Must I reiterate that I was wearing a pillowcase for my Ayame costume? X3 I still find that incredibly amusing...anyways, I'm working on a REAL white undercoat(?) for my Ayame costume now. Go me.

I'm sorry for only pitasing quiz results lately, but I'm really, really busy. All this is, really, is a way of letting you all know I'm alive. ^^;; And Imouto? I'll make sure to set aside a few hours for you Thanksgiving break. :)
And quickies: Phi, I hope you're feeling more settled? Peaceful? Whatever applies. My brain in being uncooperative. Just be well. Amanda, got your letter. I love you! I'll write you soon!! (b/f thanksgiving, i hope) Erm, brain running low. Will finish up laters. Love you all~!

And MELISSA has a pitas now~!! <3<3 Sexgerbil? XD I love you, Melissa, you know that, right? (if you or Sachiko for that matter would like me to do a pretty layout for your pitases, just ask! I would love to~!!)

Teehee, might as well do some quizes too before doing homework type stuff!
What Final Fantasy summon are you? brought to you by Quizilla
You are Carbuncle! Rather than attacking, you help protect party members from taking damage. You're always there when you're needed, and you're a cutie to boot
Hug me. I'm cute and fluffy! XD
What Type Of Anime Character Are You? brought to you by Quizilla
You're An Intellectual! You can always be found reading or on the computer. People always come to you when they need information. You don't really care about love at this point, your only goal is to improve your mind. After all, knowledge is power!
Surprise surprise.
You're wind! You are a very kind and sympathetic person. Whoever DOESN'T like you has a mental disorder, because you are a loving and caring gentle soul.
o_O Hmm....interesting. "Cynical" has never been a word to describe me. But...yes. Insightful.
I love tests. XD And now...homework! Tomorrow ish Harry Potter~!!! Yay!!

For my own reference (and future guilt tripping), a list of things to do this weekend:
-final draft for writing class
-study electochemistry
-math homework
-engineering lab
-figure out how to get permission to take five classes next semester
-read engineering chapters to prepare for test in a little more than a week >_>
-ditto for the math test; they're on the same day >_<
-start getting ready for finals
-work on website (esp. the fanart section, a little on cosplay, and start gathering materials for author fanpages XD)
Rewards? Harry Potter on Saturday night (XD I love my roommate~!!) and my Robin Hobb book should come next week~! XD
And dude, I need to catch up on Dragon Drive and Prince of Tennis and Hikaru no Go. I'm sooo behind on episodes. >_<

Drew this at Oekaki Central today. Stopped copying other people's styles, and just went with my own. I guess I like the results... Now if only I knew if the colors are okay or not on normal computers. >_< (stoopit laptop...) I needed to draw after the travesty that was my calculus quiz today. >_< ...actually, okay, it wasn't too bad. I might have done well. Except I totally forgot how to do what was possibly the easiest question on the quiz. >_< Grr. Study all the complicated stuff, forget the easy stuff. That's me.
I'm so tired. I think I'll sleep early today...
-karura expounded on the sanctity of "a man's romance" on Wednesday, November 13, 2002, 10:00 p.m.
Off to a calculus study session. (EEEK!! Lisa actually going to a study session? Will wonders never cease?) (FYI, I hate study groups. Generally, I find them a.inefficient if I'm with friends b.uncomfortable, if I'm with a group I don't know very well and c.they generally just make me feel stupid, because I can't think on the spot very well. >_< I need pondering time.) But yes, off. And boy do I need it. >_> Quiz on four sections tomorrow, and I only understand this material in a very loose sense. At this point I'd just take the partial derivative of whatever the teacher gives me and hope for the best. >_< I just want it to be tomorrow. After math. Now.
Lisa is taking no math next semester. Or ever again. XD HA! (After this semester, where I have basically two math classes, calc and engineering 53, which is engineering numerical methods, which basically translates to math in engineering >_> the rest of my college years are going to seem sooo easy.)
-karura expounded on the sanctity of "a man's romance" on Tuesday, November 12, 2002, 06:49 p.m.
I don't understand what the hell I'm doing or why it's working, but I'm getting my calculus problems correct now. At this point, it's good enough for me.

I'm going to blog before I go and pump caffeine into my system. Seems wise, considering the, uh...(stares at entry below this one)...yeah.
Slept most of yesterday, and all of this morning, thanks to that wondrous thing called NyQuil. Am feeling well now, thank you. However, in order to stay awake the rest of today, I need caffeine now. (I still have...lessee...chemistry problems, math homework, and the second draft of my essay to do. Joy.) My Robin Hobb book shipped~!!! <3<3 (good thing. I finished off the Feintuch, to my regret, and I need more books to read. ;_; It's funny how with my favorite books I really want to know what happens, but I don't want the book to end, either. Very strange feeling.) Oh, and the new Kate Elliot book is coming out next February, and the new Lynn Flewelling book next July. And Harry Potter 5!! Soon, please, Ms. Rowling + publishers.
This was an entirely pointless entry.

