voodoo that you do
Friday, September 13, 2002: 09:59 a.m.

*whew* lots of stuff to do. Spirited Away! WA is trying to organize it so we can get Corporate prices on tix at Kendall. Only dubbed viewing =p, but we're going for opening weekend! Sa-chan says the tix can be used for up to 6 months after... hmm.. good deal!

I feel very lucky to be alive. Almost got run over multiple times. Once, I was driving slooowly around the bend in a little parking lot and this minivan suddenly backs up at 30 mph directly at my car. I swerve and its rear end just misses the front of my car but continues its journey towards the middle of my car. I couldn't move much further otherwise I would crash into the parked cars to my left. I slam the horn - after I realized I needed to inform her of ther error of her ways and realized that I had a horn. Then finally! the onna driving the minivan notices that she could've smashed my aluminum car in half. I have a little bitty car >.<; I'm traumatized by women drivers, including myself. It's a bit sexist to say this, but it's true, women drivers tend to be worse than men drivers. And one night this car behind me kept flashing its highbeam...

feeling that things are a bit out of control. trying to audit a class at wellesley, sign up for another at MIT, computer is dying and may have to buy a new one, participating in a heart walkathon this saturday and may be signing up for more ^.~

Updating a lot today.

Saw Witch Hunter Robin - a new anime series about a secret crack team of witch hunters who track down illegal "witches" who are not regarded as human. Appears that all of the so-called "witches" have some sort of psychic ability - innate or otherwise who may or may not have been human, and have turned into alien-type evil demons. There are real or normal witches who use the Craft too. The main char is a female Craft user who joins the team of witch hunters in their work. She has odd hair that sticks out from the sides of her head (she wraps it that way) and wears a medieval Gothic dress all the time. She falls in love with the leader of the team who seems to be a silent angsty Arch-Angel Michael-type person (is he human?) who has strange powers but always gets the job done. Kinda like a cross between Hero and Aya. Has nice art reminiscent of dark overtones of Boogie Pop Phantom but much better drawn. It's a rather hypnotic series.

Me like. ^.^

ode to tetchan
Wednesday, August 14, 2002: 09:17 p.m.

=P Are you ever coming back? If not, may I have all your stuff? Kagerou 5 ... I'ld squeal for joy. I guess you'll have to just squeal - j/k - did you order it yet?

Minna - make Tetchan write more! Why don't we make a bet? If tetchan starts writing, I will too. I wonder if I should start that epic that I was planning. I ranted and raved about it to Tetchan on one of our long drives back and forth from Boston. I'll leave it up to her to spill any bits and pieces.

K-sempai, Miko-donno - evil twisted fairy tales are good~ *yum* Heh, even tho I have barely an inkling of what you are talking about.

Orlando Bloom is being whored out and shamelessly abused. So are the poor hobbits. They're asexual beings in the books, why can't they stay that way - the hobbits I mean (including Smeagol). Check out all the LOTR stuff on fanfiction.net.

Still procrastinating on packing... I wanna translate something.

Thought I was dead?
Wednesday, August 14, 2002: 08:32 p.m.

Well I thought so too. I am half-resucitated from the heat wave. Did everyone see the original trailers for Spirited Away at this place or the international one here? I really like the second one. Main english site not up yet *pout*

Sun-chan - omedetou! I got a silvery car too! Need to name it - if it was white, I would've called it Haku. Hm...I might call it Haku anyway ^.^ I'm really happy with the car cuz I got a good bargain out of the car dealer. Negotiated and BS-ed like hell I did. And am proud of it! My dad helped lots too. *hug* Amazing how sexist car dealers are, even if it is the fem who is buying - they'll only talk to the nearest male. The car dealer guy I talked to was a newbie, so he didn't exude sleaze like the 10 others I talked to beforehand. No Akio references please!

I want the Spirited Away movie preview! How dare they put up ads and not back it up! Anyone else find it? Minna, why don't we coordinate watching the movie at a specific time and day so we can write reviews of it simulataneously?

I also want to make a Haku-ryu doll. My co-workers made the *cutest* stuff animals for baby Emily. A pastel mult-colored floral elephant to be exact. All crochet. Somehow I can imagine K-sempai as a miko, commanding a legion of Haku worshippers (me included) to take over the world. Is that still on our To-Do list? *brain crash*

Miko-san! Gackt! Wai! I wanna see all those videos you were talking about! Grr...I'm on a popstar video drought ;_; If anyone is willing to send me stuff? I wonder what Shinhwa and Laraku are up to?

Izzie -kun! *wave* arigatou!

Ok. I met this real estate agent guy to take a look at apts in the Cleveland Circle area once - for 2.5 hours. Now he's emailing me about getting to know me better?! I went apt hunting with my apt-mate and I know she's more attractive than me, but he started flattering me in his emails and asked me out. I barely talked to the guy. ... I really wish I knew what guys are thinking cuz there's this other military-type guy who keeps trying to "keep in touch."

Ouch!

DESTROY!
Wednesday, August 14, 2002: 07:02 p.m.

DESTROY DESTROY MWA HAHAHAHAHAA!

Updating, trashing, and moving like crazy, I am. Spirited Away is coming out in theaters Sept. 20? I just saw the ad for it on iFilm.com! I can't wait! To see it, not hear it -_-;

I'm going to move into new apartment in Framingham starting Thursday and will be kicked outta dorms on Saturday. Also will be away at home for the weekend to do some last minute shopping and car stuff. I got a Nissan Sentra btw ^.^ Me - a carred person! Much less a driver! Boggles the mind...

Guess what happened to me last nite while I was "practicing" my driving skillz on the good old MA roads. I drove a senate van onto Route 9 and was going at a pretty good clip when there was a slowdown in traffic. So I go for the brakes. Brakes not there. >.<; I kept trying to slam my foot back onto the brake but the van wasn't stopping - wasn't even slowing down. I panicked and had to swerve into the next lane to avoid the car ahead of me. I was without brakes for a couple of minutes when finally they decided to kick in again. *whew* By that time, I missed my exit, somehow got onto the Masspike and had to drive at least 65mph so I wouldn't get run over by trucks. Tollbooths and highways were a new experience for me >.< This was my very first time for those too. I managed to dally at a local tollbooth and got honked at numerous times but I did get directions back to Route 9 and was able to get home! MA drivers are psycho, I tell you, absolutely psycho!

Heh, next time I drive, I should gun the engine and head for the nearest pedestrian or smaller car. Vans are big enough to push some people around =P

Road rage anyone?
