Ooooohohohohhhhooo~ BEST WEEKEND EVER PLANNED! YAY!
Tommorrow after school me and Allie depart for a fun-filled weekend with Lauren, and come back on Sat. Sat. night - babysitting, and Sunday (kinda last minute) I just bought NADA SURF tickets!!
Oh, HELL YEAH! I looooooove them! Oh, and wake up early Monday for yet another college visit - Michigan State. I'll be rockin the weekdend. Ohhh yeah.
- Monday, February 27, 2006 | 10:59 p.m.
Awwww, HELL YEAH! 1 Hour and 6 Pages later, and I'm going to bed. That was a bitch and a half... not going to procrastinate next time... but i probably will.
i would've had more time, except I mde dinner tonight - BEST chicken pot pie everrrrr. Always trust a fat cook. I'm gunna go with that... cause Giada stuff never tastes as good as old Barefoot Contessa. she's my hero. aaaaannnyway, I should shower. Ew. *yawn* night-night
- Monday, February 27, 2006 | 09:51 p.m.
Oh mannnn... I just spaced out for the past 20 minutes. and got nothing done. Is SlackerADD possible. EDD Energy Deficit Disorder... where you just sit and do absolutely nothing. Come to think of it, they have a word for that:
Lazy.
- Monday, February 27, 2006 | 09:30 p.m.
1 paper down - two more to go. Hmmm... maybe I can turn in the 3 works paper tomorrow, and turn in the Art Institute Paper Wednesday... thats sounding pretty darn good right now. we'll see how long it takes to write those damn 3 works. KILL ME NOW!!!!!
- Monday, February 27, 2006 | 08:22 p.m.
I have three papers due tomorrow. AND I ACTUALLY HAVE TO DO ALL 3 OF THEM . Fuuuuuuck!
Today was really funny. I saw the new Alamaba state quarter. Oh holy fuck. Thats all I'm going to say.
So excited for Thursday! Ahahahaha! Going to be good times, nay, EXCELLENT times. Oh, how much fun I will have. Good weekend coming up. I can feel it in my fingers (i feel it in my toes, christmas is all around me, and so the feeling goeeesssss) Burst into a little Love Actually there. heh.
- Sunday, February 26, 2006 | 07:04 p.m.
Wow, I procrastinate WAAAAY too much. Tomorrow I have an AP Humanities test that I need to study for, and Tuesday I have 4 papers due! A religion paper, a humanities paper for the Art Institute and 2 3-work papers. Well, I think that I'm only going to do one of the 3-work papers. And I'll do that tomorrow. Shit.
I woke up really late today, and sat on my ass and watched the Food Network all day. Rachael Ray made a delicious "Brocoli Rabe and Veal Dumpling Soup", but veal was too expensive and I couldn't find any brocoli rabe, so I changed it to "Spinach and Turkey Dumpling Soup". Ha, come to think of it, I hardly used any ingredients that she used at all... macaroni noodles instead of orichetti, pinto beans instead of catalini, shallots instead of onions... etc. And it still tasted very excellent. I outdid myself on that one. Mmmmm... leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Yum-O. Heh.
So I'm getting really excited:
12 more days until Belle & Sebastian
52 more days until Death Cab for Cutie
144 days til Country Thunder
Hell yeah I can count! Woooo! I'm pretty darn excited. Especially for this weekend, its gunna start early, and its gunna be amazing. anyway, I REALLY HAVE TO study to get that 64 on my last test up. I'm outta here.

So now that I'm listening to "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" for the rest of the evening... heres a little summary.
So I went babysitting for only 3 hours, and...
I MADE $20 AN HOUR!
Yeah! So My Usuals went out with this couple who couldn't find a babysitter, so the girl came over, and I swear she had severe ADD (she even said she took pills for that!!). So for 3 fucking hours I had to run around, be climbd over, and pick up the whole house. Jeeeez, I earned that money! For once ;)
Now I'm jus' chillin'. I think that I'm gunna just gunna go to bed early and listen to some more "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk"
That really is my favortie song. I'm not even gunna deny it anymore. Its out in the open. OH YES, ITS BACK ON SHUFFLE! AHHAHAHAHAAAA!

