Tzuzuki from Yami no Matsuei? In looks anyway (must be the eyes). I don't know enough about Tsuzuki to vouch for personality, although Solen certainly doesn't get mollested by weird doctor people -_-;... (although really, who knows what happens on those many occasions when he's drunk... probably too hung over to remember -_-;). Actually... if Tsuzuki is "layed back but powerful" then that's not too bad a description for both of them.. although Tsuzuki seems too understanding and sweet, not to mention angsty. Although really, Solen if more of a wastrel anyway... But he has pretty violet eyes~ >o<... You should read Darkfall sometime :). Despite being an unfinished Trilogy, it's a pretty good book :D. At least, I find Solen very leech-able anyway... although there's not many people to leech onto... But the story has a good drive behind it. Not too clich'e, and Carmody's writing style has matured nicely ...

>o<... looong post

Places like Cherrycoma and Petshop always seem to be guarded by commerce students, law students, and all other types of students apart from computer science or computer related subjects.
After a little bit of thought and experience (haha), I think it's mainly because after spending a day sitting at a wooden desk, staring at nothing but a bunch of black and white figures on a computer screen, you not only develop a strong dislike of coding but also all other types of writing and printing on text.
That was a very long sentance. I don't like this keyboard I'm using; it's been split down the middle and I'm not used to the placement of the keys. I am however becoming rather good at typing with two hands and not looking at the keyboard. Wait I take that back. It took me several tries to get that previous sentance out.
Did you notice the lack of punctuation? I can't find the commas and keep on pressing 'm' by accident. Same with the full stops.

I saw Anne today. She was sitting in the bus at the traffic light and John pulled up next to her. I screamed like a lunatic and made an idiot of myself. But she saw me. She looked very embarassed. I wonder why.

Hey, Kimi, how are you going at SBS? It's lunch time right now so I suppose I can be excused for procrastinating. John's been assigned the task of supervising me. I can't help but wonder if that makes things a little bit biased. Same for him though. Truthfully his job does seem awfully easy; he seems to spend most of his time reading stuff on the news.

I have ten minutes before I go back to doing whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing. So let me ramble on for a little while longer eh?
Woah, someone just came in. Scuse me while I hide this window.
Crikey. Wasn't yesternight a stinker? Hotter than a jocky's armpit I say. My goodness, I've sudenly become very Australian. It was hell hot and I think I have a cold now. I left the fan on all last night.....
See, right now I'm supposed to be working so I'm not. John's boss didn't come in today so I'm slacking off a bit more than yesterday. Have you done that work experience diary thing? Filled it in last night during White Collar Blue.

The last thing I'm going to do when I go home tonight is touch a computer so you won't mind if I avoid netsurfing at home? I'll probably blog from work place during lunch - if I can. I might not see any of your entries though...
Woot! Four minutes left to go! Ye're in St Leonards aren't ye? I'm in Neuteral Bay. I know Anne said she was coming near here but I remember a whole bunch of the other girls also saying they were working near NB. Isn't there a comic book store around here somewhere? Or did it move?

Evidence of bad typing! Hurrah! Quick one minute left!

o.O... I was watching the news, and they mentioned how the head of Garden Island is now open, and then they were talking about the old carved grafitti of "The initials F.M, I.R, W.B and 1788 cut into a rock" on the island. That was the grafitti one of my ancestors did that I was talking about once~ XD... The first "white" Grafitti in Sydney. hehe... but anyway, I went and looked up some stuff on who it was...