Yay!!! I'm alive, and well, and...yeah!! I feel like I have control over myself/my situation now, sooo...I'm back!! :D (that was a not so long departure. Especially since I punctuated my "absence" with pics on the oekaki board. >_> Oh, speaking of oekaki! New pic. Muraki. I don't like it. But I gave it to Kouri anyway, for making me like Muraki in Falling. :P I'll draw her something better later. And speaking of oekaki, I SOOO hate what I've done so far. >_> You know how I got all frustrated when I work with paints and paintbrushes? You know, *STABSTAB* StUPId *STABSTAB* #($*#($ **STABSTAB* PAIIINNNTTBRUUSHHHH!!!!>_<>__> Except I can't, because tablets are a lot more expensive than paintbrushes. >_< Grr, how frustrating!! And I haven't even found my CG style yet. *stabstab* Grrr. Why do I do art, dammit? It infuriates me so MUCH!! >_<
Hi. I'm normal, really.
Other sctuffs: reading David Feintuch's The King. OhmiGOSH it's good. o_O Everyone must read. Now. Err, well, you should read his The Still first (as incentive for yaoi fangirls, yes, there's lots for you here; as incentive for everyone else, it has an excellent plot, excellent characters, it's extremely engaging and well written. ....but I'll admit the yaoi fangirl part drew me in as well. ^^;;) While you're at it, read Robin Hobb's books. And Lynn Flewellyn, too, especially her newest, The Bone Doll's Twin, the only book that's even close to the horror genre that I'll touch. So good. *_* And for all of these authors, EXCELLENT characters, great writing styles, and involving, gritty storylines. (<--lisa's criterium for good books) So yeah, read those authors. Make Lisa happy. XD (oh, and I found a Japanese artist that draws David Feintuch fanart!! o_O For anyone who HAPPENS to be interested, here it is. There's nice Harry Potter fanart there, too! XD (I WANNA SEE THE NEW HARRY POTTER MOVIE TOOO!!!!!! >_< Not hyper. No. It's just the coffee, that's all. Latte. Yum.)
Errm, can't think of anything else to babble about, except bah to Phi for almost finishing Kingdom Hearts. >_< I haven't played since October break. That was forever ago. And our dorm's PS2 is broken. >_< Ewewew. Can't play until I go home for Christmas break. ;_; And I won't see everyone for Thanksgiving break because I'M NOT GOING HOME!! ;_; I won't see everyone and everyone's going to be there and it's SO SAD!! >_< I miss everyone so much...just want to go home. ;_; Sachiko, the thing with how long Speed stayed together? I think that almost made me cry. How long were WE all together? It's so sad to think about... And happy the play ended up happily, Meimi!! :D Wellll, mostly...
Caffeine makes me so weird and random and incoherent. I'm going to finish Feintuch now. XD
-karura expounded on the sanctity of "a man's romance" on Thursday, November 7, 2002, 11:16 p.m.
Hmm...I lied. >_> I drew this after I wrote my entry yesterday. <_< Two words. No willpower. And the oekaki wasn't very good, either. >_< Baaahhh. Must redeem myself. Later. After tests. Baaahhh. (sheep!)
Kix likes Azumanga Daioh tooo!!! XD It rocks so much. Sooo funny. Heehee, you know the dream episode? That one was sooo freaky, especially the whole the cat is Chiyo-chan's father thing? XD I was dying the entire episode. But I die every episode. Everyone should watch it!! (urggh, and pervert teacher man is freeaaakkyyy. O_O) And nooo, everyone should know what Hikago is, Phii!!! >_< Go Phi!! Hikago must spread, dammit! And Imouto, you can decide birthdays and stuffs. :D And I'm sorry I didn't have time to finish inking this weekend. :(
And I love Kijin. (Lisa was flipping through her Yami manga instead of studying. >_>) I would oekaki Kijin, but all I know about him in terms of color is his hair is blue. (mangaka-san made this very clear. :P) Love Kijin. Yupyup. And oh, I have Garnet's pendant~!!! XD Got it Friday for like, $2. o_O So I HAVE to cosplay Garnet noowww~~!! Also got the meshy arm thingies for Yuffie (trouser socks XD) and Yuffie's white headband. Walmart rocks. And that's it. What are those two words again? Yeah, I'm going to have to work on that. >_> I really am trying to swear off the internet, I really am...
-karura expounded on the sanctity of "a man's romance" on Sunday, November 3, 2002, 08:30 p.m.
Grrr. Got nothing academic done today. I am very pissed at myself. (I did go to Walmart, and got a broom, a dustpan, an ironing board, a lamp, etcetera, but I neglected to get a bulb for my lamp...so blah. >_>) Also did laundary and bought a book and a sketchbook at Borders. XD (It was a hardback. >_< But I WANTED it. David Feintuch rocks my world, and I didn't even KNOW he was planning on writing a followup to The Still... Almost as good as getting Robin Hobb's new book. Which hasn't shipped yet. >_<) So yeah, nothing academic done, which is bad, because I have a math test on Monday(which I must get the highest grade possible on, because it's the easiest test of the semester), a chemistry quiz on Monday (and of the three lectures that contained the material on this quiz, I was only fully awake for one of them), and the first draft of a paper due in writing, which at least I have done the research and an outline for. But in general, I'm pretty screwed. (The fact that today was one of the BAD day of my period doesn't help either-it was one of those days that even two ibuprofens barely made an impact on my cramps. >_<) And maybe I'm just being paranoid, but the fact that finals are coming are starting to worry me. I'm kinda borderline A in most of my classes except writing, which is solid A, (well, I'm not sure where in the B range my engineering grade is >_>) and I want to make sure I get off to a good start this first semester of college, or it'll mess up my momentum.
So yeah. I need to get rid of my distractions for now, which are many. >_> Including oekaki/tablet/fanart, blogs, fics, cosplay, video games (though since our dorm's PS2 is broken >_< I won't have to worry about that very much) and the internet in general. So until I feel like I have complete control over my various academic affairs, I won't be online very often except to check e-mail and maybe write an entry every so often. So basically I'm trying to say I'm swearing off the internet for a while. Trust Lisa to spend two paragraphs to get to such a simple point. >_> If I do end up majoring in English, I'm probably going to drive my professors insane. ^^;; I think I'll still check blogs every so often, especially Imouto's. But yeah. I need to start getting a grip on my study habits and my life here. ^^;; Ramblerambleramble. I should have ended this a long time ago, but I don't want to study. Which is the problem to begin with.
