Adorable chibi Karen - I want one!
Yuuto and Aoki - Is it just me, or does it look like he's asking him out? *snicker*
Funniest moment in the ep - Dunno why, I just love this line. *snerk*
Aoki getting blushy - *squeak* kawaii!
Karen gets flirty - No, of course that isn't all he wanted to do. ^_~
More flirtiness - I wouldn't let him leave, either. ^^;;;;
Aoki's reaction - *snicker* Lovely. Just lovely.
Completely gratuitous Karen shot - Baby got back, mmhmm. XD
Proof, part 1! - I'm sure you would, Karen-san. I'm sure you would. ^_^
Proof, part 2! - He's so giving her cow eyes. XD
Pissed-off chibi Karen - awwww!
"Challenge me next time" - No flirtiness whatsoever! *cheers*
The infamous flomp - Looks comfortable, really. ^^;;;
Karen going "ehhh?" - Not that she's complaining. ^_~
Ok, ok, done now. Wonderful ep. Everyone should go get it. ^_____^ Time for social blogging!
*sniffle* Kimmie, I was gonna get you the Kenshin figure but I couldn't ever remember if you had it or not, and yesterday when I went back to Media Play to get it it was gone :_: But I'm glad you found it, in any case ^_^ Hey, and where'd you see anything about Satsuki taking revenge on Aoki, or did you just predict that? 'Cause she better not. I like her and all, but she better not touch my Aoki-san. ><
Yay! I'll let you know ^^ And hey, Shell, those comics were so cute! I even thought Nataku was cute in them, and I can't stand it usually. hehe and Fuuma musing about whether he should go in and molest Kakyou was hilarious.
Hmm, good point, but knowing his character... I mean, it was obviously innuendo, but he didn't even flinch. Either it was a pro-relationship hint, or they were just trying to make it look like he was too dense to know what she was talking about. XD
I'm genki? o.o Well, I guess since I got Aoki, I am. *snicker* I've seen all results, but there are definitely an overabundance of Subarus in the X fan community. ^^;;; hehe
Cute layout! ^____^
God dammit, I am so tired. x.x Gonna stop now.

Work can officially bite me, hard. I'm off for an 8 hour shift, ugh ugh, but I wanted to say this so people didn't think I was ignoring them or anything... ^^;;;
Thanks very much for the offer Kira, but I did end up finding a place to finish off ep 19. ^____^ If it still stands for when X 21 comes out, though, that'd be great-- I can't stand screwing around with IRC's queues and all that crap, especially with my slow connection ><
So, yeah, I saw the ep. .... *squeal* ^____^ I made tons of screencaps, which I'll post when I get home... My overall feeling about the ep was that it was quite pro-A/K, which makes me happy, even if I am still veryyy disappointed about Karen's last words and all. And I was happy to see that the Karen/Yuuto-ness, as somebody on DoS said, had a lot more mean glaring and a lot less cute smiling. Damn, chibi Karen is adorable, especially when she's pissed off. I want one. hehe, and of course I loved the flashback scene... I'm still trying to figure out the end of it, though. His reaction to her "You should come back as a customer, I'd take good care of you" line was completely unexpected... you'd think he'd get all flustered and upset but he looked more like he was seriously considering it, hehe. Which of course I don't mind at all ^___^ but I'm trying to figure out why Mr. Family Man wouldn't react badly at all to the suggestion that he cheat on his wife... hmmmm, XD
OK, so I gotta go. -.-;;;; Will blog more and take care of the rest of the social stuff when I get home. *waves*
watching the fish swim by on Sunday, March 10, 2002 at 09:07 a.m.
-.- I was in a good mood until I got home...
My X 19 download got up to 91% and died, and now my favorite IRC fserve either doesn't have its X section online, or took it off. And all the other ones are full. *cries*
And then I read Aoi's (thanks, by the way, I should link to you hehe) spoiler about Karen's last words. (spoilers in the below paragraph)
.... *pouts and looks very childish* I hate you, Karen. You suck. ... No, actually, I hate the X producers. I wanted my fucking confession scene! *throws a fit* OK, so he did call her a wonderful woman, yeah, that's sweet. But god dammit, Karen! "I'm glad I got to protect you" is not romantic! (I guess it is in the twisted CLAMP sense of the word, but still.) I didn't even get an "I... you..." for christ's sake! *whinewhinewhine*
Yeah, I'll be fine. Dammit, I want to watch ep 19 now. *kicks IRC, hard* ><
Oh well. It's still Friday. Which means you will be on. At least there's one good thing about today. ^_^
watching the fish swim by on Friday, March 8, 2002 at 03:13 p.m.
*sniffle* Skip this paragraph if you don't want to be spoiled about X episode 21, but I have to say something of course. Short summary of what happens in the ep is here. *waits* Okay? Okay. WAHHHHH. I'm sad, although finding out wasn't quite as painful as the anticipation was... and I'm glad Seiichirou got Yuuto, as sick as that sounds. 'Course, I already knew he was better. *smirk* In any case, the lovely Miss Kasumi will be mourned (in the TV series, anyway. There's still hope, albeit slim, for the manga). But hey, I'm sorta looking forward to seeing the ep. I wanna see whether Karen confesses before she dies... and hey, Aoki gets tied up *snickersnicker* I'm sure I'll bawl, though. Now I have a feeling Aoki will probably live through to the end, which is sort of good, but without Karen he's just gonna be boring old Family Man again (although still cute ^^;;;;). *poutpout* I'm gonna have to write a fluffy A/K fic in honor of this... -.-
Although, speaking of fics, the latest idea I've gotten is anything but fluffy. Let's just say nobody should have let me watch "Memento". ~~;;;; I may or may not write it, I got it while staring blankly at the wall in the dentist's office XD
Awww, Shell, I'm very sorry about your uncle... :_:
*hugs* You honestly shouldn't have to go through that, and your brother deserves a good kick in the ass and more. Don't worry about not being positive, just try to keep yourself healthy... I really hope things settle down soon :_: *huggles*
Added (or will be adding) Nayami and Ko to my links, the first because we've talked in chat a few times and we had a pretty interesting conversation about squicky pairings last night *snicker*, and the second because... well, her blog is just cool, and she draws really good comics. ^^ "Confession" was really funny, and the CCS/X parallels do work scarily well. o_O (although wouldn't Saya work better as Sonomi? considering Sonomi and Nadeshiko had the yuri-ish friendship going on...)
Bad trip. *runs* hehehe :P
XDDD I think Kelly needs help, mmhmm. Although she does like Aoki, so perhaps there's hope for her yet. ^___^
You're right, it would rather suck to not be able to seduce your soulmate because he's married. ^^;;; But honestly, you wouldn't want to be any of them? Not even Subaru? Hell, you'd get more than all the other characters combined, at least in fanfiction... XD