Oh. I just got all nostalgic all of a sudden. I forgot who it was, I think Allie, and we were talking about crazy things that we did in grade school - and my mind immediately went to this thing called "The Sackage" that we used to do. I think we only did it a couple of times, but still... Looking back on that, I seriously think that its one of the funniest things of my life. I'm not even gunna explain - because it would take too long, and some crazy things are best not said. I'm pretty much sure that my gradeschool friends hardly remember me, cause we don't hang out anymore, and I don't know why. Well, I can name a couple of reasons. But there not very good ones, I guess. No real excuses. It kind of scares me that such good friends (in general) can pretty much vanish in hardly any time. Maybe thats what'll happen in college. I don't even know if I'll still talk to my high school friends by this time next year. It's happened before... grade school friends, swimming friends. Maybe its just me, maybe I'm just used to change, maybe I'm just being stupid. Stupid sounds pretty good. Indifferent, maybe. I don't know. Or maybe I'm being hypocritical. I really do have problems with people who drop their good friends so easily for no reason. Thats what really bothers me about my own friends most of the time. But I fall within that category too. Its not easy for anyone to lose good friends, it just seems easier to some. It's not easy for me. Although people probably don't think that about me. I think thats why I keep thikning back to gradeschool. I'm not really sure what my old friends are doing, but I think that they are still all friends. Which makes me the odd person out. The person that who just left the group and found other friends, and dosn't care anymore, and that nobody likes because they think I don't care anymore. But thats not true. I do care. And I'm thinking, that since that happened in gradeschool, it'll probably still happen in high school. But maybe I'm not even that scared for my high school friends. I know pretty much who I'm going to talk to, and who I'm not. It's clear. I know my real friends by now. I guess I've been typing fervently for the past couple of minutes... and it makes sense to me. But probably not to everyone. This entry isn't really for any purpose. I was just thinking.
- Friday, February 24, 2006 | 10:29p.m.
Oh man, bad day turned good real fast. Nothing in particular. Just chilling.
So after school everyone didn't go to bowling - SO I DID! I bowled with Ashley, Joc, Lex, and Flood. Me and Joc shared a spot and took turns. I was doin pretty good - but then I had to leave to go clean the house.
Sarah came over a little bit later, and we decided to go nuts and make dinner. Mmmmm... spEghetti and meatballs (too many breadcrumbs...) with yummy meat sauce. Oh, it was so good - nothing like some hommade Italian cooking. We shoulda done it Giada style - fake accents and all.
After din, we headed on onver to D-T Naperville to see Mrs. ArtClubLady's (I'm not even gunna try to spell the last name) art gallery show. It was so cool! There were all these kinds of paintings there, and really ugly sculpture (my speciality!) and statues. It was so interesting to see all the different kinds of art, and it really inspired me. And Sarah. Oh, heh heh, there was a live BANJO BAND there. It was pretty swinging! Anyway, afterwards, we went to Starbucks and chilled there for a little while until we got too tired and headed home.
I'm really starting to , well, scratch the surfice of Sarah's music taste - I made her a playlist, and she actually LIKED it! I was really proud. I need to finish that into a CD. And then I will be the master! Mwahahaha!
So this weekend is going to be very chill. Tomorrow, I actually have NO PLANS. Well, except for babysitting - which I desperately need money. I have 4 cents. Thats not good! And then Kristen is out of town Sunday - so no lunch. :( I'm gunna be a loser this weekend - but I'm OK with that for now. Tomorrow, I think I'm gunna sleep in. It's gunna be fucking amazing!
So I'm SOOO excited for next weekend. Thursday night me and Allie are driving up to Madison to VISIT LAUREN! YAAAAY! I miss Lauren sooo much! And we're gunna hang out with sailors and maybe even some FARMERS and we're gunna go to a hockey game. Oh, yay. And then we're staying Thurs. night and Fri. night and going home Saturday afternoon and then I can hopefully babysit next Saturday too. Then Sunday I promised to hang out with Ashley and Joc, and then Monday I'm going to check out Michigan State again, cause I might be going there. Dunno yet. They do have a really good foodservice program. I just don't know though. So many decisions.
