Fun weekend!
Friday night a whole bunch of us went to Chili's for a birthday dinner for Joc and Lex! Good times, and good food! Afterwards, we went to Lex's house and watched The 40 Year Old Virgin. Everybody else didn't like it too much, but I was laughing pretty hysterically. Fucking weird ending though...
Saturday I sat on my ass all day :) Ended up going grocery shopping, and then babysitting for a new family. 2 kids, 6 hours, $70, and all the fricked VH1Country channel I want. Hell yeah.
Oh, I saw the video for Whiskey Lullabye and I started crying. Again. That video seriously gets me EVRY TIME! It's soooo unimaginably sad. I'm getting depressed just thinking about it. *weeps*
On a lighter note: I decided that I am very attracted to Blake Shelton. I had a secret crush on him whenever I saw his last video... but I never wanted to admit it, because he had a long man-ponytail... but now - he CUT IT! AND he is one sexy motherfucker.

BEFORE

AFTER
Eh? EH? See - muuuuch better! He still looks kinda strange in the pic that I found, but not bad. He has such a nice square jaw. And perfect teeth. And an adorable nose. AND THOSE EYES!!! Mmmmm... Oh, and he's playing with Dierks at the Opry. I GET TO SEE TWO HOTTIES IN ONE CONCERT! WOOOOOO!
Today I bummed around for a bit and watched the Food Network. And I also realized that I am attracted to Tyler Florence AND Jim O'Connor. DAMN! What the hell is wrong with me? Too much atraction this weekend fo sho! Anyway, I made a little shopping trip, and got THE FUCKING MOST ADORABLE FRENCH CONNECTION SKIRT EVERRRR. I just tried to look for a picture of it online - and nothing - but let me describe it. Oh... it flows down to mid-knee. It's a crisp white linnen with teenytiny pinkish-orangey and brown diagonal stripes on it, and it buttons on top with a little tie as well. I'm in love. AAAAH! And I bought an adorable tank to go with it - pink with brown and white beads along the neckline. It's soooooo cute! I can't wait to wear it. Hmm... with my little ornage purse and my pink sandals. Adorable!
OH SHIT. I just forgot that I had an AP Humanitites test to study for for tomorrow. Fuck that. I made flash cards, all I have to do is study them so I know titles/authors, and I'll be done. Yeah... whatever.

OK, so I basically agreen not to go to Nashville over Spring Break, but...
I GET TO GO SEE DIERKS BENTLEY OVER EASTER!!!
HOLY SHIT! I was fighting with my mom cause she didn't want to go next weekend, and she's like, "Why dosn't the whole family just go over Easter?" And I was like... let me check who's playing The Opry then... And I knew Dierks was playing it in April, but I thought it was the week before Easter, but I guess not! Oh holy fuck! I've been obsessed with Dierks Bentley ever since What Was I Thinking. I think I like him the same/if not more than Keith. He's SOOOO AMAZING!

OH! HE'S GORGEOUS! I LOVE DIERKS! His music is so personal and heart-felt. Come to think of it - I think 3 of his songs are on my Top 25 Most Played on my iPod... SO GOOD! OOOOH, I'm like freaking out! DB! YAY! This is gunna be the BEST EASTER EVERRRR!

It feels like I hardly update anymore... gotta lot of random stuff going on.
So last night I got a call at call to babysit at 7! Thats so late... but it was OK, cause any opportunity to make money that I can get - I'll take. So I went over for an hour and a half... and I got paid $40!!! That was really exciting!
Lunch today was probably the funniest lunch all year! It all started with us talking about Lauren's dating criteria, which a guy has to be a) straight and b) taller than her... which prompted Sarah to start talking about about what if Lauren fell in love with a midgit or "True Midgit Love", I believe was the exact quote - and the conversation exploded form there!
Sarah: If I was a midgit, I wouldn't only want to date other midgits! Its discrimination!Which leads us all to believe that Sarah is in love with smaller people. It was sooo funny. I started crying out of sheer joy. Oh, lunch table goodness!
Art Club was a lot of fun today as well. We had to do 'impressionist' paintings... so I did what any good impressionist would do, and painted eggs and hashbrowns. It actually turned out much better than I intended - it made me really hungry!! HASHBROWNS! Mmmmm...
Tomorrow I'm going to bowling and then out for dinner with Joc and Lex for their birthdays! Yummy Chinese food, who can't resist, then babysitting Saturday night, and my weekend will end with a possible lunch outting with the Blonde One. Sounds funnnnn, like hashbrowns... gunna get a snack!