You're Aoki Seiichirou!
You are one of a dying breed... a true gentleman (or gentlewoman, as the case may be). You tend to be a little disorganized and scatterbrained, but your heart is always in the right place. While you aren’t always the one who gets the most attention, you are sweet, dependable, and extremely loyal to your loved ones. Your family and friends are very important to you, and you will go to any length to protect them.
Which Dragon of Heaven are you?
Quiz by Kerianne
... I was bored. *snicker* Go, take it, have fun. I just wanted an excuse to make cute little graphics, mmhmm. DoE test in the works (when I feel like making more cute little graphics).
*goes back to working on the Hamlet paper that, no matter how strong of telepathic brainwaves she sent it, simply refused to write itself*

Hai, Kira, I'm still alive. Gomen ne. ^^;;; It's been an odd week, but I will get back into the habit of blogging now. I have been reading blogs, though. I thought your comments on X 19 were quite amusing, hehe. No comment on the flomping. XD
Sorry this is so late, Amy (and note to self, change your link on the side XD), but I wanted to comment on your "CLAMP stories are not well written" rant. You make some good points, but the main thing I disagree with is that the message of the story is that "a person's morality is lost when the heart is shaken." I assume you're referring to Subaru. The main problem I have with this is that I don't believe CLAMP are portraying Subaru (or Kamui, or most of the other characters for that matter) as models of correct human behavior. Subaru's morality may have been lost because his heart was shaken, but I think it's fairly clear that he has some mental problems and is not dealing with his situation in a healthy way. But on the other hand, Karen, who has never known love (except Seiichirou but that's a whole other matter which I won't get into 'cause I'll never shut up ^_~), still manages to be a kind, caring and wonderful person despite her difficult past and her troubles. She's not perfect either (the whole self-sacrificing to a fault thing ><), but I don't think her morality has been sacrificed.
"Surprisingly cute"? What's the surprise? He's always cute. *deathglare* XD just kidding. But he is. ^__^ Thanks for the screenshots-- little Karen is so adorable! I wish I had a faster modem so I could see the ep now... *pout*
Kimmie, it's great to hear that you're feeling better. Whichever family member is pissing you off, screw 'em. I know you'll make it. ^__^
Congratulations about the job, Argustar. ^_^ Sorry Sorashi got shafted in the anime. :_: You think they have a negative connotation in the fandom? Hmm, I've never really noticed that, aside from me. ^^;;; Most everybody likes them and even people who normally only write shounen-ai or yaoi include them in their fics. Even I don't hate them, I just dislike the tendency some fic-writers have to make Arashi completely dependent on Sorata the moment she shows any feelings for him. Love does many things, but it isn't going to turn a strong, emotionally reserved and independent young woman into a weeping arm ornament. >< But that's another rant, hehe. It does seem as if they really skimped on their relationship in the anime. :/
*pokes you with a stick* Blog. Now. ^_^
Hmm. I saw "Memento" last night... o_o Holy shit. That movie is a mindfuck and a half. They definitely made good use of the backwards storytelling, and the ending/beginning is pretty damn unexpected. It's quite deep, really, kind of depressing and very unsettling. Definitely one of those movies that makes you think. ... And also, Guy Pearce is pretty hot. XD
Results time!