Well, thats about all for now, I need my chocolate fix, so I'm out.
- Wednesday, February 22, 2006 | 09:21 p.m.
Boring day. But what can you expect - its the middle of the week and no LOST on tonight. Actually, it WAS on, but the rerunned the pilot episode. What the hell? If you're gunna show reruns, make sure you show the damn ones with the hot shirtless southern men! Jeez, is that too much to ask for, now? C'mon...
So I found my iPod in between two of the cushins on the couch. How the hell did it get in there? I have no clue. I was listening to it home from Purdue, and the next thing I know, I can't find the damn thing - and then it ends up in the couch. What the shit? AND it ran out of batteries. At least when I plugged it in it updated all my Dierks songs.
Speaking of Dierks, I've had "Come a Little Closer" on repeat. Mmmmm...
Come a little closer baby
I feel like strippin' it down
back to the basics of you and me
and what makes the world go 'round
every inch of you against my skin
i wanna be stronger than we've even been
so come a little closer baby
I FEEL LIKE STRIPPIN IT DOWN
Dammmnnnn! That's good.
So I've had two (TWO!) people who I've never met before call me to babysit this weekend. What's happening this weekend thats so important? I dunno. I didn't get any calls about babysitting on Valentine's day, but two weekends after, and... shit. Other people who I used to babysit for referenced me to these people. I don't get it though.
Well, I should finish listening to Come a Little Closer for the 57487502975439 time, and then get up in my shower. The suns gunna rise on a better dayyyyyy...

- Tuesday, February 21, 2006 | 09:15 p.m.
Alright, so I'm now catching up with myself now. Good.
Last week was a lot of fun. I failed an AP Humanities test - and don't really care. Just a test, whatever. Me, Allie and Becky went to a BBall game at Benet, that was kinda fun. Uuummm, Friday I went bowling. Then after that me and Ashley and Cocoa went to Panera before ANOTHER bball game. We made Cheesus. The boys lost their game, but I had to leave a minute early because I went TPing!!!
Oh, it was sooo cold! We started at Meister's house, and we got it REAL good. Lots of TP and chalk and shitty silly-string stuff. then we went to Meel's house. We were too cold to do a good job on that one, so we moved on again to TK's house. We got that one real good! We used all of our toilet paper on that house, and Tom even came out to say hi to us while we were TPing. It was really funny. Then me and Allie went to our old stomping grounds, 7/11, and warmed up with coffee and Slurpies. Mmmm, then I got home at about 2, and went to bed.
Saturday was Turnabout. That was a lot of fun. I woke up early, and got some Food Network in before I ran out to Walmart to buy some cheap jewelry to go with my dress. After that I had to shower and get my hair done in lots of curls for the dance. After the hair, I picked up Matt and we went to pictures and dinner at Magnum's which was SOOO GOOD! Best mashed potatoes I even had. They were amazing. Then we went to the dance, and it was a lot of fun. I danced with lots of people and found Allie and Domo for "My Humps" - v reminiscent of swimming, I don't know why. Then after the dance, we went to Lexi's house to watch some Reno 911! and Jackass. I really wanted to stay, but after 4 hours of sleep the night before, and lots of dancing, I was exhausted by 1, and eventually got home by 2.
Sunday was a really fun day. My family went shopping for a new refredgerator and groceries (yay!) and then me and my mom went shopping some more for pretty things. I got a really cute skirt. Really cute.
Then later on after dinner, Allie called me, and she came over for a little bit, and we talked about TAB for a little while, and then Becky called, and she wanted to know if we wanted to go to some kid's b-day party. So we agreed, and headed on over to Jewel for a card. This is the good part:
So we picked out this balloon, and (shake that) Laffy Taffy's and a card, and we went into the self checkout. Well, we scanned everything, and we were about to leave, with the card and candy in hand - then I realized, what happened to the balloon?
