3 months 4 days later, here's the latest update....
Something is seriously wrong with me...I've been watching quite a bit of Chinese shows..from the very stupid (albeit funny) Taiwanese Variety show 我猜我猜我猜猜猜 ("Guess"), to this new HK TVB series 爭分奪秒, which, by the way is addicting, so I am glad it's still showing in HK so I can watch one episode per day or I'll be watching this and not get any work done (although me getting work done is a huge oxymoron). Then there's that little obsession with F.I.R. This is all so weird for me and I'm sure all you who knows me agree.
So to get back to familiar territory, watch Desperate Housewives. It's the best new show of the season!!
It snowed on Sunday here. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Update done, see you guys in 3 months time or longer
PS- I'll be appearing offline on MSN until further notice (maybe until next week?) find me on ICQ (or EFNET, for one of you :P)

I've been back in Brunei for a week now and things here are still the same. Nothing much has changed. Brunei==still the slow moving people and the very hot weather. Went to The Mall on Saturday and what a waste of space. Make people malu only. It's even worse than Yayasan. Speaking of Yayasan, I haven't been to Bandar yet. Which is weird, seeing I used to go Bandar all the time. Maybe tomorrow...
Also seen quite a number of friends already. Chee and Sheng always holding hands and doing all those gali things :P. Also Wen who i havent seen for nearly 2 years liao. Hong Sang, who is still a si gi na, Ruby, Shar Lun and Apple. Havent tasted both abc and sate yet though, so hopefully soon soon...
YEsterday, Sultan's birthday. ANd i didnt see any fireworks. Dunno. But I did go to the pasar malam. NOt the one in bandar but the one at the SOAS and bridge to Kiulap there....u know? i hope. with Hong Sang. So boring. Maybe the bandar one will be more festive.
Did anyone watch TAR5? Alison is out...whoohooo....now, no need to endure her as i did in Big Brother last year. But no one seem to be enduring to me as last few seasons. Myabe I'll support the bowling moms and chip and kim. The rest all seem so boring and pathetic(the twins and pizza boys especially).
ENough rambling for now. It's gonna be same old same old for next few weeks. sleep, eat, gilmor-ing and things of that nature. Probably go lim teh all the time as well. And speaking of Gilmore, they finally got an emmy nom after 4 season. Best makeup for 'the festival of living art', one of the worst episode of the entire series. Emmy sucks.
going to church tonight. bye

More TV rants
Firstly, yesterday's Gilmore Girls. Luke and Lorelai's dancing. Isn't that great??? I mean, after 4 seasons, we finally see them hooking up, dancing so sweetly and LUKE ASKING LORELAI FOR A DATE. Hope the writers don't screw up much of this pairing. Lane and her mom too was great. "You two are girls" is such a great line.
La Toya is out of AI. And Jasmine stayed. HAAATTTTEEEEE. I mean, her whole demanor is just pathetic. HEr laugh and blowing kisses when knowing she's save, then that change of face when people starts booing. Smug b*tch. The worst AI finalist ever. Even Carmen, Corey, John Stevens and Josh Gracin show more class than her. Although I wanna see more of her next week. Reading all the HATE post on TWOP about her is so much better than watching this mediocre season this year.
Enough rant.

I've got Locke's CD..:D:D:D:D Seriously, that was a really hard CD to find here. I've combed about 10 shops before finding out Futureshop here seem to be the only store that carries the cd. What's worse is that in the other stores that did not have the CD, i see huge amount of William Hung staring at me. How twisted can this world be? seriously. Anyway like the album. It's pretty nice and poppy. Wish they had more songs that showcase her rich smoky voice that she gave us during AI though. But nevertheless, finally! A Locke CD....
I've also got Gilmore Girls Season 1 DVD. Now most of you should know I love that show to death. And season 1 is just the best season. There was not Jess, it was more focussed on drama side instead of comedy. And it's still damn funny. The show's about relationship, damnit. How perfect was 'Rrory's Dance', 'Christopher Returns' and evern 'Forgiveness and Stuff'. I've already put GG season 1 high out on a pedestal, but now I am making a higher pedestal for it.
And speaking of GG, Lorelai and Luke dance this week on the show. Giddy giddy giddy giddy. And a big FINALLY
That's it with some of my pop culture crap for now. Friends ended yesterday with a sweet but underwhelming episode. like the foosball, the chick and duck and even the take a break comment from Ross but it was just so...not series finale material. Nevertheless Friends has a huge part of my growing up process and will hold a special place in my heart. If I can forget the season 7 and the last 2 seasons.

