I really shouldn't be online right now, but I am restless...as well as this close to losing my mind.
Is it terrible of me to wish that my grandparents would leave any faster than necessary? They are FINALLY going back home on Friday and needless to say, the past week has been chaos for all of us. We are trying to get all their necessities ready (you know they have to have 'special' meals for themselves) and we have to take them to all their dental or hospital appointments before its too late.
Guess who got saddled with good ol' grandpa?
Yay. Me.
Oh, don't get me wrong. My grandpa's pretty cool. He's quiet and seems to understand me a whole lot more than anyone else in my family. Just like me, he likes to read a lot and I swear we could both sit together in the living room and just read each other to death. But he's in pain. A LOT OF PAIN. Along with taking treatment for his diabetes and high blood pressure, he had been complaining of a toothache for the past few weeks. He doesn't sleep well at nights due to it. Anyways, I had to take him to the dentist for mini-surgery today. They numbed his nerves in the area that hurt and said that it wouldn't be wise to remove the rest of his teeth as those were already pretty bad *winces* He has to be in a sort of gas mask like thing to numb the pain he's going through right now, but at least that one's taken care of. ^^
My grandma...*sigh* she's cool in her own way, but damn! she is picky and nosey and just damn...aggravating sometimes. (I know I am definitely going to be sent to hell for thinking like this about my grandma *lol*)
Even my sister can't stand her sometimes. You should watch them trying to have a decent conversation on some nights. (Oh, by the way, these aren't really my REAL grandparents. They are my brother-in-law's, but I still regard them as grandparents either way.) Anyhoo, as you can well imagine, grandma and my older sister who is married to their son, sometimes have days when they practically force conversation amongst themselves. She (Grandma) always butts into the kitchen whenever the sister tries to cook and keeps asking questions as if my sister doesn't know what she's doing. *laughs* When grandma turns away, my sister makes a face and it takes all of my control not to burst out laughing.
Heh, I hope the day I do get married that I don't have to deal with such a nosey mother-in-law. I think I will drive everyone around me nuts.
So, anyway, they've been here for about...*counts* almost four months...but it seems so much longer. I guess I will miss them in a way. They did always have the coolest advice to give me whenever I was in a jam, but it's time for them to move on. And you can clearly see the relief in their eyes as well. *grins* I bet they've missed their tiny little home as well. City life can be such a chore.
But good news! My OWN PARENTS might be coming to visit us sooner than we think! *grins happily* I haven't seen them in almost six years and I am sure they will be more than surprised to see what I look like now. Pictures don't do justice if you ask me.
My father is sick though. He has diabetes as well, so I am guessing we are going to go through the usual treatments and stuff when he arrives. My mother is just recovering from a stroke that left her paralyzed for a few days. *sigh* I wish I could have been there with her. We talked over the phone a few times and I found myself crying over the loneliness we both felt.
I miss them both very much...as well as my kid sisters. Hopefully someday we can all be together again...someday...

It's kind of creepy but peaceful and quite nice. A perfect way to take a walk and enjoy the beauty and solitude of modern day suburbia.
So, I am off to concentrate on writing now. Hopefully, I can accomplish a few things today. ^_^

I found my notebook after all. Luckily, the storeowner had not even noticed where it had been 'lost' and I was able to get it on time...before barely making it to work of course. *sigh*
It's been one hell of a week, that's for sure and I only hope that things get better next week.
Perhaps I can be as perceptive as Legolas and read other people's minds to know just what they are thinking before they open their mouths to utter a word.