I asked Allie what she did with it, and she said that she let it go. And then she looked up and IT WAS ON THE CEILING. Completely unreachable. so I had to go up to the Customer Service lady and tell her what happened. So the lady gets out this "Runaway Balloon Catcher" stick-thing, and tried to hook the balloon to the end of the stick. When that didn't work, they tried to get it down with tape - that didn't work at first either. The whole time I was just standing there laughing my ass off that Allie let the balloon go, and that the people couldn't catch it. FINALLY they got it, and we headed on over to Becky's house.
So we drove around to McDonalds, and the kids weren't there, so we decided to screw that, and hang out at Becky's and chat. We ended up eating the Laffy Taffy's and reading the really bad joked on the wrappers. The later it is when you read them, the funnier they get. And then the night ended in some kind of "pre-natal mouse bandit" joke, and we decided to call it quits, and head on home.
Then Sunday I had to wake up bright and early to get to Purdue for some kind of program they had. We ended up being an hour late because of the time change. Stupid eastern time! We ate lunch there, looked around the dorms, and met with advisors. I really like Purdue, and I really want to go there - I just don't know what I want to do yet. I'm so unable to decide!!! Anyway, then we went home, and i had to get ready for school today.
Today was truely a PARTY!! Half of my teachers weren't there today, so we really did nothing. I got offered some Vikatin, and almost had to go to MidgitBitch, but luckily I found alternatives. Ok, then the fun began after school. Me and Kathleen decided to go shoe shopping at Target. Good idea, right? So we get there and wander around the store in the shoe section, and the lingerie section, and looked at all the pretty bathing suits and tried on so much stuffs. It was so fun! Then we realized that it was 5 already, so we rushed to the candy aisle. Kath bought a HUGE BOX of gum, and 3 bags of candy. I bought 4 bras, and 3 bags of candy. The ride home was full of chocolate and comparing gummy-dog flavors and Her-Skin-Is-Cinnamon. What a good Tuesday!
I made dinner tonight. When I was watching Everyday Itialian yesterday I saw this really good recipe for Pasta with Spinach Cheese Sauce. So I attempted it tonight, and I really didn't like it. Too much garlic, not enough spinach. Then I also made these really cool Michael Chiarello Potatoes Da Delfina which were boiled, then smashed and fried with garlic and rosemary. Those were delicious. Probably because I fried them - but they turned out pretty good. Anyway, I shoud get off to my shower. Big day tomorrow - ok, not really, I'm just getting sleepy.
I'm out.
- Tuesday, February 21, 2006 | 08:52 p.m.
There's a reason for the song - wait for it... Aaaah, I havn't updated in so long. I'm a disgrace!!! But I kinda have a good reason - I wanted to update with the Keith pictures from the concert last week, to kinda keep things in sequential order... but, as you can see, that didn't turn out too well. Aaaanyway, I'll post a GINORMOUS entry, starting now:
So last weekend (two weekends ago?), ahh yes - two weeks ago, after the post-Urban bliss. The day after Keith, me and Allie headed on over to the Yorktown mall for some dress shopping. I found a really cute brown and gold dress, and even though I had a green one, bought the brown one anyway. Allie didn't find anything, but she did try on a really cute pink dress. Wowwww, I took these hilarious picutres. REALLY wish I had them on the computer to post. Well, after the dress shopping, I went to Allie's house for a little baking action. We looked meticulously through recipe cards and cookbooks, and finally found a recipe for "Luscious Lumps" (?) and Cookie Fudge Bars.
The recipe (a handwritten and horribly misspelled one) for "Luscious Lumps" was pretty damn shady and very vaugue. After listing 15 ingredients, it just said, "Bake." So we figured our best bet was the fudge cookie bars. And we also decided that dirt cups would be absolutely fabulous.
So then we went to Dominick's, and picked up the supplies, and started baking. We found these gloves - the OV GLOVES, and once again, I really wish I could post these pictures, cause we got down and dirty in the OV GLOVES. Hot times in the kitchen! Ow!