Yeah... so realy random - it just touched me, and I know if I don't post this somewhere, I'll forget:
I ask myself how badly do I want this?
I really want this.

OK, so Ashley just e-mailed me - and she told me that Stuart Murdoch, the really cute guy who's the lead singer of Belle & Sebastian...
IS 38 YEARS OLD!
So when I said that he looked like a baby Michael Vartan (who's also 38) it turns out is really the SAME AGE as MV. What the shit? The man is 38, looks like he's 25, and dances like he's 14. I don't underdtand. Also, Keith Urban's 38. Point Proven.

Been a while - and what better to update than while babysitting. Heh.
Last night was completely amazing! After school me, Allie, Krista, Welke, and CoWalter decided to go to Krispy Kreme! And we got HOT DONUTS! Much like HOT PIE! But... BETTER! Because there are more frosting. Mmmm... then afterwards, I went on over to Starbucks and was a glutton, and hung out with Ashley, Cocoa, and Flood. Then it was time to drive on home and get ready for the concert.
I picked up Sarah (and saw Prudence!!) and we went to get Ashley and Cocoa. When we got to LSD (heh) it was soooooo sloowwww! It took A WHOLE HOUR just to go 10 miles to the Riv! So we stopped by McD's and got some quick food and then made it just in time to see the New Pornographers. Ohhh - they were really good! I was really anxious for Sing Me Spanish Techno AND THEY PLAYED IT! Oh it was amazing. They played this crazy green instrument that really looked like a crack pipe. Serisouly. Spanish techno. Heeeh.
After, like an hour, Belle & Sebastian finally got on. It was so happy! He is the most amazing dancer. I had a really big crush on him - he looked like a baby Michael Vartan

Sooo cute! Anyway, it was a really good concert. I mean, c'mon, who dosn't love Scottish folk-rock???

Holy shit!
I LOVE NADA SURF!
Ooooh, my god! BEST CONCERT EVER. It pretty much tied up with Keith. YEAH - TIED WITH KEITH!
It was so incredible!
Ok, so yesterday it was really crappy and snowed all day, so then I called Ashley, and we made driving arrangements to get down to The Metro for the concert. She picked me, and we chatted our way down to chicago about our weekends (see below) and life in general. Ashley is really good at that. Anyway, we found some pretty damn sweet parking, and decided that McDonalds for dinner was quite appropriate. Ha. there was this lady who was really drunk/high/mentally unstable (?) and she was stading OUTSIDE the McDonalds trying to scream through the window at this guy inside it. She was yelling and flailing! and pounding on all the windows... it was really funny. Then she just walked away. ...
Then we walked on back over to The Metro. I LOVE IT! It's so cozy. I thought it was really big... but I was very mistaken.
I've had the good fortune of seeing pretty good opening acts, in general. And Nada Surf was no exception. Inara George opened first. She was really good - she reminded me of Emiliana Torrini a lot, and I really liked her. Well, SHE played ora n hour. Then Rogue Wave took the stage after Inara. They were really good - kinda reminded me of Nada themselves. and then THEY played for an hour... so by the time Nada Surf started - it was almost 10:30.
Ooooh, they were so good. Me and Ashley got good "seats" - we found a open place on the balcony overlooking the stage - much better than Death Cab, because we could actually see something... ANYWAY - The opened with The Blizard of 77 cause, like I said it was snowing the whole day... very appropriate. Then they continued with awesome songs like Hi Speed Soal and Amateur.
I expected them to be really chill - because I was very familiar with Inside of Love - but they rocked the Metro. There were all these guitar jams - and drum solos... and it was so cool how you could feel the bass in the floor. Oh, it was so good.
During Inside of Love they got the whole crowd to dance like 40's dances... for almost the whole song. It was so funny to see all these people swaying in unison below. Heh.
Ooooh, BLANKEST YEAR was soo funny - they replaced half of the words with fuck it! which made for excellent viweing! And then all these random people came up and danced on stage with them. And Rogue wave. It was soooo good!
Then I almost FREAKED OUT (well, I actually did). THEY PLAYED MY FAVORITE SONG!!! I didn't think they would - cause Paper Boats is so slow and chill - but they jammmmmed it, and it was a very touching experience. That's my melancholy song. I really love it. So much emotion. Ohhh.
I wish my picutres were working! I got a few good pics form the balcony - so I wasnted t post those- but due to tempermental camera - those will be postponed.
Oh, and they played Always Love and a really funny song called Fruit Flies. Ashley was laughing her ass off the whole time at that one. It was good.
OK, so they said that they were gunna play at Lalapalooza this year - AND (fuck it!) I'M GOING! And I've decided that I was going to take Sarah cause I think she'll enjoy them a lot. Aaaanyway- school night, and a shower is necessary. Oh, I love NADA SURF. Yay!!!!!!!!!!