Frederick Meredith

Burial: He died on 23 June 1836 at Bankstown. Buried at the Pioneers Memorial Park, Liverpool
Biography: "Australia's first free white settlers arrived at Sydney Cove on the small transport ship "Bellona" on 16 January 1793. Frederick was granted 60 acres.
This was not Frederick's first time to Australia, he came free to Botany Bay as a sailor on the "Scarborogh". A month after his arrival he became the fourth person to appear before a magistrate. The charge was that he had exchanged a bottle of rum to a convict for a possom. He received 50 lashes. (o.O....) Frederick then transferred to the "Sirius" (I find that rather amusing XD...) Members of Captain Arthur Phillip's lead ship "Sirius" cleared an area [On the knoll at Garden Island] to plant corn and onions knowing these would be the only local supplies to victual the ship. After sailing for Norfolk Island on 6 March 1790, he was shipwrecked there, and after returning to the mainland he sailed back to England on the Dutch ship "Waaksamheid" on 28 March 1791. After a little over two months in England Frederick again sailed for Australia, this time on the "Bellona". In 1793 he was discharged from HMS Sirius and settled at Liberty Plains - named because all the settlers were free. In 1790 he had a daughter, Charlotte by Mary Allen.

Occupation: Baker on board "Sirius"
Farmer
Worked as a Constable and in 1826 was appointed District Constable of Botany Bay. Post Master in Liverpool

I also found out some info on the Sirius ship (is still grinning over that XD..)

HMS Sirius

Built by Watson at Rotherhithe on the Thames in 1782, as the Armed Storeship Berwick, this ship was re-commissioned as HMS Sirius in 1786, having had her status upgraded from an armed storeship to a 6th Rate - the rating more usually given to a frigate. The Sirius measured 110 feet on the lower deck, and was 32 feet nine inches in breadth at her widest point. Her tonnage was 511 83/94 tons burthen. The latter referred not to her displacement, but rather, to the amount of cargo she was capable of loading. The Sirius made only one voyage after the voyage of the First Fleet, when she sailed to the Cape of Good Hope for supplies in October 1788. She struck a reef at Norfolk Island on 19 March 1790, the remnants of her hull finally disappearing in 1792.

Wee, it's funny looking up stuff on your encestors XD. And having an ancestor from the 1st fleet who isn't a convict >o<... Hehe, "Baker onboard the HMS Sirius, and charged with grafittying a rock in Sydney". A rather interesting claim to fame...

-_-;... Comp is working, but bad news.... there's some sort of conflict with the scanner and the new hardware (or it could be software. Windows might be being twitchy) So ever time I try to start up the comp with the scanner turned on it doesn't work. In other words, scanning anything is not an option right now ;P.

Which annoys me greatly since I have lots of things I want to scan in, and your stuff as well >o<...

Ditto on how to fix it, we may have to send it in to get looked at or buy something new

>:/.... plus I don't have a lot of things on this comp yat the moment, including photoshop (had to re-install everything on C: drive, which is most of our progs). I never realised how much I use photoshop in ever day computer life. Gaaaah! -_-;...

Didin't get to get the latest Asuka :/... which I find odd. They said it wasn't in, and I should ring back on monday since the person I taled to wasn't authorised to hold magazines for people. >.<... I want to know what happens in D.N.Angel... Actually I wish they'd print more of Anodera Akira's manga, Hayabusa (Peregrine Falcon). What can I say, I really like their art XD. I only have two issues of ASUKA with their art in it, but I want more -_-... Except the only thing I can find by them is one volume of [Rokutousei Spika]

*shrugs*

Do you want me to update capricious?...

Oooh... o.O... we haven't blogged in aaaages.... -_-

Comp is back. Case is black and, er... a bit ugly in my oppinion (not to mention huge as hell..). Need to wait for brothers to get home (need to find out how to plug monitor into power point -_-...). But should be up and running by tonight. I'll try to get capricious updated with your stuff tonight as well, but no promisses :/.

*finished watching Trigun* >o<.. Noooo~ I still can't believe they killed *spoiler*!! Waa, 'tisn't fair -_-... he was cooool T_T... But anyway. Ending was rather... anticlimactic :/. But other than that it was good to finally see the end of it~ Remind me I should ink that Trigun fanart... (Yes, I'm on a Trigun high...). Have I ever mentioned Wolfwood reminds me a lot of Sirius? XD

I want to watch it again... only with proper subtitles. Some of those DVD's from Shinseido have crappy subtitles. Bits missing, bad timing~ >o<...