Then after soo much splurging on chocolate and dirt cups and gummy worms, and more chocolate, it was time for Kelly to go home, and get into her cozy bed. End day Saturday.
Sunday was also a particularly busy day for me. At around noon I met up with Kristen for some lunch at Panera and had the yummy Black Bean soup. So good! We sat and talked and traded stories about Keith and crazy weekends, and had a jolly good time. We stayed there for an hour or 2, just chillen'.
Then at 2, when we were leaving, I called Kath to inform her that I was going to come and pick her up to hang out. We went to Starbucks for an hour, once again, just chillin' it was a very chill day. Then at 3 we drive to Lover's Lane. There was no real purpose for our trip - just to be rauncy, I guess. We met Lyncher there, and the three of us nervously wantered around the very tiny store.
Most of you probably don't know - but Lover's Lane has WAY much more tha just lingerie. They have a whole entire SECTION dedicated to... battery operated toys. Ahem... And a section of videos, books, birthday cards, and whips. Seperate sections. OH, and there was a swing. With stirrups. I felt very uncomfortable in there, but, alas, I still made some purchases.
First of all, me and Kathleen decided that we were going to buy these really funny panties. They had man-panties too! Anyway, she bought ones that had animal print on them (they were really cool!) and I got these really funny biblical panties - let me explain:
So its a flesh colored thong, but right in the front part - THERES A LEAF! LIKE ADAM AND EVE! Oh, its soooo funny. I wore them the other day. I felt really holy in a vrey unholy way. ...
Well, that about wraps up that. Um, ok, I'll talk about last week - but I'll do that in the next entry.
- Tuesday, February 21, 2006 | 07:59 p.m.
Well, as I left off, I was going to the Keith Urban concert with my buddies Mary and Mary Kate.
Un-Fucking-Believable
So, I started off at Benet with the kiddies, and from there we went to Stake N Shake for a wonderful dinner complete with chili (Mmmm... CHILI!). After the fabulous chili, we got on the highway, and in NO TIME we were at the Allstate Arena. We did hit a bit of traffic, but got there in time to find our seats (on the FLOOR!) and walk around and make purchases at the Monkeyville Merchandise stand.
I got a REALLY cute pink Tshirt. The front is some kind of design in black, and the monkey logo on it, and it says "Still Alive in '06", which is the name of the tour... v appropriate.
Then we waited back in our seats to see Pat Green. He was... OK, I guess. He rocked out on "3 Days" which is my favorite song of his, and "Baby Doll" wasn't too bad either. During his final song (and only real hit) I snuck away and found the Monkeyville Customs Agent and got my first real passport stamp! It was really cool, I don't care what you say. Then I returned to my seat... and thats where the fun started!!
Mary Kate left for a bit to get a Pat Green Tshirt, so me and Mary decided to scope the audience. Well, we didn't have to scope too far - cause we noticed this amazingly gorgeous man sitting next to us. Maybe late 20s, early 30s... so cute! So tried a few things, and then finally got his attention. He was from Iowa, and he was alone! And it was his second time seeing Keith. So we figured he was gay. Too bad.
Then I called Allie, cause she was there with Elyse and Ann in the skybox seats. I saw her waving, and the whole time during the concert I saw them all dancing. It was fun.
Ok, so there was this guy sitting next to me. He was dragged to the concert by his wife, and he was drinking heavily. He was talking on his cell phone for like 10 minutes drunk-slurring:
I don't even know where the hell I'm at - some hillbilly concert with a whole bunch of hillbillies all over the place. I don't even know what the hell this damn hillbilly singer sings, he should just get the hell on stage and start talking. Damn hillbillies ... etc.I almost killed the man. Who the hell does he think he is calling everyone (and Keith) a hillbilly. Oh well, at least he made a really big fool of himself. Damn hillbilly...
OK, then the lights dimmed: AND KEITH CAME ON! OOoooooh, It was SO GOOD. Our seats were amazing! We could see the stage perfectly from where we were. He opened with "Days Go By" and then I think he played "Where the Blacktop Ends" and "Raining on Sunday." OOOOMG! ROS was amazing, cause at the end, he had this wind machine blowing his hair all over the place. I was laughing so hard. What a man...