Yikes...and make that a double yikes. I finally decide to check my email and I am overwhelmed by the sheer amount of responses I have gotten for that wittle Naruto fic of mine. (Who says the Naruto fans aren't loyal? *lol*)
To be honest, the story idea came to me in the middle of work and I began writing it there. And now that it's up...the need to make the next parts as good as the first is going to be a nailbiter. Pressure? What pressure? ><;;
I have to make the next ones good. Hehe...it's the least I can do for all the wonderful encouragement I have gotten for the story so far.
On a lighter note or heavier note depending on which one you wish to look at, I watched Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien -13 today. I have only three words to say.
OH MY GOD!!!
The story basically follows the lives of four close friends in High School and the love triangles of all love triangles. ><;;
The main guy here is Narumi, who initially did have the hots for the school champion swimmer Mitsuki. Whether Mitsuki had an inkling that Narumi liked her or not, we don't know. But what we DO know is that a shy, quiet and sweet girl (also Mitsuki's best friend), Haruka, is in love with Narumi and so she begs Mitsuki to speak on her behalf to get Narumi to go out with her. Mitsuki does that, much to Narumi's chagrin at first, but he complies and agrees to date Haruka, just for fun at first. Well, as things progressed, Narumi found himself liking the shy girl's demeanor and mannerisms and perhaps he was falling in love with her too. And there's Haruka, so sweet, so loving, so...anyway, I digress.
Well, during the course of their relationship, Mitsuki realizes that she is falling for Narumi too. *gasp* And she becomes somewhat jealous of the way her two best friends are hanging out and the like. I think she was beginning to miss all the attention that Narumi used to give to her...
Anyways, here's where the big kicker comes in.
Narumi and Haruka were supposed to go on a date to see an art show or something, right? And so Haruka is waiting at the busstop for Narumi to show up. However, on his way there, he gets stopped by that bit...eh...Mitsuki, who makes him take her to shopping. Hello?! He's supposed to be meeting someone and he's going about dating Mitsuki along the way?! Damn it! It's his fault too...
Oh, sorry...got carried away there. *coughs* So, to cut a long story short, Narumi buys Mitsuki this really cheap fake ring (rather reluctantly though, I mean he did realize he was going late to meet Haruka by this time). Mitsuki goes all googly eyed and lovey dovey, but Narumi is already on his way to the bus stop.
A little too late.
By the time he gets there, Haruka is a victim of a car accident and has been hospitalized.
Well, basically everything goes downhill from there.
Three years go by and during that time, Narumi lives with guilt over not being there by Haruka's side. He blames himself for her accident and tries not to put the pressure on Mitsuki, who also feels guilty............but then is quick to strip and jump into Narumi's arms all in the need to comfort him. Uh huh. Well, I will admit that I felt pity on both of them for a while. They both admitted that they loved each other and had even begun to make plans for their new home and life together. Hell, Poor wittle Haruka is in hospital, so let's move on, ne?
Nope! After three years of being in a coma, Haruka finally wakes up which in turn causes everyone to reevaluate their decisions. Guilt comes back to those who survived with a vengeance and feeling obligated to Haruka, Narumi visits her as often as he can. Haruka is made to believe that time has not passed and her little sister Akane is naturally repulsed at the fact that Narumi and Mitsuki are dating when they are the ones who put her sister in hospital. She is resentful and angry and finally does the unthinkable. She blurts out the entire truth to Haruka (which sends the poor girl back into a semi-coma state).
Meanwhile, Mitsuki goes into this whole...phase of self-loathing and decides that the best way to cope with her problem is to become a drunk and sleep with the lone member of their quartet by the name of Shinji. Poor guy. He's in love with Mitsuki but realizes that his feelings will never be reciprocated. *sighs*
Well, the last episode shows that things might finally be coming to a head. Haruka is finally alert enough to want to go into rehabilitation. She is forcing herself to walk again, feeling completely helpless and miserable that for three years she was unable to do anything while Mitsuki was there to take care of Narumi. She wants to change and become a better and stronger person and I think Narumi noticed that when he came to visit her.
The episode left off with Narumi wishing to speak to Haruka and needless to say, my anticipation to hear what the boy's decision will be is killing me. He says that he has broken up with Mitsuki...but then again...things might not be all as they seem.
Gah! If you haven't watched this series, I highly, HIGHLY recommend it. I almost cried with Haruka in this one and not just because I am biased towards her plight. Damn it, but the girl has been through a lot and she deserves to be happy. I like the way she has decided to take charge of things in her life and I sincerely hope that Narumi does the right thing in whatever he chooses to do.
Again, the show is Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. It's only 13 episodes so far, so if you get a headstart, you can probably catch up. :D

Whew...seems like it's been eons since I've been here and that wouldn't be too far from the truth. *lol* But to be honest, I've been busy despite the fact that I had assumed that being out of school would have given me more time to relax...NOT!
My work schedule is now fixed for evenings and that is when the brunt of traffic arrives to the store. Not that I should be complaining about getting customers. But most of them buy A LOT of stuff and I am the only cashier there. Counting and calculating things have never been this difficult for me before.
Anyhoo, for the few times I have managed to come online, I have been catching up with as much of the anime as I can. Saiyuki Reload is turning out to be even funnier than the original Gensodamen. The last episode (7) was so damn cute with the kitty and Sanzo! *squeals in delight* Ah...the joys of seeing a bish look so vulnerable. *lol*. Let's see...Full Metal Alchemist 11 introduced a new possible slashable character with Edward *smirks* Hehe...yes, that's the only reason I watch the show, didn't you know? He's real name hasn't been given yet, but he's blond...Edward's blond...what more can I say? PeaceMaker and it's Hijikata and Okita moments are seriously beginning to make me want to write pure smut about those two! Ack! It's bad, but sooooooo evilly good! The power that boy has over such a 'meanie' as Hijikata is enough to make you wonder just WHAT those two have that we don't know. I can't wait to see the next episode...oh wait...it's downloading right now! ^^
Whee! We got to see Chrno all grown up on Chrno Crusade and I will admit...he does look...not so cute anymore, but still hot nonetheless. Only 13 episodes of the show, huh? Sadness...:(
Okay, enough with the anime. I FINALLY have a new host for my fanfiction website and that's Blue Black . Time consuming to transfer all my files from one place to the other, but luckily, I managed to do everything as well as change all the tiny itty bitty links to all my stories. Phew! Talk about a full time job.