I want to get a proper inking pen as well. The caligraphy one is good but doesn't give very smooth lines sometimes.

XD Work Experience next week~ I'm proud to be working for SBS T_T... those people who brought us cool movies and anime~ Hehe, I hope it'll be fun... probably. Sounds like fun anyway XD

There so much stuff I'd like to do one day but I know I'll probably never getting around to achieving.

I wanna: parasail sometime, learn how to ride a horse, rock climb, drive a 4WD, pet a squirrel/chipmunk, rescue a cat from an animal shelter, buy an apartment with wooden floorboards, re-docorate my room, paint horses on the wall, collect books, finish that poster I said I was going to do a year ago, become successful, do photography, never have to worry about money again, and do all the things with my children that my mum never did with me.

I wanna: sing karaoke on a stage, get tipsy on vodka, tell Mrs Bruen to kiss-my-ass, egg Dr Carter's house, spray-paint Daelion's wheel on the school quadrangle, drop multi-coloured paint on B block, battle it out with water guns in a carpark, parachute from an immense height, have snow ball fight in Canada, sushi shopping in Japan, beat up Mickey Mouse in Disney Land, spit from the top of the Eiffel tower, cruise around the Mediterranean with my friends, learn how to throw a knock-out punch, study the stars and learn astronomy, make a life-size origami elephant, dress up as The Luggage, have my name written in the sky, climb a tree, hug a wolf, and find love.

I wanna: stay young but grow up tall, live alone, work hard, sleep in forever, one day enjoy coffee with friends, reunite with old friends, solve arguments from long ago, be at peace with the world, die happy after living a purposeful life.

I wanna: smile all the way.

I've just realised: I'm hardly ever blogging now. I'm not slacking off (or trying not to, anyway) but I'm kinda busy.... I promise, I'll do a decent blog entry on the weekend.

What would I do without my Procrastination.... (probably get on with my work.)

Waiiiiiii~!!! X3 Got the latest ASUKA... and it has the niftiest D.N.Angel furoku poster!!! It's more than 1/2 a metre wide, and it's double sided with a metalic sheen on Darks side~~ The other has Daisuke, and it's a bit of a hard pic between whoch ones nicer but I'll probably stick it Dark-side-up. Gah, now I'm slightly confused. I think it actually was Krad who took the sword :/... Not Dark looking strange. ><... but he got stabbed in the arm anyway.. (ow..). Ha! But he pulled on Krad's hair XD (found that rather amusing) And punched him in ths stomach too ;P. But honestly Krad deserved it anyway (I don't like that feverish look in his eye when he's stabbing Dark ><... nor when he says "Does it hurt? I'm glad.." Arrg, the guy's bloody homocidal!)

Bwee, and it's in the next issue of ASUKA as well :3

Okay, [Capricious] is updated. You may need to refresh.... I just did the SoM bit as pop-ups with no comments or anything beside the usual heading on the top. You can add stuff if you want tho... Or if you want to change the style of linkage for the manga bits (thumbnail for splash page, numbers for the actual pages). I didn't bother cleaning up the scans much, so they look a bit messy :/... all that writing on the back ><..

Okay, noted saige with the link... he should get it in a few hours, depending on when he gets online ;P. Also, finished the digi-inking on that cover picture you gave me today (what can I say, I felt inspired to do some work... Despite the fact that I inked all of it rather than just the usual tweakings I do. Bah, pencil never scans very well -_-;... I can tell Ari's hair in that other picture is going to be a pain to ink..)

I'll whack it on a disk in case you want to print it

Also, movie starts at 4:45 at the Mandarin Centre (Westfield isn't showing it..)

Okay. [link] This is what I have so far, so all I need you to do is the other coding... I've sent a note to Saige showing what I have so far, so when he gets online...

Mm, yeah, so that's what I have... will probably update capricious tomorrow since I want to do a bit of study for Japanese.