Then he played "God's Been Good To Me" and "You're My Better Half."
Then, this part really gets me pissed - he brought this girl up from the stage to sing "You Look Good in My Shirt" with him. She came up and layed on the floor and he kissed her. But thats not the bad part - she was supposed to sing with him, and when she got up there, she mouths "I don't know this one."
What the shit?
What REAL Keith fan dosn't know that song? It's unbeliavble. He was laughing at her. Haha. Everyone was laughing at her. What a friggen idiot.
Ok: So the BEST part of the concert:
So after a little bit, he just comes to the front of the stage, and grabs this little handle thing (EXACTLY like he did in St.Louis!) And since I saw him do this 2 months prior - I knew what was happening - He was going to "fly" out into the middle of the crowd, and play on a little stage set up there.
I grabbed Mary Kate and Mary, and we rushed up to the edge of this little stage, and mere seconds later:
I was less than 10 feet from Keith Urban!!
10 feet! I was so close that I could hear his voice even before it got through the microphone - I could hear the strumming of the guitar strings before the amp picked up the sounds. It was sooo amazing. I snapped a few quick pictures, and DIDN'T EVEN NEED THE ZOOM! It was SO INCREDIBLE. After seeing Keith four other times - the fifth time really was the BEST.
On the little stage he played an acoustic "But For the Grace of God", one of my favorite Ranch songs "Homespun Love", and then he rocked out to "Jeans On". Oooooh it was SO AMAZING. I almost cryed. But I was too excited.
During "Jeans On" Mary tapped me on the shoulder, and she told me that Nicole Kidman was like right next to me. Of couse, I was so enthralled in Keith that I didn't even notice. So I gave my camera to Mary, and she took 2 pics of a hiding Nicole Kidman. And then after "Jeans On" he headed on back up to the main stage, and we headed back to our seats.
From then on, the concert was pretty chill. He slow-jammed us into "Making Memories of Us" and the cat-and-sweater goodness of "You'll think of Me". Then, I was really surprised, he covered Brooks & Dunn's "Brand New Man", which he had never covered before. Come to think of it, it was the only country song that he;s even really covered - all rock before.
Then he hopped on the drums for a bit, strummed the banjo, and eventually JAMMED out on the electric guitar for "Nobody Drinks Alone." That song was so amazing. he just stood there and played this incredible guitar solo for like 3 minutes. It was so much fun. He sang one of my fav's "Who Wouldn't Wanna be Me" before taking a small hiatus to bring out the piano for "Tonight I Wanna Cry." After that he ended with "Somebody Like You" and "These Are the Days." It was so sad when it ended - it was so incredible.
Right after the concert I got a call from Allie, who said that all of them were friggen obsessed with Keith now. That reminded me of the first time I saw him too. Good times.
Anyway, I know that it sounds crazy but I'M going to see Keith Urban AGAIN! I got tickets for July 17 at County Thunder. YAY! Only 149 more days to look foward to seeing my Keith again!
- Thursday, February 9, 2006 | 05:13 p.m.
Wooo! SO FRICKEN PUMPED!
So I was watchin the Grammy's last night... and I saw Keith Urban... and then it happened. You know, the moment when you finally realize that the hell's going on in your stupid pathetic little life. It hit me like a Semi-Truck in the middle of the interstate:
I'M GOING TO SEE KIETH URBAN TOMORROW
Holy motherfuck! HOLY MOTHERFUCK! I'm soooo excited. So for the past 24 hours, I've been on this incredible caffiene (?) high... I don't even know. But I'm sooo excited! And then I listened to Days Go By in the car, and I GOT EVEN MORE EXCITED. I"M GOING TO SEE KEITH URBAN TOMORROW. AAAAAHHHHHH!!!