Have any one album affected your mood? I have been constantly listening to the amazing Mariah opus Butterfly on repeat. The whole album over and over again. On repeat. And I think it is seriously affecting my mood. The album, I find, is very dark and at the end of every listen it makes me moodier. Maybe I should stop listening to it but I can't really stop. Probably like drugs :P. But at least drugs make you high....
The song 'Outside' close the huge great album Butterfly and everytime I listened to it, it always seem like it's written specially for me. I know I did a poem of somewhere along the same vein in Ginny's class in F4 (ew. Ginny...yuck!!!) but I don't think I ever have a song that seems to be written specially for me. Just that's one of the reason I love Mariah so very much.
Here's the lyrics of the song
Outside
Lyrics: M. Carey
Music: M.Carey/ W. Afanesieff
It's hard to explain
Inherently it's just always been strange
Neither here or there
Always somewhat out of place everywhere
Ambiguous
Without a sense of belonging to touch
Somewhere halfway
Feeling there's no one completely the same
Standing alone
Eager to just
Believe it's good enough to be what
You really are
But in your heart
Uncertainty forever lies
And you'll always be
Somewhere on the
Outside
Early on, you face
The realization you don't
have a space
Where you fit in
And recognize you
Were born to exist
Standing alone
Eager to just
Believe it's good enough to be what
You really are
But in your heart
Uncertainty forever lies
And you'll always be
Somewhere on the
Outside
And it's hard
And it's hard
And it's hard
Irreversibly
Falling in between
And it's hard
And it's hard
To be understood
As you are
As you are
Oh, and God knows
That you're standing on your own
Blind and unguided
Into a world divided
You're thrown
Where you're never quite the same
Although you try try and try
To tell yourself
You really are
But in your heart-uncertainty forever lies
And you'll always be
Somewhere on the outside
I've let on too much about me. Which I totally shouldnt. I've really never posted personal stuff like this here but I just feel the urge to post this. so there...
I've also went to a camp with people in my church fellowship this weekend. Now in case you are gasping with surprise thinking of the unlikelihood of KCS and camping, I'll have you know that it doesn't involve things like setting up tent or all those things. And I stayed indoor most of the time. So it's not that bad of a thing. I'll tell you more about it but i want this post to have a more moody feel and telling you about the camp that I actually enjoyed would defeat the purpose. So some other time
I'll leave you here for now. I'll promise and more consistent and frequent blogging soon. Not that you guys really care.
back to listening to more Butterfly. The Roof is on now. Have I told you how much I love this song?

Phew, I'm back. Had a busy few weeks, so I didn't update as much (or actually, at all). But with only one final left, and it being on Saturday (24th), I do think I have some time now in my hand to paste a few ramblings here.
Anyway, let's start with something fresh in my mind. 24 this week. intense. ok, a stupid person called Bush decided to have a press conference on tuesday so Fox push this to Sunday. And what a ride.It was intense from beginning to end and the last 20 minutes was just a huge rollercoaster ride. Plus, they've killed off 2 major characters in 2 week. Hope this will go on till the end of the season.
If you heard me shout in glee last Wednesday(7) and another one on Thursday (15), it's because some bad people is finally out of AI. Adios JPL and Camille. Now, Diana, Jasmine and John please follow suit. Oh yeah, Paula and Ryan can go too.
Anyway that's a bit of my Tv viewing pleasure for this past week. Don't feel like typing. So I won't. Bye

Ladies and gentlemen: Kimberley Locke's first video EVER
I can't believe I am saying this, but use IE, y'all. That's a stupid Launch page. I know they suck but their sucktitude is small in comparison to Locke's awesomeness
Thursday, March 18, 2004 03:51 p.m.
Very very very very very busy week. So gonna post some things about AI. Leah deserve to leave. So did about half other people in the group. And speaking of irony, soul music indeed. Can't hear no soul in most of these people there. Some (like Jasmine) might have great voice but she doesnt even feel the song.
More rantings some other time. Bye

I thought I might have her held too high. Maybe she really wasn't that good. Good thing I found this page. Because I was blown away again. Lisa Leuschner has the voice, the power, the soul and most importantly, she feels what she is singing. And guess what, "you are one of the best singer in the competition, but you are cut". Screw them. Let Leah LaBelle win AI for all i care. Let Matt tell you all about Rosebowl again. Here's a toast to the flop of American Idol 3.

Allow me to rant about a few things that I am sure you guys don't care
I finally saw CMT Inside Fame with Brad Paisley. It was aired about 3 weeks ago in US and finally CMT Canada air it this week. Anyway a few interesting tidbits:
-He got his first guitar at age 8
-He wrote his first song at 12 called 'Born On Christmas Song'
-Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks and George Strait all expressed interest to sing 'I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)
-When he move to Nashville, his girlfriend dumped him. To get closure, he went to watch Father Of The Bride 2 on the same time and date as their first date where they watch Father Of the Bride 1 there. She never arrived.
-But he saw Kimberly Williams in the movie and was attracted to her. He called her agent in the pretense of making a video with her and they dated and later married.
End of Brad rant
So glad Nashville Star starts already. (For those who don't know, Nashville Star is like American Idol, only it's country and has more talent and less suckage). It was a great show and I liked 7 out of the 10 finalist (Yes, in one episode, Nashville Star has pick their finalist, something that AI still hasn't done in 1 1/2 months) But a singer I like a lot Sean Patrick MacGraw was cut by the judge. Bummer.
William Hung is seriously grating now. Why can't his 15 minutes end now? And Lisa will be able to get into AI top 12 right? right? rightt?? pleaseeee....

And Lisa and Katie back for wildcard. Lisa, please let her go into the finals now. She was robbed the first time around.
And I love Gilmore yesterday. kelly Bishop is so so so amazing. And the fantastic Lauren Graham too. And seeing Luke and Nicole fight are like the best things ever. Luke deserve to be with Lorelai. period. And now that 24, GG and friends has or will be gone to rerun land for a while, I can catch some breath and, y'know, get a life :p