Ooooh... was I right ot what?
BEST WEEKEND EVER!
THURSDAY
Ok, so after school on Thursday I finished getting ready and Allie came and picked me up to go visit Lauren in Madison. I always forget how much I LURVE road trips with friends. For the first hour, we just quietly chatted and drove... but then we burst into song with "Rock Lobster" and the absolute theme of the weekend: "It's All Coming Back To Me Now"
It's so much fun to scream/sing to the lyrics. Oh man... going 100 on the freeway screaming
BABY BABY BABY - When you touch me like this, and you kiss me like that, It was sooo long ago, but it's all coming back to me NOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!
It was so amazing. I think the best part of that song was at the end when she fades out with
And if you kiss me like thisAnd it just ends. Haha, Allie goes (in Chinese accent!) Ohhh no! Soo much left unsaid!
(it's all coming back to me)
And if you do it like that
(it's all coming back to me)
And if we...
Oh, good times!
OK, so after the car ride up to Madison, we met Lauren and hung out in the dorms with Lauren's friends. There was a talking monkey. And people playing tennis, and ME AND ALLIE GOT WRITTEN-UP! hahaha! Long story... and it could be incriminating...
FRIDAY
We woke up early for breakfast, and then me and Allie went shopping in downtown Madison while Lauren went to classes. It was a lot of fun. Lots of hussy dresses ($1!) and NOOOOODLES and too much walking for my taste. But I'm a lazy son of a bitch, so I don't count.
Then later, all 6 of us piled up in the Mustang, and drove on onver to OLIVE GARDEN (soo gooood!) for carb-loading. Heh. Yay for breadsticks and more breadsticks and soup and salad. It was delicious.
Then after OG we went back to the dorm to get ready to go to Acacia. OK, so I remember pretty much everything, but again, with the incriminating thing - I'll just post some memorable quotes from that evening...
"Heyyyy kelllabellaaaaa - i looove you"
"Puke on some big 'ol boobies!"
"Ew... it's slimey!"
"Hey, Allie - go put your arm around that guy..."
"Let's go up the stairs to chink-land!!!!!"
"Ohhh my goddd - is he dead?"
"Oooh, LOOK! It's Mike from Minnesota! NO, WAIT, Tim... NO MIKE! From Minnesota? No? Wisconsin? Mike from Wisconsin? Thats not right..."
And there were lots more... lets just say I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my whole life. heh.
SATURDAY
Time to go. In the afternoon after some shopping with Lauren, we headed on back to Chicago. Booo.... I would put some pictures up. But, they are very crazy - so they might just have to be kept to myself... anyway, I wanna visit Lauren again. SOON. More road trips... with more Celine Dion. YAY!
I've been held back by something
