Monday, May 29, 2006 // Bridging the gap of years
A lot of things can change in three years.

I look back at this page, so many weeks and days and hours later, and realise how much I've changed.

I'm 18. My sidebar info says I was 15 when this was last updated.

I have a driver's license. I hadn't even thought of that before.

I am a high school graduate with a diploma from Signature. When I abandoned this blog, I was a sophomore who wanted to leave the aforementioned school.

I'm dating Jon. I was proudly single with Jordan as my only "boyfriend" when this was last updated. Jon was just some guy from French class who burned me a copy of the RotK soundtrack.

Buddy now has 11 titles in Obedience, Agility, and Tracking. My last update that mentions his career has only two behind his name.

I've experienced my first kiss, my first car accident, my first job, my first road trip, and so many other incredible 'firsts' in this absence. I look back at these entries and laugh; I took life so seriously then, seeing every tiny conflict as a world event equal in precidence to war and birth and death. My life was the only one that mattered, and the lives of my friends only supplimented my story.

I have learned that I was wrong.

I have also learned that I was right. While I may have learned to see life in perspective, and while my worldview has changed so drastically, I have not lost my spirit. The world doesn't have to break you, nor do you have to break the world. You must learn to compliment each other, or else you walk alone.

Anyway, I decided to put together a long list of things that have happened this year; some good, some bad, some new things, some things that have ended (for better or worse), new friends, old friends, obsessions, hobbies, objects, places... All these things are important to me, and this will be a long, rambling list. Watch out for my train of thought; it's running wild, and it may run you down ;)

Saturday, December 27, 2003 // Gotta love that song...
Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why.
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf of good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