So I think I'm still bowling after school tomorrow, and then I'll hang at SBsquared until its time to pick up the Youngin's. Oh, and Elyse is takign people too, so ALLIE'S GUNNA GO. And I bet you that it will be an even more amazing experience thatn Country Thunder, probably cause we'll actually get to hear something. HOLY SHIT! Can't freaking wait.
I just got back from Walmart. I went and I bought 3 small gold hoops for each ear... kinda like how Keith has 3 small gold hoops. Heeee. Just for fun. Ya, know. And I still need to pick out what to wear. So many options.
Tomorrow in gym, we're having a b-day party for Mr. Cabay. I need to bake cupcakes really bad. Mmmm, cupcakes.
Also, tonight, is this Purdue night thing. I get to meet all the people going to Purdue form my area. Which should be a blast, no doubt.
Kristen's decided not to go ot Kansas this weekend, so she might be going to see Keith. Sunday we're going to lunch and then DRESS SHOPPING. Thats really exciting. I wanna find a really cute dress.
I've been on the most intense Dierks Bentley kick lately. I know the Keith concert is tomrrow, but I just can't stop listening to Dierks. Too bad he's opening for Kenny Chesney :( That means that just to see Dierks I'd have to pay 70$ per ticket (I might consider) but then I'd have to sit through another Kenny concert. Pros and Cons, my friends. Pros and Cons.
Mmmm, OK, so I think I should get ready for the Purdue night. And for the concert tomorrow (holy motherfuck!) and hope fully I won't forget my Monkeyville Passport again. I need stamps! anywayyyyy, I'm out.
*excited squeeeeeel for tomorrow*

I was traveling through south Georgia yesterday and noticed a lot of signs saying "pecans ahead." Wouldn't "restrooms ahead" be more appropriate?
What do rednecks call ductape?
Chrome.
An infinite number of rednecks, in an infinite number of pickup trucks, firing an infinite number of shotguns at an infinite number of road signs, will produce all the great works of literature - in Braille.
I just received Alabama's new state quarter. It is two dimes and a nickel taped together.
What's the difference between a Yankee zoo and a Redneck zoo?
On the cage in a Yankee zoo, it will have the name of the animal and the scientific name in Latin. A Southern zoo will have the name of the animal and a recipe.
Did you hear about the redneck who passed away and left his entire estate in trust for his beloved widow?
She can't touch it till she's fourteen.
What's the most popular pick up line in Arkansas?
Nice tooth!
Did you hear about the new 3 million dollar Tennessee State Lottery?
The winner gets 3 dollars a year for a million years.
What do a divorce in Tennessee, a tornado in Kansas and a hurricane in Florida have in common?
Somebody is fixin' to lose them a house trailer.
Why do folks from Tennessee go to the movie theater in groups of 18 or more?
17 and under are not admitted.
What do you get when you have 32 Tennesseeians in the same room?
A full set of teeth.
Why did O.J. Simpson want to move the Tennessee?
Everyone there has the same DNA.
Did you hear that the Governors mansion in Tennessee burned down?
Almost took out the whole trailer park.
A new law was recently passed in Tennessee. When a couple gets a divorce they're still brother and sister.
You know right away the band Barenaked Ladies is from Canada because if they were from Georgia, they would be called Bucknaked Women.
How do you know when your staying in an Arkansas hotel? When you call the front desk and say "I've gotta leak in my sink" and the person at the front desk says "go ahead."
How can you tell if a redneck is married?
There is tobacco spit stains on both sides of his pickup truck.
Did you hear that they have raised the minimum drinking age in West Virginia to 32?
It seems they want to keep alcohol out of the high schools!
Why did God invent armadillos?
So that rednecks can have 'possum on the halfshell.

Today was an incredibly random and interesting day:
So, not too much happened in the morning. you know, the usual get up, drive to school, sit in the hall with friends, go to classes.... etc. After math I asked Matt to Turnabout. That was exciting. Now I get to buy a dress! And go to dinner! And hang out with friends. I had fun last year, so I bet I'll have fun this year, too. Yay. I need to bake a cake still...