*superhuggles back* What you said about us nearly had me crying in the middle of the school library, hehe. You too deserve nothing but smiles and the best of everything, and though things are difficult I think you will find it someday. Give yourself more time-- it's too soon to be worrying that you're not feeling better yet. I'm still in shock about it, and I only knew her through the stories you told. And getting things out is good, so vent and talk about her all you like. *snuggles*
It was because the M&Ms weren't aged enough, wasn't it? :P hehe.
Well, it's mid-marking-period grade report time, mmhmm. And my calculus grade is... well, I'm passing, but not by a whole hell of a lot. I'll admit I haven't quite put as much effort into it as I could have, but it's hard, dammit. Stupid math.
watching the fish swim by on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at 04:52 p.m.
Oh, I lied. I'll do some responses now.
Codi, dear, please do not feel helpless. *snuggles* You certainly aren't. Your uke healing powers work over distances, believe me. ^_^ That said, I can understand your desire to not be so goddamn far away from everyone, 'cause I feel the same. It is frustrating. But one day we'll all be able to travel freely, and we'll hopefully be able to get together when we need to. ^__^
You are too cute. Don't worry, it was a bad test... I couldn't think of things to ask about so I just made up random ones ~~;;; That pic is so kawaii! *beams* So true, too. ^_~

Kim, I don't know if or when you'll read this, but all I wanna say is I love you and I am wishing as hard as I possibly can that your situation will work out in some way that you'll be at least okay with it. If that made any sense. I think your mom was very lucky to have a daughter like you, who loved her so much. I wish I could do more for you, but since I'm halfway across the country and you probably want to be alone right now anyway, this will have to do. *big hugs*
IF anyone social blogged at me, I'll answer you later.

Today, my friends, was a good day. A very good day. *beams* Full details can be found at the ever lovely Sakura Board, but I'll recap here.
1. Asuka installment has been translated. There are A/K snugglies. Keri goes ^___^.
2. Episode 19 has been summarized. Even if the divorce isn't exactly "Wife? What wife? Karen, run off to Hawaii with me!", there is still much to love about this episode. MUCH. Far from bastardizing the tea scene and subsequent events, it has improved on them. Includes part of Karen's drama track (the good part). Final scene has been largely UST-ified. Keri goes ^________^ and wonders if someone on the staff of the anime isn't an A/K shipper too.
3. X fighting game. Being developed. For Playstation. Will come out this year. They're listening to us, people. I'd be scared if I wasn't so damn excited. Karen in 3D! I may die! Unfortunately, there is not yet a converter to play Japanese games on the PS2 (even though it's gonna be a Playstation game), and probably won't ever be a legal one because it's a DVD player and that whole fucking region code issue. So I decided if it all goes through and the game is produced, I'll just have to buy a PS. ^_^;;; I saw one online for today, though. Shouldn't be too terrible. My mom thinks I'm nuts, though. XD
Oh, and I was too quick to reply to the Asuka yesterday... I guess Karen wasn't really telling Nataku to kill her, just using that as an example to prove to Nataku that it really did have emotions. Hn. Still. She needs to quit with the self-sacrificing bit. *nod nod*
Beth, the new chapter of Home and Heart was neat. Bad Seishirou, no cookie. Hehe, I like your Sei characterization, very smooth and charming but still evil. Karen being an S/S fangirl is cute, and I must say it's a relief to see them survive a fight in a fic for once... ^^;;;
Hai, it is amusing, isn't it? ^_~ It seems as if it was just a way to show Aoki's determination to protect his family and to get him to meet up with Yuuto at the same time, but with the pro-A/K-ness of the anime so far, who knows? ^___^
Yay, I'm not the only one! *examines pic* Maybe it's 'cause he's so pale... but I really think it's that creepy little smile o.O;;; Dunno how Kimmie can think he looks hot in that pic... XD
Maria, you're not going to finish the Karen lemon? :_: Ever gonna let anyone see what you have of it so far? (Unfinished is better than nothing at all hehe) It sounded interesting. *sniffle* (well, of course it sounded interesting to me, but that's beside the point XD)
Hmm, I don't know if I'd say "First Contact" is worth getting... 'course, I paid much more than it was worth for it, 'cause I got it on Ebay. -.- It kind of is just a bunch of pretty screencaps, but it's nice anyway. And it has some neat sketches of the settings (including "Park With Big Tree", which I think is supposed to be Ueno XD)... *shrugs* I'm sure I'd appreciate it a lot more if I could read Japanese (curse my laziness ^^;;;)... but I'm glad I have it, just 'cause I'm obsessive. XD
No problem. And I'm afraid I wasn't in the fandom at the time Seishirou died, so I kinda came into it knowing, but that is an interesting question. ^_~