Then at lunch I was informed on the latest concert news. SO FRICKEN EXCITED!! Sarah told me that Franz Ferdinand and DEATH CABN FOR CUTIE (!!!) are coming to the Aragon, and tickets go on sale this Sat. HOLY SHIT! The Death Cab concert was pretty much (besides Keith and BSB) the best concert ever. Soooo GOOD. Now, I don't like Franz Ferdinand, and Sarah dosn't like Death Cab, but out musical tastes will join toether when we go. And it's only $30, so hell yeah.
Then after school I had to run to pick Jack up from school, and then we went to Jewel for frosting (for cake, not for consumption) and mac n' cheese... mom's downtown so we need some kind of dinner. And now I really don't feel like doing homework. And I'm probably not going to. So thats about it.

Aaaah, I have had this song stuck in my head all day! Oh, I love it more than annnyythinggg! I think I've listened to it maybe 10 times today.
Who's that girl?
She must be nearly freezing
Who's that girl out there?
All that snow makes it hard so see her
And did she wave to me?
And maybe I'm in love
Love love, love love
And maybe that's enough
That stuff, that stuff
I made a film
I made it through the window
But who's that star I cast?
All wrapped up in her winter wardrobe
She hurries by so fast
And maybe I'm in love
Love love, love love
And maybe that's enough
That stuff, that stuff
On summer days when the sun shines
I watch the tape
And through the snow, through the window
I watch her wave to me
Who's that girl?
She must be nearly freezing
So good, it makes me wanna cry. Ashley was right. It's amazing. I hope they play it at the concert!!!

Oh, that didn't take long to do. Surprising.
Appropriate template, I guess. I dunno, I've been feeling so anti-social lately. I'd rather just stay in the house and cook and watch a nice movie that go out with people. So I guess it's kinda how I feel. Not to mention that senior year absolutely sucks. Oh, I cannot wait to graduate. New school, new friends, no worries. Good thing I know quite a few people going to Purdue, so I got a small group people that I'll know right away. Good timing. I think if I stayed at Benet any longer I'd go crazyyyyyy.
Aaanyway. I got 4 more days til Keith Urban. I'm so excited. Oooooh, yay. homespun Love is amazing to see live. Such a trailer park love song...
Speaking of trailer trash... I finally got my mom to let me get new highlights. Heee. And I even get to leave school early! Wednesday I'm cutting out of study hall, and going to Mario Triccoci at 3, to finally look civilized. My highlights have faded to a nasty blonde, which really contrasts badly with my dark roots. Like I said, trailer trash hair.
Need a fricken joooobbbb
Ok, so I know that I don't have any money to spend... due to my obsession with Seven Jeans and Paper Denim & Cloth. Not a good thing to be addicted to. But I think I'm done there. Unless I see a really cute pair (bad kelly!) in that case, they may become unresistable. Who knows. Maybe I just shouldn't go shopping for expensive clothes, so I won't buy any expensive clothes. Good plan!
I Do need a pair of green flip-flops, to go with my green purse. I got really cute green Coach shoes to go along with it... but I can't very well wear them in the summer. Feet too hot. That's why flip-flops are a MUST. I think I'll head on over to Old Navy sometime this week. For shoes. Only. I'd like a black pair, too. Hmmmmm.... This is what happens to my babysitting money.
I also wanna put aside a bit of money for the concert Friday. There was a really cute zip-up sweatshirt that I saw in December. I also gotta bring along my 'Monkeyville Passport'... forgot it last time. It has no stamps. So sad.
Speaking of concerts... Belle & Sebastian is in 32 days! YAY! Oh, I absolutely love them! And I love the Riviera, where the concert is at. Thats where me and Ashley saw Death Cab last October. Fantastic place - good acoustics. Hmm... I hear the acoustics at the Allstate aren't very good... but I can't imagine that hearing Keith *wouldn't* be good. I'm getting more and more excited!
Anyway, that was a COMLETE AND POINTLESS rant pouring from my fingers. Interesting. Anyway, chicken parmisan awaits. Mmmmmm.
Why Am I So Miserable If These Are the Best Years of My Life?
